I was very disappointed with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. While I have always been pressed by his superior leadership record and skills especially with his spectacular response to the impending tariffs by travelling to UK and Europe and talking about trading with Europe and East Asian countries.\nWhat a disappointment when he called Putin a murderous dictator. Justin, let’s look at the record of your friends in the West. USA has over decades bombed and killed millions of Muslims in Arab countries. Today the murders continue to go one without a peep from you or your western leader friends. In the last week the US has bypassed Congress to ship billions of dollars of bombs to Israel so Israel can with these US bombs cleanse Gaza. So Israel can steal the Palestinian lands so Trump can built a resort and hotels in these stolen Palestinian lands.\nSo what about Ukraine? Same story, different tactic. NATO with your consent poked the Russian bear for decades before Russia, whose warnings about NATO expansion went unheeded. Russia had no choice but to fight a proxy war with Ukraine as US kept on shipping dollars and weapons to Ukraine ‘to weaken Russia’. When you won the election, Justin, I thought that a younger Canadian whose father was one of the most independent thinking leader, that you would take a history lesson and realize that the US foreign policy over decades has been the cause for so much complicity in so many countries around the world. Listen to Jeffrey Sachs and get your thoughts sorted out.\nListen to Ilan Pappe to know how the country you hug and kiss has murdered and stole Palestinian lands for over 7 decades. I have not once heard from you that Israel should be called out.

They have been putting our corporations out of business that compete with them here by giving those Canada companies subsidies so they can sell their materials cheaper than ours. It’s really crazy how people were so happy to pay more money for everything when Biden’s people manipulated us to think it was important to support Ukraine’s war and that was why prices were going up. Now, no one wants to support businesses coming to the US. \nThere are way worse things than prices going up for a few years. We do need to start chipping away at that $36trillion. We are the 1st country to not go belly up with the GDP ratio to debt as high as ours. Economists that aren’t connected to our government and top CEO’s said last year that it didn’t matter who was president, our dollar will reset and our economy will crash. So, somebody has to do something. Trump and his people has to think outside the box to stop it. Especially if interest rates don’t go down, because if we can’t pay the interest and our corporations can’t either, the crash will happen.

If Trump serves out this term without being removed, America as a functioning democracy is finished. \nThe media needs to wake up. Enough with the “Trump fatigue” excuse. This is not just another scandal—this is the single greatest infiltration of American power in history. Journalists need to dig into Mussayev’s claims, demand declassification of intelligence files, and treat this like the national emergency that it is. \nCongress needs to subpoena Mussayev immediately. His testimony must be public, and every document he has should be reviewed. If there is proof that Trump has been compromised since the 1980s, the American people need to know. \nThe Justice Department needs to stop pretending that Trump is just another politician. If there is evidence that the sitting president of the United States is working in Russia’s interests, he must be removed from office and prosecuted for espionage. \nAnd the American public? You have one last chance. This is not about Republican vs. Democrat. This is not about taxes, gas prices, or whatever nonsense outrage is dominating the news today. I don't even think the people who voted for Donald Trump wanted these tariffs against the rest of the world either....I really don't understand the sense behind it because this is not going to make America greater.... Why isn't Canada doing anything to stop illicit drugs in their Country. That's what this is about. Trump is America First and I won't apologize for that. \nTrudeau is talking like he has some kind of power over the U.S. Not very smart Canada will go broke if they don't comply with Trump's reques to shut down drug trafficking in Canada that comes across our border. \nFentanyl is still detected in an overwhelming majority of illicit drug deaths in Canada, according to PHAC, but the unpredictability and potency of other substances mixed in with the fentanyl are making the supply more dangerous. \nMexican cartels are operating fentanyl and nitazene synthesis labs in Canada. \nA recent study recognized Canada’s heightened domestic production of fentanyl, and its growing footprint within international narcotics distribution. \nCanada-based drug trafficking organizations maintain robust “super labs,” mostly in rural and dense areas in western Canada, some of which can produce 44 to 66 pounds of fentanyl weekly.

Is it possible that this is all about access to critical minerals - which Canada and Ukraine hav in abundance. America has form in creating a pretence to go to war to protect access to cheap oil. But in the past these wars were against arab nations and so the West found it easy to 'other' and accept the need for war. Now America under Trump is hoping to secure critical minerals (modern day oil) - but because they are allies he cant start an outright war. So hes doing it through trade. This is old form for America. When looked through this lense is not so difficult to understand. The big question is will the west allow him to bully western allies - democracies to be bullied into submission?

Trump has to go ! One way or another!

Go back and listen to Trump on tariffs. If a country is fair with America, America will be fair with them. Americans do not realize how many tariffs we pay as a country. There are also countries that do not allow us to sell in their countries although they sell to America.\n\nFor years Canada has allowed a steady flow of illegals and drugs into our country. What Putin has asked Donald Trump to do is to break away from my allies so he can become a dictator! If the people of the United States do not stand up, we are going to end up in World War iii, we are going to end up poor, hungry, and barely hanging on for our lives because Donald Trump is selling us out 2 our enemy is there any ignorant ass person that still standing behind Donald Trump and think he's a great guy, you need to go and fuc yourself! I am pissed off and frightened at the same time one a little bit more than others at time because the United States has been taken over by a Madman that is so hungry to be a dictator like Putin and he actually think is going to happen and he would do everything to make it happen! Donald Trump has been tested in the waters to become a dictator!

Could Canada Win a Trade War?\n Trump has waged Economic War on Canada in order to bring us to our knees so that we will eventually capitulate to become the 51st state.\n\n Had he come in a nice way, as a friend verses a foe, he would have had a lot more interest, especially from Alberta. \n\n Now that we are here, the question has to be asked, can we actually win a trade war that has probably been extensively war-gamed by the U.S.?\n\n Our politicians want us to go toe to toe with a 900 lb gorilla. So will we do the same? This would devastate us, achieving their goals.\n\n Canadians are already fighting back without the government making things worse. People are boycotting U.S. goods en masse and cancelling travel plans, etc. and this is already having a strong effect.\n\n Some say turn off the electricity and oil, but who will pay price? It will be the businesses and employees, not the politicians who are now trying to act tough. If we want this to turn into a real kinetic war, then turning off the taps may do it. \n\n We have seen countless times where politicians tell us what we want to hear, making us think they are heading is a certain direction, only to find they do the exact opposite. This proves you can not believe what career politicians say and have to go by what they do, or don’t do, instead. Yet now, they confidently declare that Canada will never become the 51st state. Like I've said before or two other blogs, this man should not be up there addressing CNN or any other network or any population. Whether it be Canadian or American. He has no right to be there. He is not the prime minister of this country anymore. He has no right to be making policies or to be imposing tariffs or doing anything else of the sort. Furthermore, he is also politically, unsavvy and ignorant. He in his running the mouth speech this afternoon. Insulted Donald Trump again by calling him dumb. I'm telling you that will not go very well with Mr. Trump and I wouldn't be surprised to see additional tariff percentage increased on the 25% already in place. Justin Trudeau is not a prime minister. He is a thug, an absolute idiot, a moron and any other adjective that you can find to describe someone who is totally and completely incompetent and incapable of implementing policy or running a country.

From an assumption that these and future tariffs will positively harm the US economy, just where does Trump go when the shit hits the fan (as it pretty much already has done)? How does he row back from the chaos he is causing and has caused. He doesn't retreat easily. I suspect that he will sack key members of his cabinet, effectively blaming them for this shift show, to try to save face. If the GOP ever grew a pair I can see impeachment in the works on the grounds of real and present harm to the US.

This American is tired of Trump slathering Putin's meat whistle & constantly disgracing our country. Trump & his evil cabal has got to go. I call for his resignation. Let him pardon himself just get him out of power because he's unstable.

Hey Republicans, you are now are on call! Do something about your boy Trump or you each will pay dearly! Dear CNN, \n The last time Trump went to Ruzzia to 'Negotiate' anything, he curiously left behind his Translation Team, his National Security Team, AND his Intelligence Team and walked into a room with Putin, (who had ALL those things with him). This resulted in D.J. getting pumped for info for around three hours. This 'Info' Putin has managed to use to great effect, as he entered into the Ukraine War, and now Donald wants to 'Negotiate' with Putin AGAIN on behalf of Ukraine?!? Trump doesn't even use the CIA for his geopolitical briefings, he actually uses 'Private Services' for his info, (at Taxpayer Expense) largely I'm sure, because anyone who is close to being Competent at what they do would 'KNOW' things, and would be correcting Trump, constantly, which he hates with a passion. On top of this there's Tulsi Gabbard who the Ruzzians themselves have publicly stated IS an Agent of theirs for the last Decade. It's for these reasons and more that I say D.J. is a Traitor to this Country for the love of money. \n How much more of an illustration does one require for a 'Worst Case' scenario?!? A 'Rogue Actor' taking control of the U.S. Government with full access to it's Nuclear Codes. It truly makes more sense to go Radio Silent with America, (for the time being at least) and co-ordinate with Mr.Zelenskyy as to how you will proceed. I would seriously be 'dragging my heels' on that Royal Invitation as well, as D.J. will completely misinterpret that to mean something entirely else! Trudeau has always been good in a crisis and for that I’m sorry to see him go. I give a thumbs up for all of parliament for putting differences aside in these last few weeks to fight against trump. I hope we bolster our trade with other countries and never go back to the USA.

This is exactly what Trump wants to destroy America!!!! to bring on techtocracy or maybe just to make his allies in Russia happy.. My Canadian health products I use for my colon has gone up 50% today. Unemployed, prices high at grocery store and my stock investments I use to survive and pay my bills tanked as market has reached bottom. Thanks to Trump we Americans will go on a recession and a depression soon.

As a South African, I want to say that this trade war, as well as the hostile approach of Trump towards Canada, is devastating. If one were not experiencing it directly, it would be almost impossible to believe. This is such a remarkable speech that it will go down in history as one of the truly great speeches in times of crisis. It is entirely correct to address the American and Canadian peoples directly, as the Prime Minister has done. They are both clear victims of this madness, Americans misled, and Canadians the target, of this senseless trade war. If one reads History, there is another dimension to this, and I hate to say it. Canadians have to prepare themselves for worse. These types of antics by the aggressor usually involve, finger pointing, contrived border incidents, plausibly deniable incursions and other actions, by the aggressor, which one can find if the preludes to the WW1 and WW2 are studied. The reason for this 'trade war' is not about 'trade'. It's about 'creating chaos' so that president Trump is the 'centre' of world attention. You only 'give responsibility' to someone who has the wisdom and expertise and understanding in order to both 'hold' and 'govern' wisely and without fear or favor. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. You would never let a child drive a super car on the highway so how much 'damage' has to happen before a world leader is not 'held to account' and his 'hands removed' from the steering wheel before there is a motor accident so large that the freeway is rendered unless and has to be totally shut down your. You cannot have total power in the hands of individuals who apparently do not possess the necessary skills knowledge and experience and wisdom that is required to fulfil the role they were elected to fulfil. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs.
