Legal immigration is only a positive thing if those coming in are doing it legally and are willing to adopt the countries cultural values and legal structure. If they don't, then they will cause unnecessary division and stress on the infrastructure. Diversity is only a strength if it leads to unity of purpose and vision. Otherwise, a nation divided cannot, and will not stand.

Sadly this will bring rise to racism and affect most of the cultures. We really are heading backwards by failing to replenish a new system collaborating with different cultures to strive for innovation and development. If immigration is streamlined and not tolerated appropriately, this only leads to rejection to culture irrespective of race.

If any country is struggling to provide infrastructure to its living population it has moral duty to introduce strict limits on immigration, until these problems are addressed. Not doing so will lead to impoverished society and there’s nothing xenophobic about actively preventing this.

I get that there is a huge problem in Canada with immigration but this interviewer asks too many leading yes/no questions. Can't really get a clear sense of what the interviewees actually feel and have experienced as opposed to what the interviewer wants to hear.

If housing, jobs, healthcare, and education are not adequately addressed, people can become hopeless and susceptible to manipulation by far right extremist groups. I live in Rochester, NY and travel to Toronto frequently. The traffic on the QEW is starting to become an issue. There's always a backup leading into the Gardiner Expressway. They were too many condos that were built and downtown and which is super unaffordable.

The vast majority of people are not against immigration per se, they just want it to be done at a pace that it doesn't change the fabric of society. There are countries where this happens, and they don't experience the evaporation of social cohesion we've seen in Western Europe. Immigration can boost economies and foster diplomatic ties between nations if done well. If done badly, it leads to chaos.
