I'm doing ongoing research to cease any spend on any US product or service. I'm buying software from Europe, using Posteo for email, deGoogling this year and vastly reducing Youtube. I trace all groceries to eliminate anything US sourced and I now check that products are Mexican and Canadian as much as I'm able and they are supplying. I've stopped planning trips to LA and NYC, I might resume if American voters ever have the good sense to vote en masse against obviously fascist plans and personalities. I've holidayed in Mexico three times and would visit Canada and Europe in future. US is not safe for everyone any longer, not even its citizens and looks to be getting increasingly insecure and offering prosperity only to the already mega rich through crooked policies and agencies. Every week or two I double check the facts on groceries and online products/services to make sure I'm not accidentally buying American. The election was so compromised in November I'm glad people are realising the only action we can take is with our wallets from not logging in to 'big tech' to buying bread and apples etc.

Maybe building a Boarder Wall on America's Northern Boarder would be a good idea. Canada is responsible to guard our boarders and allow in only those who we feel qualify. Canada does not close it's boarders to those who wish to leave, nor does the United States close it's boarders to those who wish to leave. The United States is free to put up a wall and a boarder crossing anywhere you wish, stop whoever you want to stop from entering your country. I can tell you that The fastest Boarder Wall that I have ever seen go up is the one that Trump just raised between the United States and Canada, the Tariff Wall. What you have done is put signs on our shelves, buy Canadian. You have taken American Product from the top shelf, to the verry bottom shelf, behind the Made in China. You have closed the Travel Agencies to United States travel, nobody wants to go to your country, and I heard that there is going to be a 250% Tariff on hotel accommodations for Americans visiting Canada. It is not only about the Tariffs on Canada, who Used to be your friends, it is about your new friend Russia, who support Terrorist organizations all over the world, including the ones in Gaza who held Americans Hostage, who supports IRAN who supports Russia in murdering and raping women, kidnapping children in Ukraine, torturing and murdering citizens with their hands tied behind their backs. If this is what America supports, if this is what America does to its Ally's, I hope the taps for the oil and the switch for the electricity are turned off, and we never have to worry about each other ever again.\n\nCanada is a country with an Area roughly the size of the United States, with a population 340 Million is 8 1/2 times larger than Canada at $40 Million, with a GDP 9 1/2 times larger than Canada. I was a trump supporter from the uk and thought he would be a good thing because of all the corruption and not caring about its people that was going on from biden . just like whats happening in the uk not giving a dam about its people from labour But i think trump has done some idiot things backing Russia like there hes best mate doing this to Canada. The President of the United States is trying to destroy America economically in my opinion. Don’t take it personal Canada. He’s fired over 20,000 people from their jobs with absolute disregard in disrespect. He left to get rid of which employed 7000 people! Trump led the charge to get rid of TikTok and then he left Office and it happened but he’s the one who started it all 7000 people lost their job jobs. We are all living in strange times! The bad guy (Putin) is defended like he’s the good guy and the victim (Zelensky) is criticized like he’s the aggressor. This is so weird and negative like an episode of the Twighlight Zone! I think I can understand how Trump is viewing things. Bill O’Reilly seems to know how Trump thinks. Nevertheless, things are upside down! USA voting at the UN with North Korea and Putin and Belarus and against the EU and UK and NATO alliance nations … against the victim Ukraine? This is unheard of! Yet this is so ironic because Leonid Brezhnev, who was the USSR leader, when Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Afghanistan, and Vladimir Putin was a young KGB agent at that time, working for Brezhnev, is now in his position as leader, and he invaded Brezhnev’s sovereign homeland of Ukraine. Brezhnev must be weeping from hell and regretting his invasion of Afghanistan! Crying from hell, seeing his servant, Putin, in his seat of authority, and invading his homeland like he did to Afghanistan, I’m sure Brezhnev regrets but it’s too late now. If Trudeau had been strong and forceful on all our problems in the last 5 years, he would still be Prime Minister. i think he got caught up in his own self importance, instead of running our country for the good of it's people. I have wanted him out for the last 3 years, but todays speach to the US, Trump and the Canadian citizens showed a strength that i thought he didn't possess. he finally grew a set and it looked good on him. just saying it the way it is.

From Canada: Sorry but we did this to ourselves by not growing our economy as we could have done, by not expanding energy and trade, by being led by a non-leader who panders only to the east and disrespects the west, who spends money like it’s on fire. Trudeau could learn so much from Sen Robert Kennedy about spending money that isn’t his to spend… If eastern Canada would respect the wealth we have in the country, in the ground, we would not be in this position. Canada could be one of the wealthiest countries in the world and Canadians could have a very high standard of living. All the power is centralized in Quebec, with the Bloc not even a federal GD party but somehow allowed to be a federal party, and Ontario and Atlantic Canada just loving a false sense of moral and intellectual superiority, and don’t forget transfer payments. And we have got ourselves into this Liberal government purgatory (thank God the Federal NPD have been decimated over it…at least there is some justice), so that we write cheques to make us feel good and look good despite that we can’t afford it. And we prevent growth and trade to make ourselves feel good and look good even though we can’t afford it. And here we are now, broke a** with no prospects and no savings. Everyone on here is missing the fact that Canada is already charging 25% taiffs. Canada is not the good guy here. This all could end if Canada just drops their 25% tariff then we would be back to good business. Trump is exposing all the corruption around the world!

At what point does the International Olympic Committee and other international sports bodies step in and ban the USA from the upcoming Olympics? \nTrump has made his position clear that he feels Russia is not at fault for anything that has happened in Ukraine. The debacle that went on in the Oval office on February 28th was not only disgusting, but it proved to me that the president is not willing to be a peaceful friend to anyone on a personal or global level. Today's tariffs only cements that proof. The framework is in place to make a strong case to ban USA from the Olympics and current future international sports events. I realize this would impact many good people, but a country hell bent on hating those fighting so hard for their freedom has no place on any playing field right now.

As much as I disagree with most of Trudeau’s domestic politics I must say that this was a good address and seems to be where he is strongest. With that said though I still would not vote liberal in the next election.

It's too bad that Trudeau's Government did so little about fentanyl, also about our poorly-controlled border and destructive immigration non-policies for so long. Hence, driving Trump's scorched-earth policy (The Tariffs). That said, it blows me away that Trump was so vociferous about the Lawfare that was lined up against him in 2023-24, but he doesn't see that excess use of the power of the State is wrong and immoral in this Canadian and Mexican case. Trump only knows the right of might. Threats, coercion, bullying. He doesn't otherwise distinguish between right and wrong; only about what is good for him and his ego. The Tariffs will drive very bad business outcomes in the US. Including, inflation, and lost jobs. The Stock Markets are already tanking. At this particular stage, his ego will not allow him to back off, that's my prediction. Much pain for all Americans (and obviously for Canadians) will first have to ensue. Canada must receive its spanking, and Donald will have to save face. Ultimately, he'll invent some dishonest pretense to put the genie in the bottle, while the economic damage to all sides will be severe. But ... Why would he care?

Dear Mr. President Trump, would you please reconsider welcoming these wonderful fellow North Americans living in these TEN Canadian Provinces, not as the 51st State, but as TEN States, when being invited into the United States of America? These Canadian Provinces being Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.\n\nSuggested is to make Canada’s existing 10 Provinces into 10 individual United States States. Canada will benefit with a strong 10 State influence within 60 United States governance affairs. Benefits are 10 more States on a balanced display welcomed as 10 white stars within the beautiful United States of America field of Blue of our Flag. Other countries will see North America’s Great Power when 60 glorious States, when combined, and working well together, communicating best when communicating with each other only in English, when English is the United States official National Language. No more Government waste of having multi language signage. Another geologically considered North American country, Greenland, with 4 more territories may wish to add four more States, as well as the many existing United States Territories across the globe may desire Statehood. The Sun will never set on the United States. As for 10 Canadian States, think of the  benefit of 20 mostly conservative thinking U.S. Senators which equals a larger majority of conservative votes in the larger U.S. Senate when composed of 120 Senatorial political leaders. 120 U.S. Senators keep the Filibuster procedure balanced. 10 Canadian Provinces converted into 10 United States States equals many more conservative House of Representatives votes enhancing the conservative majority of political leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives. So many good reasons why Canada’s 10 Provinces, with a mostly conservative thinking population of thinkers, should be transformed into 10 new United States States, not just one United States. Yes....10 more States that is the helpful way forward for the United States to have a very dominant conservative thinking population of United States Congress Political Leaders, resulting in a long term more stable United States Congress representing 60 United States, thinking more conservative, thinking more logical, thinking more common sense thoughts, thinking more capitalist job creation thoughts, thinking more tax cut thoughts, are just some of the benefits of having 60 United States of America States on  display, and functioning efficiently going forward for all the World’s Countries to marvel at.

Anyone who ever was a victim of bullying understands exactly what is going on and how it will end for those who wants to appease/bend to the bully. Yes, it will be painful for Canada, extremely. But you have to get really sick in order to recover stronger than ever before. Zelensky knew the inner workings of how bullies work so he probably knew the white house meeting won't end cordially especially it is occupied by people he has no love for and he understood the lack of love was mutual. I think he'd bent over and wagged his tail if he thought that'd help his nation but knowing that will not get his country anywhere anyways, why would he bend over and try to please someone who was determined to screw him and his country to begin with. Zelensky saw how Canadian prime minister was treated and how he tried to please Mr. T yet to no avail. Yes, Zelensky has no real good, readily available cards to play. If the game is rigged, no reason to play by your rule, is there?

For anyone who is curious about how our politics make everything worse for us federally, let me explain it in a short time.\n\nTrudeau as of the day of this video, March 3, 2025, is STILL the PM. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. But.......... right now it is almost like a 51st state and I do not mean that in a joking way. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. For all its problems, Mexico has a Christian population (with some indigenous traits) that goes well with America. Their nations different economic status means we can support them and they can support us doing different things for countries of different development stages.\n\nCanada being so similar to the United States will want that as well and will never outbid the United States. I hate Trump and everything he stands for but transgenders serving openly are contrary to the principle of good order and discipline. No matter what people think transgenders are not respected by their subordinates and there has to be respect to be an effective leader. In this man's case he flies as a crew of 1 and possibly 2 so he doesn't require respect from his subordinates but a frontline combat officer leading a company would get zero respect and would probably get fragged. The standards have to be the same across all branches and all jobs and that's not possible. The military is mostly populated with southern and mid western men and they will never accept this so as a veteran I support this move to ban them. I would also like to see the standards restored in regards to fat heterosexuals too.
