Strong speech of Trudeau! We Europeans feel you and we are totally with Canada. \nHowever, I guess there is no point anymore speaking reasonable arguments to someone who simply lost all resonableness. The ones behind him (voters) are blinded by the lies and false arguments they now believe in. \nUnfortunately this all will cause an unparalel loss of economic growth for everyone, ALSO for the americans themselves. In addition, the world peace balance will badly loose its balance and can end up quite uggly.

By and large Ukrainians, Europeans, Americans, and Canadians want an end to the war against Russia. Canadians want the opiate catastrophe cleaned up, that 1% is only what the authorities are aware of… plus the liberals & new democrats are pumping a large “safe supply” into our communities! We want our boarders tightened up, and our economy properly, honestly, and transparently managed. Sit down Trudeau… you don’t represent the majority of Canadians. The rest are catching up.

American here. I can't tell you how much I miss having a president that speaks like Trudeau. Instead we have a bunch of 4 year tantrum throwing toddlers. And for anyone that has been in a room full of 4 year tantrum throwers all day you know that is completely exhausting, life draining and all you want to do set them in time-out.

It's too bad that Trudeau's Government did so little about fentanyl, also about our poorly-controlled border and destructive immigration non-policies for so long. That said, it blows me away that Trump was so vociferous about the Lawfare that was lined up against him in 2023-24, but he doesn't see that excess use of the power of the State is wrong and immoral in this Canadian and Mexican case. Trump only knows the right of might. Threats, coercion, bullying. He doesn't otherwise distinguish between right and wrong; only about what is good for him and his ego. The Tariffs will drive very bad business outcomes in the US. Including, inflation, and lost jobs. The Stock Markets are already tanking. At this particular stage, his ego will not allow him to back off, that's my prediction. Much pain for all Americans (and obviously for Canadians) will first have to ensue. Canada must receive its spanking, and Donald will have to save face. Ultimately, he'll invent some dishonest pretense to put the genie in the bottle, while the economic damage to all sides will be severe. But ... Why would he care?

Canada already taxes US imports at an average of 25%, so these US tariffs only balance the playing field.
