Trump was horrible with business. How in the world do all these people think he knows what he is doing?

Tariffs are historically a horrible tax. But since Trump is imposing them it will be the best tariff tax ever.

This is what voting liberal gets you. High crime, high prices, homeless everywhere, sanctuary city, courts are a revolving door, open use of hardcore drugs in actually encouraged thru drug injection sites,, irresponsibly high immigration…all combine to make Toronto a pretty horrible / dangerous city. While I still own property in Toronto, I spend very little time in the city these days. On the bright side, Trudeau will be gone fairly soon…and Trump and Pierre will work well together.

The United States needs to have everybody educated in this country after this horrible president is kicked out for destroying the economy, so we can fix the stupid in this country and not elect stupid leaders like Donald Trump

I have a little friend who is an elderly Cuban lady, has been in this country since she was young, and is a Democrat! She recognizes how awful trump is. I haven't talked with her since the horrible election, but I'm sure she's worried for our country.

The kind of deportation Trump has been talking about has gone beyond people that are here illegally. Trump has expanded it to include what he calls 'undocumented' migrants. That group includes people waiting for their asylum hearings, DACA recipients and protected status migrants/refugees, and people that have already had their asylum hearings, but are awaiting their citizenship hearings. \nAs for the narrative about 'murderers' and 'violent/horrible' criminals being in our country, it's like....wait...what??? Now, if you KNOW a person is a convicted murderer or horrible criminal, WHY would you allow them into or allow them to stay in this country to begin with? And, you'd kind of have to allow them to stay, otherwise, how the hell would you know how many of them are here?? Or who they are?? You can bet your butt that Pres. Biden didn't allow any people like this, that weren't in our prison system, yet 'known' to remain on US soil. That's not how it works! Not to mention, a large portion of the 13 to 15,000 number that Trump and the Right keep tossing out there, are from when Trump was in office! NOT during Pres. Biden's administration! \nIt's all been a lie manufactured for one purpose: to scare monger Trump's base. And it worked. Now Trump 'has a mandate' to put on an insane, cruel, probably hugely illegal 'show', of him rounding up large numbers of people and shipping them off to who the hell knows where..... whether they were here illegally or not. (he's already vowed to deport the 20,000 Haitians in Springfield, even tho they entered the country, LEGALLY, while TRUMP was president! HE is the one that signed their protected status into law!) Trump's deportation extravaganza is going to be ugly, brutal, bloody, grim and senselessly cruel, to a great many people that more likely than not, have no reason to be deported.

This is horrible. They should take all these immigrants to the front of Biden and Kamala's house. TRUMP 2024!

No matter what kind of insurance you have, you still have to deal with a stupid amount of red tape and bureaucracy just to get your care covered, and the drug prices are out of control. and you have no idea when that horrible health issue is going to happen to you. In Canada, I go to the doctor, I give my health card, done deal. The healthcare system in Ontario particularly is under attack and they're trying to privatize hospital care by underfunding everything else. But our premier is also a Conservative Trump Lite wannabe who is buddy buddy with a lot of rich folks. There are absolutely problems here, Canada is dysfunctional in a lot of ways. But I would NEVER move to the states, definitely not as a disabled/chronically ill woman. Hell no. Also--we're not THAT nice, Americans are always surprised at how much Canadians dislike the USA. My brother moved there but he's much more conservative than me (for Canada) and his job doesn't exist here in Canada.

Move? Hell no. I won’t even travel there. The US health care, guns, racism, heat, crazy individualism, crappy education system, it goes on and on. Never mind the horrible political situation Trump, religious nuts. . . Why more sane Americans don’t move away is stunning.

Tabarnac is a deformation of a sanctified vessel used to store holly tool. It is swear. Like Crisse instead of Christ, and more. I would never go to live in USA. It's ugly, you have gun massacres, Evangelists born Christians, and other horrible things like anti abortion laws forcing rape victims to go through a pregnancy. You people are backward to the the Middle ages, book bans and on top the Trans pandemic. You have Dylan Mulvaney. No thank you. No medical coverage.. You have the Anti-Christ, Donald Trump. Your politic used to be grant, now the House is full of crazy MAGA. NO WAY JOSE, NOT GOING TO USA EVEN OR VACATIONS. NONONONO?

Biden should be impeached for this invasion. All these people have no respect for our Nation's laws. Trump would never have allowed this to happen. We are being invaded with horrible consequences. Vicious gangs, tons of fentanyl and other drugs being brought in, the drug cartels are flooding our country with drugs. The left wing liberal media covers everything up. One thing that isn't covered is the drug cartels are being paid by terrorist countries like Iran to transport Islamic terrorists and their weapons into our country. Many terrorist cells are here and just waiting to attack.

During the 1930's media in various countries made immigrants and asylum seekers out to be this horrible thing and demonised them. This came after a huge recession in 1923, the Wall Street crash, and the subsequent dramatic rise of far right parties in various countries, specifically Italy, then Germany and Spain. \nFast-forward to modern times. 2008 saw another global recession. Once again politics swung massively to the right with countries like Italy (once again), Hungary, Austria, Poland and Sweden, voting in right wing governments, France ending in a run off that narrowly defeated the far right, Belgium and Spain looking likely to be heading into heavily right wing governments at the next elections, whilst the US and UK governments both saw their politics swinging far further in that direction, especially the UK right now whilst led by an unelected leader who is demonising people in ways that would make Trump look soft. One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.
