All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. Our election system is so antiquated that tons of young people sat out and the swing states have all the power here. Plus, I don't think Mexico, Canada, France, Ukraine or any of you guys need to be apologetic, the US is what it is now

As an American I'm so ashamed and embarrassed. Please know this person does not support this. I think something hinky happened with this election because the country I have grown up in does not condone this. I don't know how to stop this, I don't know what is going to happen and I'm scared. This isn't the America I know and I know I'm not alone in this. Please know this isn't the people.

I'm just going to clarify something remember when they said Trump had allies with Russia now you see what the Democrats were talking about. Trump always blames democrats for his faults. Trump had you guys convinced not to vote for Democrat. Now are allies don't even want to deal with the US anymore which is understandable because of what the whole nation seen with their own eyes and heard with their own ears. Trump says he wants to make America Great American dream not for Americans maybe for you Republicans I guarantee a lot of Republicans don't agree with him but they all are scared to say anything to Trump and his team which that is disturbing within itself. Trump needs to be impeached he's causing to much chaos and still getting away with people's lives in real life situations this is not a joke. As for JD Vance his vice president he was laughing and asking Zelenskyy why was he not wear a suit what about Elon musk he wasn't wearing a suit? And when you ask another person to come from another country to the White House they are dressed in their traditional clothing to be mocked by these men is despicable. Real people lost their jobs, real people are dying that need aid,for them to shut down the military aid was a slap in the face,mind you they sit back and laugh about it.. Russia is the last person Trump should be nice Putin is not on the US side it's obvious but Trump laughs with him, communicate better with Putin which is disturbing as well. Having the power and money makes people so entwined into their own world,Trump should think about Americans first and not act like a disrespectful person he ruined his chance not Zelenskyy. Hell he is ex KGB for crying out loud if that's not a red flag then the U.S.?? has more issues than I thought. How could Trump and his thugs attack President Zelensky ?? on live T.V. for the world ? to see how disrespectful, cruel, a total lack of compassion for a president who has had his country destroyed he's losing his people and that shirt President Zelensky was wearing was from a young girl back in Ukraine the U.S. ?? played Judge, Jury and executioner on live T.V. They are punishing President Zelensky for absolutely no reason by stalling aid to Ukraine his people are being slaughtered and they want Ukraine to give up territory and that's not acceptable under any circumstances Trump is trying to force President Zelensky ?? into a deal with Russia ?? by stalling aid. So let's punish people in a country that has been destroyed even more to force them into a deal with Russia ?? that would require Ukraine to give up territory absolutely not! Ukraine must remain in tact and return to its former glory ?? the United States of America ?? can no longer be trusted especially if they attacked their closest allies and insulted us continually did WW1 and WW2 mean absolutely nothing to the U.S.?? when Iran ?? took American hostages Canadians ?? worked tirelessly to devise a plan to get them back to the U.S. and succeeded in doing Just that the Canadians brought back the Americans safely. When 9/11 happened and Canada ?? took on thousands of passengers in Gander Newfoundland Canada ?? we opened our airspace and landed each and every one of them safely then when Americans couldn't get their medication, Gander gave it to them free of charge when Americans went shopping for clothes the stores gave it to them free of charge everything they needed was provided free of charge they were fed housed offered compassion and opened their homes so Americans could shower and clean up. So Canadians has always been there for the U.S.?? and this is how Canada ?? is repaid for its sacrifices made during both wars and other historical events that involved both countries ????? So if the world ? sees the U.S. attacking it closest allie for no reason and insulting Canada ?? at every turn and spreading complete lies about Canadians saying we want to be the 51 St State! No Canadians want that I can tell you, not for anything or any amount of Gold or currency would Canadians want to be part of the U.S.?? we'll the world ? has seen the 2 faces of the United States ?? now and you can bet the confidence in all aspects in that country will plummet! The ?? can't be trusted anymore.

Go Canada! Be tough on America. America deserves NO sympathy. I'm sorry. Most Americans are sorry about this situation. I hate the orange troll and I'm just as angry at the people that voted for him. But, I don't think even they thought he would do this and probably trusted the Congress to stop these things. But, the Republican side of Congress is made up of cowards. This will hurt America. The US isn't launching a trade war against anyone. We are closing up shop and are getting ready to take care of our own. There is a massive difference. We cannot be expected to continue supporting other countries economies and defense obligations, when we have 2 generations of working class citizens unable to afford a home or have children. We have entire countries we could fill with the homeless and incarcerated, and veterans who see little to no positive treatment or respect within the job market. Things are already very very bad here in the states. I don't think many Americans realize how bad the economy is. Tariffs will force US companies to reduce the outsourcing of jobs, and force other countries who are over-reliant on trade from the States, to cultivate their own self-sufficiency. This may seem hypocritical when it comes to China, but that isn't a problem you can solve overnight. \n\nTo make it clear, Americans are going to suffer in the wake of this tariff decision, but that is the price we pay to force ourselves to change. We have made ourselves into a very weak country because of overreliance on other countries trade, and other countries overreliance on our intelligence, infrastructure, medical advancements, technological advancements, and defense capabilities. The american consumer and taxpayer front the bills for all of this, and they are suffering. This isn't a war on the rest of the world. It us telling everyone else that we can no longer be relied upon because we are weak. \n\nI didnt' even vote Trump the first two times he ran. But things have now gotten so bad that I was forced into voting for him this time. Why? Because he's a bull in a china shop. I expect him to tear every damn thing apart he can within our government. I want everything destroyed so it can be rebuilt by people who aren't complacent.

I don't think Trudeau was harsh at all. He simply stated some facts in a neutral way. Not berating or humiliating anyone. And few people seem to realize that mass fentanyl addiction is a US problem.

Canadian here. There's a lot of people in Canada that don't like Trudeau for a lot of reasons, but with the recent events I think the majority of the country has come to tolorate him a little while longer until we get a new Prime Minister. Trumps actions have only united the Canadian people.

What have Trump done to stop fentanyl in the US or what have he done to help people get out of their drugs addictions. Have he done an amazing job on that? I don't think so. I'm an American veteran who served for 40 years in the military, and I'm proud I did. But this thing that's in the White House makes me ashamed to be an American. Born and Raised in Canada and there is another sort of comparison I'm starting to see more and more: We have the Stagnation of Japan and the the Personality of Britain. \n\nWhat I mean by that, the people in Canada, least the older ones (Boomers), got very conservative and never wanted to rock the boat and do new things. They had in their eyes a good thing. They had work and owned their home. None of them wanted to risk that so they kept things the same for the past 3 decades or so. Well a lot has changed around the world, and were pretty much the same old. Literally. In retirement. Whats the last interesting thing Canada has done since the Canadarm? \n\nI can think of a number of achievements the rest of the world has done, including many 3rd world countries. But Canada is the same old. This has become our Culture. We don't talk about new ideas. We witness them online, but we're not Creators. We are Consumers. And that is what I think happened to Britain after they got resettled after WWII. Britain is pretty dry. And so is Canada. Hence our forest fires!

I don't understand the comparison of housing debt to GDP ratio being relevant, other than as some kind of made up benchmark. GDP is an annual number, and mortgages last for decades. How is comparing these numbers directly a measure of anything other than the amount of money invested in mortgages has increased? I would think Household income to Household debt is a more useful measure, but then again, it doesn't capture the amount of capital people have in their homes.

This is pretty common in the US. Since most delivery drivers don't carry coins some people think that they can bully them into giving more back. I usually asked for a card and then took the food back if they refused. If they don't care that the money they take comes out of the driver's pocket why should I care that they didn't get to eat the food they ordered?

Americans have really drunk the koolaid and don't realize that they are the only ones who think their country is so amazing. There are some cool things about America but nothing worth moving there for especially from Canada. I think the only people that would think America is so great are people who are running from some terrible country (probably couldn't get into Canada). I use to enjoy visiting America every now and then but in this climate there's not a chance you'll catch me even visiting.

I think society wants women to stay weak and for alpha males to call the shots. Again a transexual female can never replace a biological born female. Transexuals know this. Why destroy their only shot of a little happiness in this world? It is a very cruel existence because they will be on hormone treatments for the rest of their lives. So many gay men all over the world have femine souls. Then there are tough Lesbians who have masculine souls. It can be confusing but one can get over it all at once when you look at people from the human point of view. They bleed, they think, they have hearts, emotions and needs like everyone else in this world. America loves to put down Jews, Blacks, Minorities of any kind, sexual minorities like the LGBTQ community. Think of all us in a bus or a cruise ship. We are in this ride for a lifetime. I know for transgender people who in Asian Cultures and Native American know about the souls. Other religions don't punish or discriminate. No human being is perfect. American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Combined. \n\nFurthermore, Canadian trade with america account for almost 80% of all trade in canada. A 25% increase would be absolutely devastating to canada. In america its about 13% so a 25% increase would cost more but it wont have any significant impact.\n\nNo doubt this tarrif war will cause far more problems for canada mexico and china than america. By a LOT. \n\nI dont think america is being selfish either. China does nothing to protect america from sending precursor chemicals to america to manufacture fentanyl. You're coming over here because they want something better for their lives. They have struggled most other lives. I'm sure they have seen death. I think the trans issue has a lot of complications that really don't need to play out in the military. I accept the body God gave me and I can't imagine what people go through who can't. It's concerning though that while they're fighting their internal fights it may project on to others. Just because this one man didn't doesnt mean everyone is like him. Should be a case by case basis and not a blanket policy.

Your average soldier is not going to respect a leader or want to follow a leader who used to be a man and is now a woman and Vice, versa! I agree with Trump and Crenshaw even though I don't Crenshaw. There is no room in the military for this BS. I served 10 years and this BS is nothing more than a huge distraction. You have people who were going in just to get the operations. They spend 4 years in the military changing gender on tax payers dime. Out of the whole 4 years they may be deployable for about 6 months and that ain't all at the same time. When I was in this stuff was not an issue! They were not allowed to join and neither were gays.\n\n Think about it everyone is so bent out of shape over sexual assault well if you take a couple of gay guys and put them in an infantry unit they are going to look at all those men the same way a straight guy would look at all the girls if he was dropped off in an all girls collage. Go to their country and try to force your way in, without being properly vetted and see how far you get!! I think there is one crucial thing that need to highlight, it is about behavior. Not even in western countries but in some Asian countries, Indian already known for disrespecting to local and do not obey the rules of the country that they visit. If you ask the hotelier, driver, tour agent or even attraction/tourism spot staff they already have a signal among each other if there is tourist from India coming. In many cases, alot of provider don't accept their booking due to the previous experiences from Indian customers. \n\nSo, it is not about economic power or purchasing power but more into how Indian carry their self when they come to other people land.
