If you are an American citizen and you are siding with Canada, you are a TRAITOR!!! As an American, a woman of African descent and an immigrant, I 100% understand why my President has taken the hard but necessary decisions that he took. It is time for other citizens of the world to realize that the USA is NOT HEAVEN, and America is NO SANTA CLAUS!!! This country has wayyyyy tooo many problems to continue with the foolish foreign and economic policies that we have pushed in the past...CNN it is about time you start speaking truth!!!

This actually is a benefit to both Canada and America and creates domestic industry. More then 75% of Canadian exports don't even go to the USA. Canada, America and Russia have the most resources independently from each other then any other countries in the world. Thankfully he's talking about the drug problem but not the visa scandal and illegal mass immigration problem that's collapsing the social assistance and medical systems. Its gonna be tough as you justify raising prices by selling out every Canadian citizen to foreign investment.

As a EU citizen i welcome Canada to the EU, i know they are considering to Join the United States of Europe, and they have borders with one of our Union States, Denmark with Denmark's province: Greenland, and so they are more than qualified and welcome to join our United States of Europe.\nI know Canada is shifting its trade, it had previously with the USA to EU, and we welcome our new partner in trade aswell, Everything that you previously had from the USA can be now provided by Europe, and with No tarifs at all.\nWelcome Canada to the EU! Trump's going to bankrupt the U.S. just as he has many of his businesses. As an American, I can't wait to move up to Canada. I'm absolutely embarrassed to be a born and raised American citizen. Compare Trump and Mr Trudeau purely on their demeanour and the words that they speak. Mr Trudeau has demonstrated here that he is a skilled statesman, he can speak coherently and powerfully. He's not spouting ridiculous insults in the face of Trump's tariffs. He may have fallen out of favour in Canada, but as a British citizen looking in, he stands head and shoulders above Trump and Vance. Thank you for your service Mr Trudeau.

From an American citizen, GIVE TRUMP HELL CANADA!!! Please make new trade partners and new alliances. Cut the US out and off completely. This is going to hurt Americans very badly, as you say. This is NOT about fentanyl. This NOT about money and how much each country was giving whom. We had a respectable trade deal that we were following, previously signed by Trump. We have always had a positive relationship together, business-wise and friendship-wise. Please also realize that, once your administration is no longer in control of our narratives in such a destructive manner, or it gets replaced by one that reverses this destructive policy, we will definitely reconsider our former relationship and we will work towards rebuilding it. \n\nIt is unfortunate for both sides here. We are aware of that. But “Canada Strong” is our way to remain forever a sovereign and free nation. Nothing more, nothing less. Always remember that.

As a citizen of the U.S. I would encourage all world leaders to stand strong and RESIST these bully tactics to destroy long standing and invaluable allied friendships.
