I am a Canadian and I love America and the American people. I hope we can put this behind us sooner rather than later there is no need for any tension between us. We always have each other‘s back. With that said, I would like to see Canada step up to certain obligations, including with NATO, but as far as a trade work goes, this is not good.

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.

The President of the United States is trying to destroy America economically in my opinion. Don’t take it personal Canada. He’s fired over 20,000 people from their jobs with absolute disregard in disrespect. He left to get rid of which employed 7000 people! Trump led the charge to get rid of TikTok and then he left Office and it happened but he’s the one who started it all 7000 people lost their job jobs. Under normal circumstances I would be the last person to support our Liberal party; especially Trudeau. His past record speaks for itself. However, his talk today to the American people and Trump actually made me feel proud to be a Canadian. It was the harshest language I have heard him use towards Trump especially after enduring weeks of degrading talk from Trump in relation to calling Trudeau a governor. I hope that the Liberals follow through with protecting Canadians.

I'm European and I really can't understand how you can make an economic trade war with an ally like Canada, a close and so friendly neighbor.... A dumb decision not only for the W Post... And all of this will end up heavily impacting Americans as well, also because besides Canada there is Mexico, China and the whole of Europe. In such a war there are no winners.... As an American, I hope that our allies can recognize that we are prisoners in Trump's corruption. Why are we paying an exuberant tariff for our goods entering your country and you expect to pay nothing with your goods entering ours. I am a proud Canadian and have no love for Trudeau but more important, I fear for the American people. America was once the institution of democracy but has recently taken a very sharp turn and is heading towards the ideals of Russian communism. I hope that level forward thinking will soon prevail so that we can live in peace again in both of our wonderful countries.

Lets hope our nation serves as an example to other nations to be faithful in protecting your democracies or you will fall just as it seems we will here in American. Canada and Mexico need to protect their borders with vigilence not just for us but from us as well. Trump may well want to invade and controls all areas of our government and is gathering up vast amounts of money that he could use to do just that.
