I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. The government has its grip on every aspect of Canadian life, it has hindered the responsiveness of the economy so much, that it cant even pivot to take advantage of free capital (int’l students) and third world labor rates (temp foreign workers).

In Canada now Canadians are so angry at Indians coming here on fraudulent papers, conducting themselves like savages without any morals or standards. Turning every restaurant they work at into a biohazard public health danger. It's absolutely sick and these new Indians are majorly racist towards white people. Indians are being beat in the streets now on a daily basis. Canadians are starting to fight back and send a message. Do not come to Canada. There is no affordable housing available for anyone.! There are no doctors for the majority of the population now. Hospitals are forced to close. Many people both native Canadians and new immigrants are forced to become homeless because of an overwhelming number of Indians flooding into Canada. There will be a lot of murders over the next few years in Canada. People are desperate and only trying to survive in their own native country.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

The people u spoke to were all drug addicts & from the looks of them they have been in the drug culture for a good 20 yrs, they made those choices way before those Indians went to Brampton. The only one that had a home was the French lady, also a foreigner, but she looks white enough, u didn’t have a problem with her. Here is the real problem your ignorance is showing first of all Indians were a British colony so they all speak English. Their culture values education so many of them already come to Canada with a high level of education and they are getting degrees in order to work in Canada. They believe in working & don’t expect the government to provide them with housing and all their needs like the white people sitting around in tents. Another difference is that family and kinship is valued so Indians work together to build themselves up. They may have to live in crowded housing but they r working to save to be able to buy their own homes. The problem with White people is they don’t have family unity, they view having children and inconvenience. They don’t realize that those children will become their safety net as they get older. Family helps each other out, those Indians would do anything to keep a family member from living in the streets. This would put their family in shame in their community. Canadians have something to learn from the Indians. By the way their religion disapproves of alcohol & drugs so they don’t have that problem. The working Indians r paying more taxes and supporting those drug addicts, if the Indians were not there Brampton would be a dying city. Greeting from the US.

There are a lot of scammers around the world. It is in your duty to identify them and never fall as prey. It's not Canada's fault that you are getting deported for false information. Scammers are getting better every time. It is your duty to do your own research so you won't get involved into this mess. Yes Canada immigration also needs to screen the application very carefully so this type of nonsense will not come to pass. If you fall prey to scammers that is your own fault for not doing the right thing or even following the right process. You guys like it easy then Canada will make it also easy for you. DEPORTATION. I am an immigrant myself and we followed every single steps to become an offcial canadian citizen. It took me years to become a citizen. And I am not just talking about 3 or 4 years later, but 10 years later coming from a skilled worker.

Well the best thing to do for those illegal immigrant to come to Canada would be they go to India, apply for a student visa, come to Canada, join the Khalistani gang, apply for ASYLUM ,get a citizenship of Canada and join one of the gangster either Lawrence Bisnoi or Goldie Bhel gang and become a local king pin.\n\nThis is a hand made strategy by Trudeau and Singh.

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

For licensed doctors I would think that the 4 years would be a snap if you already know the material but beside that , if they went back because they could work in their field in there home country then why did they come here in the first place. Obviously it wasn't violence or fear for their lives.\n If they come here and enjoy the first years but then the reality kicks in when the benefits stop that they may have to work for minimum wage and they now know that a person making minimum wage in Canada is makes you homeless, can't afford a car or the gas, insurance and can only buy food , that they realize that they were better off where they were. It;s time our government informed these people of the harsh reality of how our governments have allowed our once great country to become place where it;s citizens suffer under these financially inadequate conditions that are only made worse by immigration numbers that far exceed our ability to house them. Maybe have them try to support themselves on the income they would get here while they are still in their country, or if it made a condition that our government must prove that they can sustain themselves with minimum wage before they can immigrate then immigration would be denied because heaven help them if minimum wage isn't enough because welfare/odsp is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Have you ever stopped to think about why people like your wife and her family left home to come to Canada? Yes, they escaped from fundamentalism and the challenges it created in their country. When they arrive here, they suddenly become intellectuals and want to make Canada like back home! I have a lot of respect for those who have made the decision to leave. I hope others, instead of complaining and comparing Canada to their home country, consider getting on a plane and leaving.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. Thank Justin trudeau for doing this to Canada, am saying this as an Indian. He wanted khalistani votes so he allowed entry to any uneducated khalistani to come to Canada and settle there and become a Canadian citizen through student visa program and falsely claim refuge in Canada claiming to be prosecuted in India just to claim Canada citizenship and benefits.

Firstly your country has a very stupid policy on international students. All most all of them come there for economic reasons. They enroll in stupid courses which in any case will not contribute to your country. Why can’t you have a system where their attendance in classrooms is kept a track of and any one having less than say 75% is warned and after three warnings sent home. Once they successfully complete their course, they are given six months to stay and then sent back. Keep only the ones who can be of asset to Canada. Else your country will soon become another country like the UK is now.

I am Indian descent my parents came here with proper immigration process and brought money to put in Canadian economy. It was fine before when immigration was minimal. Now it doesn’t even feel like Canada anymore. They come here then enforced their beliefs/culture on Canada if we keep that up, there will be no Canada it will become India,Punjab,Middle East and Africa etc. You’re doing a great job please keep it up.

This is an honest video and I like that. I moved to Canada in 2010 and I moved back to Europe in 2021, so I am a Canadian immigrant and citizen now. I personally don't blame the Indians, I worked with people from India and I love a good tikka masala. Only Trudeau is to blame in Canada. But in India there are people who scam your Indian students, telling them they could go study in Canada and then become citizens and this is why now Indian students are protesting, because they realize they have been lied in India. So Canada is not to blame for this incident. Students must understand - they come to another country just to study, then go back home. And everybody must understand - when you move to another country, you must learn the new country culture. The Canadians must not adapt to the Indian culture, the Indians must adapt to the Canadian culture. I remember when we came to Canada they told us that if we do a crime, we would be deported back to our country. And now so many people do crimes and nothing happens. This is wrong. My point is - the main blame goes for the government, but some blame goes for the new Indian migrants too.

You were spot on about govt's role and the behaviour of the crowd that has moved in the past few yrs. I have been here for 28+ yrs. I am sad about everything that is happening now. \n\nSad for Canadians and the new generation of students coming with improper planning. Some can't even speak decent English. Some are not interested in studying and getting local degrees. No solid long term plans. \n\nSome of them have no respect for local culture as you mentioned. Rude and unruly behaviour has become a common site in some areas. It is expected that most Canadians will come to detest all that. It's only natural. I can't stand it so how would they, who have never been exposed to that? \n\nDuring Covid, govt let students work FT, they let them come without asking for proof of sufficient funds to support themselves. Because of that, many people brought their families and the spouses were allowed to work as temporary workers. \n\nAll this was to be a temporary arrangement but people moved in droves without considering the possibility of things changing. They figured that between two jobs, however small, a family could survive. Sadly, not true. We already have a crisis at home and this made things even worse for the locals. There are low income families here as well. Things like Covid and the war has affected Canada badly. \n\nGovt failed to make it clear that the lifting of work restrictions for students was a temporary move. People also got carried away. In the end, everything has become a royal mess. As I said, it is a sad situation for both sides.

Immigration is to bring people that can improve the country, not bring people to add to the food back. If you are not self sustainable and able to become a productive memeber of society, you dont have a right to come to canada.

Maybe if they stop the massive fraudulent “student” workers or the many gang members putting Canadians in danger with their criminal/violent actions while extorting their own people. Just follow the rules like others do and watch the Hate disappear. Also stop hiring your no skill cousins to come here and become road dangers. Understand that Education system has become a business these days. Do you think that Indian students come to Canada by spending 10 times more for education, because they learn some great techniques or lessons? It is only with the hope that after the education they can get a high paying job in Canada. Indian education system is far better than Canada's. In fact Canadian universities badly need these students, else they may not be able to pay salaries to their professors or universities will shut down. So after these students came here by taking high loans, now you change the rule/law is giving hard time to these students. You guys attract these students by showing them hope. Well WTF ! Who in the hell wants to live in India? In Canada! Canada is becoming a suburb of India, China, and other Muslim countries.\nWhen a country of only 30 million allow immigrants from everywhere but especially countries of 1.6 BN, you end up a minority in your own country. From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). I see alot of doom and gloom. But Canada is still one of the best countries to live in. Alot of Millenials and Gen Z think that becuase we are born in this country we are entitled to certain standards of living without sacrifice. You have to live below your means. You have to be willing to relocate to a part of Canada that may be looked down upon by others. You have to be willing to start at the ground floor of a company and work your way up ecrimimentally even if you\n just start out by cleaning toilets. Immigrants come to Canada without a dime to their name yet become millionaires through hardwork amd determination. You have to find a partner that is willing to sacifice too and stick with them through the ups and downs. Love and challenge your children to be better. Live below you means and invest the difference. You have to be patient this will not come over night but in decades and if you continually build little by little you will suceed. You can do it. Dont submit to stormy seas.

We are in the process of leaving Canada as well. Possibly permanent. We have come to Canada 22 years ago. We can live a good life with even one minimum wage when we first arrived Canada. It was a dream land for everybody. Today, we are double income professionals in Saskatchewan and still feel living standard is poor. Grocery price is 5 or 10 times as when we first come to Canada. However, salary of average family barely increase. The spending of government is just out of control and make everybody poor. Canada is on a rapid downhill path since Justin Trudeau become Premier Minister, I can't see this trend can be turned back in a short time.

20 years ago Canada was a beautiful country. It is a cesspool now. It’s a shame. I come from a military family and I am truly thankful my father and grandfather aren’t alive to see what the country they fought for has become.

The problem is not international students. The problem is that Canada created an immigration program and call it international students. Normally, you would expect that some international students will go back to their countries, but the students come to Canada, and their first question how we become citizen

The solution is really, and I mean really simple... Become a PR first, apply from India, go through the selection process. Come to Canada with your PR and then go get your education for much cheaper at a reputable University , not some unaccredited shack that presents itself as a college. They enjoy being Canadian\n\nOne of the students said it best... becoming an International student ONLY means you can study and get an education that you deem better than the one provided to you in your own country. No university having programs open to International students can promise to find you work or make you a resident or citizen of that country. No French, or German, or Dutch University that allows you to study there has any obligations to you working or staying there.
