20:09\nLol this just happened at my local Walmart \nIt rang twice so a white couple got beeped on their way out and they stop and look around and just walk off \nAnd on my way out a single person a white dude beeped when he was leaving and he didn’t stop he just left....\nOkay now a month before a native family gets beeped and they are chased even when they stop like as soon as it beeped one of the workers just started a jog towards them and asked them all to come back in and searched all their bags while the kids were cryin..so their was this huge scene and at the end they were told they can leave...it happens sooooo much it’s like apart of Walmart staffs training or something lol

I'm in my 60s I never been called the N-word and I'm from New York.. When that Muslim woman was being harassed I never seen people get treated like that because most people Now a Day's do there Bullying on the Internet.. I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

I’m a Hispanic in Houston, Texas, one of the most Hispanic places in Texas, and I’ve never really felt uncomfortable or felt like people have any prejudice towards me, but I didn’t know racism was still a thing until I was 19, so I may be super oblivious to these things still

Mean while there watching the black person and its usually sometimes its the white person that's stealing the item. I've seen situation like that. I've even gone in to department stores looking to purchase something and being ignored by the sales rep they would rather help the white person than the black person in a situation where I wanted to purchase something the sales rep went to help the white lady who she spent half-an-hour with and that white woman did not purchase anything I was in a hurry ended up getting help from another sales rep ended up spending $300 the first sales rep who didn't help me looked over and saw that large purchase and thoughts to herself I should have helped that black girls. I mean in both cases you can't just judge a person by their colour a thief is a thief.

I lived all over the world. In Jamaica, I don't think I had a maid out of 15 of them over two years that didn't steal from me. From jewelry to cash, micro daily theft like 500g of rice at a time etc... In Shenzhen, China, i never had anything taken and I was not locking my door. That's just statistics at one point and experience. Never had a Chinese or Vietnamese being late on rents. I have a lot of other people default and leave in the middle of the night.

My dad is a really big and tall Mexican man who is real tan. Me and him were at a store and we were looking around for video games. This lady was following us I swear! She kept asking like, do you need anything? Do you need help with anything? And I didn't really think a lot of it until I realized what darker skin people encounter in stores! That's ridiculous!

Racism is defiantly a problem BUT offers are USUALLY based on credit scores. They didn’t provide more than one test that ‘determines bias’?!?!?!? These tests are garbage. PEOPLE OFFER HELP based physiology. Example... If someone looks like they are looking for something then they don’t know what they want. If you offer help and customers deny but hang elongated experiences of looking for something — one would look for ‘why’ is this person still looking heavily for something but yet denied help.

Am African man and here in Africa we don’t have such things as black or white but we are all humans and we all believe that all humans are equal and it doesn’t matter whether you’re white or black..

This is so frustrating. I spent twelve years in the apartment industry and went through literally hundreds of hours of Fair Housing Training. I was given test shoppers on numerous occasions, just like every other property manager I knew and I always passed with flying colors because I stuck to a script and said everything the same way, even with the same tone of voice, every time. It didn't matter who was in front of me, my job was more important than anything else and that meant absolutely no possibility of discrimination. Here in the US, management companies and even the individuals onsite can be held monetarily responsible if testers find them to be discriminatory. It is very disappointing to see property staff making such bluntly poor choices. We all know better in that industry. This is the 21st century, we should be beyond this.

My mother was German/Irish. My father was french/dutch. I tan quite well, enough time in the sun and I get Puerto Rican dark. I got my dad's curly hair. I spent 10 years on the south coast of of the US so when I moved back to Missouri I was quite dark, not really an issue on the cost as everyone is kinda dark lol Back in Missouri I got followed around stores, had my bags checked coming out of stores, had clears talk to me in slow broken English, and before I could open my mouth was told they didn't speak spanish. I have since lost my tan and all that with it. Stuff like that is a real wake up call.

I'm a white guy who lived in another country that wasn't a white majority country. There is discrimination in western countries, but there are ways to deal with it. The discrimination I had to deal with every day was much more than this, but nobody wants to know about that. The way I lived for those several years was to realize that I was different and I just had to maximize dealing with good people and when I knew that I would have to deal with something like having to get an apartment, I took that countries national with me knowing I would get a better deal. I was grabbed by officers at night and threatened. basically whatever is faced here, I had on a regular basis. At first, it pissed me off, but later, I came up with a way to maximize my life to get the best treatment I could. I didn't think I would be coming back to America, but eventually, I came back for more schooling and ended up staying.

Thai here. Used to study at US for 5 years. Got a job at a local mart owned by a couple of Thai elders. I was super liberal back then but after 4 - 5 months.... Turne out stereotyes exist for a reason. I don't like it but that's how it is. We didn't have enough staffs to keep eyes on every customers. And 95% of all the shoplifters are a certain specific race. \n\nThey don't even care about the cameras. Only way to prevent loss is keeping eyes on them and get the merchantdises back when they tried to fled.

Racism goes both ways I’ve been treated very bad because of my pale skin hair and eyes I’ve been called albino by people of colour and I’ve never and would never do that to them growing up in the uk in an area with a high Muslim community being beaten up at school ,there where places white girls just didn’t go I hated the way I looked I started to dye my hair black I wore baggy clothes and lots of layers but I couldn’t change my eyes I would alway walk with my head down so I know what it’s like to be treated differently because of colour

Trudeau going to have to establish a DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program in Canada now - people don't realize there is probably thousands like her scattered across the country mostly in the major cities. They all want similar relief from potentially being deported if they are caught. I have no problem giving it to them since most of them are young but I would enforce the condition that they have to resettle in Manitoba, Northern Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces - areas in Canada experiencing population decline, aging demographics and high job vacancy numbers. We don't need people who didn't follow the rules further overcrowding cities like Toronto and Vancouver where the cost of living is rising every year.

I think subtle racism is actually a very practical type of stereotyping and it didn't just got created out of air, there is a big chunk of that specific race (be it any race according to the stereotype) who actually prove the stereotype to be right. I am from india, living in Canada and if some house owner would prefer a white guy over me to rent their house, I would not blame him since a lot of people don't like the smell of spices that we cook all the time.\n\nAs far as stereotyping is sublet and not rude or hurting, I don't think it's actually so much of racism rather then preference.\n\nI just want to make it clear though that I do support racism, whatever is happening in US and a lot of other countries which is violent is a very horrible thing. Specially black people being racially profiled everywhere including malls and by the police themselves.

i got racially profiled . i went to an up scale outdoor mall. Full off super wealthy White ppl . I was with my friends in a candy store .. i bought a sprite and told the lady to keep the receipt . i didn’t think i needed it . it was only like 2 bucks. Long story short an older lady who was in her 50’s about ( white ) accuses me of stealing tells the workers to chase after me . As i’m walking out . One of the lady’s grabs my shoulder and ask me if i paid for that . i said yes i did. she asks for my receipt and i told her i just bought a sprite and didn’t think i needed it She tells me to STAY PUT . i said uh ok. She ask the lady at the register if i paid and she said yes . Remind u everyone in the store is white i’m the only black kid . Also i’m 13. My friends confronted the lady without me asking . i’m thankful for them

I’ve had this happen, I’ve been profiled in CVS twice and while I’m being profiled I’ve watched a White guy on one occasion and a black guy stealing like there was no Tomm. \n\nLol.. I didn’t say anything to management but I get close to them and say,” I see you and you know you wrong.” They stop and walk out.\n\nI’m sure they come back later but for a few hours I foil a theft.

Honestly, this is sad, because these people obviously didn't receive higher education. I don't mean it in a bad way, but seriously, getting an education prevents stuff like this from happening because you actually LEARN to think critically about others' situations and the way the world works.

We need to have a little bit of compassion for Muslims who are struggling with this. Imagine that you were born into Islam. You didn't ask for it. You just happened to be unlucky enough to be born into a Muslim country and raised under it. It's not their fault that they believe what they believe. \nWe need to help them to free them from the chains of Islam. The way to help them and free them from Islam is by educating them with the truth. It's difficult for them to accept because they have devoted their entire life to it. It's also quite a shock when they see all of the errors in the Quran which is supposed to be the pure word of an all-powerful and all-knowing God. Then they see things like- the sun revolves around the earth and sets in a pool of muddy water. It's like somebody telling you that your dear friend has been lying to you for the last 50 years of your life. You just can't believe it. You don't want to believe. You defend your friend, you love your friend. \n\nSo instead of insulting these poor Muslim people try helping them by suggesting that they read the Koran cover to cover from beginning to end. Then they will see for themselves that this 7th century book conflicts with modern scientific and historical knowledge. That's when they will realize that Muhammad invented the entire thing so that people would obey him and treat him like a god on Earth. That's when they will realize that he was a 7th century man who knew nothing about the scientific knowledge that we have now in this century. That's when they will realize that the Quran is filled with threats of punishment and violence for not believing and not obeying the supposed word of God given to them by Muhammad. Muhammad put harsh punishments in it so that they would submit out of fear. This is why Islam is so violent. \n\nTo our Muslim friends in humanity. I'm so sorry that you were lied to. So sorry that you wasted much of your life devoting it to Islam. I'm so grateful to those of you who have not followed the violence of Islam commanded in the Quran. But now you are free with the truth. Go and live your life in Peace and freedom. Love your fellow humans and help your fellow humans. Try to spread the truth to other Muslims and help them.
