I am a Canadian citizen and have been living in Saskatoon for 4 years, but I still don't have a family doctor. Last time I went to a clinic and tried to register for a family doctor. A receptionist told me that the doctor in my neighbourhood didn't accept any new patients. This is ridiculous if a Canadian who lives in the neigbourhood has to go several KM away to meet a family doctor.

This is one individual that was working in a job he knew little about and was very inexperienced. If people knew more about the trucking industry and the way they operate they would be afraid to go out on the roads. Many companies run ads nonstop looking for drivers because they pay too little, the equipment is not safe and the law allows for ridiculous hours. Federal hours of service are 16 hours a day with 13 hours driving 1 hour work time not driving and two hours of breaks. After 70 hours the driver gets 36 hours off and it starts all over. This works out to work up to 70 hours in 5 days and then a day and a half off. What other profession works those kind of hours? How about making our civil service workers work that kind of schedule and see how fast they go out on strike. These hours are allowed under the law and are federally mandated hours of service. The 36 hours off is often spent on the road sleeping and living in the truck not at home.

When a deportation order comes down it should happen within a week and then they can appeal the permanence of it from wherever they end up at their cost. That Canadian Taxpayers have to fund these appeals is ridiculous.

I found people who blame immigration for this , ridiculous at best ! What caused this , has been decades in the making well before Trudeau and it’s government. \nBoth parties are responsible for this . \n\nThe wages have stalled for decades while everything else has gone up . Look at the minimum wedges in Australia and NZ comparing to their cost of life ? You have the same rental and real estate prices for double the salaries . \n\nLetting foreign interest buy out land and properties trough bidding wars to the point of kicking out Canadians of the market caused this . Prioritising the construction of luxury condos instead of building more affordable houses caused this . \n\nBut please keep blaming immigrants who work their ass off in jobs that most of you refuse to do , instead of blaming the lack of all of the successive governments to address an issue they knew was going to hit us in the face one day .

What I dislike is having to bend to stranger culture in my own land.\nWe are in Canada, if you’re willing to join then you should adapt to us. It's really getting ridiculous - I'm making 6 figures, and was living comfortably until 2018. Now I have to pinch every single penny. One thing that changed is I had my first-born. As much as I don’t like the guy, it’s misguided saying it’s only Trudeau. Is he the solution? Not likely, but it’s a start. The issue is accountability from the provincial governments who have low voter turnout, and are allergic to investing in diversified transportation or fixing housing, or immigration laws, and taxing rich people more and god forbid they update their labour and health system. So much of these issues were present for years before he was elected, because the country just voted to get out of the recession and cut a ridiculous amount of funding. The Harper years were terrible, people forget that. He wanted to ban abortions. That’s the future his party wants. I think they need a coalition government, badly and to turn it on the provinces to come up with plans before asking for money.

I am not joking when I say Canada is more expensive than Switzerland.\n\nI was in Canada for a 1 Year Exchange. The cost of stuff is RIDICULOUS! The thing is: Switzerland is expensive yes- but Swiss salaries are also higher on average. In Canada tho stuff is just expensive. I was flabbergasted by the food prices and especially the price of mobile plans!!\nIt was cheaper for me to buy a “North America” mobile plan in Switzerland (Basically a mobile plan for USA and Canada) than buying one in Canada for only Canada ?

I can tell you why I'm leaving...mainly for a far better life. This country ain't worth the effort. Housing and taxes are ridiculous and the economy is failing, besides our dollar having no buying power. I reject enslavement because I've worked hard enough to live in a country where housing is 1/3 the cost, food is affordable and high quality, great weather, great social life, and much more fulfilling overall.
