As a Canadian I am embarrassed at our Prime Minister doing the WRONG thing to prevent this trade war. 10 years of throwing our economy down the drain so he could make money off his fentanyl mega labs. Rebel news did a full investigation of Trudeau's ties to cartels. He's a lying POS and by far NOT a person with any moral fiber.

tRump is a liar, greedy, and corrupt idiot. I am considering moving to Canada from South Dakota. I am embarrassed to be a citizen of the USA. I feel like tRUMP and is wife are Russian assets. I have deep respect for Trudeau and his Dad.

Prime Minister Trudeau, thank you for showing the world how a true gentleman and leader talks to the leaders of another country in spite of the irrational, immoral and turncoat actions from a former Ally; our (?) new MAGA President Donald Trump. It's so surreal that this narcissistic, psychopathic person actually won the Presidential election (again). All I can say is I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of my broken country's politicians in Washington, D.C. at present. Many more Americans support the democratic policies than the anti-democratic that Trump's regime is spouting all around the world. Just know this isn't what most Americans believe and we don't support his thoughts and actions. We are trapped in this nightmare that makes no sense. We hope this is just a temporary change. These new policies benefit no one but the oligarchs of America (and world). I guess we are just going to have to take our punishment for the few years for not being able to prove that these people in Washington care NOTHING for anyone, including their own constituent, and are hell bent on taking down and destroying our American, Democratic way of life and we, the people, are helpless to stopping it dissolve and crumble. All my respect goes to Trudeau, who remained apologetic to the citizens of both countries throughout his speech. SHAME ON CNN for calling it Anti-Americanism !!! The speech of Mr Trudeau, the way Canadians have shown solidarity for one another, today it all puts my country, The US, to shame. I am ashamed of what my government is doing and I am disgusted with the people doing it. In Mr Trump’s first term, as eclipsed as they were by the many many many actions and attitudes he imposed on us that embarrassed and hurt us as a country, there was the rare occasional decision I could at least understand even if I did not support it. Since taking office literally not one thing he has done has made sense to me as an American. I can only say how sorry I am for what the country I love is being used to do to you all, especially our closest allies and friends and in particular the people of Canada today. I grew up in Commerce Twp Michigan. I visited Canada regularly and, even as crime from Detroit poured across the border into Canada, Canadians always treated us with respect and welcome. I never imagined that would stop but now I find it hard to imagine how it might continue and it breaks my heart.

As a German - apart from the content which is no less than justified - just technically comparing Trudeau´s speech with Donald Trump´s verbal outcome - what an incredible difference in niveau & tone. One disagreement Mr Trudeau: Trump is “very smart guy”? Nope. He certainly is “clever” which is what delineates smart from “criminal con man”.
