We are the ones to blame for being naive enough to bring them in with any expectation that they will assimilate. You don’t think these groups talk amongst themselves and laugh at how absolutely easy it is to infiltrate, assemble on mass and push out other groups in key industries so they can run them? All you have to do is look at certain cities across Ontario and you will start to see a phasing out of Canadians and the native culture. As Canadians are we so gullible to believe we would get the same welcoming treatment and patience in their respective countries? You honestly believe Canadians that are mistreated and not given the same opportunities and considerations in respect to jobs and worship in other countries that their citizens would fight for us and our right to exist in their space as much as we do for them here? Lastly do you people believe that the governments of the countries where these immigrants hail from would be worried about looking racist or xenophobic because they don’t care to accept us? I repeat it has nothing to do with racism here but we couldn’t and shouldn’t freely take in so many people anymore we can’t sustain this and we are absolutely gullible for believing otherwise.

MASS immigration is literally giving our stuff away for free. IE: the value of our currency, our culture, our services, our stand of living, our health and our future. I am a firm believer that many of the so called new immigrants will not remain in Canada for long as they are purely opportuinistic and therfore the folly of this policty will emerge. Brampton is a perfect example of annexation. almost 300K people from India (sikhism and punjab both are indian) pakistan is a neighbor. and 40K Canadians.... LOL OK who is gets their voice heard in elections???? DUHHH!!!! stupid. Any Municipality that sees such a large influx of one particular ethnic group should be very worried.

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

Okay the lady is saying government should give them the opportunity. These guys already here too many and they don't respect laws which you can see when you go to Brampton. And they want more and more of their people here so they can feel like their back home. But there is problem which is people from other cultures don't like more Punjabis here. And the lady is saying government should give them jobs. There are no jobs and they don't get it. It is like this there is one pizza and that is for four people and now ten people are waiting to eat that pizza. There are no jobs here because Canada is not like US industrialized and tons of companies. So what will happen when tons of you won't get job then you will go and put a camp to live and the expenses would come on tax payers if you become PR because you will claim social assistance and then hospital have to treat you. Means the resources would be limited. So let that pizza for four people. India is very good country good weather everything just build your country and have less kids so they don't have to worry in future for jobs.

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. I don't mind that though we are used to it. I don't hate him but can he make a video for other countries as well ? how Many Chinese students who didn't even past the language test come to Canada to study and drives expensive cars even without working a single day ? how you bring a immigrant under refugees status from any country to match labor shortage, but who also has 5-7 kids which means you get 1 guy benefiting Canada with 5-7 person who will take benefit from Canada?.....

you see drug addicts roaming the streets in brampton? homeless camps? Nope....go down the road to caucasion hamilton or abandoned niagra falls / st cathrines or what about overdose central oshawa or kingston and ask yourself which is worse. Rather have the Indians. They have great food, they run their own buisnesses , they are well educated , they create business and oportunities. People who have lived in Canada all their lives can't find a job, see a doctor or buy a house and even afford groceries. I'm afraid international students are the least of our worries

I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I don't understand how anyone could NOT be worried about children getting shot in schools. Once every 10 years is way too much. Now it happens multiple times a year. You really gotta step back and see just how fucking insane it is. Seriously. You really have become desensitized to it and that will be your downfall. Why you are always attacking the international students? We pay rent, taxes, CPP, tuition. We are the best students and most brilliant people of our own countries. We didnt come here for food, most of us come from wonderful countries with better weather beaches etc. We are here to contribute to this country as a new adventure while our intention remains returning home one day. Rest assured that many other countries offer better living conditions such as cheap university kitchen where you can eat and not worry about the meals, dorms just a few meters from classes etc. I tried one week applying in indeed and I got 6-7 job offers so there are plenty of jobs around. Look at the photos you are posting, most are from africans who came to canada illegally from mexico-us route or ocean-Quebec ships. Why dont you count millions of Ukrainian who are here taking your taxes and most of them doing nothing not even knowing English! I would hope you could find happiness in Canada. One of my concerns about living in a theocratic country would always be, is this choice really your own? Can you ever be certain, if faced with violations of your rights, that the choice is really yours? And, if not, can you consider yourselves as choosing Islam, rather than being forced into it, even if in absence of theocratic rule, you would have chosen it anyways? Maybe I’m overthinking it. I have the tendency to do that. I think if I were Muslim, I might choose Tunisia. I’ve known people from Tunisia and it sounds like they’re pretty open-minded, but still obviously predominantly Muslim. I’ve been to Dubai, and while I see many people recommending it, I honestly thought it was the worst combination of East and West. All the commercialization of the West, but none of the democracy. Plus, if you are not native Emiratis, you will always be second class. I’m from the US in what I think is the mini-Canada (ok, the Twin Cities) and we have a big Muslim community, but I’m very concerned Trump will win again in 2024, and I don’t know what will come of it. My daughter is part Afghani, but raised Catholic because her father’s side is irreligious. But I still worry for her, looking like she does and carrying that last name. People are so awful.

Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. If you are not dying in your country, don't come here. Im single with no kids and it already worries me sending kids to public schools ? This craziness is getting only getting worse. I would love to go to an Arab country to continue practicing as a nurse bc I feel like PK isn't the safest in the cities. But im still looking at my options. the only worry i have about Muslims trying to leave the USA & Canada is that where will our source of in-person da'wah be then? Don't you feel that some non-Muslims see us, interact with us, and convert to Islam because of connections and interactions in-person (for example, going to school, work, shpping, etc.)

Of course everyone gets to decide how to raise own kids and I wouldn't be thrilled to see a drag show together with my child either. Still, what's the ultimate goal of shielding the kids off of what's going in society? Don't they have gays, drag shows and drug addicts in Muslim countries? I'm 100% sure they have and sooner or later kids will find it out. Kids are very open minded and cannot be traumtized, if things are explained by parents in calm and secure manner. First of all, parents should be contemplating why those things above trigger them and not let the kids be the victims of parents' worries.

I pray that you will find a place that will be your home, where you won't have to worry about your children being targets, that the government won't ignore your pleas for peace and that is as warm as you need it to be. As a christian women who wears a head covering (not amish or mennonite) I have made it my 'business' to deliberately greet any one I see with a head covering. I know that can't make up for what you are going through but I wanted you to be aware that there are those that do want you to be able to practice your faith in a manner that you feel you must. I am from Pakistan studying medicine. I had a plan to give usmle or plab exam to move to USA or UK in future. But seeing your video I have instantly burried my plan. Hi, I was born and raised in the UK to Pakistani parents. My dad was also born and raised in the UK but my mum was born in Pakistan and came to the UK when she got married. Since 2019 we were planning to move, even though my family live in the UK, so it was going to be hard. We were moving for the purpose of education and better our selves in deen (faith). My dad was worried about our future and what things we would learn. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away in October 2020 when we least expected it. May Allah grant her the highest rank in jannah. Aameen. So we delayed the move till I finished secondary school (Highschool). In May/June 2022 I took my final exams and we booked our tickets to move to Pakistan at the end of August 2022, so I could get my results. In August 2022 we moved to Pakistan and since then we have enjoyed it, in June 2023 we went back to the UK for a holiday for 6 weeks and we loved it as we got to see our family.

I am a Christian, and I totally understand why you would want to move. Western society is going crazy as far as I can tell. It seems like people snapped into a state of crazy after being locked up for Covid. I live in Georgia, USA, and I agree with you about the genocide that our government is also turning a blind eye to the truth. I just don't understand why people can be full of such hate. I am so ashamed of our government. I am older, and I worry about my great granddaughter who will start school next year. I see so much of this transgender being pushed on public school children. I just can't understand what a person's sex preference has to do with preschool or any public education. This is something that should be handled at home by a parent or parents. \nI could not even imagine what you go through trying to find a safe place to pray 5 times a day. It's easy for people like me to just look around and see the Christmas decorations that are everywhere but disregard what other religions feel like when they are never considered as a part of the community. I will pray for your family to be able to live where you hear the call to prayer 5 times a day and find somewhere warm on that I agree. I hate the cold.

Don’t come to Canada. Housing is expensive, food is expensive, taxes are high and rising. If you do come to Canada bring your own tent so you have a place to live after you get tired of the homeless shelter. Don’t worry there are plenty of tent cities all over the country but do your research because some of them are dangerous. Don’t get sick because it’s hard to find a doctor and the emergency rooms are backed up for many hours to see a doctor. Violent crime is on the rise as well. I’m doing ok but will leave Canada when I retire.

It only goes down from here! Born and raised in Canada.... Been complaining how downhill the country has gone since I was a teenager (I'm in my 30s now). I avoid going to the hospital. For 2+ years, they still can't figure out why I can't see out of one eye lol. Probably have like 16 pages in my OHIP record. Also my FIL died cuz the hospital sucked. Want to get a pap smear check? It only takes 6 months to get an appointment and you need a referral from your family doc... Not that everyone has one. I'm actually worried for the day when my doc retires... I'll be famlly doctorless. Probably have to go through the walk in clinic system where they don't know you or bother to get to you know. You're just a number.

My husband and I lived in Columbus, Ohio for 12 years. During that time we had two babies, but we had insurance so the price tag wasn't too bad, overall. We made good friends there, all different political views but we got along well and it was great. We lived in Ohio both pre and post 9-11. I definitely noticed a difference in the growing patriotism around us. Even pre-9-11 there was a higher level of overt patriotism than I was used to in Canada. For instance, more people had flags in their yards or America-themed bumper stickers than I was used to in Canada. But post 9-11 patriotism grew immensely, and we started to feel like political views were starting to have an effect on friendships. Also, Ohio passed a conceal carry law (firearms), and I found my awareness that anyone around me might have a concealed weapon unsettling. In Canada the only guns anyone I knew owned were hunting rifles, locked up. But suddenly I had to worry about if there were guns in the houses that my children were visiting. As a Canadian, I just wasn't used to the idea of everyone having guns around. Anyway, we overall enjoyed living in Ohio. The cost of living there was reasonable, the people were friendly, and we only moved when the real estate bubble burst and my husband lost his job. We went back to Canada and, honestly, I've been relieved to be back as I watch the news and see how divided the American people have become. Even some of the friends that I had in Ohio have changed and become a lot less accepting of different opinions. It makes me scared for the future of the US, and the effect it all will have on the rest of the world.

I lived in Canada from 1983 to 2016 after I left the US Air Force in '83. I was born in the SF Bay area, and grew up there in the Hippie peace love/Viet Nam era in the 60's and 70's. I now live in Seattle. As we have travelled to San Fran, New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver (Canada) and New York in the last 6 months, I kinda have a pretty good idea how it was on both sides of the border way back then, as well as right now. We have 2 rental homes, and I STILL have to work until I'm 70 to retire without worrying about losing it all because of the the high cost of health care. Your observation of race/political/religion relations are naive at best, you need to travel the country first hand to see it. Canada has it's far share of right wing crazies as well. They're mostly not armed, and most fights are 5 minute shouting matches. I know this because I work on construction sites. Canada doesn't have commercials for pharma or ambulance chasers. Because big pharma is kept in check, and with a population slightly smaller than California, frivolous lawsuits would clog the courts. If the PM killed some one on the corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto, he'd go to jail. You can get an abortion in Canada. There's a fraction of the Fentanyl crisis happening in Canada, and they have waaayy less homeless in the street. Canada has 2 weeks paid vacation AND paid holidays. The tax rate is higher in Canada, but many of the benefits make up the difference. It's cheaper to buy a house in Seattle than Vancouver. You can get a 30 year mortgage in Washington as well, instead of 5 or 10 years. Good and services tend to be cheaper and more plentiful Stateside. Mail service runs on weekends, it hasn't done that in Canada since the 80's. As it stands, I'm in Seattle right now because it isn't the typical US city by far. But I'm thinking when it comes to retiring, I'm putting Canada on the list. Being a dual citizen also makes me eligible for the other Commonwealth (universal health care) countries like Australia.

But I should not be surprised with your 350 mil+ population and gun laws. And we are also seeing these problems increase in Sweden these recent years, and all of Europe.

US - the problem is when there are obvious problems you have a system that allows big money into politics, which allows for lobbying, which in my opinion is legal bribery. The idea that politicians had ( or have ) NRA ratings for supporting openly guns and not implementing the most logical of common sense gun control. \nHealthcare - in Canada, not having the healthcare tied to your employer actually makes Canadians a more free country. There are a lot of Canadians in the arts ( musicians, painters etc. ) that have the freedom to pursue any employment that wish, and not worry about the health benefits. \nIt kind of surprises me that you were surprised about school shootings. From what we see, that is not happening all in big cities. Sandy Hook was the worst. To think that Congress didn't do a thing after that, is reason enough not to want to move there.\nAnd Donald Trump has soured my wanting to ever even go there on holiday. Unbelievable that after two years, so many Americans believe anything he says, when he claims that he won in 2020 with not even a ounce of evidence to the contrary. Well, as a Canadian, I guess i'll pitch in.\nWould I move to the US? The short answer is no. But I will explain more in detail.\n\nFirst, I do not see any advantages to the US compared to Canada. Americams often tout their country as the beacon of freedom and the land of opportunities, but I don't feel that Canada is so different there. We're actually higher on the world freedom index, and its not like our economy was in shambles and everyone dirt poor... We pay more taxes, fine, but we also get more services in return, and that last part has the advantage to remove a big layer of worry. Like, for healthcare, I don't have to worry if i'm covered by insurance or not, or if the insurance carrier will drop me on some technicality. I'm a citizen. All the basic needs are covered; no questions asked (and the healthcare quality is not half bad. We just prioritize urgent cases over non-urgent; so if you go to the hospital for something non-urgent, you will wait, and more urgent cases will pass before you. Annoying when it happens, but I understand and agree with that in the end)\n\nSecond, I do see a lot of disadvantages. All the points raised in the video are valid, from the private-sector healthcare system, the gun control laws (or lack thereof), the social policies and legislation in some states; they don't agree with me.\n\nI think it comes down to some specific social and cultural ideas that are prevalent or at least present in a substantial manner in the american society. Bear in mind that I am generalizing here, not every american believes these points, but many do. Everyone in the US is taught a lot about the US themselves in school, but not much about the rest of the world. Not great for open mindedness and introspection when you have little comparison points.\n\nAndlets not delve into the religious aspect. I've seen a poll somewhere where 48% of americans were AGAINST the separation of church and state. For me thats not only insane, its dangerous. It fits the individualistic mentality where people can more easily start thinking that their way is THE way. It creates a very polarized society much more prone to high volatility.\n\nSo, yeah, no, I wouldn't live in the US. I'd much rather stay in Canada where i don't have to worry if I get sick or hurt, if some agressive drunk idiot in a bar is armed, or if some fundamentalists from some religious congregation is gonna be able to try to politically force their point of view.

Been to the states many times and never really worried about my safety. My wife however has heard so much about the shootings that she is afraid to visit. When we travel abroad it's Europe or the Caribbean. I think because we here in Canada see so much of the gun violence in the states on the news we think its everywhere, skewing our perception maybe.

I feel so strongly about family safety, we stopped even visiting the US in the 80’s. If forced to leave Canada, I would live anywhere but the US. Canada is where I feel safe and I never once had to worry if I sent my kids to school, would I ever see them again.
