High living costs problem is out there in every country, this is global. Miigrating will always be painful, I come from Mexico, going back to my country is possible but not an option in the long run. I believe private investment is keeping things at hand in terms of security, but the state of governement is broken, more and more massacres are common and people disappearing by drug caetels are happening even more and in zones previously deemed safe. That is why comparing in comparison thus country to me its worth it. (And not Usa because their gun laws and people supporting them to me are a no no, to have shootings at school that common, oh my god).

I came here on 28 August as international student in Vancouver from India and just after 4 days I left canada on 1 sep and came back to india. It's shocking to say within 4 days I returned back, canada is not worth it, people from all world are mixed there it causes problem of fights and #other matters, survival is difficult and cold conditions, that's why population is less there, it is aim of govt that's why attracting migration towards canada but not worth it, we're going there by leaving various things in home country such as home, car, family, nation, property this is foolishness by leaving all utilities of life and to start again from zero in Canada it is big foolishness aslo by leaving nationality, doing struggle of just settling, In my view , we have limited time in life, we're having things and doing hardwork to do those things agin in other nations, its better to do in own country. It doesn't matter opportunites are there in Canada etc, every nation has opportunity, you're from Singapore it's best country do there not leave nation, everyone not have to migrate all have to do in their home countries. In comparison of my country india, canada gone too back from India serioulsly, food is not fresh there freezed fruits same fruits and veges in stores for months, if you like this then reply back I can share my personal and known friends ground REALITY experiences with you..

My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

My neighborhood had a big influx of immigrants moving in and I can see the difference they brought, they never cut grass, leave garbage out on lawn, they use the creeks as their own waste dump they give off looks at you like you're a problem in your own country, they stare in a very creepy manor at women, I had one stand at the end of my driveway and film my house, like just weird shit all the time. Not to mention there always seems to be like 12 of them living in a basment apartment, half probably cant speak english or even have a legit reason to be in Canada, then you see them bagging for money and its like why are they even here if you cant afford to live here? \nImmigration at this point is an insult to Canadians and to the ones who legally immigrated and wanted to be apart of canadian culture.

Bro why not compare countries like Canada and Germany. The USA is a different country on its own. US salary exceeds that of Canada and Europe. For me, I don´t see the difference between Canada and Germany if not the language barrier. Salaries in Canada and Germany are equally the same if you also have good qualifications in Germany. German social system supercedes that of Canada. In Germany, after school, if you work for 2 years as a foreign student automatically you qualify for a permanent stay, I got my permanent stay after school when I worked for 2 years. The problem with Germany is the integration and language barrier other than that you can live a very good quality life. Every child in Germany school is free till University and children are paid 250 euros a month. For me Germany and Canada same I don´t see any difference but for the USA is salaries are better than in these two countries.

... And here is why:\n1. Insanely expensive housing with next to none disposable income left in the pocket. \n2. Inability to get into the real estate market unless $$$ was brought in as an investment. This will leave locals and people who were born in Canada left out for good even further. \n3. Extremely competitive job market. Newcomers will have to suffer for a long time to break-in. \n4. Depression and drug addiction is everywhere. It's more deadly than covid but the government can't address the problem because they lose control for good. \n5. Canada is far away from many other places, which makes things worse as you feel trapped in a workcamp with no place to escape. \n6. The cost of living is getting much faster with the salaries significantly behind year after year. \n7. Canada became the country of failed government, failed multiculturalism, too tolerant as a result. \n8. Retirement in Canada will be impossible for 95% unless you agree to live in the middle of the nowhere until depression kills you. \n9. Many who came to Canada 25+ years ago and still around felt trapped. Canada's source of immigration will likely be the poorest communities who will agree to put up with everything listed above just to get out of where they live right now. \n10. Sad, but true. I have seen a steady decline in Canada since 1998. Things get worse every year.\nAmen to that. I'll be visiting Lviv in 2025 for the first time since 2000 to check on my apartment in the city centre, not far from my Alma Mater LPI. I THANK GOD every day I didn't sell it and so I have a place for retirement!

Love it here in Toronto, Im lucky though i dont pay crazy high rent even though im itching to move for some odd reason. Maybe because I know I cant be here forever, I live in an old building that wont last, isnt mine and will be forced to move out when soemoen else buys it, like I was at my previouse apartment, which is my only problem, all he condo development, basically kicking out poorer people, thats why rent is high, but they're going to have to live with no sun in the city when all those towers block it. That being said the areas is just so bueatiful, it feels like its nestled in a forest, then the lake, its a great spot. Got 4 the seasons, i hear ist the most diverse city in the world racially and its climate is just as diverse going from -30 some winters to well above +30 some summers and everything in between. That being said I am getting tired of the city life and looking for a change although i think Toronto has a lot more potential and is actually underrated right now and will just get better. Maybe not more cheaper, but hopefully politicians will wise up and stop selling out for short term profits for long term problems.

Canada currently has an influx of newcomers that need homes first.\n\nI have a teenage boy and he has a lot of new Ukrainian refugees. Why are they not in shelters? I understand they need help, and Canada should gladly welcome them.\nBut they’re putting these families in literal condos. Nice condos. Government paid for one year. It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous.\n\nI know this is long, but if someone reads this that works in the government, I have a suggestion\n\nKeep taking refugees. Canada has a lot of land. We have the space to help these people.\n\nBut don’t put them in fucking cities! Go to Yukon Northwest Territories fuck go to the Maritimes. I live in Canada as a Kenyan and I have been here for sometime .I work as a HR/Payroll Specialist also certified in the field. The problem is not Canada , Canada is a very good county which I love and I am gland God gave me the Opportunity to Come and settle here with my family.. The problem with some people coming here is lacking of knowledge how Canada works .It’s system is very far from how things work in Dubai or Gulf countries. A lot people are thinking than you can just come and get any job even without proper papers or you can earn a lot of money and then build wealth quickly. Which is A BIG FAT LIE. The tax in Canada keeps you humble. That is how Canada funds it's high end life many admire and want to be part of. The more you work in Canada the more tax you pay and many don't know this, and it is one of the main reasons why a lot of people start to regrets, because they realize there effort of working hard is not paying as they hoped. Another thing in Canada is next to impossible to get jobs or rent a place without proper paper work, like work permit, It is not like USA where you can use someone else papers to work. the The main available jobs , easy to get , don’t pay much. And also the cost of living is very high in some provinces like Ontario and BC. They hardly recognize credentials from outside unless you came through a job offer. Also because a lot of things in Canada are paid by the government through taxes, like health care, education. Unless you are tax paper with (and I repeat) Paper work, you cant access the benefit, including thee free food available for the needy. \nMany people forget Canada is looking for people to work for them. Not to grow rich and leave. The system is meant to keep you working. Unless you understand how a system of a country works, one will continue to blame it. Let people get well informed and well educated first , before they jump in the river. And it’s not Canada a lone , but any country in the world. Also a lot of these media post about Canada are misleading. And there is also another trap called debt, a lot of people once they getting working, rush to but things they cant afford and it becomes a stress instead of a blessings.\nIf you want to live well and enjoy Canada . One of the top thing to do is, go back to school once you enter in it, get a good education and you will get a good job. Also give yourself time to adjust. REMEMBER you are starting from square one. You are not continuing where you left in Kenya or in the country you get from. Also, the general social climate is not as friendly as those in USA for example. Not many people are willing to help for free. The most jobs advertised in Canada are the lower end paying jobs, which a lot of people pay a lot of money to come for, just to realize the job they left behind was far much better than this, but no one told them that, just because it said $18 hrs and you converted it to your country and looked a lot, doesnt mean it carries the same wait once you earn in from here. The living expense are very different. The reality is, it is not where you are , but whom you are and determination knows no barrier. Anyone who will trust God for help, work hard/smart and be patience in life, they will make. It might take longer than they expect, but they will get their eventually.

Stop giving them free aid: medical ETB school anything they do not deserve, the people born in the USA cannot get anything as fast and undocumented as these people get, the government needs to do better. Great video! US immigration system is soul crushing and very expensive. As a Korean Canadian (Scientist with a PhD) who immigrated to US in 2012, I was lucky to get my green card in 2020. Since then I sponsored my wife and my daughter but their immigration cases have been in limbo due to the pandemic and we are still waiting for their green cards. You made a great point about why many people wants to immigrate to US from Canada because of pay. It is true that same job in the US pays so much better but you forget to mention a few points that the higher pay in the US is not that much advantageous if you calculate the cost of other life expenses. Sure house is very expansive in Canada but it is expensive in the US too. I live in MA and the average price is so much expensive. Additionionally, important things in life are very expensive in the US compared to Canada such as Child care, children's education, health cares etc... Example: My friends from Quebec only pay 7$/day for daycare (~140$/month). My friends in Massassuchetts pays on average (2800$/month). My friends kids will pay around 2000$/year for university tuition if they go to an university in Quebec. My kid will have to pay around 10000$/year if she decides to go to in state university if not it could be more than 40000$/year. I know that health care system in Canada is not perfect but it is much cheaper. In US, it is so expansive. My daughter birth only costs us in Canada 100$. My friend kid birth in MA with a great health insurance cost more than 5000$. Without health insurance, it could go even higher. Now if you lose your job, you lose your health insurance so good luck if you become sick. Additionally, depending where you go in the US, they have a gun problem. Luckily for me, I live in MA where gun control is very strong. Anyway, this is just to tell you that higher pay isn't always better.

I believe even now the Kuwait govt. is not issuing new visas to Pakistanis.\nHe also told me that whenever they want to go to Karachi(as his father works in a govt. Hospital in Kuwait) and once they reach Karachi,their House will be like bhoot bungalow. Nothing is left in that house,even doors,windows and Electricity meter is also stolen and they have to arrange everything new.\nIn my Two and half years stay in Kuwait ,my collegue and his family did not visit Pakistan even once.\nMy question is what Pakistan as an Islamic Country achieved by seperating from India on the basis of a Country for Muslims?.\nOne should aprreciate the couple for boldly accepting lawlessness in Pakistan.

Each countries have their pros and cons. Yes guns and religions are a big turn off but in Canada we're not as free as in USA. \nHere, in Canada, i can't defend myself or my home, i have to way for the police to show up (and it take enough time for the cops to find a corps) if i do and do arm or kill the offenderl, i end up in jail which leaves Canadians with 2 choices. Either get killed or get in Jail. \nIn the last years i saw Canada going to a close to be socialists system and slowly going into a communist system which scare the shit out of me. I won't allow the governement to tell me where to work, where to live, when to bath or what to think. \nThen there's theses biggots who wonder why their church is not open 24/7 and believe earth is flat who claim everything that's not related to them is evil. I've been a caregiver for over 40 years and I just love it, but recently, I've been seeing a few people, including the HR Department and the people who hired me, try to surprise me bye popping up and the client was very upset because they didn't want to listen to her and a employee that was working with me,I wasn't aware of the problem situation that was going on, so basically I was set up with them saying that I wasn't taking care of the client honestly the client told them I've been helping them the most the employee said that I wasn't changing the client,,and I noticed that the trash Bin was being opened and I bought it attention to the client and she said be careful with the company and the co-worker that is working with us is lying on. Me and I brought it up to my supervisor and then she said that someone had said that I wasn't changing her underwear and she the client said that she would let the boss know but she came back from told me that I wasn't able to continue to work for them and I asked them why they said someone was coming from Africa to join their company and I Said that I'm not going to signing anything that is a lie ...

As a Canadian I'd just like to say, she's so wrong. Africans love Canada, and we love them. Now, African Americans, thats a tricky one. Its not about the colour of ur skin, its about attitudes. 90% of the time when dealing with African Americans, u can tell their waiting and looking for racism, get upset when they dont find it. Yes and if these people truly believed in God and Jesus they wouldn't run from their countries but actually stay on the ground and stand strong in their faith that God and Jesus are going to help them persevere through all this. As a fully disabled American citizen with a child that doesn't even get $1,000 a month and there's no available housing at all where I live no waiting list to go on people on SSI disability don't get any extra housing help we're not offered separate housing are put on separate lists and low-income Able Body people or the migrants jumping the Border but I was born and raised here paid taxes and worked until my body literally couldn't anymore but I don't hear anybody bitching and screaming and crying about the fact that my son and I would be on the streets if it hadn't been for one of my family members stepping up and giving his housing after a lifetime restraining order issued during my pregnancy on my son's biological do do with domestic abuse situation. I'm also US citizen that spent time in the Wards in Houston and projects and other cities and if you don't think that we don't have the same gun violence drug trafficking human trafficking gangs take it over cartels taking over neighborhoods and communities than you're freaking lying to yourself and everybody else. The same s*** that's taken over these countries is taking over the inner cities have been for decades and these are the same communities that most of these people will end up in. No it's not about not being good Christians part of being a good Christian is reminding people to stand their ground and have faith in Jesus and God and their own home territory and not to give it up to the crime people in the bad politicians. You can't say you believe in God and Jesus Christ and then he's got your back while you're running and that's the truth in the reality that nobody wants to hear the more people run from these countries the more the bad people are able to take over and then we get complaints here in the states about the cost attacks is rightfully so. I mean did you all forget the night they came to take them away they were asleep in an Open Garden it wasn't like they popped up tents or glamper camper sites had some little Adobe type cabins they were sleeping in. As a matter of fact if you pay attention to most of the stories about Jesus and talking about him sleeping he does a lot of sleeping Outdoors. Remember God is a father that's how he's been represented and talked about in the Bible and Jesus was a man without a doubt no biological transgender question ability there. People need to remember that part of being a fair and loving. Is also teaching and discipline and these children following rules. I don't believe hearing God and Jesus telling all these people run from your countries and not have faith that I'm actually going to fix things for you and go run to somebody else actually go run to the United States where all those stuff is traveling through. So for all of you that want to post your personal assumptions about homeless people because that's all it is unless you've actually been homeless or spent time around homeless you really have no clue what's going on in the homeless population except what you've been told by the same political talking head media bulshit that's been lying to everybody about a bunch of other stuff too. Don't you get it the politicians don't want people knowing that a lot of the people that are homeless on the street are people that are disabled and aren't disabled because they have mental health problems I know that's the narrative they've been trying to stuff down people's throats.

Why not make India a better country by changing how your country is now. You young people are the catalyst for change. Coming here to my country doesn't change the deep rooted problem of how India operates. Your being here displaces those of us that were born here to compete for affordable housing and job's. When I tell Africans not to go to Canada they never listen. Canada is a really cool country. There's no doubt about that but in winter the weather gets really cold, dull, grey and depressing. Instead of moving always to The UK, US or Canada, why not try the Caribbean and some central American countries. These countries are very colorful, lively and bright with climate similar to ours. There are lots of folks over there that look like us as well except that you may have to learn a little Spanish which shouldn't be a problem at all. \nI'm a Nigerian too.\nI also dreamt of moving to Canada 15 years ago. I was so crazy in love with the country at first but because I was aware of how depressing winters can be I had to switch my dream destination to the Caribbean. I choose Panama because of the large Afro Panamanian community over there. Secondly because Panama looks like a more developed version of My country, Nigeria with beautiful beaches and a nice tropical weather. It's one of those few Caribbean nations with a free world class universal healthcare system like most countries in Europe.

The houses have shitty materials compared to my original country, and you simply can’t built by your own and that’s why every price rises.\nAnother issue you didn’t mention it’s there is no scholarships, it’s incredible expensive to get a proper education like university, and even so, they no offered scholarships. In Mexico almost everyone can reach the opportunity to study to be anything (lawyers, doctors) AND there is why you can get professional services everywhere. Here in Canada the business never have profesional services (like a real Human Resources, who studies for 5 years to be the best influence in a company, or a real engineering taking care of the machines in a plant. Canada only hire the cheap hand to avoid paying and I can understand it, but if more people could study more money moves in the country.\nAnother issue is there is not any public transportation into the cities or provinces, so if you don’t have a car, a driver license (it’s not easy to get one) and pay the super expensive insurance (it’s incredible 10 times more expensive than in Mexico) your can’t move from the place you are. Because of the weather you simply can’t move in a bike.\nPeople live just for pay rent, buy some groceries and buy some pre owned cloths in the thrift store.\nAnother problem it’s many rules to open a small bussines (like selling some food) \nHealth care it’s not exactly free: you need to pay for your prescriptions out of the hospital or if you never been hospitalized. And it’s very expensive to pay for them. I hope you don't underestimate Europe's existing problems when i went to London 4 years ago i was shocked that it wasnt the place i imagined it to be no need to explain im sure you understand what i mean. Im an Asian immigrant, but i wasnt expecting that i couldnt even see a caucasian in London mostly arabs, blacks, indians, some asians i do not hate it but im just confused i worked in the middle east for 10 yrs and i was hearing arabic speaking everywhere, also asian language its like im in Vancouver or Surrey area. I thjnk its not an isolated problem probably your new to that place thats why you do not see the problems yet but i hope you made the right decision. All the best. The tax is really quite high but the Canadain government though with some flaws is still better than most countries believe me i have lived in Asia, middle east and been to places and met all kinds of people. One thing that seperates Canadian from most other nationalities despite the different ethnicities and races Canadians are generally nice and less violent and id rather have my kids grow up here than any part of the world. Well, I doesn't take a genius to figure out, that, countries who have it well off due to many reasons, will continue to have immigrants pooring in, it won't stop, why? Well because the world turned its back on alot of countries who are suffering due to massive corruption, socialism, communism and nobody is helping these countries. So naturally those people will flood to other countries. Nobody helps these people retake their homeland.\n\nEven my country, was captured by communist radicals, in 30 years we went from 1st world to 3rd world ghetto. The government is among the most corrupt in the world and are all rubbing shoulders with other dictators of other nations who In turn make their peoples lives hell. Naturally people in my country left in droves too, and continue to do so, because the media is not showing the world what's going on here, nor does anybody really care. What country you may wonder? A hint, Musk comes from there, he left behcause there was no hope for oppertunity, even if it's not his reason, it's just the only reason anybody actually leaves.\n\nWe too wanna retake our home from these bigoted radicals, but they hold all the cards. And nobody from the UN will even help us or any other country for that matter because they have their own problems. Problems they wouldn't have really had if they actually helped out in the world. So basically everyone is shooting themselves in the foot because their doing nothing, and their actions to fix it are actually the cause of the problem.

My problem with women covering their faces is that that men are not allowed by law to cover their faces, so why would a certain group of women have this right. Women SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN A HIGHER STATUS because we should be EQUAL to men. People easily use freedom of choice as an argument to defend every single thing they do. I WISH, I WISH, I WISH they would advocate for freedom of choice in their country of origin. I wish they would fight for human rights the way they do when they come to the Western World. And saying that covering your face doesn't define you is complete bulls*** because when we ask you to take it off suddenly it becomes who you are as a person. As a Canadian Christian woman of Lebanese origin (second-generation immigrant), I love everyone... jews, muslims, hindus, ... you name it. But what I don't like is HYPOCRITES.

I live in Jamaica, this is a black country. I get followed in our supermarkets, for this reason I dont go to supermarkets anymore, I allow my wife to go.\n\n\nI dont go anymore because I get offended. Why? because we have a problem of stealing and following me is accusing me of being a thief.\n\n\nI noticed that if I stop at a supermarket on my way home from work I dont get followed, my suit and tie changes my profile.\n\n\nThe problem is that the high incidence of theft is carried out by men and women who look and dress a certain way. Here's the thing, not only casually dressed or thug-looking people steal, it turns out that thieves come in a wide cross section. One supermarket displays empty Blue Mountain coffee bottles on their shelves because ladies steal them by placing them in their handbags on their way home from work.\n\n\nThe problem is that we need to change our reputation. If any group or caste of people have the highest rates of bad behavior, it will affect everyone fitting such description.

There is still a lot of work to do, because there are too many black men and women who suffer from low self esteem and they believe the only way to cure such low self esteem is by inter marrying. What they fall to realize is that their kids will be black and they will undergo the same problems so why not stick to your race and fight the problem instead of running which doesn’t help. Anyway, peace to all my brothers and sisters out there. Let us continue to build by remaining positive. God made us who we are. No other race is better than us. Let us not even entertain such idea. This is the psychology that the enemy have used in the past to destroy the minds of our ancestors, but yet our ancestors were strong enough to produce generations. Today we don’t have the struggles of our ancestors, that means we should do even better.

why can't muslim people hold back when other people comments on islam or their prophet whether it is bad or good, if you all have any common sense as a person you should know god will judge these people at the end... if i was a muslim living in a western society with freedom of speech i wouldn't give a damn about name calling cause that is not my problem and let god judge him or her when they stand in front of god.

When Farjana Hasan touts freedom for women, she unknowingly discriminates against those who chose to wear hijab willingly. Real freedom of women is to let them decide for themselves whatever they want to wear or not, period. If someone doesn't wear hijab so be it. And if someone wants to wear, so be it. Why must she impose her version of Islam on others? \nThat is the whole problem. Why can't we just accept & respect other's choices even if it differs from my choice???
