CNN is so full of shit they can’t even talk the facts of Donald Trump getting himself in this shit. Pink suit mama Paula is stuttering all over herself. The first thing she says is how Trudeau spoke of how it’s going to be hard on Canada and then stuttered about it being hard for Americans. But she FAILED to mention that Canada has vowed to be there and make amends for its citizens unlike America whose government has hung its citizens out to dry. CNN also failed to mention ton that Trump signed the current trade agreement when he was president for his first term. Never thought I would see the day CNN would skirt the issue trying their damndest not to use the words the rest of the world is saying and that’s “What the fuck Donald?” Shame on you CNN. You’re the reason the right information isn’t being put out there.

It's more than time for Canada to turn themself to electric Chinese car at around CAD 5K with quality comparable to Tesla and so many more affordable goods and products from diverse countries of Asia including cheaper chips, GPU, CPU, etc... with the green, affordable and available electricity in huge quantity who could place Canada at the first rank in AI development without speaking about it Geo position reducing latency, Crypto mining at the lower cost around the entire world, the world largest rear earth elements and so many more. By stopping to cooperate with a vicious country which has the philosophy of eliminating the concurrency until to collaborate for the exponential growth of each other's. It's clear that the target of the US was to force the Canada to be producing goods and service to the US consummation at a price so low that will have turn Canada in a third world country which the US could invade or exploit as it will, like they did all around the world by bombing and even committing genocide using proxy to stole the resource of so many nations around the world. So obviously they deal with Russia on how to rob the richest from Europeans nation like Ukraine as it is clear that the US is now looking to make the entire world economy fall for their own profit. Canada must lead in the fight against the American imperialisms pushing for a world embargo against the US and become at the same time one of the richest nations in the world if not the richest one. while for the US citizens to invest all their money in BTC to ensure that they will not fall down with their government and economy.

Trump went against the trade deal that he made with Canada and Mexico when he renegotiated the existing deal during his first term. Trump called his deal with them beautiful and perfect. Trump does not keep the deals he makes to other countries or to the Americans who voted for him. \n\nTrump's final push in his campaign was to cut costs for Americans at the checkout, chuckling at the strange sound of the word 'groceries' to him. He has never worried about or dealt with buying groceries. The moment he got back into office, he said that lower prices wasn't happening and that the American people would suffer. \n\nThen he and Republicans began cuts in jobs and government services to Americans as well as others in the world, so that no one can trust Trump --- and in the case of others in the world, it reflects so bad on the U.S. and against any trust in the U.S. anymore. No president has ever done so much damage at home and abroad so quickly. \n\nTrump is the Deceiver and the Destroyer. Trump doesn't care if his voters figure it out. They are no longer needed.

Well, Americans can hear first-hand that Canada has gone above and beyond to maintain a peaceful, productive alliance. This will hurt the working class people in all countries associated, but the working class Americans more than any other group. \n\nThis is a sad day in world history.

Looking in from the UK Trump has just gone 100% rogue for the west and 100% for Russia. By splitting USA V Canada V Mexico trade which he signed of in his first term he has now supplied Russia with the split they wanted. USA power has always been the number of allies it has around the world now it is splitting from them and joining Putin which makes Putin very happy. America is weaker and that is just dandy for Russia China Iran and North Korea President Che will be moving forward with his plan to attack Taiwan and then watch America as it has no computer chips for all the industries tied to super computers cars planes ect.

Wow, Trump is good. Shook Canada to listen and work now. I am sure he has their attention, and an a few weeks, he will fix these tariffs. The point here is he is not playing any games with the world and he is putting America first best to work with then against America.

Dude Its a shame you stepped down. Because you are one Awesome leader. I would rather be #Canadian Right now Than an American. I have found that being an American is not what I hoped it might be. I have been to Canada. Its a wonderful Beautiful nation and its people are some of the coolest in the world. I live so Close to Canada I am sorry We are doing this to you. and the Great Canadian's. I am incensed and angry right now. I want to just leave and defect to another country. I can not Stand the Hideous evil Man Trump And his lackey sidekicks Musk and VD Vance. They are destroying this great nation. Why the military has not stepped in here. Only shows its Cowardice and weakness to follow its own oaths to the nation and its people. Trumps first term was a nightmare. This Term is horrifying. And its killing people. Soon there will be Farms/Camps. Then worse things will come. In Advance There are those of us who are sorry now. Many of us do not have the ability to stop this. and we really really want too.

I am extremely saddened and embarrassed by our president's actions. Seeing what Donald Trump has done in the past and is doing now, I pray for him and other world leaders every day. Their political choices matter. I did not vote for Trump, his first nor second term. He did so much harm during his last presidency that fueled so much division. And yes, Vladimir Putin is absolutely playing him, and he can not see that. I'll keep on praying, and leave it in God's hands. I stand with Canada, Ukraine, and Mexico.

As a American just few hours away from Canadian border... we don't need your garbage we already replaced Canada, get over it. . we are tired of supporting the world, constantly dumping money into other countries... we are putting America first and if anyone gets butthurt about that well thats just to bad
2025-03-04 0
These other countries need us way more than we need them. It's time we put ourselves first. I'm tired of saving the rest of the world. Canada will get over it and be stronger if they do.\nIf they can't stand on their own 2 feet why is that our fault?

What a big difference between the speaches of DJT , Trump is trying to get Americans to believe that he is the savior of the USA. Justin Trueau is an intelligent and serious leader of Canada - compliment! \nHe stumbles along with a very limited vocabulary in his speeches, speeches in which any normal person can hear how little intelligence and substance there is behind these words. \nNow he is blackmailing the victim of the Russian war instead of the perpetrator, just as he is sacrificing everything the free world stands for for his confused fantasies. \nHe is now even demanding a third term in office, although in the first few days he has already brought more harm to the people than any president before him. \nThis is the direct path to a dictatorship in the Putin model.

Why Canada, Mexico, or any other country in the world doesn’t have the problem of drugs except United States of America. Why is that.? Think about it, we are the consumer and want to Party Up like there is no tomorrow. So Donald trump get your S.H.I.# in gear and clean up your mess first before you point fingers.

Thank you Canada for being the first nation to stand up to this tyrant now maybe other nations will join in and show this tyrant of a president that even if we don't totally agree on each other's policies we as a world still need each other for a successful survival !!!

Canada is on track to become the next world superpower, so long as Trump doesn't hand the keys to the kingdom to Putin first. The American people do not want this. I pray the people can take back their country before we collapse.

Just curious why so many support Canada as Americans? If you look at the spending and trade throughout the world, America and Americans have been footing the bill for a long time. What exactly is wrong with America putting America first and getting a fair deal with the rest of the world we do business with? It's our taxpayer dollars that fund this and we have been overpaying for decades now. Honest question.

How it feels when some European countries didn't support Gaza? \n\nNow this is first time in history to see that how US has ditched Europe and Canada.\nThis will lead to New type of World order, in which Global South will get more benefits than Global North. \nAnd China will be greatest beneficiary among global Soth countries.

The United States has become an unreliable world leader and trading partner, which will not put America first. The USMCA trade agreement between Canada, Mexico, and America, initially brokered and lauded by Trump as “terrific,” is now being scraped. The stated reason, a national security threat due to fentanyl originating from the Canadian border (approximately 43 pounds in 2024), is bogus. This pretend “security threat,” allows Trump to circumvent congressional oversight and undermine constitutional norms. Canada's historical contributions to the United States are extensive, including WWI, fighting Hitler in WWII for two years before they joined the fight, declaring war against Japan WWII after Pearl Harbour before America did, was 25% of D-Day’s landings, support during the Iranian hostage crisis, after 9/11, in Afghanistan, and during natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and California wildfires. However, Canada is now being treated transactionally, with a lack of respect to a historical friend and ally.

The Mexican President CLAUDIA SHEINBAUM writes to Trump and Musk on behalf of THE REST OF THE WORLD:\n\nSo, you voted to build a wall… Well then, my dear Americans, even if you don’t know much about geography—after all, for you, “America” is your country and not an entire continent—it’s important that before you lay the first stone, you know what you’re locking out with this wall.\n\nOutside, there are 7 billion people; but since the concept of “people” doesn’t seem to interest you much, let’s call them consumers instead.\n\nThere are 7 billion consumers ready to replace the iPhone with a Samsung or Huawei within 42 hours. They can also swap Levi’s for Zara or Massimo Dutti.\n\nQuite comfortably, within six months, we can stop buying Ford or Chevrolet vehicles and switch to Toyota, KIA, Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Subaru, Renault, or BMW, which are technically far superior.\n\nThese 7 billion people could also cancel their Direct TV subscriptions and—even if we wouldn’t like it—stop watching Hollywood movies, opting instead for Latin American or European productions, which are superior in quality, content, and cinematography.\n\nAs incredible as it may sound, we can stop traveling to Disney and instead visit Xcaret in Cancún, Mexico, Canada, or Europe—there are many incredible destinations in South America, Asia, and Europe.\n\nAnd believe it or not: There are even better burgers in Mexico than McDonald’s—with higher nutritional value.\n\nHas anyone ever seen a pyramid in the United States? In Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Sudan, and many other countries, there are pyramids with fascinating cultures. Take a look at where the wonders of the ancient and modern world are located… None of them are in the U.S. Too bad for Trump—otherwise, he would have bought and resold them!\n\nWe know that Adidas exists, not just Nike, and we can start consuming Mexican sneakers like Panam.\n\nWe know far more than you think; for example, we know that if these 7 billion consumers stop buying your products, unemployment will rise, and your economy will collapse so severely within your racist wall that you’ll beg us to tear it down. We didn’t want anything, but… You wanted a wall? Then you’ll get a wall.\n\nSincerely, \nTHE REST OF THE WORLD. \n\nPlease forward this message to 12 people. If you don’t, nothing will happen—except that many people won’t learn about these realities. \n\nCLAUDIA SHEINBAUM \nPRESIDENT OF MEXICO

Trump's Import Tariffs Are To Combat a Non-Existing Problem \n \nThe import tariffs that US President Donald Trump has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China are meant to combat a non-existent problem, economics editor Jonathan Witteman recently analysed. Trump sees the structural trade deficit (the difference between the export and import of goods and services) that the United States has with almost all of its trading partners as a sign of weakness. Contrary to almost all political left-wing and also right-wing economists, he believes that a trade deficit is bad for a country's economy and believes that the US is being cheated by countries that export more to the US than they import. \n \n'I have said that the EU must make up for its enormous deficit with the US by purchasing our oil and gas on a large scale. If not, punitive tariffs will follow', Trump said last December, for example, about the trade balance between the US and the European Union. \n \nA connection between a bad economy and having a trade deficit cannot be found, political economy professor Andres Freytag concludes in the analysis. There are many countries in the world, such as Germany, with a trade surplus but a poorly performing economy. The opposite is more likely to be true: in countries with a trade surplus, more people are unemployed. This was shown by the Peterson Institute. \n \nTrump's tariffs are more dangerous for the economy, because they reduce imports and exports, partly because other countries in turn impose punitive tariffs in response. Trump's announced import tariffs during his first term even led to a larger trade deficit and to 7.2 billion dollars in welfare losses in the US.

This is not about tariffs. It is about Trump unravelling all of America's relationships with its allies, to make the country weaker, in the service of Putin. Canada is just the first. But Europe will be next. Then America stands alone, too weak to be a world leader.

What has Canada and European countries done to actually try and end the death and destruction from this war? Europe buys energy from Russia, and Canada is only giving 650 million dollars in weapons over three years, while America has supplied hundreds of billions of dollars in aid and military equipment. Zelensky goes around the world dressed in a military outfit with no desire to stop the slaughter of humans on both sides. There have been thousands of wars where, eventually, one side has to accept the reality that they can not win, Zelensky is unwilling to see this. President Trump was elected because we want his AMERICA FIRST AGENDA, and with us saddled with 36 TRILLION dollars of debt, this war needs to stop.

For the souverainity of Canada: fight for the peace.

Ask your self why we give money away to foreign countries while others give money as a loan. The world needs the USA. Canada can’t protect Ukraine, Germany, can’t do it. So who will? If our allies think they can do it better then bring our troops home. Watch what happens to their economies. Let their sons and daughters be the first to go in. Let us play a support role. We used to be the police of the world now they want us to be the bank and the police of the world enough is enough. And I’m a veteran as well.

Of course it's CNN. Trudeau, you do not represent Canadians. You have destroyed Canada and only now because of Trump you are dealing with the horrid fentanyl problem that is killing our communities. You have not fixed our health care system nor our political system. YOU NEED TO JUST GO, STOP YOUR EGO DRIVEN LAST GASP AT LEADERSHIP. You prorogued our own government, basically shut down debate and decision making in Canada while you parade yourself around the global world. NOW YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT CANADA FIRST, when a short two months ago you were pushing Canada for the past 9 years as a post national state. You are posturing and have no credibility in Canada or globally. YOU DID NOT WORK WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP, YOU CAME UP WITH NO PLAN BASED ON WHAT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE U.S. YOU JUST WANT TO PREEN AND SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA AND SKIRT AROUND RESPECTFUL NEGOTIATIONS WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP BECAUSE YOU ARE MANIPULATING TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. Just take that walk Trudeau and be gone, you have 3 more days and then we do not want to see you again.
2025-03-04 0
Shut up Trudeau...everyone wants peace. Trump did us a favour. Canada first.....trade within our borders and the big world
2025-03-04 0
All you had to do was protect the border and lower the many tariffs you have on US goods. Over a million people in the US have died due to fentanyl and the human trafficking. Canada and its bureaucratic masters are realizing that America no longer wants to be part of the new world order and global elite bureaucratic government. The US is 37 trillion in debt we are currently dismantling our own corrupt bureaucracy and ending the Hegemony to focus on America first instead of policing the world for the elites. Canada, Mexico and the EU better adjust because no more handouts are coming we simply can't afford it.

The trouble is, that none of the issues Dumpsterfire has brought up on the root cause or intent for his useless dangerous and destructive tariffs, aee actually relevant to the imposition of a terrorist. He is just a two-year-old and an old man's body, throwing a temper tension, because Canada told him where to go and we drew him a map to get him there faster. We refused at fifty first state proposal and treated it as the threat that it is. When he imposed tariffs, Canada slapped him back. TWICE. He might think of himself as the most powerful man on the planet but in reality he is, as the rest of the world, even Russia sees, the most pitiful man on the planet

I love Canada and I love all of the Canadian people as an American I feel really bad for you guys because you’re going through what we went through in the Biden administration. It’s gonna get worse until it gets better but it’s up to all of you Canadians to vote the right way next time you need a real man who has power And can deal with your country and puts it first and the citizens first this guy showed up in a Barbie premiere movie wearing the pink outfit that says enough. Trump knows that he needs to go it almost seems like he’s gonna get rid of all the weak leaders so we can have a power for world and bring world Peace. Pray for you guys it will get better but you need to vote him out?

Canadian here- I hate Trudeau just as much as most Canadians, and as it seems most Republican Americans do as well. But I fully stand behind him at this hour. He might have shit the bed for most Canadians during his time as PM, but when it mattered he has stood up for Canada. Review the facts and educate yourself on the current situation between CAN and the US. I will be the first to admit, Canada has not done enough in terms of its own security and military, but these failures should not be the decay in our friendship as nations. The US DOES NOT subsidize Canada, it DOES NOT give money to Canada. In simple terms- the larger country, with the largest economy in the world (USA) buys more from its Northern brother, which produces vast amounts of natural resources which the larger southern country requires. As for the booing seen at most recent sports events in Canada, that is directed at the President, not the average American. I myself would never boo a national anthem, an anthem that millions have sacrificed to protect and defend. But I understand the pain and anger that is coming from my country. We have always been allies, friends, and to most even family. I do hope that in the future our relationship can heal and move forward but the current actions being taken by the American admistration are horrendus and upsetting to most of the world outside of the US. I wish us all the best in the future, be nice to one another, and always remember that the US and Canada have fought, spilled blood, and died alongside one another in the fight for democracy and freedom around the world.

COMPLETE BULLSHIT. Trump is sending busloads of illegal immigrants from NYC and dropping them off at the Canadian border because that's cheaper than legally deporting them. This clown has them going the wrong way. They are counting the illegal immigrants Canada caught and is sending back to NYC by bus. MAGA idiots trying to make Trump the Frump look good.\nWhat these American geniuses should be looking at is:\nD. J. Trump has been a valuable asset to the Russian services for 40 years?\n\nAccording to former Soviet agent Yuri Shewrew, who moved to the U.S. in 1993 and obtained U.S. citizenship, Donald Trump was classified by the KGB as valuable services for forty years. Szłowie, former KGB Major, is currently one of the most important sources in Craig Unger’s book. “The American Comsar.” In addition to this thread, the book examines the president’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, a U.S. financier, who died in 2019.\n\nUnger claims that Trump first interested the Russians in 1977 when he married his first wife, Ivana Zelnickova, a Czech model. At that time, he became the target of a spy operation supervised by Czechoslovak intelligence in cooperation with the KGB. Three years later, when Trump opened his first major Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City, he bought 200 TVs from Siemon Kislin, a Soviet immigrant who co-owner of the electronic company Joy-People at Fifth Avenue. According to Szedema, Joy-People was controlled by the KGB, and Kislin worked as her agent and selected Trump, a young, growing businessman, as a potentially valuable intelligence.\n\nWhen in 1987. Trump and his wife visited Moscow and Leningrad for the first time, the future president held many business meetings, including KGB officers. According to the Sędzim, Russian officials who perfectly identified the narcissism of the interlocutor and his psychological and intellectual weaknesses led a real “offensive of charm”, flattered him and emphasized that his personality made a huge impression on them. They suggested that such a man should deal with politics, that only people like him can change the world. According to Szbla and Unger, Trump was the perfect target for recruitment in many ways, especially because of vanity and narcissism.\n\nTrump almost immediately “entered” a new role, i.e. “joyfully parroted anti-Western propaganda.” Shortly after his return to the United States, he began his efforts among the Republicans to nominate for his candidacy for president, and even organized an election rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On September 1, 1987, he published a full-page ad-icing in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe, in which, among other things, he accused the Alliance of the U.S. and expressing his skeleticism to the U. According to Trump, America should stop paying to defend countries that can defend themselves. Such actions caused real euphoria in the USSR. Trump has already made the same the same theses as president.\n\nTrump's victory in the 2016 election. The Russians accepted with satisfaction. Special investigator Robert Mueller did not detect a conspiracy between members of the Trump staff and the Russians, but revealed at least 272 contacts and 38 meetings with people linked to Russia. The storm told The Guardian that he was disappointed with the investigation because there were no counterintelligence aspects of Trump’s relations with Moscow. According to Unger, Trump was definitely an asset to the Russian services, and his book “will start where Mueller ended.”\n\nSource: The Guardian of 29.01.2021.\n\nMelanija Knavs [now Melania Trump] was born in Novo Mesto, Yugoslavia, now part of present-day Slovenia, on April 26, 1970. Her father Viktor Knavs first worked as a chauffeur, and he eventually sold car parts for a state-owned vehicle manufacturer as he made connections with the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, the national communist party.\n\nWhy do you think Trump is so anti-Ukraine? Putin also has sex tapes showing Trump with adolescent girls in Russia, and Trump also owes Putin billions of dollars.

Int'l law requires/allows: 1. Asylum seekers apply for asylum in the first valid country they enter. 2. Thus, those Asylum seekers entering America from or having passed through Canada or Mexico, etc. can be returned to the last valid asylum allowing country or be returned to any other they passed through... 3. So, it's all legal to deny them consideration...\n>> Any not respecting our laws shouldn't be considered... These students can't complain about the student fee, Housing , food and living cost .\n\nU can blame trudue for lowering the standards for student visa. \n\nTo my knowledge from friends i know as students durring high-school vs students coming to study at college. \n\nPrior to this issue these a few mandatory requirements \n\n- parents most make over 200 k usd , and assets .\n\n- you must have xxx amount in usd dollars equivalent in your bank account and open a HSBC bank account with xxx amount \n\n - u must show you can afford for your child to stay at a mandatory homestay , all the associated cost staying and studying in canada for min 3 years \n\nJust passing the first 3 requirements, most ppl get rejected. \n\n- most leave the home stay due to culture differences and end up renting a 1 bed room condo. \nThat alone back in harper days was 20 k a year.\n\nMind you these students i met are from Vietnam, a 3rd world country where a university graduate with 2 degree will make only $500 usd which is consider a very good job . Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. Even they were allow why would u when ur parents give u their debit card ~ visa card with allowance of 2- 3k to spend .\n\nInwould say 25% of these rich students go home within a year as they get home sick.\n\nToday standards\n\n- not many come as high school students as it's alot harder and still up hold strict standards as their still a minor. \n\n- college is easier route\nOnly have to prove u can afford the 1st. Year of study \n- a place to live\n- your parents can support you while ur here \n\nSo some one in India is faking the documents so they can come over strictly to work and pay for school and living cost. \n\nThis is why we have this problem. Even Vietnamese students doing this but alot work save all their money and go back home after their visa end. \n\nWhat ever they save in 3 years is like 10-20 years plus of saving working in Vietnam as these students are from.poor families barly getting by\n\nWith that being said, studying aboard is a luxury no matter what country ur from.\n\nImaginenthe cost of sending ur kids to the usa for school, most of will have to take. Out loans

Curious if Malaysia would be eager to take Muslims from countries which are not “first world”. If you could throw some light on the visa privilege you enjoyed coming from Canada? Like I could visit Malaysia only for 2 weeks at a time. Oh one more thing, if drag queen is a concern you will be shocked in many parts of Asia too, and how pathetically they deal w third genders.

I have spent quite a bit of time in USA and I always find my experience split. For the most part the people and places are great. As a filmmaker I have shot in NYC, California, Mississippi to name a few. The people were always accommodating and friendly. One time a gentlemen and his wife that allowed us to film in his property would bring us hot chocolate at night, then offered to shoot anyone who got in our way. I was also filming in the desert in 2009 and I almost got shot in the face by a group of police officers that charged in guns out and tempers raging, before realizing that we had film permits and were scheduled to be on site. Only to have the crew say that if I was black they would have shot first and asked questions later. As tensions rise between Canada and USA with Trump's trade war and attempt to ANNEX Canada I think I will do my filming in other parts of the world, if not in Canada. I have plenty of American friends and know a lot of Canadians that live in the US. I just hope things settle between our two nations soon. Where do you live? Interested to see what part of the States you live in.

Trump says EU tariffs will ‘definitely happen’ as Mexico, Canada and China retaliate \nTrump takes softer line on UK, saying ‘I think that one can be worked out’, while Mexico and Canada vow levies and to strengthen ties with each other \n \nPhilip Wen, Léonie Chao-Fong and agencies \nMon 3 Feb 2025 03.57 GMT \nShare \nDonald Trump has threatened to widen the scope of his trade tariffs, repeating his warning that the European Union – and potentially the UK – will face levies, even as he conceded that Americans could bear some of the economic brunt of a nascent global trade war. \n \nIt comes as Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, announced on Saturday, sparked retaliation from all three countries. Mexico and Canada have vowed levies of their own while China and Canada are seeking legal challenges. \n \nTrump said on Sunday night that new tariffs on the EU will “definitely happen”, repeating previous complaints about the large US trade deficit with the bloc and his desire for Europe to import more American cars and agricultural products. \n \nEmpty shelves remain with signs ''Buy Canadian Instead'' after the top five US liquor brands were removed from sale at a British Columbia liquor store in Vancouver. \nAsian sharemarkets tumble in response to Trump tariffs \nRead more \n“It will definitely happen with the European Union, I can tell you that,” he told reporters. “I wouldn’t say there’s a timeline but it’s going to be pretty soon.” \n \nTrump appeared to take a softer line on the UK, citing a good relationship with prime minister Keir Starmer while saying tariffs still “might happen”. “The UK is out of line but I’m sure that one, I think that one can be worked out,” he said. \n \n“Well Prime Minister Starmer’s been very nice, we’ve had a couple of meetings, we’ve had numerous phone calls, we’re getting along very well, we’ll see whether or not we can balance out our budget.” \n \nIn Canada, the department of finance published a list of US products imported into Canada that it will target with a 25% retaliatory tariff starting on Tuesday. \n \nThe list shows products that will be hit in the first round of retaliatory tariffs by Canada starting on Tuesday, and mounts to $30bn Canadian dollars’ worth of goods (about US$20bn). The impacted products include tobacco, produce, household appliances, firearms and military gear. \n \nCanada is also preparing for a second, broader round of retaliatory tariffs in 21 days that will target an additional C$125bn (US$86bn) worth of US imports. The second list would include passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products and more. \n \nFILES-US-CANADA-MEXICO-CHINA-TRADE-TARIFFS<br>(FILES) US President Donald Trump speaks to the press after signing an executive order in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC on January 31, 2025. Washington will impose a 25 percent levy on imports from Canada and Mexico, with a 10 percent rate on Canadian energy resources, until both work with the United States on drug trafficking and immigration. Goods from China, said the White House, would face 10 percent tariffs. (Photo by Mandel NGAN / AFP) (Photo by MANDEL NGAN/AFP via Getty Images) \nTop Democrats warn tariffs will hit Americans hard as Trump says it’s ‘worth the price’ \nRead more \nClaudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president, said her government will provide more details on the retaliatory tariffs she ordered on US goods on Monday. Sheinbaum, in a statement on Sunday, said she will announce details on her government’s “plan B” as she insisted that Mexico “doesn’t want confrontation”. \n \n“Problems are not addressed by imposing tariffs, but with talks and dialogue,” she said. “Sovereignty is not negotiable: coordination yes, subordination no.” \n \n'Coordination yes, subordination no': Mexican president responds to Trump's tariffs – video \nSheinbaum and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone on Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs – 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China. \n \nTrudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated. \n \n“Now is the time to choose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.” \n \nTrump acknowledged the sweeping tariffs he has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China may cause “short term” pain for Americans as global markets reflected concerns the levies could undermine growth and reignite inflation. Asian markets, cryptocurrencies and US and European stock futures slumped in early Asian trading on Monday. \n \n“We may have short term some little pain, and people understand that. But long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world,” he said. day, Trudeau said: “We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada.” However on Sunday evening, a senior government official from Canada briefing reporters in Ottowa on condition of anonymity said: “We will obviously pursue the legal recourse that we believe we have through the agreements that we share with the United States.” \n \nThe official said the Canadian government considered the move by Trump illegal and said it violates the trade commitments between the two countries under their free trade agreement and under the World Trade Organization. \n \n“If other legal avenues are available to us, they will be considered as well,” the official said. \n \nCanada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the US. \n \nCanada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on US goods. \n \nChina also said it would file a lawsuit against the tariffs. The imposition of tariffs by the US “seriously violates” World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, China’s commerce ministry said in a statement, urging the US to “engage in frank dialogue and strengthen cooperation”. \n \nFiling a lawsuit with the WTO would be a largely symbolic move that Beijing has also taken against tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles by the EU. \n \nThe commerce ministry also said the tariffs were “not only unhelpful in solving the US’s own problems, but also undermine normal economic and trade cooperation”. China has said it would take countermeasures to “safeguard its own rights and interests”. It is not clear exactly what form these will take yet. But for weeks Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said Beijing believes there is no winner in a trade war. \n \nLate Sunday night, Trump said he would speak with Trudeau on Monday morning and shortly after said he would speak with Mexico as well, although he did not specify that he would speak with Sheinbaum. \n \nBeyond the official response, people were already thinking of ways to cope with Trump’s decision, including by sharing suggestions on social media for alternatives to US products. \n \nCanadian hockey fans booed the US national anthem on Saturday night at two National Hockey League games. The booing continued on Sunday at an NBA game in Toronto where the Raptors played the Los Angeles Clippers. \n \nFrom left to right, Toronto Raptors forwards Bruce Brown, Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher react as fans boo the United States national anthem before NBA basketball game action against the Los Angeles Clippers in Toronto, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025. (Frank Gunn/The Canadian Press via AP) \nToronto Raptors fans boo US national anthem after Donald Trump tariffs \nRead more \nOne fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly”. “I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying US products. \n \nIn the streets, people in Mexico were trying to absorb the announcement on Sunday, although some in the capital acknowledged that they were unaware of the measures. \n \nIn the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war. \n \nDriver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to US companies. He said he fears US businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the US. \n \n“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

Mr trump on his first day said that he is a peacemaker and want the world to stop the fight. He will stop russia ukraine war etc \n\nSo then he chose to put tariffs on canada and at the end who is going to get sufffer Americans what a joke of a person trump is then saying something and creating problem for own people.\nThe reasons that he is giving of putting tariffs has no relation to tariffs.\nIf he geniunely wants illegal immigrants n drugs to stop in US then rather working on border or asking canadins ministers to put xtra protection on borders \nHe choses tariffs\nTotally nonsense person

Canada really don't understand the equation, they stand nowhere infront of US. They should better comply with Trump to avoid more tariffs or possible sanctions. US can destroy their economy like Iran or Venezuela. Canada has no partners at the world stage, they never invested. \nIf you want to show strength, first build it. Canada is totally at the mercy of US.

shame on you ! putting dust in the public eyes is far more dangerous than harming a person. Why First post have fear @Palki Sharma to show Indian real face? Put your camera down in any country, Name it : Germany, Italy, America , Canada, Australia, Newzeland, Hungary , Amsterdam, UK, Scotland. Palki sharma jist name it and put your camera on ground and do the survey. You will feel Indians are world 3rd country Parasites in these countries. Why Indians fail to show respect and basic hygiene when they are in abroad? Specially Punjabis ! Have you smell them ? Not taking bath and roaming on the streets with bad odour leaves permanent mark on other Indians reputation.(by the way i am from amritsar and a punjabi). NOW WORLD IS KNOWING :- Indians believes that they cannot benefit unless someone else is harmed. This is Indian culture at its core and white people are also knowing this. If India is that great then why Indians are leaving ? If your culture is that superior then why you want to go to other country ? Enjoy your superiority. Accept the reality . TRUTH IS BITTER

There are too many Indians everywhere you go in the world, too many still trying to get out of India. Working in Canada at a fast food restaurant gives someone from India (Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow....) a better standard of living than a middle class living in India. States like UP, Bihar, MP, Rajasthan... still living in 18th century. Gujjus were the first to got out and then Punjabis and then everyone, they damaged the reputation of Indians a lot.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you first came back to Canada making these videos, you seemed unhappy that things cost more in Canada than in a developing country, I think it was Vietnam? If a person is lucky enough to be able to work around the world online and maintain the same wages of course developing countries will be cheaper. For people who live in Vietnam, the average monthly wage is $424 Canadian. The average wage in Canada is $5,607 so developing countries are cheaper if you are making North American style wages. Best of luck finding a place with lower crime, lower poverty, and a quality of life you enjoy.

Parents get 1 year of paid maternal/paternal leave in Canada. America is one of the only first world countries that you aren't guaranteed paid time off after having a child

canada an usa are about the only first world countries that provide unrestricted birthright citizenship... Nowhere does it exist in europe or asia.. If USA removed unrestricted birthright citizenship, then only Canada remains.

I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. The government has its grip on every aspect of Canadian life, it has hindered the responsiveness of the economy so much, that it cant even pivot to take advantage of free capital (int’l students) and third world labor rates (temp foreign workers).

…OHHHH CANADA ?? ✨?????????….\n\n….Canadians are not proud of anything. I have lived here for many years, and people are sad, insecure, and afraid; they do not feel good about their reality! This is NOT me saying it; it is the feeling of the real Canadians themselves.....????????…..\n\n….They filled their society with people from the third world without telling them how to handle this; they were not educated about that. ???????‍?️??…..\n\n….Canadians tell me that the little Canadian talent goes to countries that are genuinely first-world. Therefore, there is only the average Canadian in Canada, who the Canadians themselves say is very mediocre and do not like effort. They feel threatened by foreign talent and become even more insecure because they see themselves overwhelmed by third-world people whom they consider inferior.??????????‍↔️????‍?????……\n\n….And how, in reality, they are racist at heart since white supremacy is encrypted in their soul, institutions, and everything. This causes them even more frustration because they cannot be better than the poor third-worlders who discriminate so much...?????????????????????????????……\n\n….Oh, Canada❤️! On the verge of collapse....\n\n….We love Canada ?? and we wish them the best…..✨❤️?????????????……

First of all Canada and America are European colonization countries. Because of their sense of superiority they managed to genocide and wipe out the culture of the indigenous natives of that place and replace it with their own. To say Indians from India is taking away their culture is so strange....the recent media attacks about Indians experiencing racism in Canada and all Indians being unlawful in Canada has been orchestrated by Tredue and the racist Canadian government against India and Indians because of geopolitics. The west has always used media to make the whole world look down on India and many places that fought back against white supremacy. Everyone needs to correct themselves, not only Indians as the way the flaws of Indians has been exaggerated beyond words to condone their prejudice and spoilt rotten entitled behaviour.

Canada is not a first world country. It is just not worth it. Many prospective immigrants got trapped believing that there are many opportunities here. But now there are enough videos & info to deter high quality immigrants from coming here.

This is my first time watching your content. It saddens me that you've come to feel as you do. I'm 72 YO and had the good fortune to be born among people who had survived a world war. They knew bullshit when they heard it. I served in the Canadian Army 1968-74. Like you, I've been a lot of places, and seen a lot of things. I do casual work at McMaster and interact with a lot of people. It feels like somebody else's country. Everyone seems so ignorant of our history. Worse, my Jewish friends no longer feel safe here. The Canada that I served so proudly as a soldier no longer exists. We could liquidate and leave, but these colours don't run.

Since the Canadian government thinks we Canadians born in Canada are all criminals, without a trial in a court of law to determine this, the Canadian government wants to replace us all with brown immigrants mostly from Iran. I guess the crime rate in Iran must be the lowest in the world. That's why most of the immigrants coming into Canada are Iranian. I am currently unemployed and am always the first to get fired while my brown coworkers from Iran remain employed. I really think it's time for affirmative action for Canadians born in Canada. I am getting tired of living with my parents at the age of 55.

A significant driver of Canada’s housing affordability problem is the treatment of housing as an investment rather than a basic human need. Housing has increasingly been treated as an investment rather than just a place for people to live. Homes are seen as vehicles for wealth accumulation rather than places to live. This approach has attracted large institutional investors (multinational corporations) who buy up properties, raising prices and squeezing out potential homeowners, especially first-time buyers. This problem iget worse because of the use of homes as a tax shelter, benefiting those with capital to invest in markets like Vancouver and Toronto. Greed and profit. Failure of our government to ignore this issue and dodge their obligation of providing a country where Canadians can live reasonable and thrive. Unfortunately it's happening around the world. Immigrants are NOT causing the problem. They are the scapegoat.

Immigration is ongoing Colonization. And Canadians are MAD, because you have allowed for people from countries with HIGH RATES of pro-sexually violent cultural views, and low standards of hygiene and politeness into our country. And you let them come here as students and take up first world spots for first world Canadians. And FYI, there is tons of sexual violence on university campuses…so that tracks. \nYou let these people who are anti-dark skin into the country, and then you say because they are “racialized” they can’t be racist. That’s not how racism works, and I want my racists to be domestic, because then at least we share a cultural thread of unity: Canadian born and raised. Why are we being subjected to this B.S?? \nGOC has not created a way for us to report immigrants who are rude or abusive to Canadians, and who have over-stayed their visas. DEPORT THEM. When they commit crimes, instead of deporting them, you let them stay. They’re old women are also crooks and in on it. Imagine bringing the people who call and scam from Indian and Nigeria to Canada so they can just do it from here. Wild. And the Chinese (not Asians, I mean the Chinese)…are the colonizers of their part of the world, AND they cheat in schools. So you’re giving graduates spots to cheaters, liars, anti-Canadian, and racists. Canada never had a diversity problem, we had a supremacy problem, and we still do. And Canadian DOES NOT MEAN WHITE. So stop making this a race thing. \nYou let them snap up our houses and our land and jack up the prices, and force us into homelessness and prostitution to pay rent, and into drug addictions because of a lack of purpose. So the GOC literally just implemented the same strategy they used to place indigenous people onto reserves, but now it’s for all Canadians. And make no mistake: high rents for bento-box “luxury”/rat infested housing are min-reserves that are not built for Canadian bodies or our aging/disabled population. \nDEPORT THEM AND REFRAIN FROM GIVING THESE ANCHOR BABIES CITIZENSHIP. If they come here to have their babies, instead of giving them a Canadian birth certificate, you should be getting that certificate from their consulate. Cause at this point that’s just trafficking and financial fraud/abuse. We all know they come here to get the benefits and the domestic tuition, and a lot go right back to China. And it does seem to be the Chinese, Indians, and Nigerians (a lovely EDI mix) of thieves. \nCanada has spoken, we don’t want them, we don’t like them; and they do not like us, they want us out of our own country. This isn’t a racial issue; this is a cultural issue. You cannot have these anti-West people in our western nation. They gotta go. And who cares about the international students anymore or the money “they bring in”. Universities are registered not-for-profits in Canada, so the for-profit argument can’t track. \nCanada needs a RICO law so we can more easily seize their assets and expel them, and hold universities to the fire for this crap, and the government officials getting kickbacks. The GOC is the largest human trafficking pimps, and the universities are bottom bi***es. And don’t think we don’t know that the 30% cap DOESN’T apply to companies like Navitas who recruit for the universities, are housed in the universities, but are separate, private companies.
