It is reported in New Zealand that a huge percentage of Indian visa applications contain false information and Indian's make up a high proportion of illegal immigrants in NZ, hence the scruitiny that Indian passport holders are under when applying for a visa to visit, work or study in NZ. Human trafficking is also an issue NZ is trying to stamp out and India is a source country of illegally trafficked people.

Theres no wars in india, the country os a superpower. Maybe this channel needs to report how corrupt the Indian government and ask why are indian people moving out.

You talked around the real issue but call yourself a reporter. \nHere's the real reason:\nVivek Rama made a recent comment that got wyte Americans upset...and now wyte America has a distrust towards Indians and feel like Indians are forgetting their place in the American racial ladder...Also, wyte populations are shrinking around the world. Time to slow down with this immigration. I'm all for it because as an FBA, I mostly see these entitled Indians coming here to the states and they are racist towards me and my ppl. Offcourse India is third largest economy, but UNICEF reports show 22% Indian household don't have toilets, 58% preschool had no toilet. And 90% Indian don't return after they landed 1st world country.

This is shallow journalism and the genuine reasons are missing. For example a recent report states high rate of non compliance among indian students in foreign universities. Bringing nationalism into the picture was unnecessary at the very least.

Most rejection is for first time visitors, low bank balance, health check up (negative) report, applicants cibil are being checked, past visits and returns within time, reason for travel mismatch...

I was surprised that the video didn't mention the scam involving low-skilled labor from the UAE. Many companies and brokers bring thousands of low-skilled, low-educated workers on short-term visas (as short as three months for two years of employment). These workers often end up being misled and become illegal immigrants because companies prefer to pay the fine, which is cheaper than a two-year visa. Additionally, these companies often retain the passports of the workers, preventing them from returning to their home countries even if they wish to do so. This practice severely impacts the workers and contributes to the bad reputation of the Indian passport, as statistics show an increasing number of Indian passport holders not respecting visa durations.\n\nThe UAE is home to over 3.89 million Indian expats, constituting over 37.96% of the country’s total population. Reports indicate that a significant number of these workers do not respect the time limitations of their visas, further exacerbating the issue.\n\nI do believe, as this is more likely to affect the situation than any conspiracy theories.

Wow! It is good to see some objectivity in the reporting instead of the usual self agrandizing and singing paeans about how welcoming foreign immigration authorities are when they see our passports.

I’m not Indian National however I feel proud that this nation has build ‘herself’ as the 5th largest global economy and if some of the following ways are adapted by Indian Gov, the Indian passport will be saluted.\n1) Make your currency strong as in Raja Ranjeet Singh’s time 1 Indian puree was ten (£10) British Pounds, today it’s 100 Rupee to £1.\n2) Need to hold educational tests for everyone going abroad with a minimum level of English language.\n3) Emphasis on etiquettes and local Knowledge of the country where the traveller wants to visit.\n4) Stop all of illegal immigration via people smuggling agents as this gives a bad name to the country.\n5) Set a minimum benchmark amount of funds required before applying for an overseas visa.\n6) Make it mandatory for all travellers to have a full fare return ticket (12 months validity) on them at all times to show strong ties to return back home after trip.\n7) Create strong religious tolerance and harmony within the country so the world can see no religious discrimination being reported on international media worldwide.\n8) The Indian embassies all around the world should be aware and weary of each Indian national traveling abroad in real time so they f any help is require they can assist 24/7 without failure.\nThese are some of my points and opinions for a better India.\nI hope the people who read above will not be offended by any of my opinions as this is not my intention and I am well wisher and want to see this nation thrive, always.\nGood luck and all the best…

This woman is complete liar and always busy trying to glorify India and is never ready to show the other side of the story. For instance how many Indians have overstayed their visa in US & in Schengen area. Also how we make fraudulent documents for visa application or even for study or work abroad things. Palio I’m always left baffled and speechless every time I see your one sided report. A fifth grader with common sense who’s never been to a journalism school can do a better report than you. First of all this reporter is biased and always tries to hide the skeletons in the closet. I will tell you which is real elephant in the room. You know why countries like Cuba and their passports are more powerful than Indian passports? Because after the visit Cubans return back to their country whereas Indians will stay back in the host nation by any means. Ms Sharma, You should be objective about reporting rejections. The problem is within our borders. Our poverty and a large young population create wealth asymmetry. Many try to immigrate by hook or crook. This is the sad truth. Please do an objective reporting as a follow-up showing the cause of rejections and the truth may reveal itself

What crappy reporting. Every country uses reciprocal visa policies. India has very stringent visa policy hence the reciprocal treatment. The fake students India exports is also a big big reason for the lower passport ranking.

It's a stupid report, obviously the visa rejection will be high if the visa applications are high from a most populated country in the world it's basic common sense , i would say India have the highest visa grant these days, I'm from India came to Australia it's not ecen harf if u have the right documents and if you're not faking anything, I'm pretty sure the rejections are mostly because of fake documents especially from Punjab and Haryana so it's good that they are not letting fake people i mean then what's the point of doing all this right way? Most Indian have to seek job overseas because their own country is so corrupted and yet jobs only for the Indian privilege and the abuse of Visa by Indians. Many Indian people go to Canada on student visas and never report to the college. They end up as illegals in the USA and Canada. They come from one specific region of India. This hurts the Indian passport ranking.

Before we cry foul about why our passport ranks low or why visas keep getting denied, maybe we should take a hard look in the mirror. Here's some eye-opening news to chew on from Canada: nearly 50K international students who got study permits to Canada decided to play hooky and never showed up at the colleges and universities they were supposed to attend. Ohh, and guess what? a whopping 20,000 of them are Indians. These folks were reported as non-compliant with their student visas, ditching the whole 'studying' part of the deal. Instead, some are busy with doing illegal jobs, while others have allegedly slipped across the border into the US illegally. But sure instead of earning the respect, let's kee p demanding for it...
