Canada, more than poor economically, a socially sterile country. No sense of belonging, love, community, fun or pride. Traditional families are a rarity. If the US dollar loses its exchange value for other countries then the US will be faced with the same issues as other western countries--such as Canada. This isn't to exonerate the failures of both Liberal and Conservative Canadian governments over the past 20 years. More to say that productivity is lower in Canada than the US because Canada's currency isn't the international mechanism of exchange . . .

If Canada uses it's wisdom to choose a leader with an aptitude for economics, and behaves with the collectivistic humility we are known for, perhaps we will weather this storm and come out stronger on the other side. When making decisions from fear or anger, Canadians become individualistic and do our entire nation a major disservice by destroying any chance of using this crisis to propel our way out of the pit we are currently in. We need to avoid pointing fingers because for decades cowardly and self-serving decision-making have led us here. Never forget that the new immigrant delivering your food isn't your enemy - the con artist/felon trying to steal our resources and autonomy is.

As a Canadian from one of the best educational programs in the country, that produces the countries smartest engineers, and CS grads. I can say most of my friends plan to leave Canada in the long term or after Graduation.

Looking on Google maps it’s very easy to zoom in on all the sections where people can walk from one road or hiking track in Canada to a USA road. They could even enter using a kayak or canoe. ?

There's something strange going on here!!! It,s not hard to find vid,s of illegals crossing from the U/S into Canada and police acting like bell hops helping them with there luggage. Seen exactly that on a utube vid out of Quebec,and there are many others of them crossing 20 to 40 at a time other places.??????

whats happening is people are coming here, mostly Indians, are coming to Canada as students... then when their student visa is over they claim asylum... when their asylum is eventually denied which can take a while they walk across the border and do it all over again... I believe that is the majority of who is walking across the border to the USA ... Elections and change are coming to Canada soon, but this is so shameful.

When you cross a land border, there is no Exit barrier, only an Entry barrier. Essentially they check you on the way in and can turn you around. Why is it up to Canada to stop people leaving vs the USA stopping people coming in? About 20-30 years ago - before MJ was legal - Canada had to stop USA migrants crossing from WA into BC with illegal MJ the USA couldn’t have cared less.
