I think this is a wonderful idea. I truly feel most Muslims would be happier living in Muslim countries. Muslims who come to Western countries, and want to try to change them, are fighting a loosing battle and it just makes it so unpleasant for everyone. The two cultures do not mix at all, so unless you can, or want, to assimilate into the society….. it is always better to move to the place that fees like home, and has the values you want to pass on to your children. I wish more Muslims in the Western nations would take your lead. Best of luck to you on your journey.

As a Canadian, born and raised, I am much more proud to be a Canadian than if I were to be a U.S. or U.K. citizen, given the way they are regarded in most of the word. I have travelled Europe extensively, Central America, as well as parts of SE Asia. \n\nCanada is indeed expensive and has become moreso because we too easily accept the rising prices, just so we can feel good being a Canadian. Tipping culture is ridiculous, even for bad service, many feel the need to tip 15% because of fear of being regarded as a cheapskate or avoiding offending the service provider. Companies should be paying their staff a better wage where 20%+ tips are not expected for every restaurant, cafe or delivery service. We're helping corporations make more profit by subsidizing their staffing expense. This isn't the case in most of the world. \n\nMy eyes were opened when I saw how you can live an equally good life at a third or less of the cost and I have grown open to the idea of living elsewhere once I have enough money to retire early (I'm talking around 55) and enjoy life without feeling cash-strapped. World class private medical care can be found for prices that are unbelievable and without the multiple appointments and wait times.\n\nI will always be a Canadian first, but there is room for a second citizenship or a backup plan should living in Canada become an impossible place to live or retire, unless you begin with a financial advantage. By no means am I poor, either. I got lucky with both real estate and stocks. Yet, I feel like I am working to just get by, while being taxed well beyond what I am getting in return.

I hope it worked out for you man… as a Canadian, I can say that as much as Canadians love to pretend like we’re super open and welcoming, that’s largely not the case. I’ve witnessed some really disgusting treatment of immigrants first hand, and I have a lot of friends/ coworkers who are immigrants from Latin America and the Middle East, and I’ve heard a lot from them about the micro aggressions that they get from Canadians everyday, the dirty looks they get when speaking their native languages in public, and the immense pressure to assimilate. What you were saying about feeling like you’re always reminded that you’re an outsider in Australia, I also hear that a lot from immigrants here in Canada… I hope that Canada can be a better place for you, and you can feel more at home here, but the u fortunate truth is that the idea that Canadians just welcome immigrants with open arms and that everyone is welcome here is largely a myth… a lot of Canadians unfortunately are just xenophobic, racist, nationalistic dickheads and they’re not shy about it

Just a note, if the countries that you are considering, you have only visited as a tourist, a longer stay (maybe 6 months or so) may give you a better idea on what it actually is like.\n\nI am from (or rather, my family is, and I still have a majority of my family in) one of the countries you mentioned, and while every single thing you mention about it is true, many of the reasons you are choosing to leave Canada for is also applicable, though it may not be apparent to a visitor.\n\nPulling out and setting new roots are never easy, even if it may be the right choice. Not going to watch whole video.. Everything else somehow today's reality but real reason is 84 only, young youth from many left India and there dollars in India turned rest of family's fortunes... And Punjabi have a habbit of getting better of next door neighbors they followed the suit. I don't like Toronto. Tired of the rude people and too many immigrants and high rent. It is overcrowded. People push you to get on board the train and refuse to wait for the next train. I would rather work remotely and yes it is not worth living in. Transportation is not as reliable and too many people travelling downtown and back uptown especially during rush hour. If GoTransit breaks down, there aren't that many alternative options to travel. There are many issues including Internet service is not stable. Yes the pay is not enough yet to cover the cost for a place. They want to build more housing in Toronto but it is the worst idea and will make it even more unaffordable. Smaller towns and other cities are better. Bramption also is not a recommended place to move to. Immigration should be recommending people to live in less populated places.

Toronto can do better, perhaps hire a Singaporean team of retired urban planners and a few architects. There is definitely enough land in Canada to do some amazing stuff. Also expand on that light rail system, Singapore got their Mass Rapid Transit idea from Canada decades ago and it's a shame to see Toronto fall behind like this.

I’m a Kenyan American and this is my two cents….Moving abroad for better opportunities is actually not a bad idea but people need to understand that you need the right papers and an actual skill to make it….I’ve lived in Europe, America and the Middle East over the years, the hard pill to swallow is all this places will give you a job depending on the kind of passport you carry. I’ve had the same skill and the minute I got my naturalization and finally carry an American passport…there are job offers all over. My African peeps get yourself a good skill and become very good at it….that will get your foot through the door

Haaa 1.25 lacs is more than enough to live in India. Seems like this guy never lived in a bigger city. Also he is saying go to winnipeg and deadmonton ? he has no idea how harsh the winters are in those places . Most of the newbies taking drivers job causing major accidents every now and then which becomes a nationwide news ends up drivers being at fault with the last name 99% Singh or brar! Yes this is sad for the individual. But we have all seen the marbles ted talk. If you haven't it is basically the idea that the US can only take a drop in the bucket when it comes to immigrants. Even if we took the same percentage as Canada did, its still nothing compared to the amout of people trying to get in. It is better for thier home country for them to live here for a little bit and go back. The US essentially only takes the best and brightest people from other countries. People that could be making their home countries a better place to be.

I’m with my fellow Canadians, I’ll visit the US (although even then, it’s beginning to look less and less ideal) but over my dead body would I live there. \nThe fact you have become desensitized and don’t discuss school shootings is baffling. 4 or 5 years ago, there was a shooting where I live in Canada. The whole city was on lock down. I believe one elderly woman died, and 3 were injured. The person was caught, arrested, and is rotting away in jail. It hasn’t happened since. People still remember it. My little sister and I were scared, so we hid in my bedrooms closet. (It was on the second floor, and there was no way anybody could break in and get up there easily.)\n\nHealthcare is a huge issue. My family has a long line of health issues, and with that in mind, the risk is just to obscene.\n\nI am a woman. The fact that laws are being stripped away from us by old white men who have no idea what it is like to be a woman in the states is horrifying. \n\nGun culture. It’s near-on impossible or at least it’s incredibly difficult to get guns here. Owning guns isn’t respected. When people die from being shot, it’s remembered and spoken about, even years later. At least to me, it seems you care more for your Guns and the rights to own and use them, then Women who want to have bodily autonomy.\n\nYour political issues. I don’t even know what to say at this point beyond. The entire senate is rich old straight white men who like to make laws about groups they aren’t part of, and strip laws away from others. You basically have two polar opposite sides of the political spectrum and that alone, divides people so deep they can’t even be in the same room for more then 10 seconds.\n\n\nI’m Part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Enough said. \n\nI’m well aware that not everyone in the US is like this. But in my eyes, that’s more then enough to deter me. I’m glad you decided to take a look at this, and see our reactions to the questions. And I’m glad you didn’t take offence to the harsh or bitter answers. Sure Canada isn’t perfect, but it’s better in enough ways to keep me much preferring staying here.

The migrants that I know, have better jobs than me. They don’t live in housing and are not on food stamps. They are not eligible for that assistance anyway because they were not born here and they make way more than allowed to be eligible. My neighbor is a migrant worker and he works in the pipeline industry. I have no idea how he got a job like that so quick. I work in retail as a service writer and maintenance guy.

I don't understand the obsession of going abroad for studies. Sure we should go abroad for work. But for studies? A much better idea is to take your education from India and work hard.

These people got the wrong idea from others already in the country. Now they think that they are “also” entitled.\nThat is why is better to prevent a problem before starting, or put a stop to it quickly as soon as it begins. If not, it will get out of hand. And that’s with everything in life.

I have a fix to all this. Make every American that came from a legit system, and grand parents, and parents who came legally back 4 generations count only and offspring.. No Tno anchor babies allowed from anyone who came illegally past 4 generations, record department can validate all this. All natural born and maybe been legally also count. Ok, everyone mentioned get mandated to wear a tamper proof wristband linked to ownership and picked up from the DMV and the bands are electronically active for six months, if cut it sends a signal RFID signal for warranted arrest. Everyone with a band can go to work, shop, travel and it's only temporary for 6 months then gets legally removed. All illegals can register on the way out and need grabbed to cube back through the front door if they have no violent or theft charges or rape/assault felonies. Temp residents/work Visas get a band too. Bring in NATO and our military to start operation clean sweep, we offer bus rides back and ditched air flights back to what ever country you can't from, the sweep comes from N.S.E.W. circling in..if caught after having a chance to leave and didn't you will have a index finger on left hand cut off as a marker for being a invader to our homeland along with a RFID microchip embedded into the wrist bone, the chip will signal in the future if you even get with in 500 miles to border and all airports coming into America. Solar drones charge and patrol the border in drives 24/7. All who participated can get in line to come back as long as clean record mentioned prior. Finish the wall using 9 billion dollars we save each year by removing All illegal from our prisons and send them back chipped and marked by missing finger...THIS IS THE ONLY ONLY ONLY WAY TO EVER CLEAN AMERICA UP!!!!! MANDATE THIS A.S.A.P. This is the only thing that will every week and send the message to the world ? This is my idea!!! Canada big ups. Definitely, when I have been to the states, the racial segregation was one of the biggest surprises. Being from Toronto, you'll legit have every culture within 1 floor of 1 apartment building. Then go to like Jersey, and not see a single black person in an entire neighborhood. I REALLY like the diversity of Canada, at least in the big cities. Happy to be raising our daughter here, we actually went out of our way to ensure the daycare we put her in was pretty diverse. \nNow, in our small towns, shit gets a little.... I don't wanna say RACIST per se, but definitely a lack of cultural diversity. Annnnd maybe a bit racist lol. \n\nBesides that, our Universal healthcare is definitely one of the reasons I am proud to be Canadian. It's not perfect, but Canadians don't even understand the idea of medical bankruptcy. Like, how could anyone be against the idea of having a system that gets rid of that? Because taxes go up? Like, we all get old and sick at some point. You DO get that money back with the healthcare you receive eventually, and in the long run, pay less per capita than places with private healthcare. It's like being against your pension. Makes no damn sense to me. \n\nLastly, I gotta throw a little shade on the overly patriotic nature of Americans. Like, the US makes great entertainment. If your video discourages a few day-dreamin', ill prepared candidates to move to Canada, all the better. We already have our share of whining, self-centered or never-satisfied Canadians of all origins. Now, please note that the much vilified Quebec legislation prohibiting Muslim women to wear a hijab when working in the civil service has a much wider aim. In fact, it prohibits all State employees to wear religious sign - whether it be a Christian cross or a Sikh kirpan, while working. Whether one thinks it is a good idea or not, the law's objective is to uphold the neutrality of the State - not to discriminate against Muslim women.

Thank you for that insight about life in Canada.\nActually, I'm ah Ugandan working in Qatar now I'm in my third year. Last week my friend brought up a thought of trying out a job in Canada. It hit me hard that I loved the idea. But the next day, I took a very deep thought about the grass always seeming greener at the other side. I noticed here in Qatar life is not what I had anticipated, why now risk of going to Canada with the same hopes of a better life and pay? I discussed it with my wife back home (Uganda) and told her I would rather stay in Qatar and focus then go back home as my children need me more than they need the money I think I will get. There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! The Nomad life most of you like, is killing a country spirit and Culture and it's no longer feasible in modern society, since the lands have borders and names and inhabited by people that value a sedentary life. The idea of people going to the foreign countries to get their passport so they can travel the world, sounds so individualistic...which Nation can develop with that kind of thinking of their citizens?....definitely not yours.

I agree that it is boring, cold, expensive, high tax high services, I mean people didn’t work for a year and got paid plenty for nothing. Taxes are incremental based on income as they should be. Coming from a major Latin American city, you have no idea what it is to live under fear of assault or harm at any moment, having corrupt politicians, police, and people in general. You are privileged having been born here because it is much easier to make a living, with good laws, you should go to places where people drink on the streets and pee and shit everywhere. I’m sure there are better places in the world but you will never feel like at home, and each place will have it’s own difficulties. I don’t think we all need to live in the same place but don’t believe that you are able to move to any place in the world if you weren’t Canadian.

MY ADVICES: Racism happens because of FRUSTRATION and deeper psychological issues and it is always about the abuser or the bully (for me BULLY = LOSER = FRUSTRATED = UNHAPPY), not the victim! They probably wanted to become judges, engineers, diplomats or prominent and successful lawyers but very unfortunately, life has failed them so badly that they end up doing a job and living the empty and useless life that they in fact, entirely dislike! In a nutshell, racist people are just people who have a bad life, a life that kills them, a life that eats them and burns them! Fortunately, for the victims, lawyers exist and if gone too far, press charges if your have been mistreated in an unjust way;! Also in case of abuse, record everything… record the image or if u cannot, record the voice (if going out late at night, it might be a good idea to have a microphone constantly turned on just in case an abuse happens) as you can use those as evidence later on and talk to a loud mouth and experienced lawyer !!! Do never let losers walk in you feet’s… ever! By the way, I am Belgian who has lived and worked a few years in many countries, including Africa…. So I have a better idea of what is the perspective down there!

IF YOU are victim of racism: \n1. Take the names of the racist place or club \n2. Rate the club 1 star \n3. Write a review or comment describing the racism\nAND IF YOU WANT TO DO MORE\n1. Create a blog and post the videos, and write short but striking comments on each\n2. Make the blog fly by publishing it everywhere!!!\n\nIf racism happens in the street, use your phone and take videos to record the event if you can or take a voice record of it. If necessary, contact a lawyer, it is a better idea than going to see the police yourself particularly in some European countries\nLast advice… just get your degree from Europe as it is cheaper but do not stay there: look for other alternatives to immigrate elsewhere!\nDo this anywhere if racism happens in Asia or India!

The tests with the three friends, I'm not saying the racism it exposed doesn't exist, but I'm curious if attractiveness or character plays a factor in this as well (or even more). Getting different rental prices is outrages. Being stalked in a store is just weird, but a couple of checks I wouldn't mind. If nothing ever happens that will stop. Being asked if you can be helped should not be an issue. Although I admit it can be annoying (I rather shop without interference), but as long as they ask politely, being offended by it is your own problem. As for the hiring part is this video, I believe there might be even more discrimination based on age. I like the idea of blind hiring when possible. Being rated on skills is in the best interest of any party. \n\nAs a society we're making good progress on a lot of levels. There is still ground to gain, but let's also celebrate what has already been achieved in the last couple of generations. Social media makes it look like it's only bad, but don't forget that bad news sells better than good news. And all companies (also news companies) want to make money.

Both me and my wife have Master’s degrees. Problem is I got a CLB 8 band getting us a totalk CRS score of 402 only. I wanted to write IELTS again but not able to get test dates here in the USA; earliest is May 2021. \nNow, I also know of two other ways of improving CRS; PNP from Alberta and BC Tech Program.\nHere are a few questions popping in my head:\nWould it be a good idea to create an Express Entry profile with 402 score and wait for Alberta to pick us for PNP? \nWhat happens if I submit my Express Entry profile and later I get a better IELTS score and want to submit that profile?\nI’m obviously using the Alberta PNP only for PR, so what are restrictions on us to stay/work in Alberta? Our plan is settle down in Vancouver, BC. \nI just found out about the BC Tech program from one of your videos and planning to prepare and apply for jobs there. There is lot of emotion in this piece, but not very much context or fact. Indigenous people suffer from addictions and mental illness more than the rest of Canada due -inter generational trauma, and resulting loss of dignity. While racism exists today, even if we were to eradicate entirely, indigenous people would still need help due to the damage done in the past. The solution is not fomenting more bitterness and resentment. This is not an easy fix and indigenous people need to be part of it. We need to find a solution where they can rediscover their identity, foster healthy norms within their own nation, while also being part of this nation. Look up Durkheim. Defunding the police is an utterly idiotic idea. Police need more training, and hence more funding, to help them do a better job.

Of course the anti-muslim culture is getting worse. They come into this country, yet don't embrace the country they choose to call home. Ban their dress code, (we wear pajamas at night, not while shopping), take the veils off the women's heads and faces (like they don't allow Western dress in their rat-infested countries). But a better idea - KEEP THEM OUT which will keep this country clean.

Here's an idea!! Why not apply to enter a better country through the standardized legal channels like millions of other immigrants??? The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

To all the people saying why dont these immigrants stay in their county to make it better---here is a little think piece because i used to say the same thing\n\ni used to say the same thing but we are blindsighted by your american privilege. My parents are immigrants and i told them the same thing, why dont people stay to make their country better? And they flat out told me it will get you killed. Americans have no idea how coniving amd evil leaders in other countries can be. Just the other day, a dictator from eritrea was bargaining prices with Israel to send back refugees from his country. He said the refugees fleeing his regime should be given 50k to be deported from isreal because they risked their lives. You would think he really meant that right? As soon as those refugees come back hes taking that money and sending them to a forced slavery like military program. There is no such thing as human rights. So if you were in such a dire situation, dont you think you would do anything to get out? The only solution i see is if the entire world could be under a larger, strong governing force that keeps leaders in check and can withold vital resources from offenders. The UN isnt cutting it.

There is still a lot of work to do, because there are too many black men and women who suffer from low self esteem and they believe the only way to cure such low self esteem is by inter marrying. What they fall to realize is that their kids will be black and they will undergo the same problems so why not stick to your race and fight the problem instead of running which doesn’t help. Anyway, peace to all my brothers and sisters out there. Let us continue to build by remaining positive. God made us who we are. No other race is better than us. Let us not even entertain such idea. This is the psychology that the enemy have used in the past to destroy the minds of our ancestors, but yet our ancestors were strong enough to produce generations. Today we don’t have the struggles of our ancestors, that means we should do even better.
