As an American, I don’t watch CNN clips and believe what politicians say on either side to get my news. However, it’s absolutely true that EU, and China places tariffs on the US. It is also true that United States provide most of the security for all the free nations. At what point do we say enough? I do not know if Mexico or Canada has tariffs on US goods before this. But if they did, they have become quite entitled, haven’t they.

This isn’t’anti-Americanism’ how about anti-Canadian? As an American I can only say this breaks my heart that Donald continues to sever relationships with our nearest neighbors and Allie’s. How sad for all of us. Now tighten your belts America. This will hurt but Donald will tell you how great this is for everyone in his usual stupid bravado.

As an American, I congratulate Prime Minister Trudeau for his bravery and leadership to stand against the spineless GOP.

As an American that saw the writing on the wall 7 years ago and left, I thank you Mr. Trudeau. You, and Canada are very much respected, and the world listens. While I acknowledge that the way Trump and Vance addressed Zelensky could have been more diplomatic, as an American , I cannot justify allocating $360 billion of our tax funds towards resolving another counties war—especially when only half of that amount has been accounted for, and the other half remains untracked. Let that point sink in! The US is currently in $33 Trillion dolars in debt yet giving away money like candy . No other country is contributing money like we are . We simply do not have the resources to continue doing that . Our financial situation is worsening as we print more money to allocate toward other countries. Furthermore, 7% of the $33 trillion of the US debt is owed by other countries , including China . Our funds need to be utilized for our own benefit before being given away. We have veterans on the streets, the elderly suffering because SS isn't covering their basic needs , school system thatvis failing , health insurance unaffordable by most. We need to fix our own issues. We need to feed our own kids before we feed the neighbors, not the other way around.

As an American, who did not vote for trump i side with our neighbors in Canada, then and now. America should maintain and further their status as leader of the free world and free trade. Not try to bully other countries, especially not our neighbors and allies.

i hope you can stand the eventuality and significant economic and interpersonal effect this will promote. i agree principally with none of this, its unnecessary and extremist in leaning. but i can stand it and saw this ahead of time as eventual. my question is can you stand these economic effects . did they ask you on the campaign trail? well . i also suspect as an independent that we will be both affected and tested. Consider those in power in government and big business who see to these situations becoming realities for American citizens , remember they live in mansions and have generational wealth. they can lose billions and withstand it. They will not now or ever feel the effects of their poorly thought through actions. we will. we will have to. I'll never ask anyone to do something i wont.i suspect our leading majority which i came from formerly up until this point wont balance this situation. keep that in mind.
