Canada education and immigration; An oversold dream to Punjabis\n\nPunjabis make a beeline if there is any opening to move to west, Canada encashed this weakness to the hilt.\n\nThey used to allow graduates to migrate on point basis or for education, suddenly they allowed Plus 2 students to come to Canada for education; net result, everyone who crossed the teens, started dreaming of Canada, most private colleges, even engineering colleges got shut down in the Punjab as most preferred to study graduation in Canada.\n\nAnother development took place in Punjab, every nook and corner of every city, even small towns,have an IELTS coaching centre, charging huge money to coach and Punjabis think that clearing the IELTS test is a ticket for settlement.\n\nThe net result is, there are manipulators who manipulate admissions in shady places and ultimately students suffer on arrival in Canada.\n\nThe reality check of Canada today is; there are students who are not getting part time work even, the inflation is very high and they are having a tough time surviving there.\n\nThere is a need to monitor the dream sellers in Punjab so that students are not exploited.\n\nBottom lines\nEducation in Canada is just an illusion, I don't think most students go there to study, or get employed in the line they have studied, they are mostly allowed to migrate in the garb of education; Canada gets labour that runs their universities with their own funds, before joining the workforce.

The arbitrary aspect of the immigration system is the most depressing aspect of living here in the US. I guess when the system was implemented it may have had some use (such as being impartial to everyone by employing a lottery system) but these systems are pretty outdated at this point and only a leverage for political parties to throw gang signs at each other talking about how bad immigration is. I also don’t think anyone wants to solve immigration problems really, I mean even some of the nicest local people I know throw their hands up like “I don’t know” and I think it’s because immigration suffers from the same thing that many other problems suffer from and that is a lack of focus. Illegal immigration takes up so much time and space that fixing legal immigration seems like a daunting challenge and not at all worth trying. If I were a betting person I would never hedge my bets on immigration, I just need to have the time to digest and understand a lot of knowledge about how immigration helps me and my country. It’s honestly up to the Government imo to give it the proper fix it deserves but, again, why bother if it doesn’t help?

Listened carefully to everything that was commented on and I too was a little surprised by what I heard. Being from southern Ontario actually near Buffalo and I am close to the USA but I am glad to be in Canada. Many of my friends go to Florida for the winter. They state that they will politely listen to the politics but never chime in with their opinion. The american political situation is very much like the religious situation with the Irish and the Northern Irish Catholics vs the Protestants. Your political separation borders on insanity. The current republicans lie through their teeth and keep repeating those lies. Listening to the Irish is equally exhausting. When I travel to the United States I am always glad to be home when the trip is over. While in America, I find most people are wonderful and we are always treated very well. If the Republicans snap out of it and the gun lobby loses their grip on the narrative that everyone needs a gun I think the attitude of Canadians might change. One thing for sure I am very happy that big brother is right next door and we will never have to deal with what the Ukrainian people are going through. In that instance I am glad that America keeps improving their weapon systems and their innovations and mass military production. \nI am sure there are many lovely places in the USA but the media focuses on the bad news of the day where violence and shootings and political insanity dominate news. Meanwhile most Americans are enjoying their lives in peace.

Yes I would move to Florida or Texas in a heartbeat! I could add a few more places to that list. The people who commented should have given reasons more often. I think Canadians don't see enough of the good because media doesn't let it make the tv or go viral when it's something positive. First of all, the United States is a country of misfortune for me, I'm sorry if it sounds abrupt, but how I see it!\n\nHonestly I think that for the reputation of the country and their people, it will never change if the question of weapons is not settled! (Yes again the weapons) Because that's what comes back the most how many people there are in the cemeteries who didn't ask for anything and who died by a bullet lost by the mass killings in the schools or by psychologically crazy speaking who should have ever had a gun in their hands! Never in the life does it exist in Quebec or even in any similar place in Canada! We would say at times that the United States and Canada are two different planets and not territories on the same continent.\n\nAnd also it's funny that the country is called ''United States'' while people are divided like never before with racism and political opinions whether your more (Republican) or (Democrat). I'm in Mobile Alabama and half the population lives in trailer Parks while they build whole neighborhoods every year that go unpurchased and they keep hiring more police to chase the ever growing homeless population around the city pretending they're doing the lords work.\n\nSome of you think these Mexicans are going to take your jobs, but I ask you: what jobs? Not the Dwight D Eisenhower interstate system before auto lobbies rallied against the development of a national commuter rail system, giving the rails to 4 big companies that refuse to allow passenger cars on their rails without massive fees because freight has a higher profit margin. And certainly not pension funds before they were dissolved in favor of the 401k, and the social security politicians are constantly working to cut while ever increasing the retirement age past what most people will never live to now that 45% of our water is tainted with PFOAs that will have everyone born today die of liver cancer before the age of 65.\n\nIt was CAPITALISM that made this country! The same capitalism that claws back every penny it can from working class people. America was great DESPITE capitalism. UNDERSTAND THAT.

I don’t think all these people don’t under stand the US is struggling financially not only that everyone entering will just end up in the streets some will get lucky and find work thats willing to take them in but not most will risk it

POPULATION. \n\nCompared to countries like denmark, sweden, japan, france, uk, etc. we have a much bigger country to maintain landmass wise. Infrastructure. USA is similar but they have 10x the population as us. Our population in canada is pathetic. Problem is everyone stays in ontario or BC which is stupid, im in sask I want population. Another thing about infrastructure is our climate. We have such drastic events in our climate across our huge country that takes a toll. Climate problems with our low population is not a good thing. I mean most people outside canada and even within Canada dont believe me but Saskatchewan goes from like -45 to +45C with windchill/humidex. Our forests are on fire often, that is not normal. That costs so much money to fix as well. In summer sometimes, Nunavut or NWT will be warmer then here, we talk about it here when it happens. Think about that. Weather is HUGE in saskatchewan. We talk about weather daily. I never realized until internationals pointed that out that we are obsessed with weather in sask lol. \n\n Our housing market is a joke and I agree we need to invest more in buisnesses but at the same time we need affordable housing, we are in a weird spot. As far as working etc goes people commenting here lol the golden years of the 80s are gone old timers, my parents realize this that you guys were spoiled in one of the greatest time periods in human history - post WWII boom and the effects. I could go on and on how the 70s-90s were one of the best time periods in modern history for various reasons but I wont. There are problems internationally, we live in a globalist world. We still have it good. Go travel and make international friends. This is nothing that we are dealing with at the moment. All I will say though is leave the huge metropolitans like Toronto and Vancouver. Everyone wants to go there because they think 'theres more opportunity' ugh. Theres opportunity across canada but if everyone things like that there will be problems. The idea of Ontario or BC is just a big nope for me (although I go to BC every couple years, love it there I would not want to live there).

These people just prove the lack of respect of law and order. What are they thinking that their new country would think of them acting in this manner?!\n\nThis is exactly like the mass immigration hoard by the Turkey-Greek border, that the Turkish government literally planted there to weaken Europe. You could think Mexico shipped them there in busses too.\n\nHonestly I live in Sweden that has gotten alot of internal issues due to inflated immigration and very bad migration. My heart wants to help everyone but the west cannot take in every person seeking financial gain in the world.\n\nI'd rather take a calm family from the forgotten refugee camps in Africa or the Middle east. That is in need for a new home. The people in these camps doesn't even have the means to travel anywhere to find peace.\n\nThe people knocking on our borders are not the people that are in most need.

And my life turned upside down this Friday by illegal immigrants here in Louisiana. They ran a red light, smash my car, totaled it. While running from border patrol and customs. I counted eight people running out of the vehicle and not one gave two shits to check on me, even though I was injured. Seven of them got away the only one they caught was a 14 year old Honduran child that claimed amnesty. So vehicle which they stole, which had stolen license plate, and apparently was full of stolen tools all was seized. The owners will be lucky if they get anything back since it is being held as evidence. I was told by My Attorney chances are my insurance will not pay me in full for my vehicle. Also, I only have a few payments on my car left, and I’m forced to pay it even though now I have no vehicle to get to work, because all my equity is tied up in it, funny thing is I recognize this kid from one of the jobsites down the street. They literally beat me in a bid on. Mind you only buy $400 differences I’m having to pay taxes it’s a joke when you say these people take jobs and no one else wants thing is it’s not jobs no one else wants it’s jobs that have become jobs. No one wants because of the pay continues to fall prices continue to increase, everyone thinks he’s illegal immigrants make no money on these jobsites most of them have nicer vehicles and live in nicer places than the guys I know. The Democrats who are used to vote for because I thought they were for the workingman have completely switched. Their allegiance is to the large corporations that just want to drive down competition and raise their profit margins. They don’t care about America. They want a global economic system in which we have to compete with people that are willing to do the same work as us for a little less because they don’t have to pay what we have to pay and they go back to their countries and live like kings where our dollar buys a lot. They literally use their influence and corruption to take down Trump‘s administration because he was actually doing something about America’s problems. What a damn shame it’s time to change the system. If you’re not voting for a Bernie Sanders or Trump you might as well not voted off because you will get no change. Frankly, I think Bernie Sanders is a terrible choice, but it beats Joe Biden, because at least Bernie Sanders does care. Trump 4 more years!!!!

I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. Just I want you to be fair about Canada. Please, be reasonable! The cons in Canada are not catastrophic, and it’s not difficult to fix them. It may take some time, but not difficult. Believe me it’s not about only Canada. The whole world is going a step back! I wish that my experience, helps to understand appropriately.

First off Canada is not a systemically racist country I’m white I’m also poor and I’ve lived here all my life nearly everyone excluding the native population in a immigrant or a descendant of a immigrant my mom is Portuguese and I also have black family members we are no more racist than anyone else in any other country. Every country has a few homeless people and that number has grown immensely due to poor Liberal government policy when I was young there were maybe one or 2 homeless people in my home town and they were severely mentally Ill homelessness has greatly increased since pm Justin Trudeau has been in power and that’s something I can say I have observed first hand living here in Ontario Canada for 30 years - my entire life. Canadian tax payers don’t want to pay for drug addicts to get more drugs the Liberal Canadian government have set up “safe injection sites” and “ methadone clinics” that basically give these addicts more drugs that are payed for with our tax dollars again these clinics and safe injection sites didn’t exist when I was a kid and since then the number home homelessness has increased as well as the number in population addicted to drugs. Also you’re getting your statistics on hate crimes motivated based on race or ethnicity from CTV new a media outlet on the pay role of the Liberal government most people with any sense don’t pay attention to mainstream media here in Canada because it’s no longer journalism when you parrot a narrative that the government that is constantly attacking the fundamental values of Canada no controls I live in a complex that consists mostly of Arabic in Syrian people most racist comments I’ve heard has been between other families that have recently immigrated to Canada and it doesn’t happen often it’s usually just from unruly kids that are too ignorant to understand the implications of the words they utter at one another RBC is one bank in Canada if all the people working there happen to be white it doesn’t make a difference and is likely purely because they’’ve been working that same job for many years now we don’t give people jobs in Canada based on their skin colour people get jobs based on their performance and wether they meet the necessary SKILL requirements for that job there are lots of other banks in Canada that have different cultural diversities so far I honestly just feel like your just shitting on my county and that’s extremely rude of you eh. I do watch many videos about the topic. First of all there's no place like home. As a human we will have tendency to resist to change. Choosing to leave a country whatever the reason will always be hard, you left a culture, family and so many good things. Diversity in a country like Canada is a good thing sometimes because somewhere somehow you find link to home. Imagine as a French Canadian like I am, I am consider as an immigrant in my own country. The natives came first from Asia, English took over the country which left us with no country we can call home. Many immigrants will say that French is an obstacle and don't understand why we need laws to keep it, we took our place following negotiations with the native not by conquest and always need to fight to keep that space because we're not making babies anymore and do need immigration like the rest of the country. That being said it brings the sensitive topic of jobs. There's types of jobs you do need Canadian experience, in Canada the construction codes are different from even a region versus another one. Do you know that St-Lawrence river is sitting on a tectonic plate and you need to construct a building which can resist a earthquake? What Canada need to do because we do lack of people on those job, is to provide fast track to help them having Canadian experience. They don't need anatomy courses, human here are pretty much the same but they need to know what medication is legal in Canada. Finally, all is on setting expectations, don't expect to feel at home in here, it take in average 3 generations to really feel at home, so be ready to feel pushed aside, be ready to live in a area where you will find mostly people of common cultural background. You will feel left over and pretty much alone. The only solution to be happy in here is embrasse change, go out of your comfort zone, embrace the local culture, talk to people from different backgrounds. There's a difference between multi cultural and integration. Sharing is caring, share your culture and your food, and most of all don't think you have the best way of life and other people don't understand. When you think everyone is wrong is usually a sign that you're the one who is wrong. Racism weirdly don't have a culture, a race or a religion, it's individual.

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

I was born and raised in Canada and left 30 years ago. I went to Vancouver about 10 years ago to visit family and I also found it ugly. The big glass buildings looked so dirty and outdated. It felt like an old outdated logging town. Like most Canadians, I used to be proud of the medical system but now I've realized it doesn't cure people it just keeps the citizens sick. Everyone I know there is sick and they are all proud of how many operations they've had and how many pills they take. I remember paying 30% in taxes as a University student with a part-time job. It just wasn't fair. The last straw was when I saw how the Trudeau government responded during covid. They hijacking the news stations and brainwashed the citizens. And then, they froze bank accounts of those who dared to protest or even support protesters. I lost a lot of respect for people there who I thought were intelligent and It made me realize how that place turns people into drones. Now I'm ashamed to be Canadian. Most Canadians live in a bubble and think it's the best country in the world but that's because they don't know what it's like to live. Good for you for leaving. I wish you all the best.

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

I live in Alberta but have also lived in Ontario and Nova Scotia.....and this list doesn't surprise me.... Quebec is the best province because they whine the most and control the government so they have unbelievably amazing social programs that they pay for using other provinces' equalization payments and then thumb their noses at everyone else.....if money was no object I would 100% move to BC....but for most people, I still think AB is the best

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

I think everyone has their own bias / opinion for any person. Regardless if they are the same race or different. People of the same race can dress differently and people will have different opinions. All we can do is to be our best not to behave in a rude or hurtful way. And I feel for the most part, in major multicultural areas, Canadians are doing their part. \nSome of the tests in the video seem a bit too high level. It's not really scientific. You can't make any definite conclusions from it.

and there is the fact that when most come here ,they do not integrate into the community,,,,,,they collect together and protect them selves,,,,if you think i'm wrong ,look at brampton,,it,s true....i treat everyone i meet as a person, not there color or where they are from,,if you're a nice person i got you're back.but when you build you're own communities,where when i walk through i feel like i'm in a dfferent country,,that bothers me,,,,alot

I find that with each generation, the issue with racism becomes slightly less and less, which is great considering slavery was abolished only for about 100 years. I find that living in Canada as a black millenial is much better then say living in the 70s. I never faced racism the entire time i grew up here. but then again I haven't been everywhere in Canada. I think the most you'll experience here right now is indirect racism in the small towns. but you just have to show them who you really are and most will be OK. I don't think a lot of the people still have the mindset left in the 1900s. especially not in the major cities where its so diverse. but there's racism everywhere no matter what you look like. I hope everyone can look past appearance and stereotypes some day.
