The sad reality is these people are running away from a country that has abandoned them and gun violence. Guess how many guns stores they are in central and South America ? 0 ! Sad part is they all believe there is “the American Dream” an reality is there isn’t. Once entered illegally where do they think they will go to some kingdom where they are given everything they need to survive? They will come be homeless and in the system. As it Is, us that are here working and born here can hardly get by and less you have lots of money and are rich there is no dream.

Sad reality is these people are better dressed and look more healthy than 90% of Us citizens. These are definitely not all people that are in fear for their lives. They clearly have had food and water and some kind of life. What about our citizens in violent cities? Especially the ones who have no food, shelter, family, nothing to keep them away from violent people... Where can an American go for asylum? Where can we find refuge from our corrupt politicians? From the mentally illand violent? Its even worse thinking that these people will get treated better than those who have fought for this country. Risking life and limb to protect freedom. I think freedom in America was always an illusion. We were always being manipulated and controlled. Its just before it was less in our face. They don't care to hide what they are doing anymore. They have been successful in making people zombies and slaves. They think nothing can stop them now. They see the finish line and they are running harder at it. Lest everyone wakes up and holds them accountable.

I work 12 hr a day 5 days a week to pay $4000 plus utilities in so cal not including rest of the bills ! Sad reality is that the wage isn’t keeping up with inflation and most young American’s can’t afford to move out and live a comfortable life. I can’t imagine coming to this country with nothing trying to live the “American dream”

Our patriotism and laws mean that we are one of the most free nations and a large percentage of us would fight and do fight to keep our nation secure. Moreover, places like New York and San Francisco, (this can also include Toronto/Vancouver), have rigorous rent controls as well as zone restriction laws that limits the capacity for home builders to produce affordable housing, (especially when compared to Quebec). I live in Canada, but I even I must admit that economic success and freedom is much higher in the U.S. Name me another Western country with more african Billionaires/Millionaires than America? Canada is immensely reliant on Government to regulate trade and commerce and due to our lack of entrepreneurial spirit, I expect that we will remain a commodity-based economy for decades. I am Canadian, and in my early 50s, I remember in our youth, this was not the case, definitely technology has changed our culture irreversibly. It is a sad reality and can only imagine how shocking and sad it is to overseas cultures that immigrate or visit here. We do not even know our neighbour's first name. I wish it was talked about more, seeing Trudeau's beautiful tweets most people run up to Canada expecting that they will be welcome to open arms, the reality is that 70-80 will be deported.
