Canada is a country of immigrants, which means people who are, in my humble opinion, mostly quite self-centered and expecting the world from others, which never happens! Canada demands a gigantic capacity to adapt, to adjust and, in a word, to change...completely! You must be totally willing to leave everything behind if you want to integrate into Canadian society and this is extremely hard to do! Moreover, most immigrants come to Canada because they expect that country to give them a life of luxury or at least a very easy life, which can be true, as compared to certain other countries where life can be hell because of corruption, poverty or mismanagement and dictatorship. Now, don't fool yourself, you will find all of this in Canada too, in a very different way, although not always that different, but you will find it to a certain extent, depending on what you are trying to do here! Canada pretends to be a free and democratic country, but if there is one thing, that you are not supposed to do in Canada without dire consequences and reactions from most Canadians, it is criticism and voicing dissent! You will face repression too! I am 67 and I have lived in this country for over 30 years and now have lots of health problems, which I would probably never have had in another country, all this because of the frigging climate here...I just hate it here! And yes, don't be cultured and...play stupid and ignorant, otherwise you will face automatic rejection and that same stupidity and ignorance! A country of many cultures...yes, but also of deep rooted prejudices and intolerance! And if there is something that never changes in Canada, it is change! They expect you to change, but they never change themselves! in a word...Canada is a country like all others, no better and often far worse!

I've lived here all my life. Worked here all my life. Only been out of the country for maybe 3 weeks total. I'm 66 years ago. One thing that really bothers me about canada, is that bad management seems to be almost everywhere. From the private sector to the public sector. I'm not saying everything is poorly managed, but my impression is that about 80% of it is. For example, canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world, and we import oil. I think immigrants should think about this before coming here. Do you really want to be part of a team like this? How do I get around this bad management. I work for myself.

Watched a lot of your videos. One thing which have bothered me is that you always have some objection or problem with the Pakistani System which you experienced and yet you chose to RUN away from it, instead of fighting. The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.

Good that u mentoned health care system Drew,but i think that you should've talk more about that.USA has one of the worst HC systems in the world,which means you dont have free health care and you need to pay for everything.. In Canada is totally different.We are witnessing this issue right now with Covid-19 where people need to pay around 35k $ for medicine and other stuff..

God this documentary is so flawed. The symphony? Really? You are comparing the 50s from today? There were much less immigrants in Canada back then. Hey Igor! I have a friend from Yemen who spent a lot of money in an attempt to get entry to Canada without success. He lost a total amount of $5000 to scammers. I totally agree with the masses,to get a job offer when you are outside Canada is very difficult.I sat for an assessment test,for one of Canada's reputable company.It took me more than two hours to finish,but when they realized that am outside Canada,there response was that,we have decided not move forward with your application.Other efforts have not even paid off,no responses.
