Brilliant and powerful speech. I love your country and your people Canada!?? All my support !

Pls don't get me wrong. I love my president right or wrong. But Trudeau makes a very compelling point. This is not the smartest thing to be doing with these tariffs. Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the reason President Trump brought the imposition of tariffs on Canada and Mexico in the 1st place was for them to do more about stopping the flow of Phentenol (excuse if spelling is wrong) into our country. I thought both countries have stepped up to do just that already. No? If so then why continue with this stupidness?

I want prices to go down as much as anyone; but I do not want to hurt the citizens in our allied countries or any countries for that matter. Many presidents have tried this many times and have failed. Why does Trump believe he won’t? I love my country but I hope these European and American allies hold strong against Trump. Trump is a liar!

Stay honest and true in every way you can. Character really is destiny. I love my country but we are under siege by our own government, a group of sycophantic grifters who do not possess the wisdom, experience nor the disciplined intelligence to fulfill the duties their positions require. I stand with Canada and admire Mr. Trudeau for being willing to call out Donald Trump and address us Americans directly. Yes, we will all pay for this stupidity—except of course the MAGA elite.

He’s my Prime Minister!!! ??. Canada has done everything trump wanted but trump (true to form) has moved the goal posts. He never intended to honour his agreement with my country. ??. He’s a dishonourable man and he violated his own free trade agreement with Mexico the US and Canada. We are moving on from trusting the US. I’ve cancelled plans to vacation in the US. I have lived in Canada for almost 50 years.. As an American, I DONT SUPPORT OUR president!! I never have! My grandfather, makes me proud of my Canadian heritage and i support YOU doing anything you need to for your country! I am Canadian and I love my country. I love Americans and my American family. What your President is doing is destroying everything he puts his hands on. He just wants to rob everyone of their natural resources and make them pay for the US border. We are not responsible for your side of the border. It's not our job to pay to fix your problems. Yet our Prime Minister is pouring billions of Canadians' tax payers' dollars on this. He needs to stop because nothing will get solved until your president stops what he's doing and starts paying for and fixing the problems within the US. I hope he gets booed off the podium tonight.

I find myself (United States Citizen) cheering for any country imposing tariffs on the United States. Put the largest shit stain (excuse my language) on Trump's presidency. It is the only way his brainwashed followers will understand. Make things expensive and make them think twice about who they voted for. I would absolutely love for them to be able to watch this and understand, but they have been brainwashed since 2016. The only thing that will be real to them, is the impact on their finances. If you do that, the 2026 midterms will be an absolute wave of republican seats flipping Democrats.

Canadian here, my grandfather died fighting the Nazi's during WW2 in the Raid on Dieppe and is buried in France. Trump (The Evil One) and Musk are Nazi's. As an American, I've been trying to work out in Alberta as a Pipe Insulator for over five years with no response, but you guys let in other foreign nations. How about you give the people in the US citizenship if we are seeking refuge. I want out of this crappy over priced country more than you know, and all of my Canadian friends have way more respect, values and integrity that the people in the 40's 50's 60..etc used to have in this country. Trump supports a dictator who lets children and babies die and wants to wipe out an entire country. He is opposing all of his allies for Putin. Putin will get money again. The speech of Mr Trudeau, the way Canadians have shown solidarity for one another, today it all puts my country, The US, to shame. I am ashamed of what my government is doing and I am disgusted with the people doing it. In Mr Trump’s first term, as eclipsed as they were by the many many many actions and attitudes he imposed on us that embarrassed and hurt us as a country, there was the rare occasional decision I could at least understand even if I did not support it. Since taking office literally not one thing he has done has made sense to me as an American. I can only say how sorry I am for what the country I love is being used to do to you all, especially our closest allies and friends and in particular the people of Canada today. I grew up in Commerce Twp Michigan. I visited Canada regularly and, even as crime from Detroit poured across the border into Canada, Canadians always treated us with respect and welcome. I never imagined that would stop but now I find it hard to imagine how it might continue and it breaks my heart.

This 'Info' Putin has managed to use to great effect, as he entered into the Ukraine War, and now Donald wants to 'Negotiate' with Putin AGAIN on behalf of Ukraine?!? Trump doesn't even use the CIA for his geopolitical briefings, he actually uses 'Private Services' for his info, (at Taxpayer Expense) largely I'm sure, because anyone who is close to being Competent at what they do would 'KNOW' things, and would be correcting Trump, constantly, which he hates with a passion. On top of this there's Tulsi Gabbard who the Ruzzians themselves have publicly stated IS an Agent of theirs for the last Decade. It's for these reasons and more that I say D.J. is a Traitor to this Country for the love of money. \n How much more of an illustration does one require for a 'Worst Case' scenario?!? A 'Rogue Actor' taking control of the U.S. Government with full access to it's Nuclear Codes. As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. Yes Canada is still my country and I like the way he directly adress to your president. I have so many American friends on both side( D and R ) and I hope they understand that what he said is not directly apply to United State citizen, wake up America before it s to late.
