I could give 2 fucks about their situation & trauma's. Guess what the world is brutal, ruthless, unforgiving, & dangerous. USA is no better. We have our problems as well & it's not easy. If their so proud of their heritage, nationality, culture, & ethnicity. They should go & stay in their own country & fight for the rights. Don't flee as soon as something gets hard & difficult. Blaming others for their problems. Instead of trying to impede & illegally force your way into another country as if your entitled to it or as if the world owes you something. Nobody owes or has to give you shit. \nThis is unfair to the many legal immigrants & US citizens. Who had to wait years & decades just to get approved with sponsorships. Having to fight their way to get accepted. An these illegals come in like it's fun & games. Pulling the waterworks as if we have to succumb to their will. Were struggling to help ourselves & they want us to help them. This is utterly ridiculous.

you cannot come here right now, we have people here who are struggling too. I’m sorry that your country isn’t safe or has a lot of problems, but people in the US can’t afford groceries either and the gov doesn’t help the homeless, disabled or elderly enough as it is. No one should be entering the country until every single homeless citizen has been given whatever appropriate help they need and a place to live. Until our own poor citizens have been given sufficient amounts for food. Some elderly US people get $23 in SNAP monthly and are expected to eat and survive on that, while illegals are handed cards with $800 on them to eat with. How is that ever ok? \nSome of us are existing on like $600 per month, we have veterans living on the streets. These things must change before we can help anyone else. I am not unsympathetic to your cause, but I see too many struggling citizens right now that I have to care about first.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. Im fairly certain its a good demonstration of what a different culture would experience in their own country. This is especially noticeable in markem with the Chinese population. \n\nLet me say this loud and clear. We didnt let you come here so you could start your own countries inside of our country. That the family whos heritage is of this land, built this house that your living in. With our low corruption goverments , our clean drinking water, our free health care and education system, with our opportunities that make it possible through merit and hard work that it doesnt matter what family or where you were born. These are attractive features of canada that play a role in why people want to come here. And leave where they were. Its it logical to think that you have more to learn about us then we do of you? Not being on some selfish punk shit is canadas greatest strength. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I know this isnt realitic but it would save them from what a lot of them are gunna end up be exposed to which is experiences with native born Canadians who are going to very rudly show you what happens when you disrespectf someone in their own home. \n\nThe party is over. You people need to start being Canadian and care about Canadians like you care about your own culture or get the fuck out!

Colombia has taken so many evil people and poor destitute people from Venezuela as refugees and it can’t absorb them but Colombians normally come legally to the USA and make great Americans my family in law for example are good conservative people who support Trump and I’d like to have my family in the USA all in one place especially is colombia will turn into Venezuela under a corrupt regime who has ruined everything and hurt most of the citizens idk how he won if he did even win but the USA came into Colombia before to stabilize it and it worked for a long time and there are 30,000 U.S. expats here or people with family ties or like me who happened to marry into a Colombian family. Not long ago I saw Trump with former President Duque and their wives and there was a beautiful relationship and colombia was booming in one year the USA must put back the former establishment and restabilize the mess that has been made under this communist guerrilla member and I hope saying this doesn’t bring lash back to me or my family here in Colombia. But my husband and me want to come home to the USA as soon as possible he isn’t a criminal his father is a Pastor at a small countryside church they don’t deserve this.

You don t come to USA if you don t know where to leave period .It has been like that for years.Normally from the airport you have to fill the adress of who will host you or the person who sponsored you.\nAnd by immigration standard you should not come here to be a charge and take advantage of the welfare system .From the USA ambassy where you postule for a USA visa everything is designed to avoid those kinds of situations .If you dont have a place to stay then ICE has to send you back to where you came .USA has been almost like that for years???.\nIf you cross the border illigaly you have to be detain and expulse automatically.\nSeeking asylum don t mean it as to be in USA only .There are so many countries crossed by those migrants that could and should take them as asylum seekers unless those countries did not sign the asylum seekers international treaty.

No skills, don't know the language, only want the things free that we Americans have had to work for, and now we're supposed to work to give these things to them? Actually it is soo true. I have considered german for my education because it is less expensive than USA but I don’t see my full life in Germany because of language barriers and not promoting other nationals in higher positions. Go to USA you will find half of the top CEO or engineers Indians but come back to Germany and you won’t find many, this is because Germans don’t usually promote other nationals in managing positions higher than them. This is not welcoming so folks it is better if you come for your education, gain some work experience, explore europe as much as you can then move to USA and build your own home and raise kids, again push them to come to germany for free education of bachelors and masters ?

Canada is very welcoming country, but if you guys bring all of your bad attitude, you are not welcome here. By the way I am immigrant Canadian. I have seen many Indians in Canadian recently and many of them are very disappointing. I also met some very good Indian too. Only Indians can change Indians. It is not only human behavior. Why is other country people are not hated? Why are too many Indians appear within short amount of years? Why is corruption and crimes come from Indians more than any other immigrants? Are you dare to find out those answer? Why is Indian government try to mess with our democratic election? Canada welcome good people who want to be successful as individual, not as to become dominant culture over us and threatening our way of life.

I came to Canada in 1989 with my twin sister. I haven't left Canada ever since I came in. My twin sister left Canada for good in 2023. I did not come to Canada because I needed more money. I came to Canada because I did not have a country. Canada became my home country but the crazy thing is I don't recognize the Canada I knew over the years. Many people came to Canada to take advantage of this wonderful nation. My beloved city of Toronto turned into a third world country. I'm now in Alberta where I work hard and pay my taxes. My Canada is a paradise on earth. My Canada deserves people who loves it. I had my hardship in my early years and that was what I had to go through. When new immigrants try to cut corners, I always remind them to earn their muthafuka turn. The liberal party screwed up Canada. Chances are one day I will end up leaving Canada for good but before that I'm keeping my Canada great.

I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. The government has its grip on every aspect of Canadian life, it has hindered the responsiveness of the economy so much, that it cant even pivot to take advantage of free capital (int’l students) and third world labor rates (temp foreign workers).

Thanks ladies. I have a person from Serbia who I hired many years ago. He is a professional and one of the best people I have ever employed. He h& his wife understood what it took to come to Canada. There was no easy path for them but they perserveered. They both have succeeded & are a great part of Canada now.

stop bringing so many indians and middle east people here, they come here with a lot of problems, they're fighting on our streets, taking peoples jobs, replacing the culture ... here in Ontario I barely see Halloween or Christmas -- because so many indians have moved into my neighborhood. 23 years ago, these streets were all about Christmas ...lights and all. Now .. nothing .. instead of Christmas music all I hear them blasting their ridiculous primitive out of tune noise ... AKA middle east music and indian music ... feel like I am somewhere in the middle east not in Canada.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

Someone should let them know that so called better life is not waiting for them in Canada at least. We have plenty of our own political tensions, we're taxed to death, probably have the worst health care system in the world, extremely high cost of living, everything is expensive, the only jobs available are part time, crappy overpriced food, a housing crisis and brutal winters every single year.. Nothing but pissed off, miserable people here. Many Canadians I know have moved to India and love it. Come if you like but I bet you'll wish you hadn't, especially when Trudeau won't let you go back, not with your money anyway.

As a Canadian born Indian since 1995 this country has obviously let in too many immigrants since 2020 and Trudunce got into power, I dislike them just as much as the rest of us we are born here speak better English and have more cultural connection to Canadian values then any immigrant no matter the country they come from. and we are having our image distorted by their ignorant behavior when we have nothing in common with these immigrants either.

Their culture values education so many of them already come to Canada with a high level of education and they are getting degrees in order to work in Canada. They believe in working & don’t expect the government to provide them with housing and all their needs like the white people sitting around in tents. Another difference is that family and kinship is valued so Indians work together to build themselves up. They may have to live in crowded housing but they r working to save to be able to buy their own homes. The problem with White people is they don’t have family unity, they view having children and inconvenience. They don’t realize that those children will become their safety net as they get older. Family helps each other out, those Indians would do anything to keep a family member from living in the streets. This would put their family in shame in their community. Canadians have something to learn from the Indians. By the way their religion disapproves of alcohol & drugs so they don’t have that problem. Seriously, this is an absolutely disgraceful and pathetic attack by the liberals. Here is the cold hard fact. The government controls immigration. The government controls who and how many. The liberals have been granting student visas for years, literally unchecked in both numbers and who they were given to. The schools merely took in however many the liberals let in. Hundreds of thousands of them. Had trudeau set a reasonable cap to begin with, then the schools would only be accepting that capped number. The more trudeau let in, the more the schools took on. This wasnt the fault of the schools. This is an absolute direct result of the liberal government completely screwing up the immigration system. \n\nNot only did trudeau let in far too many students which blew up school enrolment, but it messed up the entire employment system, healthcare system and housing market. Not to mention that it drained the foodbanks and students were using them as their grocery store. Now we have hundreds of thousands of international students demanding trudeau support them, give them housing, jobs and citizenship. To say trudeau completely wrecked immigration doesnt even come close to what has resulted. The entire country is now reeling from this, and it will take decades to resolve the consequences. \n\nTrudeau is despicable. Ohhh if it was her own child I’m sure she wouldn’t be saying that’s ok.., there are many like her out there. They get those papers and they think they work for the White House. If she would’ve visited Mexico and had a kid while visiting and didn’t have the money for a green card it would have been a completely different situation. For those just because you got your papers do you not think that there are people that came here as infants or kids to immigrant parents that came to work to provide for their kids it’s not that easy to get your green card it cost thousands of dollars. Many immigrants that I know and worked with including myself, I came here as a refugee. Immigrants are the hardest working people I know. Unfortunately a lot of the ones that came here as kids grew up in some neighborhoods that are not so great and mainly are kids that were born here that are in gangs or doing drugs or violent so don’t blame immigrants saying they bring all this with them it was already here … drugs gangs violence was already here. Gangs started in the White House with their red and blues. Then they say they are taking all the jobs.. the jobs have always been here but people that are citizens are too lazy to go get jobs or keep jobs ( not all citizens) but the ones that are complaining immigrants usually come from villages without any media or drugs or gangs ect. They simply come here for better opportunities or for jobs. They come to work not to freakin take your jobs… this country everyone is a damn immigrant this country was taken from the natives taken with violence by killing them , rapi!’ Them. I have no issue with an immigrant keeping their traditions. However, some immigrants seem to feel that once here that Canada owes them every single thing that they want. Immigrants forget that they chose to come here. Instead it feels like now instead of becoming part of our society, many come here and want to change our way of life to suit them. It's not right.

The fact that we have so many people in the US undocumented and living here for decades tells us that our legal process is not sufficient for allowing people to come legally. Having that many people tells us we need to treat this as a policy problem, not an individual-making-bad-choices problem. And spending billions of dollars on border patrol tactics that still allow for so many illegap immigrants tell us that our resources are grossly misspent. Plus we treat legal asylum seekers as if they were illegal (depriving people of food, keeping them from crossing in the first place) so people will choose whatever method will get them here. People can be here legally for well over a decade before getting a green card and then even longer to get citizenship.

Are we talking about a mass deportation of people who came into this country illegally? The funding and the resources are the problems. Trump is not going to be able to deport as many as he proposes. If some of them have been here and started an American-born family, then they should get special consideration, but if it's decided they get deported it's really not the fault of the government, it solely rests on the shoulders of those who come in our country and break our laws. If the idea is to become an American Citizen breaking the law is not the first thing to do to swear allegiance. It's confusing. My hope is that we get this issue behind us with fairness and compassion, without sending the message that you can just come here without due process.

I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. And Kamala was the one who enforced the CARB emmisions standards that diesel engine manufactures have to comply with to sell into California which is the biggest consumer of these engines. \n\nLike right now I have my pickup truck that's been down for 6 months because of emissions problems and so many of the vehicles have emissions problems that the parts to fix it don't even have an ETA because they need to fix so many trucks and I have two other tractors broke down that I can't use all my friends that are farmers have a lot more and dems want to significantly increase emmisions standards in 2026. \n\nYou simply can't grow food at scale without reliable diesel engines There is no alternative The vast majority of food is planted and harvested mechanically in the US The bigger issue with food is not well illegals get deported It is will the diesel engines run to harvest 90% of the calories in plant them. \n\nWe have robots that can milk the cows most of the things that migrants harvest can be harvested mechanically and they are in other parts of the world It's just cheaper to do it with labor once that's not the case it will be mechanized. I would prefer to keep migrants here but give them legal working status if they have productive jobs and they pay tax.

Oh I love this. Go Trump Go! Maybe once you're done, you can come to Canada and clean out our swamps of fake 'asylum seekers' too. We all know that Selfie Boy only keeps them coming in for votes anyway. Once many of them come to Canada, they are no longer asylum seekers, but moochers/leeches/parasites. If they are coming in by Rodham Road, Quebec from the USA, how did they get in the USA in the first place. They had to have documentations, but amazingly, they have none coming into Canada? An asylum seeker comes into a safe country, and that's it, not entering a 2nd country, from the USA, which is in itself a safe country. Also, amazing, how many disposable cell phones were in the ditch before entering Canada by an unauthorized entry point. This is slapping the true immigrants and true asylum seekers coming in the correct way into Canada. But unfortunately, Selfie Boy doesn't see it that way.

What about the immigrants that have been working and contributing and trying to get citizenship for decades and the spouses of American citizens still fighting for their right after paying taxes for many years - are we raiding all families homes and splitting up kids from parents? Did we ever find the families for the 800+ kids that had no details taken still unable to contact families that trump split them from the first time? Or does that not matter cause it’s not YOUR kids? Huh. When they come and create the detention camps and ship people back to places they haven’t been in decades who cares right they have been paying American taxes and have no rights while their years of waiting for their citizenship - fix that maybe so those who are working, contributing can stay and work in the jobs they have and keep families together. Once your visa expires, then you have to leave. And the company that brokered you to get you here requires a fee, plus they get a fee from the government as well. And the company that hires you gets a subsidy from the government. The company won’t tell you that there are limited jobs or housing. They won’t tell you that you can’t use your degree if you have one, when you come here. You have to go threw all the associations and organizations to be qualified to practice your trade.And that costs more money! Back in the 70’s and 80’s people came from many other countries, and within a week or so, you’d have money in your pocket from working a basic job. Now once you get off the plane, you are at least over $40.000 in debt. Your education cost double, housing is limited and expensive along with the hi cost of food and fuel for that expensive used car. And if you have any children during your 5 years, the government tells you that you have to register them, so the government can create another bond, so they can borrow more money from the bank! Because if you decide to leave after getting your landed status, the government may not allow you to take your children with you! Look up family court and custody law, once you get here, the government manages you on behalf of those who own you! Have been saying it for years to many international students from India lived in qc there were so many international students coming from Punjab to qc. They will go just about anywhere in Canada if it means it will get them a PR wow left qc and moved to Ottawa so far have not seen so many international students . Even as a Born Canadian my parent came from India back in the 80s\nDon’t want to live with Indians . That came from India in 2024 they are rude to girls on the bus have no shame . Ben living in Canada for 40+ years only know there has been a. Influx of migrants from India. Before the people come they at least new basic English and got usto the way of living the new once they don’t even know basic English and don’t have any common sense how they pass is beyond me . Blame TRUDEAU for opening the flood gates. Indians that have been living in Canada for years were finally getting respected and it all went down hill .

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

Oh that’s not true at all, they do want to leave the land as refugees, many of them have tried. The rest of the Arab world just doesn’t want them. They turn them away. I don’t know why the west doesn’t have the ability to do the same to anyone who tries to come here. I do wish he was more truthful in how he framed this though, he deflected from himself. I lived in Canada for half of my life and now live in the US. I have travelled around the world and the same issues Canada has are worldwide. Taxes, increase in prices (groceries, gas etc), homelessness are world wide issues. \nSocialized medicine what was once thought to be the greatest is disappointing at best. Long wait times,lack of doctors in rural communities and poor pay for many doctors are having them head state side. \n\nI hope you find your next country and it works out. I was born here 55 years ago, I am mixed race and have been asked if I was Indian. I think that my time growing up in Canada is that Indians have had the most racism towards them. However, There are too many coming here right now. 99% of the Indians I have met with are nice and great people. With that , the shear amount of Indians that are not desirable are here. Cannot drive, rude, no understanding of customer service and take over public spaces and are litter bugs. You guys have to help transition into the western american canadian tradition. I have seen influxes of other countries come over here in my 55 years but I have never seen one group come over with these huge numbers. It is a massive displacement

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. I blame it mainly on the international student boom in the past few years. These frauds join bogus courses in bogus colleges. The entitlement and bad behavior of a few makes everybody else look bad. They are also not vetting them properly. So we don't know how many criminals have slipped through as well. To add to this these students have become so entitled now that they choose to protest and demand permanent residency. I have never seen non-immigrants from any country protest to get permanent residency. The main blame for all this finally has to be on the liberal government. You messed up big time and are not doing enough to fix this.\n\nAlso, why are parents of immigrants who get sponsored and come here being given access to social benefits from day1? Look at the US, you can sponsor a parents green card but that parent does not get any social benefits at least for a few years after they land in the country.
