I immigrated from the Philippines because of the tyrannical regime and martial law of the Marcos government at Co the time. I was 13 and my dad decided on Vancouver over 4 other places. I am Canadian above all but I have seen how things have been going downhill… and I have observed the patterns as to WHY. Then we have US and British corporations using countries like Canada and Australia as cheap mine sites. Finally, we have the property Ponzi scheme which keeps housing out of the reach of young people. In both Canada and Australia, the birth rate has fallen because young people cannot afford to have kids. Both countries maintain their population level via immigration but that con is now falling apart because migrants can see that the game is rigged. Canada and Australia both produce a huge amount of wealth but it doesn't flow to young folks. Old folks who have fat investment portfolios don't want to rock the boat but, by their inaction, they're throwing their country's future under the bus. It's no mystery as to where this path leads. Just take a look at the catastrophically low birth rate in South Korea. Look at Italy with its falling population.

It's not just Canada that has fallen, the WEFs tentacles stretch far and deep. The UK, is broken, my home of 52 years is no longer home. My wife and I have decided to leave, there is no way on God's green earth we would send our daughter to school in the $hithole that is called England. We are researching like mad, currently top of our list is Bulgaria, Albania, Mexico. Regardless of all the mud-slinging in the comments, I strongly advise any prospective immigrants to Canada to consider their situation/ aspirations seriously before making the move to Canada. While Canada is indeed a beautiful country, especially from spring to fall, there is no doubt that it has fallen behind severely in recent years. This is a massively underperforming country and people (Canadians and immigrants alike) are struggling big time. There is a massive leadership problem in Canada, where trivial problems get 99% of the attention. Real problems (which are easily solvable by the way) get little to no attention at all. Either there is very little will or the current administration is simply incompetent. Either way, some structural changes need to happen before Canada can recover.

Great video. I'm from Victoria but have been living in Asia for 25 years. I have no idea how regular people get by in Victoria/Vancouver etc. I'm shocked how far Canada has fallen. It was probably a long slow slide but post pandemic Canada seems like a disaster. Singapore is so good I'm shocked you would stay in Vancouver or anywhere in Canada unless you are tied down somehow. I left when I was 30 as it just seemed so stagnant especially on the work/financial front and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

Last 10+ years india has risen so much and these so called first world countries have fallen down. So the gap between US/Canada and india has been narrowed down. Illegal immigration, high taxes, crime etc are on highest right now in US and Canada. That is why india is a better choice right now!

It's hard for Canadians to grasp but in the current era Canada is a failing state. All of its sources of wealth and income have been throttled by political interference. Pipelines. Mining. Logging. Even breathing, as carbon dioxide is fraudulently slagged as a 'pollutant'. Canada's enemies have done very well. Canadians have not fared well in catching on to the fact that they've been attacked. So, those who can, leave. During the covid fraud when it was 'mandated' (A euphemism for ORDERED) to take the injection, 8,500 health care workers were laid off, most of whom were recruited by Texas and Florida. Our loss; their gain. Yet another 'chip in the wall'. In our business we've even had immigrants from Russia tell us they're going back. Most Canadians don't realize the state their country has fallen to under the Trudeau's wrecking ball.
