if Mr. Trudeau only knew how embarrassed a vast majority of the civil minded thinking portion of our country really is about this current administration he would know how we appreciate his eloquence, actual truth and steadfast determination to stand up against the atrocities being spewed in all directions right now..hopefully we can rise up to the challenge facing us and rid the world of the lying, duplicitous corruption systemic from the ground up in this current MAGA quagmire..

And just for the record, I was hoping to get a few hours of paid work at the liquor store and now this just might be a game changer you know? So hard to get a job in this country… I suppose it depends on what kind of species of canine you are… Last time I was a bulldog I got flipped after six months of work. Sucks balls.

As an American Autoworker, this sucks. I understand both standpoints. I just hope that Canadians understand that not all Americans are onboard with what our President is doing. A lot are, not all. \nBooing each other’s national anthem at sporting events knowing this isn’t what’s supposed to happen between neighbors, is hard to fathom. It sucks. As an American, Trudeau, as he mentioned in his speech, is no friend of mine. These tariffs aren't going to hurt me any more than the last 4 years in america has under democrat leadership. I lost family to fentanyl, I lost my job due to terrible democrat economic policies. I lost my home. I lost my savings. I lost all hope of ever owning a home. Im losing my mother to what I am sure was the jab. I've got nothing left to take. Tariffs aren't going to hurt me. Liberal policies, from people just like Trudeau, have destroyed my life. As a Kamala voter and as an American who loves Canada, I apologize for the hideous manner in which my government is treating our neighbor and ally. I will be protesting and doing what I can to stop Trump and Musk from destroying our democracy and our friendships around the world. I wish Canada all the prosperity and health possible in the future and I hope someday you will be able to forgive our nation for the damage that the idiots running this country are causing for you and many other of our allies as well, with their ignorant tariffs and bullying tactics. I hope Canada knows 51% of us didn't vote for Trump.

Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

I am American and this is how you respond. Not like we saw with Trump and Vance with Zelensky. The US know we have a lunatic in office and hoping congress stands up and stop him all his illegal activity.

I am an American and in firm support of the Canadian people, but definitely not Trudeau! Please recall not only his assault against the truckers a few years ago, but his desired seizure of GoFundMe monies that INDIVIDUALS sent to the truckers! Perssure later required him to take his hands off. And I've seen videos of how badly he treats Christians. I do not support Russia or China, but I do consider Trudeau to be of the same ilk. I don't worship Trump and will be actively communicating with those who represent me in the US govrrnment to let them know my desires. I am hopeful that in Canada someone better than Trudeau very soon takes his place.

The conservative wing of our government is scared of Trump. They were a diminishing rudderless party before him, and now they are fully beholden to him even though they know he's wrecking our economy, wrecking our global collateral and relationships, and wrecking our established systems and processes. They'd rather hold onto their jobs than to push back against him. In California but 1000% Team Canada. I am actively seeking out Canadian products to replace those from red states. (Canadian Mist, Crown Royal and many others are excellent replacements for Kentucky whiskeys.) I hope (and expect) that Blue State governors are working with Canada and our other allies to put the squeeze on Trump-supporting states and industries. While I hold out little hope that Trump cultists will ever not be brainwashed, putting them through direct and maximum pain is the only possible way out. Canada, elbows up! Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. The fentanyl excuse is just that an excuse, trump wants to make money from tariffs to give a huge tax break to the billionaires in the USA including musk, he is not worried at all about fentanyl, he doesn't care about other people, but he does care about tax breaks for himself and the billionaires who support him. I support Canada and Mexico in this trump fiasco, and I hope Canada and Mexico really make trump squirm. trump knows tariffs will hurt the US citizens but he knows it will hit the Lower and middle classes the hardest, not causing him and the billionaires nearly as much trouble. In a sense I know why (optics), but in another sense, I don’t. Why do so many insist on retaliating against Trump’s tariffs with more or higher tariffs of their own? I think it’d be so much more effective if someone said, “You know, we’ve thought about this, and we have come to realize that tariffs are really bad. So starting tomorrow, we will respond by getting rid of all our tariffs. This will make everything we import more affordable. It will make us richer. We hope other countries will join us!
