I’m a white Canadian and all I hear in this video is racist hate.

This is a pretty racist video. Canada does not belong to whites...it belongs to Indians who are First Nations. I wonder how many white enclaves there are in Canada?

I lived and grew up in small town Canada during the 80s and 90s and I can tell you white people weren't very friendly, and they certainly didn't hire people that were nonwhite for any of the good paying jobs, the data exists if you care to look. I think instead of promoting division and board line hate why don't work with these communities and find out why they only hire their own. Maybe pay back for the decades of being shit on by white Canada would probably be a reason you may hear; I know I do and have because I've asked owners of the companies. They are fed up with driving cabs and doing shit work so instead of crying about it they created communities or took over communities and made it so they don't have to reply on or hope that whites will help.... THEY HELPED THEMSELVES. and if you as a white person sat around and watched and let it happen since this didn't happen overnight well you are right where you belong, something to consider. Drop the race baiting and work and open communication with people and work toward a common goal. Maybe had that happened 20 or 30 years ago, Canada may not look like it does today. \nRemember immigration was initially intended to bring in workers for a set amount of time and then they were sent back. What is 'Canadian heritage?' What is a Canadian? I am not a liberal or even in favor of diversity but this video is downright racist. If people are not breaking the law and Canada's immigration system lets them in, leave them alone. Everyone wants a better life if they can get one. Mesg to all foreign and Indian students in Canada - never put up with this type of bad behavior, it is not tolerated in Canada. Calling the police will not get you into trouble if you feel threatened or unsafe. Not only was this guy threatening with physically violence, but the racist language was enough to get him arrested, verbal racial abuse is considered a hate crime. The guy sounds like Chinese or Korean, he was intentionally harassing the delivery guy and recorded video to humiliate him. The delivery guy should call police and complain for abusive behaviour. This Video is evidence to prove his crime. \nBut sadly some Indians have same reputation to being racist in their own country. Recently a Somalian blogger was racially harnessed in India. Indian minority people always harassed mostly Muslim and Dalit people by Hindu majority group. If Indian people do not change their behaviour to their own people you will get same treatment from others.

This is such a racist video. I live in Brampton and love living here. I enjoy the multiculturalism and learning from new immigrants to Canada. This video is very biased as he is interviewing folks right next door to the large halfway house for those in recovery. It's not like he's travelled to various parts of Brampton. There is A LOT of silent racism afainst Southern Europeans. Your facts about the BIPOC community experiencing racism is a falicy. The BIPOC community gets far TOO much support in Canada, from free hand outs- although they are well off as these wealthy BIPOC immigrants and citizens know how to play the system, to the best jobs and admission spots in medical school, law school, engineering, etc. There are very few Italian and S.European doctors and lawyers-most especially females in Canada, in addition to the fact that less than a staggering 1% of immigrants to Canada are Italian or S.European. Newsflash the BIPOC community is far more racist against so called White ppl. The Canadian government actually endorses this.\n\nIn retrospect this video is far too left!

I have mixed feelings about this video. This video does a good job outlining the immigration process but it does not highlight any of the negative consequences of immigration that Canada is experiencing. One of the main reasons why cost of living is so high in Toronto and Vancouver is precisely because we have so many immigrants coming in without enough housing supply. This is by design because politicians and the upper class have a vested interest in keeping real estate prices high because so much of their net worth is tied up in the housing market.\n\nAnother negative is that employers hire immigrants working low skilled jobs and pay them less than Canadians because the immigrants are willing to be taken advantage of since they're just happy to have a job in Canada which pays better than their country. \n\nAnother myth that gets repeated is that Canadian takes immigrants out of compassion and unfortunately a lot of Canadians believe this. It was never about compassion, it's about bringing more people to 1) pay taxes to support our social welfare as Canadian birth rates decline and boomers retire, 2) keep housing costs high and 3) pay immigrants lower wages for the same work because immigrants are fine being exploited since they have a job in a first world country.\n\nAnother problem is the cultural shift. In the most immigrant-dense regions you'll find that many immigrants themselves surprisingly don't want more immigrants coming to Canada because they see these negative consequences. The people who are most pro-immigration have no problem cramming 8+ people in a basement and exploiting their labour because they make enough money to live in communities that immigrants can't afford, and so they don't have to deal with the cultural shift that's taking place. This is NOT the fault of immigrants, but rather the politicians who put economic growth over quality of life. Over HALF the people in the GTA weren't born in Canada, so they didn't go through our school system and have no connection to our culture. Canada is unfortunately going to become very racist over the next 10-20 years as Canadians start feeling like outsiders in their own country. It's somehow considered racists to criticize the effect of multiculturalism on social unity, yet the cultures we accept in Canada only became distinct cultures because of monoculturalism.

Forced diversity only breaks the system, and immigrants gets lost in it and are not able to get the necessary education and skill they need. Therefore, you have the lack of diversity in any corporation or business that are operating today.

Whilst this video does an overall great job of advocating other cities for settlement, please do note that Oshawa is not an all great place to raise your family- filled with antisocial elements the town has been a haven for drug peddlers, and the likes. Hamilton is infamous for its racist attitudes toward non-white folks. Kitchener is a pretty good deal considering it has a balanced percentage of immigrants and native folks. Bake all these into your decision-making prior to finalizing where to live.
