Bad for Canada. Bad for America. Bad for the world. The question is whether the majority of MAGAs abandon Trump after a recession begins because of Trump's policies. I'm not sure. Maybe? For sure, they'll try to blame Biden. And some just want Trump to fight the culture war and are willing to accept the consequences of an economic downturn so long as trans people are restricted on the bathroom they can use. Some are rich enough that they wouldn't be affected by a recession. As if world events weren't already volatile enough.

It should be no surprise that our leadership chooses to blame all of our problems on someone else, because that's exactly what they do every day. We have a drug problem, it's because of Canada and Mexico. We have an immigration problem, likewise Mexico and Canada. We have a deficit problem, that's because of the EU and NATO. Our problem is our government, specifically Republicans who won't accept the simple truth: you want to solve problems you have be disciplined and smart. You have to spend money to fix your problems instead of blaming some else and trying to get them to pay for it. You pay to solve your problems instead of giving huge tax cuts to people who don't need them. You stop lying to your people. You want to change the trade imbalance? Build products that other countries want at a price that makes sense. The EU has no laws that prevent American car manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe. American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept. We have an idiot for president who thinks he knows more than anyone else and an idiot party that won't tell him the truth. This is going to cost us big time. We are going into recession, probably a long one because we don't have real leaders and the president on his best day is nothing more than a reality TV personality, and not a very entertaining one at that.

Those US citizens who did not vote for tRump and we support Canada. My husband is a retired Airborne Ranger who worked cooperatively with military personnel from the UK, Canada, Germany, France, and other democratic countries around the world. They don’t care how many US citizens they hurt with their greedy megalomaniac agenda. We are sorry that our administration is being so unreasonable and hope you can forgive the rest of the US citizens that never wanted this situation with you and our other NATO allies.

If anyone knew how bad and unsafe life is in Juarez Mexico you wouldn't blame people from trying to run out of there. With the drug violence it's normal to just see dead bodies hanging from the side of a freeway together or laying on the streets. It's normal for young women to be kidnapped and killed. Normal for even the reporters reporting on the cartels to be killed. Many people don't even feel safe leaving their homes. Given half a chance I would try to run in there too but I understand the concern that we just can't let so many people in our country. I see both sides.

Most Americans don't know that the trouble in Venezuela like most other countries south of our border, was more than likely caused by US interference. For decades our government has financed regime changes at the request of American corporations. Us companies take advantage of natural resources and cheap labor to get maximum profits at the expense of the other countries. Anytime politicians tried to look out for the best interest of their country and people, we financed any opposition that would disrupt their government from enacting change. Our tax dollars. Then, when immigrants come up because of poverty and violence, who can blame them? We all would do the same. Decades of under-funding immigration services and courts make it a years long process that most can't afford to wait for. America is a huge country. We have room. They aren't talking your job. And the vast majority are not criminals. But, the wealthy and powerful people need you to be distracted and have a scapegoat for you to blame for everything. Quit idolizing the wealthy. The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

It' the MAGA mentality. In Canada over the last 2 1/2 years Pierre Poilievre has been blaming Trudeau for everything. Just like Trump blamed Biden/Harris for everything. But especially for immigration. Poilievre and Trump have blamed immigration for job loss, housing shortage, healthcare inefficiency, crime, urban decay. Poilievre and Trump don't try to differentiate between refugees/asylum seekers and legitimate immigrants. Canada's birth rate has been falling every year since the 1960s. Canada needs immigrants. Both the Conservative and Liberal governments supported immigration in the past. Poilievre is using immigrants to rile up the racists and the ignorant, for his own political gain.

Let me cite a few below.\n\n1) In one of the Western countries, a few years ago, a real Punjabi brother and sister who staged fake a marriage, got a marriage certificate, and other documents only to migrate there. The government eventually found put and deported them.\n\n2) Canada deported a few hundred Gujarati students when the US border security found them not speaking in English. On investigation, it was found that they all came with fake IELTS certificate.\n\nThere are many incidents we get to witness the day after the day. So, we can't blame other countries. It's us who made us very cheap in the international market. Because of those Indians, the entire innocent, honest, and talented Indians community is affected.

You need to explore the fraudulent ones too and not just blame other country's visa process which is the same for people from non-indian origins. The actual issue is much more complex. Can you break down the west coast cause holy moly, i feel like i live in india not Canada!!! My apt building is filling up with immigrants, all the whites are moving out as the landlord is letting our building turn into a slum, whenever i call, he is in India, he has not fixed a damn thing and as white people move out, he does not clean the apt between people, he let's them move in with other people's garbage, he did that to me and when i complained he asked for the keys back, he is also doubling the rent of the new immigrants. Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. It is 100% the Trudeau Government to Blame. As a born and raised, WHITE Canadian, I NEVER had an issue with Indian immigrants, of all the immigrants to Canada, they were the most respectful, and the most willing to “assimilate” to our culture. I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race.
