If you have insurance in the US are you 100% covered for doctor visits, surgeries, hospital stays and medical tests? In Canada we are covered for all these things and there’s no bill after we receive these services. A family of 4 pays about $17000 a year in taxes to cover these things. This would be about $12000 USD. A family of 4 in the US pays about $24000 per year in insurance and still have to pay for services. I think we have the better deal.

I am just listening to this and as a Canadian I have hundreds of US friends who cannot afford health insurance at all, for others they paying $600 per month plus for insurance with huge copays and very often can’t pay for meds. I think you are truly uninformed on the US healthcare availability. I would think the chances are of walking into an er and being seen in less than 30 mins unless they were in critical condition. The US is one of the unhealthiest nations in the developed world, with a shorter lifeline than most others. Take a look at GoFundMe medical needs and you will be devastated. You see in Canada tariffs on Colombian products would never happen, because Columbia only produces coffee legally for us. And Canadians love coffee too much.

So let me make sure I understand! We, the US people, will be paying 25% more for all products coming in from Columbia. No one in Columbia will pay extra. This would essentially slow down products coming in from Columbia or any other country. The US people pay for this. It could or will change the behavior of these countries, but WE pay for this!!!
