Well I have heard rumors that the Citizens of Mexico have had enough of the cartels. Now this is coming from a source I’m not to trustworthy but it’s safe to know than not knowing. So I have heard that the people have been warned that starting today there where going to be groups a so called vigilantes going round warning store owners or anyone who owns business to close down their business at a curfew date. For if the see them open they will get lifted (kidnapped) and killed. Supposedly that the cartels want to start charging the elderly for their monthly pension funds (their way of social security benefits) also they want to start charging a fee for almost everything to the people. So maybe that’s why they are trying to escape the war that’s bout to happens with the mass vigilantes and the cartels they a war bout to start.

My parents came illegally but became citizens thru the amnesty from Bill Epstein i mean Clinton, i was born here in California, even though i love my Mexican heritage i still think this is wrong, we need more border control but we also need to be able to make it easier for the good people to come here legally. Donald trump was not racist he was speaking the truth alot of these immigrants are bringing drugs over alot of them are bad people who will cause alot of problems over here for us thats why we need a screening process but a better one than we have now because the one we have now is very expensive and takes way too long, we could use the extra labor from people who want to come and actually work. There’s also more Chinese immigrants than mexican so we need to get a hold of that too , but these Central Americans trying to come in the country alot of them are gang members and most of them are poor and have no resources so when they get here they will become gang members and cause problems because they have no structure and thats all they know. They really need to do something about this. This is disgusting, this is not the right way trying to barge your way into our country is not the way to go

There shouldn't be any barriers to travel as all people have the right to travel anywhere in the world! I want to get the ACLU do a class action lawsuit to stop this violating peoples right to travel!

As a teen right now that has immigrant parents all I can say this is not what I expected from immigrants I know that they want freedom and a better life but this not what they should’ve done to get into America yes I know they struggle but you just can’t force yourself into getting what you want this is just wrong but I do wish the best for these people to be able to hopefully achieve a better future for themselves

The word is out around the world, if you can get to Mexico you can get in the united states. It's our current Biden/Harris administration fault. Its also a security issue. Let's not pretend that there's no more terrorist cells out there that still hate America. I live in southern Arizona. In the past two yrs they've apprehended near the border over 100 middle eastern men who are on u.s. terrorist watch lists and no fly lists. Hmmmm i wonder why they want to get here so bad? Also, cartels are loving this open border as well.. flooding our communities with drugs. Good job Biden/Harris administration.. I'd be embarrassed to admit voting for them in 2020!!

idk about you guys but that is not the kind of people i would even want in my country. my parents immigrated too but never expected hand outs nor did they ever recieve financial aide of any kind. why give our taxpayer dollars to these people when we are not even taking care of our own people? people that they themselves have paid into the system. i have also worked with them and its been the worst experience. they dont want to do the work right and get offended when you try to coach them. they show up to work to recieve a check but dont come to work to work. they are people that just expect things to be given to them because thats how it used to be when venezuela was rich off oil. its sad that this is how they represent their people

I feel sorry for these people but at the same time they’re country’s need to get there fucking act together. This war torn 3rd world crap can go on no longer. People call the u.s the u.k etc war mongers? Well take a look at this right now. We have tried over the years to put your country’s straight but you didn’t want that help. I'm homeless, Navy Veteran and work full time. If housing programs can't help homeless Americans, how can we help immigrants. I want a home too. Update: I'll elaborate more on my situation. I served for four years. I lost my job as an Uber driver in 2018 after my car got repossessed. I live with my fiance who has PTSD from her family upbringing. She tries to work but she doesn't last long. We have gone to 3 different housing programs and they prove to be unhelpful. You make too much money from working they can't help you, if you make too little money they can't help you. WTF!!! All housing that is offered is usually in areas that are in high theft and homeless areas. People steal from you and you up right back in the streets. One program helped me become a fully trained security guard. We have also been in two car accidents, none were our fault. But now I'm stuck just living in a car and working full time. After I work all night I drive around at gas stations, asking people for money for gas and food. Every check I get goes to gas, food and bills. We manage our money wisely. Our money last a day and then we have to go straight back to asking for money again. Everyone I have asked for help is always a broken promise. I don't know what to do anymore.

To all the people in the comments upset with poor, desperate, people with no power instead of the American government that has undoubtedly destabilized these countries to the point where their citizens are fleeing to other countries…know that you are angry with the wrong people!\n\nThese people just want better lives for their families! That should cause everyone to question why they want to leave? Is there something we can do to support change in their countries so they don’t want to leave? Can we advocate for that in our politics? Is there something we can do to make housing more affordable? There isn’t a housing shortage, we have 600,000 homeless with millions of vacant homes! Can we advocate for the rights of people over giant real estate companies like Blackstone gobbling up houses and apartments, making them unaffordable before we scream that there aren’t houses for these people?!\n\nThe complete lack of effort around finding a solution is mind blowing to me! Everyone just resorts to basically saying they should all be kicked out!! Why can’t we find a solution? I just don’t get why this is such a controversial issue! Kicking them out or criminalizing them is just sweeping the issue under the rug. It doesn’t solve the problem, meaning after a while they will come back and we will be right back where we started. \n\nI guess I just feel like there should be a little more compassion and problem solving when talking about immigration!

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I live in El Salvador, but I've been thinking about moving somewhere in North America. The US is cool but, I don't want to run across all of the salvadorans who are already there LOL, I want something new. Also, I'd like to still live in, or at least not very far away, from the Americas. I'm too lazy to go to Europe, and have to learn the language there, sorry, I already speak Spanish and English well enough. Only Japan, or Brazil may change my mind, language wise (my Portuguese is enough so I could get by, and I'm also a Japanese music aficionado).\n\nOn the other hand, I love dressing very flamboyant, and, seeing how Canadians wear in the winter, with those huge sweaters and winter clothing, I wonder if it's the place for me ? (I know, that's a very ridiculous concern), also, I don't know if I'd get used to long winters. I've always said I don't like Salvadoran heat, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to trade that for Canadian winters.

It's such b******* that our country doesn't put a stop to this b*******. Americans are having a hard enough time as it is with housing, rent, food, we are just getting COVID under control - These other countries don't vaccinate. Folks can't read English, they want to drive, they don't get insurance - sorry I'm against it I think the border wall needs to go up and stay up, increase border security -They don't respect our laws.

We have such a porous border in Canada. Problem is Justin Trudeau and his pack of corrupt Liberals want more and more “refuges” not skilled....with an education coming into Canada. You see....people who vote Liberal are morons...the “free stuff” they get from the Liberals are paid for with more and more Liberal taxes. Liberal voters think Justin dips into a trust fund or something...yes Liberal voters are really that stupid....they don’t realize more Liberals mean more wasteful taxes. So Justin wants refugees...who he can put on welfare for their lives, become citizens, AND bring in dozens of their relatives to begin the process again....why because they vote Liberal in perpetuity. We are never going to break this cycle. Where is the line to emigrated to the United States.....oh, I’m educated with a masters degree. Not valued in Canada, because I was born here, and I’m white....I feel so ashamed!

Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

People who think this is about Republicans vs Democrats don't have a clue and are just going with their biases. Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any other president (more than Trump I believe), Trump stiffened up the border, and Biden made measures to actually make it tougher for these Venezuelan immigrants to get into the US once the migrant herd was moving north. This is a result of Venezeula and their economic collapse. If it happened sooner, it would've happened during Trump's time. I'm sure once Biden is out and a republican is president (looks that way), they'll try it again. Even Mexico doesn't want them since they have their economic issues to deal with.

My family and I came here over 20 years ago. We have done everything!. Taxes my family opened their own business they have been a example of a American people. We even met people who are maga hats but loved my family because their humble ways but also how welcoming they are. Now this people are fucking entitled! I came to this country and slept in a room with 14 people. This people want their own rooms ,housing for one family. I was so happy when my family helped me out and I got my first boots I was rocking them like you wouldn't imagine. They literally get money, housing,carry iphones. The fuck is wrong with the government. Yes help them ,but first help the people who have been here before

Canada is soo weird. University students who spend 100k+ on education and are in the Canadian system are having problems getting residency, whereas shady people who get here illegally or get residency by immoral do it without much problem. I mean not even illegals but some south asians who are literally scamming and exploiting the system, have no problem and then when you take people from very low income class enter your country and who do uncivilized things you are astonished what else you are expecting a lot of them are uneducated who are not civilized, make your screening process better, if you want immigrants due to labour shortages and slow population increase, try to incorporate students and potential people who have more chances to fit your society. This trend will lead to an anti-immigrant narrative. We have seen a similar trend in Europe. They took the worst people in who were problematic in their countries to begin with

One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

They fight to come in but won’t fight for their own country…? That’s the total opposite of the American spirit. We don’t want someone like that hear. Turn your asses around and get a job. No more hand outs and free stuff from our hard earned taxes(stolen money). Then a lot of these ppl if they do work send it right back to their country and don’t spend their money in America those a lot of self owned businesses could use. Like we need them for sure. But not that many and not like that. I wish we could do a study where only liberals get to live in an area with their rules and only conservatives with their rules in a different spot. On the libs side You would have homeless ppl every, no cops, no locked doors since they want open boarders, the government controlling your every move, guys in girls bathroom(creeps included), 70-90% taxes, segregation since they think ppl of color should have their own spaces. Only criminals with guns and since no police that would be tough. \n\nAnd the conservative side would be like America only more freedom, barely any tax if any, guns everywhere so you can protect yourself, closed boarder but do it legal way more than welcome. And little things like higher speed limits, cheap gas. Yes and if these people truly believed in God and Jesus they wouldn't run from their countries but actually stay on the ground and stand strong in their faith that God and Jesus are going to help them persevere through all this. As a fully disabled American citizen with a child that doesn't even get $1,000 a month and there's no available housing at all where I live no waiting list to go on people on SSI disability don't get any extra housing help we're not offered separate housing are put on separate lists and low-income Able Body people or the migrants jumping the Border but I was born and raised here paid taxes and worked until my body literally couldn't anymore but I don't hear anybody bitching and screaming and crying about the fact that my son and I would be on the streets if it hadn't been for one of my family members stepping up and giving his housing after a lifetime restraining order issued during my pregnancy on my son's biological do do with domestic abuse situation. I'm also US citizen that spent time in the Wards in Houston and projects and other cities and if you don't think that we don't have the same gun violence drug trafficking human trafficking gangs take it over cartels taking over neighborhoods and communities than you're freaking lying to yourself and everybody else. The same s*** that's taken over these countries is taking over the inner cities have been for decades and these are the same communities that most of these people will end up in. No it's not about not being good Christians part of being a good Christian is reminding people to stand their ground and have faith in Jesus and God and their own home territory and not to give it up to the crime people in the bad politicians. You can't say you believe in God and Jesus Christ and then he's got your back while you're running and that's the truth in the reality that nobody wants to hear the more people run from these countries the more the bad people are able to take over and then we get complaints here in the states about the cost attacks is rightfully so. For those people screaming and shouting that everybody should go out pick up in my grant and bring them home to their house and feed them and take them and I challenge you to do the same thing for homeless before you even do the migrant do homeless American citizens go out and really educate yourself because I'm totally tired of hearing from Americans that the only people that live on the streets are people with mental health problems that need mental health treatment or people that are stoned out and that's where they want to be you guys are so f****** wrong and this is coming from someone that met homeless people spent time around homeless people and understand we have a society that wants to paints a very different picture than what's truly going on because then it allows for hey it's not our problem they want to be there. I will say there's two I'm sure a lot of people are attracted to come into the United States I mean it's kind of turned into the Devil's Playground don't you think I mean look at how ostentatiously people live the projects on the backs of taxpayers selling dope holding down dead-end jobs to make it look like they're working all while going out and getting their hair did and their nails done and their eyelashes done and pimping out their cars and all that b******* and buying all this you know high-end tennis shoes and f****** clothing and Handbags and s*** and then we have the part of the United States that justified of themselves all the time or it's okay to have this huge palatial house or have multiple houses I'll we have United States veterans living on the streets or people that truly have disabilities that have been a waiting list for 2 and 3 years for housing. I remind people all the time and they hate hearing this s*** Jesus never had a house as a matter of fact Jesus basically live like a homeless person after he was an adult particularly and God made sure he was provided for. I mean did you all forget the night they came to take them away they were asleep in an Open Garden it wasn't like they popped up tents or glamper camper sites had some little Adobe type cabins they were sleeping in. As a matter of fact if you pay attention to most of the stories about Jesus and talking about him sleeping he does a lot of sleeping Outdoors. Remember God is a father that's how he's been represented and talked about in the Bible and Jesus was a man without a doubt no biological transgender question ability there. People need to remember that part of being a fair and loving. Is also teaching and discipline and these children following rules. I don't believe hearing God and Jesus telling all these people run from your countries and not have faith that I'm actually going to fix things for you and go run to somebody else actually go run to the United States where all those stuff is traveling through. I never understood the logic of that it's like rats run from the country where they're making the drugs to the country that supplying the globe with it and we're all of these bad people have thousands of people in planted everywhere with guns and hookups. I don't know why people don't understand that we have dirty lawn forcement in dirty politicians that are in bed with the dirty drug cartels that's as much as they are in the country. You don't think that there's not decisions made in the United States based on drugs and I'm not talking about how to put it into them but how to keep them flowing. I have Fred still in Florida and we were all making jokes about how quickly Sanibel Island all the way up to st. Pete got Mainland access so quickly after the last major hurricane that took everything down and we all know what it's from is because that portion of Florida is used to bring a lot of drugs in from South America, Central America. So for all of you that want to post your personal assumptions about homeless people because that's all it is unless you've actually been homeless or spent time around homeless you really have no clue what's going on in the homeless population except what you've been told by the same political talking head media bulshit that's been lying to everybody about a bunch of other stuff too. Don't you get it the politicians don't want people knowing that a lot of the people that are homeless on the street are people that are disabled and aren't disabled because they have mental health problems I know that's the narrative they've been trying to stuff down people's throats.

I support legal immigration. I value the hard-working people in my country who immigrated legally. But if you are running in here with armed protection, the border patrol should set their weapons to fully automatic and decimate this crowd. These are not the people we want coming into this country, they are already breaking the law to get in here. Sorry, not sorry, if you were this comfortable with breaking the law, then you might have cartel connections and we do not want you here. Get back on your side of the border or be met with a hail of gunfire. Don’t bring your problems here.

Why are we as Americans worried at all?? we have a program set in place for every single one of those people. Wish I could get a check walking over a line ,and the best part is if any of those people become homeless, they should move to California because your hard earned a taxpayer dollars now pay the homeless people up to $1000 a month literally just to smoke drugs probably meth and live on the streets ? welcome to America. I am Canadian and you are right. Everything is expensive and it is hard to get ahead. I make pretty good money... not like a lot but good and I still struggle. I wish I knew where to go. I definitely don't want to go to the states.

I always thought Trump was being dumb when he said, “they don’t send their best ppl” until I moved to Mexico and cross Paso del Norte once a month. Every month I take a bus up to Juarez and I ride with these migrants, and let me tell you something… they’re not all women and children. About 60-70% are young LITERAL thugs. I almost got jumped by a group of four of them when I arrived to the Juarez bus station for the first time. Mexicans are tired of these ppl as well, don’t get it twisted. 90% of Mexicans I’ve talked to don’t want them in their towns bc they say that since they’ve arrived muggings, burglary’s, and r@pes have severely gone up. In the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s most of the migrants were just ppl who wanted to work, these ppl that I’ve met time and time again talk like the US owes them and has to let them in. It’s crazy. You don’t realize it until you see them and meet them. That’s not to say there’s no good ppl in there, there is. But most are thugs.

And my life turned upside down this Friday by illegal immigrants here in Louisiana. They ran a red light, smash my car, totaled it. While running from border patrol and customs. I counted eight people running out of the vehicle and not one gave two shits to check on me, even though I was injured. Seven of them got away the only one they caught was a 14 year old Honduran child that claimed amnesty. So vehicle which they stole, which had stolen license plate, and apparently was full of stolen tools all was seized. The owners will be lucky if they get anything back since it is being held as evidence. I was told by My Attorney chances are my insurance will not pay me in full for my vehicle. Also, I only have a few payments on my car left, and I’m forced to pay it even though now I have no vehicle to get to work, because all my equity is tied up in it, funny thing is I recognize this kid from one of the jobsites down the street. They literally beat me in a bid on. Mind you only buy $400 differences I’m having to pay taxes it’s a joke when you say these people take jobs and no one else wants thing is it’s not jobs no one else wants it’s jobs that have become jobs. No one wants because of the pay continues to fall prices continue to increase, everyone thinks he’s illegal immigrants make no money on these jobsites most of them have nicer vehicles and live in nicer places than the guys I know. The Democrats who are used to vote for because I thought they were for the workingman have completely switched. Their allegiance is to the large corporations that just want to drive down competition and raise their profit margins. They don’t care about America. They want a global economic system in which we have to compete with people that are willing to do the same work as us for a little less because they don’t have to pay what we have to pay and they go back to their countries and live like kings where our dollar buys a lot. They literally use their influence and corruption to take down Trump‘s administration because he was actually doing something about America’s problems. What a damn shame it’s time to change the system. If you’re not voting for a Bernie Sanders or Trump you might as well not voted off because you will get no change. Frankly, I think Bernie Sanders is a terrible choice, but it beats Joe Biden, because at least Bernie Sanders does care. Trump 4 more years!!!!

Why not set up a program financed by their home country and ours to get them physically and financially healthy to work or start businesses in their home country? Physically, because they are coming here with all kinds of old world curable diseases, due to being born into an inadequate healthcare system. Not really their fault. The cost of living is so low for them that they could afford a future of prosperity or middle class lifestyle in their country of origin. Force their governments to change economically to sustain themselves for their interests. Imposing themselves upon a nation no longer prospering as it did during and after the Industrial Revolution is senseless. There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. Even Christopher Columbus paid to be here, no one handed him a free ticket to ‘paradise.’ The Mayflower patrons weren’t met with resistance by the indigenous community, they were harmonious. If there was a border in Maryland at Plymouth Rock, I am sure the Puritans would stop there first to get their passports stamped. I mean hell, these ‘asylum seekers’ don’t have the courtesy to get passports, why not? Passports are not that expensive considering what they pay coyotes. It makes no sense and is suspect. I've lived in both. Canada is a better place to raise your family for sure, and as a society I think it's a better place to live. It's cleaner, safer, and more diverse (and I'm talking real diversity like Aba mentioned, not segregation). There's some cool stuff about the States, don't get me wrong, but my girlfriend (who is American and has visited Canada with me) and I are strongly contemplating moving to Canada. The US has a better night life culture generally speaking and like Aba said there's more to do, but generally speaking I just want a peaceful and simple life.

India included, they have the potential to become an economic power house. We hardly produce anything here, and our government chokes off our natural resource exports. We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. I'm all for people coming here to Canada, as long as they get a job, pay their taxes and keep their noses clean. Priority should be given to anyone with specialized training like doctors and trades. Honestly just about every doctor I've ever seen was originally from India or was Asian. I have so much to say. I'm afraid of sounding racist. I dont like it. Dealing with this right now! There has been an influx in my town. Now there isnt housing left when we were fine before. My children are being slighted when they could be celebrating their 1st apartment. My interaction has been poor with a few of these people. Impossible to communicate. Very awkward having an 8 yo translate. Many want to move into nice neighborhoods but never follow the city code enforcement or rules. Then hide behind don't speak English! It kind of makes you wonder, if Canadians get amazing high quality free healthcare, why would they drive to another country to pay for it? \n\nThe truth is anybody in the countries that have socialized medicine that can afford to, ops for private care. That is a fact worldwide that nobody likes to admit. Long waits to get treatment. Long lines once you get to the facility. Piss poor quality care by people who hate your guts because every one of you has entitled lightest coming out of your ears. But why shouldn't you… you've over paid for the shit your entire life and now it's time to use it so you think you should be treated like royalty.
