I’m a Canadian Citizen through my parent since age 5 years old and has lived in Canada almost of my life getting tired of how the system worked, deep down it’s like socialism system through the world it’s a greater country to visit but to live and raise your family it’s really a struggle almost in any aspects of area . Even though I’m working as a nursing field I realized Canada it’s really tough on work employment really discrimination etc….I’m here in USA so much freedom and life seems much decent living as long you know how to narrow it and live a peaceful life . Tremendously happy indeed to another country as ?????❤️

Great video, I'm glad you are willing to take off the rosy glasses to talk about Canadian reality. I'm a Canadian born myself and everything that was mentioned in the video is accurate in term of the struggles immigrants face. Canada is a very quiet, safe country and crime rate as well as violence in general is low. But Canada can still be as harsh as its climate so don't be fools, Canada is not Disneyland and it's not for everybody. Cities like Vancouver and Toronto are the most expensive cities in North America (Canada + USA) even more expensive than Los Angeles and Montreal is as expensive as New York. Therefore think twice, prepare yourself and do your research before applying. Using John F. Kennedy's famous quote I might add to conclude: \nDon't ask what CANADA can do for you but what YOU can do for Canada.

Thanks for making this video. After nearly 13 years as of Jan 1st 2022, I'll be leaving Canada on a one-way ticket; not to my country of origin, but further into new ventures.\n\nIt's been a slog to become a citizen and try and make life work here. It's a good place to be successful financially if you make sound choices, and then to live a fairly quiet, isolated life. If all you want is to live within your own ethnic community and have a better quality of life, it's a good place.\n\nUnfortunately, it's never had enough culture or meaning for me. Life feels pretty empty no matter how much money you make. The national identity being based around home-ownership feels extremely depressing to me.\n\nAnd you're both on point about the reserved, passive-aggressive nature of Canadians. I've become like that too now. It's pretty obvious that it costs us dearly; people are unable to be genuinely warm, to take risks and form real friendships. Everything feels surface-level because no one risks taking the steps that might even be a bit of intrusion into each other's lives that is the signal of the start of a close friendship. I'm sick of the surface relationships I've had here.\n\nAnd the wholesale import of U.S. narratives with complete ignorance of our own realities. Most Canadians think they live in the U.S. and seem unable to name a single important issue in their own province or country. I truly came to see the Canadians as a colonized people who refuse to truly admit that they are colonized behind a thin veneer of insecurity posing as a virtue-superiority complex.\n\nI sound harsh but it's the outpouring of someone who's fallen in and out of love with his country.\n\nI don't know what I will find on the other side, but it's going to be different and I honestly can't wait.

I’m Canadian born but mums family is from Europe. \n\nIt’s seems like not a lot has changed since the 1960’s my grandfather had trouble finding a job for a while due to not having Canadian experience. \n\nIt took my friends 7years to become citizens here. As a born Canadian. They had to go back to school. Unless you are in the medical profession I don’t see why you have to go back to school. \n\nMost of our health care does come from taxes yes I can’t tell you how great it is that I don’t have to pay $80,000 per surgery. I have 17 over my life. In other places in the world that would make me homeless. \nBut the dental care has cost me a lot because of my condition. But even for me that is a fair trade off. (I rather drugs, dental would be covered) \n\nTaxes also include subsided things for the public, libraries, roads that fixed, reduced fares for public transportation, reduced health cost for low income families that’s not covered by the government. etc. Not all great but the health care coverage is great to not have to pay in full. I only pay $6000 in taxes at most a year. I have a low income. The more you make the more they will tax you because it helps get the services for everyone. That’s why you are taxed more if you make more.

I know Canada is not perfect and I find you’re a bit hard on the red maple leaf... just because you don’t find the same things as your native country. It’s like\nfrench people coming from France, going to Quebec province an complaining about the food, the weather etc... well we’re not France, sorry to say! But I can\ntry to understand your situation; it’s probably inevitable that the comparison between your country and Canada would show up eventually. I see regularly \nimmigrants moving here and it’s true that it’s not easy. (Some people will have to be cab drivers because they can’t find work in their field). But you have\nopportunities if you work hard. I have the example of a Russian truck driver who move here with his family (wife, two kids). The man started by working for\na general transport company, then was able to buy his own truck. Now he’s able to work with whoever he wants. So I think every experience is different.\nOne other thing I noticed is that for families coming here it will always be easier for kids (even teens) to adapt quicker then their parents. I live in the east\n(the maritimes) and there is not very large cities. Some immigrants that come here will stay for a while but then they would move to a larger city (like\nToronto) because that city must have the most ethnic diversity in Canada. For cultural differences true that Canadians are like Americans in the «none»\nfashion trending. It’s a different mentality then Europe because over there fashion is a statement; you are judge on your appearance. Here, not as much.\nIt shows you don’t like winter and if you don’t your not a real Canadian! :-) Don’t generalize, a lot of people here like winter. And for taxes I don’t have a clear\nexplanation other then we have a huge empty country that needs roads, infrastructures, etc. and someone has to pay for it! (fun fact, all the population\nof Canada could fit in a country like Poland... it shows how empty it is here). Finally, and I heard this many times, maybe the people or the part of the\ngovernment to blame is Immigration Canada. Maybe they give to much of an idealistic image of Canada! I moved to Canada ?? in 2016 , in Winnipeg Manitoba which has freezing ? temperature in winter . Canada is massive even I face problems but I was flexible and I changed my career I was working and studying and I paid less fees same like Canadian citizen coz I came permanent resident . Some fields have more income and taxes but you will get benefits depending . Every country has problems and challenges but I love Canada ??. I did my home work in my home country. I have more Canadian friends then from my country. Love ❤️ you Canada ??.

Having 3 degrees including a MSc. I can confirm that it's hard to get even an acknowledgement from the employer. Lack of Canadian experience or education comes in way and almost feels like discrimination . So many people have to ditch their dreams for a survival job. It's a trade off not everyone is comfortable doing. It's a shame so much human capital is lost but it also provides cheap stable labour so I'm sure they won't complain.

I do not mean to be negative here but anyone of you who is well settled outside Canada, don't come to Canada!, unless you want to do labor work. I know people who have done Masters in Software engineering are working in a Pizza shops. If there is one job opening there are 10 thousand applicants for the same job. Companies showing fake jobs to satisfy govt. pressures. Automated refusals replies of your job applications are common.\n People get hired on sources and within companies. Racism exists, results are killings every now and then. Go and watch news channels like CP24. Thieves are here. Things do get stolen. Recently mass graves are found near schools in multiple areas of small children of indigenous people who were tortured and killed by white supremacy in the past. Recently a whole family is killed by a maniac. No capital punishments so killers, rapists walks free after 10-15 years tops.\n\nAshir sahib is being a little dramatic. I guess the agony of Pakistani bureaucracy has influenced him so negatively that in his mind he is comparing Pakistani life with Canadian life. He himself was driving truck initially. may be now a days retired or staying home or may have sufficient funds. But don't get too excited with his kind words. He is only showing the good side of Canada in some sort of excitement. \nThe bitter truth is that unemployment rate is too high here. Govt hides the truth. They couldn't even handle the pandemic properly. Alcohol is cheap marihuana (Hashish, Charas) is legal now. Every 3rd person is smoking weed. Drunk drivers kills innocents on roads often. Every region have different rules and regulations and policies. I moved to Niagara region and they charged me $200 deposit for water $200 deposit for hydro plus monthly bills separate. $1800 to $2000 is the rent of one bed apartment. Burlington where he lives has $2800 to $3000 rent monthly for a house. Go check online! Price of buying a home is in millions of dollars. Go check real estate.

I m from Lahore. Running my own business last year i made around 6 million pkr profit. And I started my business 3 years back. With lot of hard work and consistency i am able to make it and is hoping to increase it further. But after watching your videos i discussed my intention to try for Canadian Immigration with my wife.\nIs it worth trying for it?\nThe only reason is even after making good money you are ensalved to system. We work with different gov offices like fbr, customs and PRA. There attitude is pathetic that is why we have to work middle men and pay him commission. Moreover i m not able to adjust in this environment. The school system is pathetic. I don't like private schools and how they are looting middle class parents. Same is with Doctors. One of my friend who have well established textile business got their mother admitted to one very famous hospital in DHa lahore. Doctors almost killed her mother just to make more money. For very minor issue they paid around 2 million rs to different Private Doctors. And 3 to 4 operations without even doing ct scan. I luv my kids and would never like them to grow in this environment...

As a Canadian it really pisses me off to see people constantly coming here thinking that it’s gonna be a free ride and don’t even attempt to better their lives , like why did u come here? We have enough to worry about as it is !! My family came to this country as refugees and never acted so entitled

You’ve been in an English speaking country for awhile. So why do you need to communicate via Spanish? You should’ve learned the language by now. That’s the biggest thing, if you want to be a American or Canadian then learn the language. \n\nI’m Latin and my father n uncles hated going places in the US and another Latin would speak Spanish to them. Even though they could speak Spanish they said this is America speak English. \n\nNot all minorities like seeing people coming into the country illegally or by trying to use asylum when they have no claim. If it’s hard in your country don’t have kids, try to immigrate legally to a country!

The tax in Canada is not very high. At least compared to many other Western Nations. \nI came from Germany to Canada and the tax in Canada is a joke me according to me. Income tax with social contributions is roughly 42% even on average salaries in Germany. Sales tax is 19%. Cost for energy and fuel is almost ten times higher than in Canada.\nSure, Canada is pretty expensive. Housing, food and medication are massively overpriced compared to many at EU countries. I need medication every month and in Canada I pay roughly 180 Dollar while in Germany it was zero. Even without the health insurance I would only pay 30€ a month for that.\n\nOverall Canada is good, but doesn't necessarily offer a better quality of life. I only live here because I like Canadian people and the mentality is great.

Ah...a LOT of Canadian dudes leave their family for weeks, even months to make money up North! Why is this made to seem so horrible and dramatic...Like, it cost us 15, 000 dollars ourselves to move to Sacramento with my husband's job with the Hard Rock Cafe Corp....we were living at the poverty line there...my husband was never home...my Visa was cancelled after 911. Gratefully, I was able to just boot it back home to Canada I detested living in the U. S , and only went along to support my American born husband, anyway. It seems to me that these ppl's expectations were uninformed and unrealistic. Canada is a welcoming refuge, but as with everything, theres a process to becoming Canadian.

Canada has a very high cost of living. In Toronto or Vancouver,$1800/month rent for an average apartment, houses are at least $750,000 in a decent area. Cellphone and internet rates are among highest in world. Groceries and alcohol are expensive compared to US and UK. Extreme cold weather 5 months a year even in southern cities like Toronto. Spotty transit service compared to European and Asian cities. Much of the country is undeveloped because of extreme weather. Most Canadians live within 60 miles of the USA border.\n\nAdvantages of Canada : it is reasonably rich and technologically advanced. Free and democratic although not like the USA. Lots of open space outside large cities. And very quiet , peaceful but uneventful country.

Canada is better in many aspects but in general wayyy better , in Usa u can make money ,make good business less taxes ok better weather in some places mayb less boring ,BUT in Canada u r treated as a human being ur children get free education, free health care ,child benefits,welfare, many otther benefits, , see usa worship money ,capitalism , guns, violence,and wars they dont give a shit about human s health or life,see Canadians are healthier than most American .in USa see how they treat Black Africans Americans they never wanted to admit that they are full Americans just like white they worked hard but they wanted to keep them under their feet by keeping them in ghettos to keep the white supremacy !! Canada is one of the worst places to immigrate to. I’m Canadian. I know what it’s like to live here. Plus I’m indigenous. So I’ve face racism and prejudice. Many think my people gets free handouts. From my experience that’s far from the truth. I’ve left my community for a better education. I was completely alone without parents and my siblings, living with an aunt that used me for another pay check. I couldn’t go to college because I couldn’t afford it, even tho I got accepted into three colleges. Now I’m working a part-time job that forces me to stand on my feet all day. Not many job opportunities are out here unless you’ve gone to college or obtain training. plus the rate for rent is horrendous.

To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

Originally this comment was like the size of a book talking about just some of the specific examples of Police and civilian racism I witnessed with my own Caucasian eyes in this country. I am extremely patriotic and I love being Canadian but I have been saying for years that we have problems when it comes to racism but no one here wants to even acknowledge it. Of course we're not as bad as our neighbors but at least they talk about it and seem to want to come to terms with their bigotry and institutionalized racism in society. As long as we keep pretending we don't TO THIS DAY have an ongoing history with systemic racism in politics, policing and even in the workplace than we will never in real life be the actual Canada we try to tell the world and ourselves we really are and that makes me deeply sad and ashamed.

I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

*Say what you may, I just love Canadians and how they handle matters. Even their worst challenges seem like a walk in the park compared to other places.*

At least two more differences between the US and Canada (I'm a Montrealer myself with American-born parents):\n\n1) When going to the different parts of Canada, they feel that much more different from each other (in the buildings, highway signs, etc.) than the different parts of the US. For example, British Columbia feels like a foreign country compared to not just Quebec (the most obviously different province in Canada) but also compared to Nova Scotia or Manitoba, whereas Washington state or Minnesota is less different than Pennsylvania or Massachusetts.\n\n2) Native Americans (or First Nations, as they're called in Canada) make up a way higher proportion of the Canadian than American population, though less so percentage-wise in Montreal or Toronto or even Quebec City, and they are thus much more in the consciousness of the average Canadian than the average American.

Wonderful reporting! I am a Canadian in Greece and finally the Greek government has realised they need to close their borders from the invasion of ILLEGAL MIGRANTS. It is like a war zone on the border now. You can learn from the Greek experience. It is destroying the islands where there are still 60000 illegals camped out. With this new threat it is even more important! Canada needs to wake up!

While racism is real, there are certain people from some religious dicatorships in Canada spying on the free people of this country and making people uncomfortable too. there are those who want to push their beliefs on all Canadians and there has to be a balance in terms of acceptance and inclusiveness. I find many times people also play the race or discrimination card to push their beliefs and ways of life on others while I have heard them for example swear at and judge Canadians for example who don't cover up their hair or wear mini skirts......that is also discrimination and judgement and is also 100% wrong, even though they may be doing it quietly or in their own language. There is sometimes (besides obvious cases of racism of course) that there are 2 sides to the story! People that come to Canada also need to respect its values of respect for all, not just ask for it for themselves. While a lot of wonderful people come here and have the utmost respect for Canada that is NOT the case with those pushing their beliefs and particularly religious views on the rest of Canadians making them feel like outsiders I have heard many stories about.

I see a lot of muslims defending there culture but what i want tell you guys is indians don't like Americans don't like you Germans don't want you in there country and now even canadians which are considered some of the nicest people on earth don't want you in there country so there is something wrong with your culture and not ours

Racism has always been in Canada, dont be fooled. It may not be as prevalent as in other countries but racism is in fact here in Canada, I grew up here, Im a black born Canadian and dealt with it all my life. Mostly just taunting and name calling but one thing is certain, wherever you find white people you will find a lot of ignorance and even the good ones seem to always be a step or 2 away from a racist rant when they agitated. As long as they don't get violent with non whites then I guess we can deal with the slander and name calling. As a person with a darker hue, you will always be looked at like you are an Alien to them.

As a permanent resident based on merit who worked two years to get it, I feel like my work was worthless because people who simply bought their citizenship and can’t even speak English or have any basic merits to qualify for PR are all too common in Canada. The Canadian skilled migration is a scam, skilled workers are better off going somewhere they will actually be valued.

Moving to Vancouver was a great experience tbh, I'm of nigerian heritage but was born in Finchley, North London...\nCanadians are friendly and extremely welcoming ( Coming from the UK i found this so off-putting ) lol. Ironically its non-white Canadians i had funny experiences with.... from dating to renting its weird\n\n\nAsians under 27 always asking some crazy questions ( Are you an NBA player ) lol it's cute at first but after a while when little koreans walk up to me talking about ( You look like will smith ) it makes you think... To be fair these are not inherent negatives, But asian canadians alone did treat me weird i found, Indian girls i met all wanted to be with me but where also very ashamed to say so or let their family know, but thats a cultural thing so i understood.\n\n\n Of all the demographics White canadian and native men where the most welcoming and open to me, in my experience.. White women of-course where cool too but that does not really count, especially as a good looking black guy with an accent LOOL you know how that goes!! My Tinder and Bumble were obscene LMAO\n\nRenting from asians while black and Male!? is almost impossible!!! Except they think you have rich parents!! Its impossible in Van unless you are an Arab exchange student lol \nArab and Persian students studying english have no issues renting in Vancouver, for some reason!!\n\nI lived out the St. Regis downtown for a month, Looking for places to rent, i had seen so many places online and filled out applications but never got call backs, asides from 2 group showings i went to, i could not even set up a viewing with the apartment building i wanted... \n\nTill i met an african girl in school, and she told me something i found completely crazy.\nShe told me to make a new e-mail addy and to use my English name when i e-mail, then set up a viewing but to show up with a white friend preferably a girl and that if the owner is asian, i should look around, and offer to pay 6months upfront before they get a chance to ask what i did for work or whether i was a student or not LOL. Needless to say, i did what she said and It worked the asian lady asked me to come get the keys later that day. Its just life, as a property owner they really just wanna size you up, not fair and kind of pathetic but its not inherently evil...

growing concern for Born in Canada Canadians...as we enjoyed our country the way it was before it was destroyed...our religions are even destroyed-Muslims in our Catholic schools and churches. Number one she's a complete f****** liar. Number two she's using stats that are not verified by any government agency anywhere. But you didn't notice they get the same benefits as Canadian citizens. Which is all the welfare that can digest. Here in the United States they get permanent residency and citizenship right away. Once they get refugee status they never have to work a day in their life in this country they will be funded in full by the American taxpayer. Then they will sponsor all the relatives. They're five sisters which are really their wives. This is what people are not understanding what's going on. Looking what's happening in Dearborn Michigan cured in 10 years the population has quadrupled. It does not even look like an American city anymore

I am actually shocked by people in the comment here. All talked like you knew a lot of things of immigration and citizenship. Loll but many don’t even know the first thing, the difference between permanent residence and citizenship. Immigration jail is referred to PR required living time in Canada. PR don’t have a Canadian passport and only citizens can have it. Once you are a Canadian citizen, you don’t need to live in Canada for a required time. China does not allow dual citizenship and that is why they try to scam the system to make up the living time in Canada.

Why do people apply for a citizenship while not wanting to live there? I really doubt that these Chinese people want to move to Canada ever. They don't even speak English. Is Canadian cititzenship a status symbol now in China? Like iphones or teslas?

I remember when my family immigrated here over 15+ years ago and my brother was only 1 years old. 2 weeks after coming here he slipped on the floor and cut open his forehead on the hinges of our door and he was bleeding everywhere (he later had to get 6 stitches to fix it), my father was out working and we didn't know how to contact the police or hospital because we didn't have a home phone yet. We used our neighbors and the ambulance came and I strictly remember that because we didn't have our health cards yet they wouldn't start work even though my father said he will pay when he gets there. I remember my mother and I feeling helpless while my 1 year old brother was bleeding out (the hospital staff tried to stop the bleeding with cotton ball and bandage) and I distinctly remember that they did not start helping my brother even WHILE my father was paying but only started work after the bill was completed. Even though my family felt helpless at that time and we felt it was unfair, we never blamed Canada because it was their policy and they have every right to follow protocols. So it makes me angry to see people who walked into our country illegally getting far better treatment than my family ever got even though it might not be anything as life threatening as ours was. It makes me angry that our hard earned tax dollars are used to help people who have no motivation to help the country that gave them asylum during war.. It's actually the opposite as a lot of these families call their free housing "disgusting" and compare it to "living like a slave". I'm angry because little girls at my brothers own school are getting shoved and assaulted by refugee boys as young as 6-7 and are let off with a simple "don't do that again" and a meeting with the parents. This is not the Canada my family came to love and call home so I can't imagine the hardships of Canadians who are living here for 3, 4, 5+ generations 😔😔

This was a horribly done story. It doesn't talk enough about the money or incentives. What financial incentive did these fake immigrants have to pay thousands of dollars to become a Canadian citizen. They briefly mention a low income benefit but don't even basically explain to what it amounts. Was Canada paying these fake citizens thousands of dollars a year in cash benefits for fake reports on low income earnings? It's like doing a story on a mass murderer, how he murdered and giving no background on his mental health or motivation.

Man this guy is a bloody genius!!! However, the Canadian law regarding immigration fraud is very much susceptible to exploitation, it most be fixed, if they don't want to raise the jail sentence, they most at least seize something like 85% of the illegal money from the scheme or even a little higher than that.

They are not immigrants, they are just buying a insurance policy illegally of course. Those people never wanted to live in this country, their optimal goal is buying a Canadian passport (in case of need) without even visiting Canada.\nMost reported Chinese Canadian immigrants are like this, I knew few, they visited Cananda maybe twice in the last 10 years, or some max once a year (for a two weeks summer holiday). 1. its just wt rich ppl with money do, they dont put their eggs in one basket and spread their wealth all over the world. the political climate in china probably further extravagate this even further as they have no real security to their assets, the government can seize any time for legal reasons (china have tax but nobody pays them, the government doesnt collect business and personal tax as their revenue. but if u get on their wrong side they will use this as an excuse. if u pay taxes properly u cant compete with ppl who dont, so yea governement use this shady trick in china).\nJust look at any millionare, they probably have investment all over the world. the reason y we r seeing this with chinese is that they've gotten their wealth recently and have just started this diversification of asset hence the scale and timing. japanese had their time, Indians will probably have their time soon once they develop. its like seeing lottery winners buying ferrari, just a normal thing to see, but ppl will get uncomfortable and shame them lol.\n2. this reason is minor but chinese passport is really inconvenient when travelling, having a canadian or US passport helps alot if they r doing international business.\n\nNow to the claims of taking over and colonisation, the ppl claiming colonisation r probably from US canada or australia. ppl r mostly afraid of the things theyve done or think to do to others, i doubt any chinese are thinking about colonisation when its not really their mindset. the worst chinese are thinking are u praising or kowtow them, otherwise they really dont care hence y they kinda just live in their own little groups rather than aggresively pushing political agenda on ur face.

They get 50k and then can apply for social benefits like other Canadians even though they’re NOT Canadians? Their kids go to public schools, and probably get free lunch and other things, at the benefit of tax payers. Asian immigrants are a different breed. This is the most biased Canadian propaganda I've ever heard. I was standing in line at city hall in Calgary (paying my past due power bill which I can barely afford, even though I make 40k a year.) and watched a flood of immigrants in front of me claiming their 100% free bus passes. Apparently, you need an authorisation letter from welfare to claim your free bus pass, yet, none of them seemed to have documentation that matched their id. One guy picked up six free bus passes with a stack of letters that didn't match his name, or, even surname, at all. The cashiers seemed like they had just given up and handed over the bus passes saying, "next time make sure the person named in the letter is here to pick it up in their free pass person." <sigh>

What are people talking about saying half of Canada is french! Canadians are English and there used to be tons of us in Montreal, but 300,000 left in a mass exodus to get the French whip off their backs, they even fill the French text books with lessons given by the French whip instead of the truth about how the French didn't want to fight in the war and the old cemeteries are full of Irish, Scottish and British soldiers like my grandfather and uncle buried in veteran memorial plots with sad little Quebec government markers! Meanwhile, their English speaking grandchildren like myself not only have a back full of lash marks from the French whip but the French speaking immigrants think they can use the French whip to grind us into the ground our ancestors are buried in as well!!!

Leaving the U.S. which is as free as Canada is not a reason to accept individuals based on a refugee status. Most countries are welcoming immigrants. But stop trying to jump the line ahead of others. Canada has always been great neighbors with our American counterparts. Sick of hearing stories like that, I understand the fact that she doesn't represent any Canadian, ( including herself since she was drunk and said sorry later) but still annoying. My concern is the other Canadians, Individual haters always exist but stop those individuals up to other Canadians. According to the laws of America TRUMP had the authority to stop immigration from certain countries but the Canadian laws don't give TRUDEAU the power to unilaterally change immigration policy.\nTrudeau believed like OBAMA that the Liberal media and self censorship of the citizens (afraid to speak up and be branded as racists or even lose their jobs) who disagreed with him would allow him to do what he wants.

I think both cultures are too severe/extreme. women covering their faces in hot summer while Canadian women stand waiting outside for taxis to go get drunk wearing skirts even hooker's wouldn't wear in the eighties. or wearing nylons as pants and that's it. where is modesty that doesn't make you almost pass out from heat exhaustion, or modesty that doesn't make you look like a hooker? where is that old saying......happy medium?
