I’ve lived in both countries in small towns and big cities Hell No Thanks and I would have great insurance. I remember in preschool having to do active shooter drills in the US nope. If you look at stats on gun violence and mass shootings it’s crazy. The US leads by an astronomical amount. Tyler says the US has more access to guns and although I have no idea where to get a gun I think people could get one pretty easily but we don’t need them. I can walk in the dark and not fear for my safety and Canada has only had 3 mass shootings in its whole history. Of course medical, dental, education, women’s rights, maternity and paternity leave, unemployment, help when Covid lockdown happened, clean free water in homes, housing, … on and on. America the “free” is antiquated and no longer true. Education has slid to 30 something in world rankings and Canada is in the top 3. Cost of education, daycare, child benefits ect. I could write paragraphs. Also it’s hilarious when you hear American say oh we’ll just moved to Canada like they can just drive here and settle down?!?there’s a border and you can’t illegally just move here and get a job. If you’ve lived in both countries you’d know the difference. I don’t even want to vacation there anymore since about 10 years or so ago.

Well, as a Canadian, I guess i'll pitch in.\nWould I move to the US? The short answer is no. But I will explain more in detail.\n\nFirst, I do not see any advantages to the US compared to Canada. Americams often tout their country as the beacon of freedom and the land of opportunities, but I don't feel that Canada is so different there. We're actually higher on the world freedom index, and its not like our economy was in shambles and everyone dirt poor... We pay more taxes, fine, but we also get more services in return, and that last part has the advantage to remove a big layer of worry. Like, for healthcare, I don't have to worry if i'm covered by insurance or not, or if the insurance carrier will drop me on some technicality. I'm a citizen. All the basic needs are covered; no questions asked (and the healthcare quality is not half bad. We just prioritize urgent cases over non-urgent; so if you go to the hospital for something non-urgent, you will wait, and more urgent cases will pass before you. Annoying when it happens, but I understand and agree with that in the end)\n\nSecond, I do see a lot of disadvantages. All the points raised in the video are valid, from the private-sector healthcare system, the gun control laws (or lack thereof), the social policies and legislation in some states; they don't agree with me.\n\nI think it comes down to some specific social and cultural ideas that are prevalent or at least present in a substantial manner in the american society. Bear in mind that I am generalizing here, not every american believes these points, but many do. I'm talking about ego, nationalism/patriotism, secularism etc.\nI feel that the US often has a really overinflated vision of itself. Like, the idea that America is the best. At everything. Wich is factually not true, but this idea also poisons the debate on many issues, and tends to limit social introspection that could lead to real advances.\n\nI've also noticed that the american basic school system is strongly patriotic. Everyone in the US is taught a lot about the US themselves in school, but not much about the rest of the world. Not great for open mindedness and introspection when you have little comparison points.\n\nAndlets not delve into the religious aspect. I've seen a poll somewhere where 48% of americans were AGAINST the separation of church and state. For me thats not only insane, its dangerous. It fits the individualistic mentality where people can more easily start thinking that their way is THE way. It creates a very polarized society much more prone to high volatility.\n\nSo, yeah, no, I wouldn't live in the US. I'd much rather stay in Canada where i don't have to worry if I get sick or hurt, if some agressive drunk idiot in a bar is armed, or if some fundamentalists from some religious congregation is gonna be able to try to politically force their point of view.

I suggest google’n “ school shootings, small town America”…. article after article, when you do, says why most mass school shootings tend to happen in small towns….where nobody expects that they would have happened & how all the residents in those towns are always surprised that they happened in their town. \nI say this as somebody who once loved the idea of moving to the USA. \nMy mom was a single parent and as a result I spent a ton of time as a very young kid in the late 80s throughout the mid 90s in a small town in Oregon on my aunt and uncles dairy farm with my cousins and I absolutely loved it. Truthfully, I still love small-town America and I love the vast majority of the people I have met from small-town America. There is the friendliness and community that I find very similar to prairie farming towns in Canada. \n And as a kid, I loved the focus on high school sports in the small USA town I spent time in and how it brought the community together. It was very exciting to go to my cousins football games—stuff like that was super fun as a kid.\nAs an adult, with 2 young kids of my own now? \nYes, I would be terrified to send my children to any school in the United States, especially knowing that the vast majority of my school shootings do happen in small towns, which is a type of place in the states I would personally like to go to, if I did move. \n\nAdditionally, I will be completely bankrupt at this point given my own health issues as well as my two kids health issues and I’m just in my late 30s. \nAnd I’m not talking to super crazy health issues, but health issues nonetheless. I have asthma that has gone through patches where I’ve had to be hospitalized & I was diagnosed with stage 3 malignant melanoma when I was in my late 20s and pregnant with my 2nd. My first child was born with a congenital heart disorder that was missed through the pregnancy and until she was two, and that involved many many trips to the hospital & various specialists until they figured out what was going on (one of the symptoms was her randomly stopping breathing and going blue, which was terrifying, and could’ve been for many different reasons & it took many specialists & many hospital visits to figure it all out)\nMy son was born with a multiple protein intolerance and later received an autism diagnosis. There a decent number of hospital visits and specialists for his first couple of years of life too. \n\n I have no idea if I was in the United States how I would’ve paid for any of our health issues (let alone all three of ours) for that 5 or 6 year period where we all needed various types of regular-ish medical care. \n(because we got good medical care, thankfully, none of us have really had to see doctors any more than the average person in the last few years?)\n\nMy kids are now in elementary school, and, as a Canadian, the issue of school shootings happening anywhere….., including in small towns that seem perfectly safe……as well as the cost of healthcare for stuff that is covered by our taxes here in Canada….. are the two biggest reasons that I will think fondly of my time in small-town America, but would never consider moving there

I have spina bifida and I’ve had 20+ surgeries. I’m not leaving a country that kept me out of bankruptcy and death and kept me from getting shot. I’m white, but I’m not playing Russian Roulette with my life. I just in the last few years discovered cannabis as relief for my chronic pain. I know there are some places where it’s legal, but it isn’t worth the risk for me. I remember visiting LA when I was 12 and hearing about how cool and hip Beverly Hills was. When I got there, it looked worse than the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, which is one of the poorest, most crime filled places in Canada. It was scary. That’s not the kind of “freedom” I’m looking for. You can’t exercise any freedom when you’re 6 feet under.

Oh no, I don’t like it when Americans see stuff like this. One of Canadian’s less admirable qualities is that we can be a little smug when comparing ourselves to the US.\n\nTo cheer Tyler up there are some things I prefer about the states. Where I live in Vancouver we’re quite cliquish and don’t talk to strangers, but when I’m in the states I can make a new best friend in a subway ride.\n\nAmericans are also extremely charitable. If you look at the rates of charitable giving in the US vs Canada there is no comparison.

I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... And just when I think you guys aren't that bad off, I watch an episode of John Oliver's This Week Tonight, and a plethora of new reasons spring up. \n\nRight now in Canada, there is a Conservative Party that is starting to adopt the MAGA philosophy of consorting with white supremacism, fascism, misogyny and racist, and I cannot imagine moving to a place where this stuff is running rife. \n\nTyler, you are a lovely example of a decent American, and in truth, when visiting the States (which I haven't done for years), I met more people like you than like MAGA. However, my tolerance for stupid, hateful people is far lower since Trump was elected, and I swore I would not visit the US again until the WH, Congress and the Senate clean house of the Republican scourge. \n\nBut moving to the US would never be an option for me. I love Canada. I live in one of the most beautiful parts of Canada - Vancouver Island. I was born here and have visited many places in the world, but this is, and will forever be, home!

No they want to come here spend our hard earned tax dollars and send our money back to their country and build houses and we as Americans can't go in their country and take over they'll kill our ass and put us in the garbage . We have our own problems here in the United States already send them back where they came from . At some point I will stop voting here and leave this place because we don't ever get what we need we're working to give away our pensions social security will eventually vanish and all of our life we work our fingers to the bone and this is the thanx we get . Poverty is here in America why allow illegal immigrants to come here and give them what belongs to US. NO SEND THEM PACKING . I DON'T CARE WHO DISAGREE WITH ME . Our money is sent back to their countries to help them better themselves when in reality we cant afford this huge crisis in the United States !

Lack of affordable housing -- lack of housing in general -- is the main reason people already living here are being priced out and why so many refugees and immigrants cannot afford the cost when they move here. When these people come to Canada for a better life and/or to escape the suffering that they were living in, they cannot bring their homes with them. It is the government's responsibility at all levels to ensure that these newcomers have a place to go when they come here. A homeless shelter should not be the answer. Buy up office spaces and convert them (if safe to do so with whatever codes need to be met) into affordable housing units. For years we've been seeing hundreds of news articles about vacancies in office buildings being at all time highs, yet only a handful of them are being converted. 500,000 people a year entering a country where there isn't enough housing for them (let alone the people living here already) is irresponsible on the government's part. If this is your pledge, at least give these people a better life and not send them to shelters or onto the streets as soon as they arrive. If Canada is to truly be a safe haven for immigrants and refugees escaping their hardships, it's paramount that the government does what it can to make these people actually feel like their life will change for the better. I'm all for immigration since it helps the economy and knowing that Canada can put people in a better position for themselves and their families, but it's the lack of preparation from the governments that makes me question their pledge in this way.

You appreciate Bharat most when you fall ill abroad. Here we get a doctor or a nursing home where you get attention almost immediately. In the West you sometimes have to wait for days before you get an appointment with a doctor.\nEven transport is more easily available in India. You are not dependant on other people to take you here and there.

Having lived in most provinces and visited dozens of cities such a Yellowknife (in December) I love all of them. Though I have a secret passion for Montreal it's by far the most cosmopolitan city in all of Canada. Yes Canada does have winter months where they are most severe in the northern cities. When you add it up it's how the people interact in a friendly manner which is why I feel best in Montreal.

For me, I live in Vancouver, but when I'm done college, I'm hoping to find a job in Seattle and immigrate there. They recently opened up a Pokemon HQ there, Nintendo's hiring, Seattle's the HQ of Bungie, the maker of the Destiny games and much more! I feel like it's easier to find a job in the US than in Canada. In fact, my college instructor said so. There's more jobs there than in this small town. I'm heading towards SFU and I'm hoping to land a few coops, including one in Seattle to see if I like it there. And no, I do not care about healthcare, mass shootings or politics. The chances of you randomly being shot is about the same as getting ran over by a car. For healthcare, it's usually provided by your employer. But otherwise, you can buy it yourself as there's many options to choose from. Some of them are really good, but people are just overgeneralizing everything. My hope is that employment will eventually lead to permanent residency. Then, I can go buy a house in Texas, Florida or Colorado where it's much cheaper than Vancouver

Take a gander at any large, medium, and even a few small cities.\n\nHave you ever heard of Detroit (once proud home of my beloved Motown music), Baltimore (complete devastation), or Chicago (my home town—don’t make me cry)?\n\nThe entire homeless situation started when mental hospitals were snake pits and certain factions demanded that people be released.\n\nSure, it sounds humanitarian but they didn't bother to consider what would happen to mentally ill patients suddenly left to their own devices on the streets.\n\nThe do gooders actually were foolish enough to believe that the seriously ill patients (schizophrenic, bipolar, borderline, and plenty of others) would take their meds on their own. It doesn't work that way for patients who are not in contact with reality.\n\nNow we add extreme drugs (crack, meth, heroine, ketamine, whatever they hand out at parties, etc) and severe cases of PTSD/PTSS. It's obscene that we have veterans on the streets.\n\nHeath care--?. Pre Obamacare it wasn’t terrible but medicine had become a CYA project. We are so litigious (side eye to John Edwards ) that doctors practice defensive medicine and carry high limit malpractice insurance (guess who pays for that?). Every decision is driven by avoiding lawsuits, not proper patient care.\n\nPost Obamacare, US health care is an unmitigated disaster at every level. We’re short on doctors, too. Many quit and students are losing interest—medicine won’t pay enough anymore to justify $500K in loans.\n\nWe could repeal every bit of Obamacare tomorrow and still not be able to fix it. The leviathan grew tentacles that released toxins into every nook and cranny of the system. Now that they have buried themselves in critical layers, it would be impossible to yank them out.\n\nI have a good PCP who is booked 6-8 weeks out. Specialists? Hah. GI, neuro, and derm? Four to six month wait post referral.\n\nI never thought I would say such a thing but I would probably swap the Serial Sexual Predator occupying the WH for your Little Lord Fauntleroy.\n\nCan Canada compete with us in corruption? Nor can we claim to have eliminated racism. That takes time; it cannot be done by force.\n\nOur economy went from smokin hot to dumpster fire in a short span of time. Pre election, head hunters were shaking the trees to find job candidates.\n\nOur unemployment is up as are our taxes with the stomping out of the tax cuts. \n\nDespite the endless sloganeering about how the Trump tax cuts only benefited “rich” people, it’s quite the opposite.\n\nHigh earners lost their pet deductions and lower income taxpayers were quite pleasantly surprised when they did their returns. The cuts were targeted to preserve wealth for the middle and lower classes.\n\nI could go on for another 100 pages but you get the idea and I get crabby writing for free.\n\nI will leave you with the caution that it’s best if you doubt and question any data and any stats coming from our government. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? We are all on our own when it comes to ferreting out info.\n\nOh Canada!\n\nYou’re welcome.

It’s horrific how these ppl are forced to live, that is NOT life..reading the comments, it’s disheartening to see. Put yourselves in their shoes! Ask yourself many questions. Would you live your life under a corrupt government? Would you allow the Mexican police/gangs/drug lords, to walk in your home, kill your children, your family, got no reason and get away with it? Would you want to struggle just to feed your baby? Would you want to live how they live? Your country, my county is huge. But hey, it all comes down to greed and politics, right? This is propaganda video for the Liberal party even tho it is delivered by a extreme leftist woman from the CBC. The amount refugees get upto $50,000 is a lot more than many Canadian families make. Most Canadians are not elegible for legal aid or dental care. Who bears the cost of medicare, education, housing, policing, crime.....you guessed it, the Canadian Taxpayer. You know it is a propaganda video when she said the refugees give back more than they take. Do you see woman in a hijab or nicab working ?? She is not allowed by her religion to mix where there are men around. So most of them are pregnant, with 3 or 4 other toddlers around and you see them in malls at all hours of the day. That's how you tell the govt that you have not settled well yet and get more aid. The boat people of Vietnam came from a culture that honored hard work, education, discipline, creating wealth and the women had no restriction from religion in working with men (a lot of them were Catholic or Buddhist). The middle east people are a whole different kettle of fish. It's men who work, if at all, and women are primarily for breeding.They are not allowed to socialise with men outside the family and have to be accompanied by a male relative while outside the home. It's been five years since they landed and there have been many acts of terrorism Canadians have been faced with. However, they have become citizens and who are they voting for ??? It's not the PC. I asked myself what is it going to take where is the bottom what's it going to take to get the American people to peacefully demonstrate their anger Rally's and marches and demonstrations should be called in every state of the union to start peaceful protesting to show strength in numbers who are angered by this what's it going to take to get people off their couches and recliners and start pushing back when will it reach the breaking point this is absolutely an invasion that is being orchestrated by these radicalized extreme activist that call themselves progressives if this is progress then I'm a monkey's uncle again I ask what is the breaking point our country is being taken apart day by day piece by piece if we don't stop this woke attack on our country in 2024 we will not have a country right now it's a very delicate time. First, I want to thank you for making this video. The health of a country, or the health of an individual which are clearly linked, is dependent on our ability to see ourselves and each other, and make necessary changes to improve in the areas that we lack personally, and as communities in our beautiful country of Canada and other countries as well. Well, it’s a work in progress. I appreciate how you’ve inspired us to speak about things that aren’t necessarily spoken about. At least not where I live and have lived in Canada. Thank you so much for that opportunity. It doesn’t matter about my opinion. What matters is sharing our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences because they aren’t debatable. \n\nWe are in violation of Multiple Human Rights violations against Inuit , Indigenous and Métis people by the United Nations. Most have no water to drink—not even boiled water and bottled water is available sometimes when it’s brought to reservations . Children don’t have the same access to books. So many thousands of bodies of children taken to residential schools from their parents arms and community for over 160 years yet the deep wounds aren’t given compassion by most people anymore and systemic abuse actively impacts them and therefore all of Us . We are all one whether we see people as other’ or not. We’re humans. \n They’re not seen in media unless it’s a bad story yet we’re only now teaching one mandatory class by non indigenous people. Solution: elders teach their grandchildren languages that weren’t erased by genocide and environmental /spiritual cultural practices and lifestyles before they’re gone by paying first people elders and streaming it into all Canadian classrooms so the children can see a future where they’re valued and all Canadian kids can get a full education and learn accurate history. Making canoes, baskets, sacred ceremonies, food growing (that they taught to pilgrims so they’d survive here), etc. No, I’m not indigenous. I’m an immigrant like all but the first people. They’ve an amazing culture that’s been all but lost . When we don’t see ourselves represented in any media, any careers, and start our lives in extended poverty based on our race, and all that was taken still today, it’s no wonder the teen suicide rate for indigenous youth is more than double / triple all non - indigenous youth. The numbers are growing. \nI live in Care due to my physical disabilities . An international nursing student worked for me providing personal care like showers, meal prep etc and over that year, she said she wouldn’t have moved here specifically because of a few things I’ve mentioned. She told me Canada was sold to people in her country of origin as a ‘multicultural’ safe haven without extreme racism still prevalent today and within our history. \n\nI’m ashamed of Canadian government promises for over 100 years that aren’t fulfilled. All children deserve healthy drinking Water and an education. Period. Especially, the ambassadors of this amazing land that they see as themselves without separation. That’s accurate. We will have nothing to stand upon if we don’t protect the earth. It will go on without us. \n\nI see many things in the comments I’ve seen or experienced, unfortunately. This is a beautiful country for so many reasons. It’s important that from such abundance we listen to your video, look at ourselves honestly and i feel, be the change we want to see in the world like Gandhi said.\n\nMuch love and healing from an All inclusive advocate. You are overgeneralising when it comes to some sections of your healthcare segment. I work in the field in both rural Alberta and British Columbia and most of what you are saying is not the norm.  \n\nYou present two isolated cases of clearly questionable medical experiences. I don't know where you're from, but you will find good and bad doctors (as for any occupation in life frankly), anywhere - it is saddening that you are presenting this and viewers who are not clued up on the facts could interpret this as the norm.  \n\nFurthermore, communicating with your physician via email is considered to be not secure and private and physicians can get into malpractice issues for doing so. On the other hand, there are a number of secure patient communication platforms approved by the health ministries. With that being said, the adoption of the technology lies with individual physicians. There are success stories from the most rural parts of Canada where this is embraced. You are, once again, speaking very broadly which could be interpreted incorrectly as the norm. \n\nTo summarise: Yes, waitlists for doctors are long, but that is about the only universal truth in your segment. Calling up a few friends is certainly not research - a term that is used way too easily by creators and too easily accepted by their audiences.

Im Canadian and I've lived in Calgary (4 hrs south of Edmonton), Lethbridge (5 hours south of Edmonton) and Toronto. I currently live west of Toronto. There's discrimination but it's not in your face so it's harder to find a job but I keep my head up, although it can be frustrating. I'm not going to refute the lady in the video's experience, but when I was living in Calgary, my experience was good. Since the Greater Toronto Area is multicultural, some people will ask where I'm from, but it gets a little annoying to explain where Trinidad is on a map.

FBA here, raised in Canada for 27 years, since the age of 11. Educated in Canada, I am Canadian but when it came to socialization and employment that was where the line was drawn. I returned to the USA 7 years ago. It’s bad in the states but Canada is much worse.

When we get our resources together and start practicing nepatism perhaps things may change but we still have a long ways to go... And it's overwhelmingly sickening.. especially when we gaslighting situations.

I know it's a business, but hey at the end of the day everything is about money... you want to start a business, gotta have money, u want to study abroad you gotta have money, you want to eat healthy and good food, you gotta have money, you want to live on a nice apartment YOU GOTTA MAKE MONEY!!! so at the end of the day everything is a business. Such a slap in the face to homeless people who were born, worked in, and lived in America all their life. Where is their “free ticket” to housing and resources? America makes it hard for their own; especially Blacks, to survive. Always some kind of impossible agreement they want you to agree with to obtain help. As a Black American, homeless and disabled; worked low wage jobs here in America over 30 years; was blocked from receiving my full lump sum disability because they knew it would have been enough to buy myself a home; Have been homeless over a year now and can’t agree to America’s rules for fair housing because their rules aren’t fair for Black Americans altogether. America have set Blacks against Blacks; put them in positions to turn other Blacks away from houses and resources; but all they care about is their job. They know their job requires the impossible for many Blacks to agree to, but they easily and intentionally overlook it. How can I agree to volunteer or work if I’m disabled? I applied for disability because I can no longer work. And…It took forever for me to get that. My long, steady work history will prove that I’m not lazy which is used as their excuse for not helping Blacks. America will bend over backwards to help foreigners while we sleep on the streets. That’s the reason why they went out on a limb to employ people from different countries. They called it diversity when they clearly knew it was racism. They had rather employed foreigners to keep Blacks from progressing. America is reaping its seeds right now. Say good bye to America because it’s about to become a new foreign country to all Americans. You reap the seeds you sow. You must be fair to your own first, but you disclaim your own. ❤ And by the way;…..Reparations to Black Americans may be a good start in the eyesight of God who have watched how you treated us for so very long. If you have an issue with latino people coming here undocumented, you should remember that your ancestors did EXACTLY the same thing and that they decimated native Americans in order to create rules, laws and regulations against the very thing they themselves did. Close the border. Americans tax dollars shouldn't have to pay for refugees when they're struggling to get by themselves. People can't afford to go to college in the U.S., it's so expensive. Cost of living goes up all the time. I have multiple degrees and can't really find a job and when I do, they always want to pay very low and def much lower than they started your counterparts at. There's a ridiculous homeless issue in the U.S. where I've met plenty that apply for jobs all the time and do not get hired. They even ask random people if they can work for them just for food, literally just for food. There are people everywhere that take things for granted including the U.S. but that's not the issue here. There are U.S. leaders that steal your money in taxes and retirement funds then misuse the funds. How is it fair for a hard working individual to have 30% of their gross removed from there paycheck then still required to pay the government when filing income taxes. You can buy a house, pay it off and never own it. The government is your forever landlord because property taxes are always due and are increased whenever authorities want them increased. Every country has serious issues.

In Ontario Canada the healthcare industry is heavily marred in black racism! My sister was a Director of Care at 3 different long term care facilities over the last 9 years. The racism she felt was so bad that the WS are willing to destroy the reputation of the long term care facility and their own careers just do they could oppress my sister. My sister beat them all as she left the long term care and is now a pediatric consultant while the last place she left is now in chaos. Every long term care job she had the WS were getting her to do all of their work to a point where they did not know how to recover when my sister eventually left. Every long term care facility paid the heavy price when my sister walked out. I could make a video on this issue it’s so wicked the racism. At least my sister beat them all she is so smart. ??

Some good points were touched on. We need solutions! What does this mean?\n\n- We need some immigration discipline. Yes, it's great to let immigration in, especially ones that pay taxes, but it's overburdening both the rental/housing demand (which needs opposing pressure to lower prices) as well as healthcare demand, which is not being properly addressed. Instead our healthcare system is flooded. And it's inefficient and expensive as is already. We just need to tame the number of people we allow in, and grow our ability to self-sustain first.\n- It's too late now, but government policies to give out money during COVID was poorly executed, yet plentiful. When 40% of currency was printed in the last year/two, no doubt we will have inflation. This was never touched upon in the video. Resources/social supports should have been provided rather than just straight up $$$. There was an excess of money given to places they shouldn't have been. We saw a boom in industries like say hobbies and games, showing additional money being wasted where it should have been used for food and shelter. \n- Canadian government is not trying to be as aggressive to retain Canadian companies. We are heavily dependent on US corporations and hence the brain drain as well. Salaries do not compare, especially when remote work is now possible. \n\nWe are already deep in the hole and need to be more financially responsible. I'd strongly disagree with the last statement in this video that we are perceived as corrupt (there's been lots of civil unrest because of government misspending). We are civil and polite, but that's not what helps economies grow, as OCED forecasts as well.

This is because Biden allowed so many in, as Governor Abbott and Governor DeSantis have allowed or transferred many into the United States. When people like myself have done things legally and yet waiting for the system to have my fiance wait for almost two years while these people come in running like cattle. Canada is doomed, one of the only reasons why this country has stayed afloat is because of the insane taxes, I bought 3 monster energies today and they were 8 dollars but with tax added up it was 16 dollars, absolutely insane. The cookie is going to crumble eventually most people just can't scrape by anymore, when the government has no more money too tax from people where are they gonna get their money from?

As a Canadian that works closely with the government, the other issues that the tax rate in Canada is very high. Even you get a good paying job or a profitable business, a significant portion of your paycheck/profits goes to the government. There is also a lot of bureaucratic and legislative hurdles to overcome and too little incentives when trying to start or develop a business. For example, to build a high density residential building, it takes around 1 - 2 years of planning and studies, then another year to get all the permits and government paperwork, then 2 years of construction. It takes around 5 years to build a new residential building. Canada's housing affordability problem is not just simply cause by people willing to buy property, it is also cause by a significant shortage of housing supply due to all these regulations and hurdles. If you can't find affordable housing and your income is also heavily tax, a lot Canadians will go south to the US where things are a lot more affordable.
