Don't buy into this Canadians. \nThese Liberals are delighted they can now campaign against Trump instead of Canada's conservatives. \nTrudeau's tariffs on American imports will directly raise prices in Canada, not the US, and will provide a windfall of tax money for his spendthrift government.

I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. Unfortunately, most of the significant issues Canada faces is the result of self inflicted wounds resulting from incompetent leadership. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

People think about this please, I believe this is collusion along with the media because the government will take all of the additional income but their people will pay higher fees so it's just like taxing your own people. There's going to be pain on both sides, caused by one man. Canadians will have more resolve in this trade war than will the US counterparts. The whole of Canada is behind the leadership of the provinces Premier's and the Federal Government - regardless of party. Resolve isn't an issue.

They have learned the Canadian border is a lot easier to cross and they can get into BC pretty easily due to relaxed immigration policies In Canada.. they probably don’t actually know where the drugs are coming from or where they’re being manufactured entirely. The cartels are probably a step ahead of them at the moment. \n\nI can’t believe the auto industry lobbyists were not instructed to go full send on the detriment of the opposite position taken from the NAFTA. The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

Why do those of us on the political left keep allowing those on the political right to dictate the terms of public conversations, even when we have the facts on our side? It is estimated that 1.7% of the world population is biologically intersex. That's roughly the same as the percentage of the world population that is naturally redheaded. Trump's executive order states that the US government only recognizes two biological sexes.  This means that as far as the US government is concerned, biologically intersex people don't exist. This is analogous to having an executive order saying redheads do not exist.  It's nonsense.  So, why aren't biologists from all over the country pointing this out? The percentage of the world population that identifies as transgender is at most 0.6%.  So why are we talking about transgender people when there is a larger group of people that Trump's executive order discriminates against?  Here's why: because folks on the left insist on allowing those on the right to set the terms of almost every debate we have in this country and folks on the right are happy to ignore intersex people (whose existence conclusively establish that their views are false) and those of us on the left stupidly follow their example in doing so. If we are serious about protecting trans people, we need to be smart about this. Let us reframe the public debate to focus on intersex people.  This will make exposing the lunacy of Trump's executive order much easier when engaging a general public that is too ignorant, lazy, and indifferent to educate themselves about trans people. So, let's help out the lazy ignorant masses by adopting a simpler (and more science-based) approach to the debate over whether there are two biological sexes by making the simple, scientifically sound observation that biological sex is bimodal, not a binary.  And not amount of executive orders can ever change that fact.

Trump needs put very large tariffs on Mexico. The Mexican government stood by until this March of people marched all the way there. It has taken them two days to get to the border.

They should be exerting this much energy into their own countries to dethrone their dictatorship government and elect officials that will be for the people in their country raise up their flag and be a part of their country

If this type of behavior carried a declaration of war the Mexican government would stop this.

When the military say we don’t need these people is purely because of a medical condition. They need constant medication and the government pay for this. My mate was fired for getting diabetes from the RAAF coz of the same excuse: wake up! We need the best of the best/. Main side point is once you’re in the active duty military, the Government pays all your medical expenses 100% through TRICARE. It is not the tax payers financial responsibility or the governments to continuously take on this private elected debt of one’s choosing. Trans have always found a way to get their gender changed in the private medical sector without adding to the already multi trillion dollar debt we are in. Government saying we need skilled workers is a scam they want cheap workers no sense of safety or Canadian culture. How did the government let this happen we’re fucked also how did wages not go up when cost of living doubled I don’t care about being able to buy a 1.5 million dollar house but the locals should be able to get by

I have a lot of sympathy for these people, especially considering many gave up everything they had to pay smugglers to get this far while our government was effectively letting everyone in while offering additional incentives such as money and temporary housing. That said, if we don't have borders we don't have a country. Add on the massive welfare state that they will all become burdens on, either immediately or eventually, and it becomes clear to anyone with a little bit knowledge and common sense that the policies of the Biden administration that allowed things to get this bad, if not stopped immediately, would mean the end of the middle class, the further impoverishment of the lower class and massive benefits for the wealthiest among us. As a father it is my job to feed and house my family, I was able to do this but there were a lot of times that I just did it and I had nothing else to give. I can’t find the proper words to describe how I’m feeling about the life in Canada! I feel extremely disappointed and angry. EVERYTHING has changed since the early 80s unrecognizably, even the service and how different people treat or mistreat each other!! There is no more courtesy, politeness and human respect in hospitals, government offices, banks, etc. \nThe elected government officials are mostly corrupt, unfit for their duties and pursue only a personal agendas in promotion to a higher level! \nRight now, as of January 2025 we are again expecting endless flows of refugees from Gaza along to anticipated tax increases imposed by Trump. \nI have no more words! I feel that this country becoming a dump with an unbearable quality of life. I am feeling mostly depressed and feel no joy due to current conditions and limited opportunities here. I simple cannot even stand it any more and can’t wait when I would be able to find a new place of my residence outside of Canada!

I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My wife and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on my pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with my Abby Joseph Cohen my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

PREDICTION: The rise of international tariffs will ultimately uncover a huge underbelly of unemployment ironically in the USA and create a wave of an unexpected underbelly of poverty unseen by America in many years. USA will suffer in the next 4 years due to tariff wars and causing its international allies work in new relationships with its unexpected competitors such as China. The EU will learn how to live without relying on the USA - as is the same with China and other countries. America will have to self-rely on itself - causing it to recycle its own money over and over again to try and create home-grown industries that will initially be very expensive to run. \n\nCompetitive countries will strike deals with American allies and form new relationships that the USA hadn't foreseen - and the era will illustrate an international 'Us' vs US mentality. Countries will turn their back on America, knowing they can work well together than rely on the USA. \n\nThe average US citizen will be receiving tax rise after tax rise, causing more poverty within states and due to the 'xenophobic tariff mentality' - will find the middle income earner slip down to a lower grade, and ripple this effect. Medical aid will only benefit the rich while everyone else will pay for minimum service but premium for medication. \n\nThe price of food and transport will quadruple over the next 4 years, not because of the natural progression of price rise, but immediately due to tariff wars. \n\nAmericans, ultimately pay for tariffs - bullying words of 50 percent tariffs on another country means a surge in prices for everyday goods Americans take for granted. The only winner is the Government - which means it chooses what to spend on. \n\nA recession will hit hard....AGAIN -- on the USA.

It’s a disgrace. Citizens who had gone to the U.S. to work are deported, return home heartbroken, and are met with no words of support—only to be told they have no place here. Such cruelty is beyond comprehension. The excuse that they were in handcuffs is absurd. Whether they were criminals or not, if there’s a chance they were treated unfairly in another country, shouldn’t their own government investigate first? A government that can’t even protect its own citizens can hardly be called a sovereign state. Now, these individuals face a future of detention if they return to the U.S. or a life abandoned by their nation, left to wander like outcasts. A president like this is nothing short of a devil.

Trump will have to show these people he means business the dirty government and democrats are doing this against Trump he is going to have to take force; stop been the good guy on things for the safety of America

Background checks, usable skills, and political or criminal affiliation. If it’s not possible to access, so is your entry. By making it so impossible to legally enter, we’re funding the criminals who will do so illegally. \n And can we talk openly about the real issue as well? It’s time for the U.S to clean house too. Government officials taking bribes from the Cartels and making it harder for us to put safety measures in place. We have to stop being in business with these criminal elements. I get it, the money’s being used to fund our military initiatives that tax dollars can’t, like in the 80’s with Contra, but how many U.S lives have to be lost to secure a foreign policy???
