As an Indian, I would like to apologize to the natives. That lady spoke the truth - if you are moving to a new country, you have to adapt and respect their culture so that they can accept you easily. Most people coming to Brampton don't even know how to communicate in English. I would like to share a true story that happened to me. In 2021, I was coming to Canada and I was standing in the boarding pass queue at the airport when a guy asked me how to spell Canada. I was in complete shock. How can you go to Canada as a student when you can't even spell it?

Brampton is a peaceful and diverse neighbourhood. Don't go there if you don't like it. What are you a white supremacist ? Stick to small town Mississipi if you only want to see white people.

Did immigrants not look in to things like this before wanting to live in Canada? I am going to be honest. All though I have lived in Canada 20 years ago. Felt very much at home. I also saw a country that is far from being better on the important topics for living a life. People want to immigrate go to countries where they can. In Denmark immigrants are not wanted, but is a more balanced country on most topics to live in if you want better. ???

I am from the immigration system, this country accepted me, humbled me and taught me if you work hard, you'll eventually get there. I slogged my back off to go through Study permit - work permit - PR - Citizenship. And seeing this saddens me to accept the fact that our system has broken. There you go with ships full of different form of wealth, materials, valuables, spices, and most importantly hard working men as slaves & women for our ***** needs. Those who turn against are imprisoned, beaten, tortured and killed for fun as they can never become the wealth. \n« « \n\nThis went on for centuries until the colonizers extracted till the last drop of the wealth. And, guess what, they didn’t want the natives to live in peace. The fact you have to pay a couple HUNDRED bucks a month is crazy! We have extra coverage with our jobs for chiro, massage, dental work, but i NEVER paid that much for it. And like I said, the work insurance is for extras, not basic care. I'm on disability so no work insurance and i haven't paid a dime even for major surgeries that meant 2 seeks in the hostital, 2 days ICU, rehab, meds, home care. That's all covered by gvmt (Yes by our taxes, but we actually don't pay more taxes than you) . I would need that extra insurance if i wanted to go to a private clinic or something.\n\nEven the homecare that I have, not the post surgery one, basics like cooking and cleaning, is paid by a gvmt program to come 10hrs a week for me but they also cover full time! It's a case by case

If a group of kind-hearted people start a new religion. This new religion set up a rule that all followers of the religion must carry an automatic gun or CP at all times. The reason given in this new religious book is to protect fellow humans from aggressive gunmen. Will govt allow them to board planes or go to schools, universities, hospitals, and public places? will all these automatic weapons be under freedom of religion or law of land? \n\nI am not sure if people agree but religion is based on beliefs and laws on experience. Commonsense tells that beliefs are personal and should be kept in personal space.\n\nThe university should not have apologized but should have expelled the person to carry a weapon in public places.\n\nThink of a gang that classifies them as religious and carries knives or swords in public places. Further, this is not the medieval age where you needed to carry weapons because you believed in a rule written 500 years back based on that time's need.

I came legally why can't they? This makes them criminals. We should close immigration, or tell them if you have come in to study and it is false you have to go to jail for a year and have a criminal record

Send them all Back ! , immigrate to the country if you want to live here . don't come as a Temporary and think you will now simply stay , go through the same Channels that all other immigrants go Through !

Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

Reading most of the comments I agree they should go back where they came from. But look at it from Trudeau’s point of view, if he lets them stay they will likely vote for him in the next election . He will have to give them the right to vote, but isn’t that in the works already too? Besides you simply need a Canadian driver’s licence and place of residence to vote isn’t it? Many could vote by lying about their citizenship. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Go home.No one ask them to come there to begin with. Immigration is totally twisted. If you are on vacation in Canada and meet a business owner and he likes you and want to hire you full time for what ever job. Immigration will say no to that. Not the right education, not the right age. not the right what ever. The business owner will only be able to hire you for max 3 years. Then you will returned to your own country. Then the business owner can sit there and say. Whaaaat. Why can I not decide for my self. Why do you now want people from modern countries that are better than Canada in many ways ? WHY ?. To want to live in Canada , you really have to love to be there, feel at home no matter if it is better for your finances or not. Now that rents has gone up to a level where only the wealthy can pay., why do they still insist on coming, There is a difference between having a high education and waste in on a coffee job/cleaning job/taxi driver job and so forth.

That said, the bas supposition isn't wrong. The bubble we've been sitting on for 20 or so years has completely burst. As someone born and raised in the Toronto area, it's impossible for me to afford to own a house or apartment here on a teacher's salary. Even rent pushes me to the limit unless I want to live in a... less than nice area. I'm living hand to mouth and enjoying the benefits of living in a 'developed' country less. Here's why:\n\n1. Wages aren't really even close to keeping up with the cost of living. The first tick upwards a bit. The second just keeps rising on the back of housing, food, amenities, and inflation: the four horsemen.\n\n2. Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. If your white here they won’t even rent to you even if you wanted to because they know the only people that will live in those conditions are them. Rental adds being racist saying only brown people but if we we be put on blast.Not to mention they will only hire their own kind once they have ones in management. \nI had ones move in my place and sure enough 10 + people in it within 2 months and the place is already infested with roaches.\nAnd we wonder why crime , drugs and homeless is going crazy.\nUse Canadians need to start fighting back doing the same only hiring and renting to Canadians. Start threatening them do go back home but no we don’t because we all sit back and do nothing. Truth! The majority of Indian students came to work and not study. Why? Many had borrowed money to come or had their parents borrow large amounts of money because of the financial pressures. Many became Uber drivers adn working more than the 20 hr limit per week under the table. What is Canada going to do with one million foreign students. If you actually did study and graduate then you have a good education to go home with. You people think that you can come here, not follow the rules and now you want to change the rules just to suit you.

Maybe the words need to said differently. When all students have done all your studies. Graduated. You go home like most graduates do. Too work on next step . If do not already have a placement. Immediately after graduation. Not a fast food or a store. In your chosen field!

I’m Indian and I will be damned if I say I agree with you. This shouldn’t be allowed. Follow the rules. This mob culture has to stop. I work my ass off and I can’t get by. My industry went on a strike for a year and I couldn’t get a survival job. These students can move from one province to another any time they want. How is this possible. Isn’t there any law to prevent them moving from the place they came to “study” in the first place and move to another location just for PR? I waited two years to get my police verification done from all the countries I worked before my immigration application got approved. These days it’s like the immigration ministry is handing over permanent residency like candies. More over if I go to a shop ask for help I get answers in a language I don’t speak or follow. Why are we allowing this? Why can’t these guys speak English or French? Why am forced to learn Punjabi? If these guys want to create a ghetto for themselves why are they doing it here? Who’s allowing all this? What’s happening to those English language tests? I don’t care if they fulfill any of those departments that require eligible workers. Why do we have to import truck drivers and factory workers? I’m fed up with this and I wonder why Canadians aren’t worried about their country and culture and react like they do. Because it comes off as like a bragging or a snobbery and I don't go for that. The worst mistake during the pandemic lockdown in Canada was the government shoveling out free money and people reinvesting it back into their real estate. So you have billions of Canadians locked out of their jobs big shovel taxpayer money and they all just started renovating their homes. To the point where sheets of plywood were you couldn't find them and they went up 100 times and price. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

Lived in Canada during the oil crisis. You can immediately tell that the country relies solely on oil and gas. Their STEM graduates will mostly go into oil and gas for jobs and if that industry tanks, that goes the job market. The software engineering grads have the option to go to the US and they do. So Canada does not need more skilled immigrants because their own skilled citizens can't get jobs. They need the low wage immigrants to fill the low and manual job force. So,you don't have to imagine what will happen if those people can't get a job.

Quality of the Indian crowd has deteriorated since I left Canada in 2017. Educated Indian people are leaving Canada because they are struggling to make ends meet due to lack of opportunity in Tech and many other fields. Do you think that they are going to work in odd jobs? On top of that they get these for free: extremely cold weather, lower wage and crazy inflation. Its good that people are exposing Canada and only crude, uneducated and raw Indian crowd that is coming and settling here. Your politicians and education system deserve to be blamed. Your colleges and universities betrayed International students who wanted to work in their own field of choice by promising them every possible help. Unfortunately most of the students realize this only after living there for a few years. By that time your universities and colleges have already gulped the money paid by the international students. They don't care if you die on streets or remain homeless or go back to your own country. STOP COMPLAINING.

Britain is a white and Christain NOT Muslim. If you want to live by Muslim law go to a Muslim country.

Not only is it it impossible to live here, there are no resources unless the government gets something from it. As an indigenous child who grew up in foster care my whole life, there was no indigenous foster care homes for me to go to and therefore my culture has become traumatic for me. My OWN culture has major trauma related to it and my foster care agency would NOT help me unless I moved to the reservation after I aged out the THEIR system, which was not applicable because they were the ones who traumatized me. When I turned 19, I was expected to have it all figured out, I was not allowed to remain in my foster home afterwards without massive paper work and thank god my foster mom cared about me because without her, I would be on the streets with nothing but a garbage full of clothes. I moved out on my own with the help of that family and my agency said they would help with things if I asked. As of the economy now, I did ask them. I asked them for any help at all and my social worker LITERALLY ghosted me and stood me up, even at my plea for help. You would think this is just my case but there are hundreds of cases like mine with even worse endings and what Canada has done with this information is nothing. Foster Care in Canada for indigenous youth is the 2000’s way of Residential Schools and I am EXTREMELY lucky to NOT be homeless and dead. Many of my friends in similar situations are dead or homeless and I have no hope for Canada, it’s an extremely depressing reality.

Only thing that I would say that needs to be reviewed is the source @ 12:38 where you said 7% of the Canadian population leaves when in actuality it is ~ 0.7% to 1% which is an order of magnitude different that what was said. Brain drain is real but its not at a point where we are losing more than 1% of our population a year to the US just yet. Also people return after ~5 years when they do go but I'm curious if they will stop coming back in the coming years. Anyways, I'm looking forward to future work and you gained a subscribe from me!

9:37 it's good to hear that you grew up in Germany. Maybe it was better before, but nowadays the DeutcheBahn is so unpredictable, with all the strikes etc. It became a meme. Previously the low cost airlines kinda was a choice, but these days the tax on flight deliberately increased by German government, and there are not much cheap flights left, better to cross the border and fly from there. Also I find it not fair to compare Germany and Canada as their areas are different. Definitely not to compare with Singapore.\nI heard that flight in Canada are very expensive, but if I would live in Vancouver I would prefer to go to Seattle over the border for a weekend rather than going to Toronto on the other side of the continent. Car option in Canada I assume is more affordable that Germany. The German gas price(for cars), or energy in general considered to be one of the most expensive in the World. Also the expenses to get a car license, people are just saying that it's easier and cheaper to fly over to USA get car driving license there and come back. In general with all the pros and cons, Canada seems better when compared to Germany, I saw several people left from Germany to Canada, and only 1 from Canada to Germany(his main reason was high property prices, and German were surprised because of such reason, the prices risen in Germany as well, except maybe for rural areas).\n\nAlso to make it fare when comparing Toronto better to compare it to Berlin, not just to any city in Germany. I’ve been in Canada for over 24 years and I have never seen it like this in my life!\nThe main cause of the majority of issues is the housing crisis.\n\nWhat a lot of you might not be aware of is that we have not been building homes to keep up with the demand for over two decades. That’s why the price for housing has increased astronomically. And then our government decided to basically allow unfettered immigration in order to take advantage of the new immigrants’ money so they can use it to fund the Canadian Pension Plan.\n\nJust an FYI, the way CPP is funded is that the current group of working people are paying for the current group of retired seniors. And due to the lack of childbirths and people living longer, the CPP can no longer afford to take care of all the seniors in its system. Thus, the government devised a plan to have more people coming here so as to milk the money they have. Actually, they’ve even gone to the extent to basically allow seniors to be willingly euthanized… it’s absolutely bonkers.\n\nBut anyway, I digress… so then with housing at astronomical prices, you’re now pushing out the poor people onto the streets, causing homelessness. \n\nAnd when people are homeless, the average person will do drugs to escape reality and commit crimes to survive. Which is why it’s now increasingly dangerous in public spaces. \n\nThen, the transportation also never accounted for such a massive increase in population. At least not in Toronto. Which is also causing major inconvenience to go anywhere. \n\nIt used to be that if you lived in the suburbs, you could drive into Toronto pretty quickly but now, it takes like an hour and a half to two hours, making it extremely difficult to get around. And also, hard to take advantage of the “lower” housing prices in the suburbs.\n\nBut that’s not all. Part of the issue is that the Trudeau government wants to no longer have Canada use our oil and gas overnight, which is causing the increase in gas prices. Many Canadians still rely on gas because electric cars are not efficient in Canadian weather and are simply too expensive for your average person. And yet they cut off our supply of oil and gas which causes the price inflation of transport and anything that requires to be moved such as groceries and supplies.\n\nAnd don’t get me started on how our healthcare system is falling apart… even though we pay some of the highest taxes in the world…

Let's make Canada great again. Actually I'm kidding. Let's not go down that road. It's easy to poke holes, and cherry pick problems, much harder to appreciate the good things we have. Canada has problems for sure but every place does and we really don't have it so bad. Unreasonable expectations are just as big of a problem as high prices. If Vancouver is too expensive then go somewhere else. I did. Canada is a big place. Very big. There are loads of opportunities if you get out of the rut you are in and stop thinking that life owes you a certain lifestyle.

I got a chance to get shifted to North America 24 years ago. By then I had reached a CXO level job in India and that company gave me a choice. I decided it was good in India, and my salary went up as the years went by. In USD terms I might have got lesser than in NA, but in purchasing power, I got more, I think.\n\nThen India's growth after Y2k happened and I got other jobs, and participated in stock options with start-ups with dynamic founders (India has a decent VC-PE network now, especially for technology people). 5 years ago I decided no need to work and be on my own, doing stuff I always wanted do, but income was more priority. Today I realise most of new wealth is being created in India: new ideas, new services, products, delivery systems, etc: all being thought of in India. Why go abroad, except for a vacation?\n\nToday I have a fairly substantial net worth that got created through those wealth sharing jobs and I realize when I visit NA, that I would never have got this, not unless I had been there for a long time, and certainly not in Canada - that's pretty clear.\n\nToday, India is the place where wealth is being made. If you have a product or service that is successful, or are a part of such an enterprise and get to share in the value creation (that's a risk, not a given, not guaranteed), India is the place to be. And by going out of India, you are taking a risk, this is no different, except we know India in our blood.\n\nIf you are entrepreneurial, or have the risk taking capacity to work with an entrepreneur and share his risk with stock participation, there a great probability you will do very, very well in India.\n\nThe biggest upside: YOU are now developing India!

Back in the day, if you couldn't afford to live in the city, you would just move to the outskirts. Why does everyone need to live in dow town as if it's a right? Go to the outskirts and stop moaning about high rent prices! I’m an expatriate, currently in Malaysia. Honestly, I feel like it’s a heaven. Paying $600 per month for a 1550 sqft 3 beds big apartment and having 2 bunnies ?? as our pet. Maintaining a BMW 5 series car. I roughly make $110k-$120k a year and my overall expense in Malaysia about $36-40k yearly and having a lavished life. Every month me and my wife go for trip as it has so many beautiful places including stunning islands and highlands. The only issue is here they don’t provide PR or citizenship, however it’s a truly heaven if you have a solid visa status. I was planning to move to Canada but after watching the video I’ve been disappointed and I’m afraid to visit Canada. What do you think about moving to US?

For context’ sake, for most of my adulthood I have always been poor & I am born with special health needs (E.g. disabilities).
\n\n\nSometimes on forums we are often contrasted to Canada, for some reason. Both Canada and Australia have remarkably similar problems with a different coat of paint. Sydney, for instance, has always been high up in the list of the cities with the highest cost of living in the world. Usually within the top 10-20. 

COVID-19 obviously made this issue clearer in some circumstances because we couldn't 'work' at all. Unless you were an essential service worker, to mentally block out personal and local difficulties.\n\n\nWe still have not recovered from that 2–3 years global shutdown. The only reason I was allowed to work for a period was because I work for the animal industry and aid in animal welfare. 

I still lost my job due to COVID-19 regardless and knew I would never get a decent job again. Merely just the last poor sod on the boat to be thrown off. 

Could not become a vet nurse despite working very hard. Just because no one wants to give me '2-years permanent paid experience’ to be taken seriously. 

At the same time, way too many employers will happily take 2+ years of veterinary students volunteering at their vet clinic. With the vague promise of a permanent job.

 No, they do not want to train nor help you. They just want free labour, then kick you out once your time is up. All my jobs have been casual, and my animal industry has already become heavily casual based ages ago. Permanent job is like looking for a magical unicorn.\n\n\nSo, even if you and your relatives lived in the way outer suburbs of Sydney for decades, being typically considered roughly lower-middle socio-economic families. 

The younger adults and kids all know and have been aware for years, they have no future at all due to having an inflated cost of living. Sugar-coating it, saying it might go in a positive direction, sounds like a blatant lie. We all know it is a lie.\n\n\nNowadays, in contrast to the late nineties and early 2000s when I was just a tiny naive kid that didn't know any better. There seems to be a more jarring split between the income brackets of what the country assumes who is poor, middle class or rich today. 

\n\nBy today's standards, my family is no longer even considered close to the very lower end of the middle class if you were reaching hard. We are considered 'poor' just because my parents do not earn roughly $50,000 — $150,000 AUD a year on their own in 2023. Canadian here, have lived in the UK, the Caribbean and the US since 2018. Every country is screwed in its own way. There are few enclaves for English speakers. You have to go to an area (which may not be country specific but could be state/province/city specific) where your industry thrives and you can get a job/visa/sponsorship etc. It's not pretty. I'm so tired of it. I just don't think there's a way to not be screwed if you're a millennial. The way they built the economy around the world after WW2 is collapsing but the older generations continue to believe. And they have higher numbers.

So let me be clear: the Aboriginal People have absolutely every single right to be disgruntled and complain if any nation is to do so especially after having been swindled and bamboozled out of their land and space and way of life. This is why if any nation/ group is expected to raise up and fuss and complain it’s the Natives/Indigenous People. The circumstances are not even remotely near the same here with Canadians today versus what the Aboriginals went through pre-European Canada. We don’t even need to go there. Naturally, any one particular group that occupies a certain space and then has said space slowly taken over by another group/nation will be displeased to say the least and it is their right to complain. Truly no one nation or group can occupy any land or space forever as no one truly owns the land to begin with. Who’s disputing that?? So why even complain at all over something we don’t even truly own, even though we have somewhat of a right to do so?? The world is gradually becoming more of a melting pot of different races of people. And needless to state, Canada is a country of many nations and it would be very unbecoming of any minority immigrant to be here and be racist towards and complain about the other ethnicities/minorities here. Hence what triggered my comment in the first place. Immigrants wanna boldly come here and change things to suit them. This is Canada! And that’s not how things work here. Why come to my home and then complain about the occupants? Just go back where you came from. Period!

Canada is a great place to live if you are a wealthy foreigner looking to park your money of unknown or questionable origin. Or possibly a retiree who scarcely ventures outdoors. For hardworking working- and middle-class people under the age of 50, regardless of where you live, where you were born, or what you do, your future is worrisome. About 80% of you don't want to know your future, if you haven't already figured it out. New leadership may help, but the problems go deeper than that.

You facts are way off to the point of being misleading. Then average cost of a home in the GTA is $1.2 million and by law you need a 20-25% down payment. Even if you're lucky to get that $800k home you need a 15% down payment of 15% so that's $120k! Incomes here suck you need over $250k to qualify for a mortgage...who earns that? My circle is lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and only 2 income professionals can get that. Over the last 10 years Canada has become very anti families and anti heterosexual so most people are single. It's also become super anti social. I've lived and traveled all over and everyone I know is making plans to go back to their home countries, countries of parentage or the US or Mexico. This place is a money sucking trap filled with identity politics, High crime, bad attitudes,bad weather and no social life

I know the struggle. If you live in the province I live in, you have to stay on the bus for atleast 1hr to go to a place 20mins down the road and yes walking is a must.

I don't agree that North American cities are all ugly just like not all European cities are all that beautiful. Go to Rome, Naples Athens and you will see how dirty and run down these cities are. And no Vancouver is not nicer than Chicago.\n\n I think the mindset here in Canada especially Ontario is not the best. Everyone is all about going to work and just isolating. In Europe it's much more vibrant. People want to go out and socialize a lot more. Here it's basically work and home. Not much else.\n\n If things were good here economically all these points would take a back seat and most people would tolerate them. But when rent is $2000 plus. Wages are barely going up etc..etc..than everything else starts to grate on you.
