I’m writing a novel series where there’s a different president in office in 2009-2013, and during this time the crisis in Canada leads to them joining with the UK and other Anglo nations to create a new British empire under the rule of King Charles, and the American president is then forced into a conflict with this new geopolitical foe, and it’s all for personal reasons.
