Thank you for separating the american people from the very small percentage of those in the White House administration behind these actions. Most americans are not in agreement with any of what's coming out of the president's office. He's lost sight of what American really stands for - and that his role, along, with those of his administration, are paid servants. Obligated to SERVE every citizen of their country - including representing and fulfilling the wishes of the people they serve. Whether they like all the people or agree with the needs of all the people. The people of our country don't want what's happening with Canada, Mexico or Ukraine. Or Russia for that matter. Trudeau you're a PM and when you disrespect the president publically you disrespect America, so you have no right to address the American people. You don't know how to handle politics and thats why your own people have verbalized that they want you gone! Your lack of respect for the President and the United States is what put you and your country in this situation in the first place. Tou're leaving out on a low. Humble yourself and sit down and talk to the President, and address him as such, and he'll cut you a deal, and you can gain back some dignity. Otherwise, stop complaining to the world community. All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Why cant to you balance the imports and exports so that you don't have to keep taking advantage of USA. CNN did not see the trade deficit every single year for 20 years? what are they talking about? If tariffs were there in 2024, US would have gotten back 15 billion dollar revenue from Canada and Mexico would have paid 46 billion to USA. All this time, this was affecting only Americans and while you are enjoying not paying for your share, you have made US pay by taking loans to pay for the imports increasing our Debt. Yes it has been hurting America for the past 20 years, otherwise how did we accumulate 36.5 trillion debt.\n\nLike Justin said, if Canada can survive while paying 15 billion to USA, of course USA will do fine while collecting the 15 billion from Canada and 46 billion form Mexico. Build products that other countries want at a price that makes sense. The EU has no laws that prevent American car manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. Yes, the middle and upper middle class probably don't care, but the lower classes and the already poor are not going to be happy. Once people are hungry, then you'll see people on the street. Once the farmers start losing their farms and small businesses start losing their investments, you'll see people on the streets. Americans are not hungry enough yet. Just wait.

What I don't understand the taxpayers are the ones that are flipping the government's tap. The billionaires are the ones that are causing the deficit to be so high. I live in the area where they go threw the border and they can basically walk right threw the border as most of the border stations are closed at night. They may want to be careful as people are putting Conibear traps along the border to catch people from going on their land illegally. The government leaves the border wide open and in the winter the Ice bridge is open on the St. Lawrence so they can walk right in.
