Great video ? Well Said dear brother ? unfortunately some of us Africans don't see life beyond money particularly of Nigerians. \n\nSecond. They're head dipped into western propaganda and slave mentality. They don't listen no matter what you tell them.\n\nThat's their problem but I get really offended when they advise me from Africa that America is good for me after living here 25 years. I really get nasty with them when they try to discourage me from moving back home to Nigeria. \n\nAt this point in my life, I just need peace, serenity, friendship and human touch. The West isn't a natural habitat for humans.

Great video! I'm in a slight dilemma and thinking of coming to Vancouver to look for work, rather than applying directly from the U.K., through the Global Skills Strategy (GSC). Thinking of taking a temporary job here and applying at the same time for Canada roles. I'm a Business Analyst with 8 years experience, happy to hear your advice.

I must confess that I knew from the start of watching this video that it will be loaded with a lot to learn from, I love your openness and the way you challenge whoever listened or watched you. Without being modest, I made bold to say you are a great mentor and teacher. I'm not so good at commenting on project like these ?? but I can't hide my feeling born out of the guilt that I saw from your video that I have not helped myself. I'm grateful for these information ??, \nLessons learned.??

Thanks guys for making this video. Born and raised Canadian and I totally agree. I have felt an improved quality of life living in other countries. I love the diversity of Canada, the weather is not great. It can be very boring but a safe place. You just have to know what its really like here and make it work for you. If you are a refugee its a great place. If not, you do have to work hard, pay alot of tax, so its not all that easy living here. To each his own. Do what is best for you.

Great video, balanced opinions! One more reason immigrants leave after many years in Canada is not enough savings / years of work for retirement. In their home countries their pensions and savings last much longer. That being said, Canada is a great country to live in.

This video was very informative. I live in Upstate New York a stones throw from Quebec and have always wondered about Canada. In the US we hear how great it is. The healthcare, and other social programs. I didn't realize how much tax you guys have to pay, ouch!

Loved this, so much fun the only thing that jarred a bit with me was ice hockey, in Canada when we talk about hockey or skating, we NEVER put the word ice in front, that’s assumed (except when we host Olympics and only then because the IOC makes us ?) . Thanks for another great video!

This 44min video has been great ....but that is one side, but good side .....\n\nWhat should we do as a muslim, when our great great Prophet Muhammad have said, “I disown every Muslim who settles among the mushrikeen”....\n\nKis k kiya problems hain, woh aur Allah behter jante hein....but do discuss this with ulemah, what is preferable ..... and this is other side....\n\nWe have bought time from Allah, and this time can end anytime. At those last moments, we realize CONSCIOUSLY, that visit in this world was temporary.

Thank you for the detailed video. It's of great help. Since there are more than one NOC codes aligning with the current job roles and responsibilities, how can we know that which NOC code is in demand the most?

I simply watched the first 3 minutes of your video and knew that right off the mark YOU ARE PERFECTLY RIGHT. Ontario alone has so many cab drivers that are foreign trained doctors that are badly needed as it has the worst healthcare system in Canada outside of the northern territories. Immigrants coming to Canada are also the best job creators in Canada and as such are much needed since the Canadian government has repeatedly failed to support its own industries and people since the 1950's. GREAT JOB LADIES.

Nice video. I came to this country over 20 years ago, and chose to have partners from other countries which is sometimes a challenge, but nevertheless worth it. Canada's climate looks pretty cold and unpleasant now, but with climate change, anywhere around the great lakes it might be one of the last good places to live towards the end of the century. Maybe is just me, but I never really cared about paying taxes. I just see it as a social good. Sometimes I would like to move back to Europe because I can fly for cheap and see many different countries, but then I realize I will never be accepted anywhere there as I am here.

I like how y’all have created this video by not applying a negative undertone rather more of an informative approach to caution prospective movers of what potentially awaits them. All I would like to highlight is the fact that some people will experience all these points as negative aspects or maybe even one or two that might lead to the breaking point.\nIt all depends on where you come from and how life was in your “home” country.\nYou might come from a higher tax environment with non existent healthcare and education. From that perspective, 40% taxes might look better and the healthcare might be great or crap depending on what your health issues are. I personally haven’t had any struggles with most of these aspects - finding a great job was relatively easier, (key word - relatively) the healthcare system worked for me when I needed it to, I was mentally prepared for the high taxes, I culturally adapted to the point where people thought I was Canadian and didn’t realize I came in from a very different environment. I’m sure this cultural adaptation helped me with my job and made it easier to live here.\nAll in all, you can say I’ve had the “perfect” immigrant experience that most people would dream of. But what do i think really? Personally, I have come to realize that Canada at the moment does not fit into my personal goals and values and that is okay. Loneliness away from people you love can be tough. It just isn’t the same feeling making new friends and hanging out with coworkers who are much older than you are and in a different place in life. I’m very close to my family and friends who I’ve grown up with and are on the other side of the world. My parents are getting older and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. For that reason, I might consider being somewhere closer to them. I’d perhaps consider coming back here some day when I’ve got my own family and kids which I currently don’t have. To me, that’s a personal value high on the list. I guess my only takeaway from this video and advise to people looking at each of these points - take each one and compare it with your home country. If you think you’re better off in Canada, then move - it’s a great place! If not, think about it real hard and weigh out the pros and cons.

Great video but there are somethings u should have mentioned\n1) Ontario has very very high electricity bills\n2) bc has very high gas bills, 1.70$ for gas isn’t uncommon here.\n3) Quebec people are know in Canada as the worst drivers and there stereotype is they are rude to non French speakers

Great video, and really interesting discussion in the comments. Perhaps what I can add is that I was born in Canada, have lived here for 50 years, and I've experienced the same problems as immigrants: difficult to meet people and form social ties, hard to find work because I don't have the 'right' education or qualifications not recognized, expensive and hard to establish a 'normal' life here. Imagine growing up with this, not having experienced something different elsewhere, and having no country to go back to. Canada is becoming a two-tier society, one made up of well-established families, and the other made up of Canadians who struggle and immigrants who also struggle.

Great video ?..2 queries:\n1. Is it not advisable to apply only if you have job, if one is in late 30s ? \n2. Even if spouse details are filled side by side, can main applicant travel alone, if selected, and then bring family after few months after settling down?
