We have a leader who seems to be deeply invested in shutting down our oil and gas industry. He shut down oil and gas. Which put hundreds of people out of work. Then he slapped us with a carbon tax. He told us the carbon tax dollars would be invested toward producing green energy projects and manufacturing jobs. So far, the Carbon tax went up again, he banned plastic straws, he’s hitting our farmers with heavy restrictions on fertilizer, because it’s not green enough. \nMany of our indigenous communities have been living for years with contaminated water. He promised he was going to ensure the indigenous communities have access to clean drinking water. He has not fulfilled that promise. \nHe’s bidding $30 billion dollars to hopefully sign a deal to manufacture electric car batteries for Volkswagen. \nHe’s investing in other projects, as well. Unfortunately, he’s only investing in eastern provinces. \nSo far, there has been no investments in western provinces yet. Many of the out of work oil and gas workers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are still waiting on the jobs they were promised. \nLow wages, high inflation, high taxes and high income housing is bringing a lot of us to our knees. \nOur leader is corrupt. It seems like every week there is another corrupt scandal he and his government are involved in. \nI can’t speak for every Canadian, but I can say with absolute certainty that a large number of us are sick and tired of our current leader. Most of us live with the hope that if our leader can get voted out. Canada may have a chance to go back to the way our beautiful country used to be.

Build towns that are surrounded by walls give them a small space to live and build factories. Allow these people to have a small check and live and work in those small cities say in the middle of nowhere. Make them work for 1 year in those places and as long as they do good not crime and show up for work and take care of there living space then allow them to become citizens. That way you weed out the criminals and non hard workers. In 1 year you will have a good idea of who should be staying. Also its them paying for there spot and contributing to the us economy. Once they become contributing members of society and they get on there feet out of each check they will take a small amount to pay for all the resources that were used to help them. Also I belive the majority of the ones let in should be women and the young children. If I don't get free help working full time struggling they shouldn't either. Let's make america a manufacturing power house like we're were in the past and the only reason we are a super power now. Also do the same thing for criminals and the homeless teach them worth ethic and how to follow laws instead of giving them handouts to go buy more dope

My parents came to this country in the 70s from a small country in SAmerica. they brought me 3 years later and my handicap brother 2 years later. The USA embassy made my parents sign a paper stating that my brother will not used any government assistance ( he had polio when he was little so he has to walk with scratches) and that's what my parents did until my brother got a job. He worked for 40 years in the same job until he retired 6 years ago. With the exception of the mass rehab center for job training, my brother never used government assistance. \nI remember my mother and I we used to wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning to shovel the snow from the driveway so it would be safe for him to walk to his car to go to work at 5 am. I am very proud of my brother. \nSome people think that receiving government assistance is smart, but we think is not bc it makes you a dependent, you loose your sovereignty as an individual. And these people don't realize that. Personally I think these people are getting paid to do this bc this is not normal. \nIn the other hand, the USA government in the quest to protect its interests ( mainly the corporate interests) support candidates that will go along with what the US says. \nI would like to point out that in this country, there's plenty of corruption, do u do anything about it? ! Jan 6 is the only time that I see it happening ( for me, Jan 6 will forever be a very important holiday)

I realize a lot of people do not understand the world. As first generation American, i can say, 90% of Americans do not cherish their freedom. As i see everything unfold, i realize we might be next to be taken over. I don’t know if y’all would flee or what. China and Russia aren’t using us currency so we can’t monitor their spending. It’s not rocket science to realize what they want.

I will say I have been lucky in Calgary (moved to Alberta in 2011; became perm res in 2018) with my healthcare. I have a great liver specialist and family doctor as well as a backup. I just fell and cut the back of my head Monday (2 staples but nicely done; I do not feel any pain). I know that is not common for people. I think some of it is timing based on the comments. It will only get better if we quit USing it (i.e. politicizing it). As an ex-pat watching that dumpster fire, moving to Canada in 2010 (first year in YVR) was the right step for me (however, that said, being that I am plain white looking male, I know that made it so easy at least until I applied for Perm Res. Then, being a white american worked against me). Luckily, I had been involved with a Canadian citizen several years whom sponsored me for Perm Res. I really enjoy seeing your POV in your videos. ?? okay I read about three dozen of the comments . They say it's a housing shortage on the news ! I lived in Buffalo New York for 50 years ! There's housing in parts of the city but suburbanite don't want to live there! While the US government is sending money to Ukraine they can send it to Buffalo New York! The population used to be over 1.2 million in the city limits in the 1930s and 40s now it's only 280,000. People they've been rebuilding the city for last 14 -16 years. But they still have a long way to go. Room can be made for more law-abiding citizens and functioning members of society in Buffalo New York! ??

I live next to a drop off destination for Joe Biden's migrants. I would have to say they appear to be victims of the Democrat party, in that, like many other groups of people they have been lied to or given false hopes of success or prosperity. It is evident every morning when about thirty men gather in groups awaiting, perhaps a local contractor, to drive up and offer them a few hours of work, digging a hole or some other menial task. We also now have these corner Hey Cocos fruit stands where another of Joe's migrants sits for hours, making a couple bucks, at best, and a few more for whoever owns the cart and provides the fruit. I can only imagine where all these men must be sleeping at night, who might be paying for their space on a garage floor. Their only relief comes from gathering at the park across the street to use the barbecues and tables, and share a meal. For some the meal leads to beer and drunkenness. I watched the police send five of them back to the garage since they were all in a car drinking, even an open alcohol container in CA is illegal. If I were one of them I would have been arrested, but these lucky Biden immigrants were simply told to walk away. I hope the police at least impounded the car. Ten o'clock on a Sunday morning, people jogging, people walking their dogs, unaware of Joe Biden's guys, ready to drive away in drunken bliss. Thank you Joe. Thank you Democrats, you have created another group of dependents at least you can give them free health-care, I suppose that's one way to say they have improved their lives by coming here.

People need to remember that part of being a fair and loving. Is also teaching and discipline and these children following rules. I don't believe hearing God and Jesus telling all these people run from your countries and not have faith that I'm actually going to fix things for you and go run to somebody else actually go run to the United States where all those stuff is traveling through. I never understood the logic of that it's like rats run from the country where they're making the drugs to the country that supplying the globe with it and we're all of these bad people have thousands of people in planted everywhere with guns and hookups. Pete got Mainland access so quickly after the last major hurricane that took everything down and we all know what it's from is because that portion of Florida is used to bring a lot of drugs in from South America, Central America. So for all of you that want to post your personal assumptions about homeless people because that's all it is unless you've actually been homeless or spent time around homeless you really have no clue what's going on in the homeless population except what you've been told by the same political talking head media bulshit that's been lying to everybody about a bunch of other stuff too. Don't you get it the politicians don't want people knowing that a lot of the people that are homeless on the street are people that are disabled and aren't disabled because they have mental health problems I know that's the narrative they've been trying to stuff down people's throats.

I think you are judging Canada using relatively small scope of criteria. Is some of what you say true? Probably. But there is so much more to Canada. Personally, I think there is so much beauty here, but I sure the hell don't expect to find it in Vancouver, or any other major city. It comes down to how you look at something. If you think it's ugly, then you're going to find a lot to support that opinion. The opposite is also true. There are 2 sides to that coin and they can't be wrong, because they are subjective.

And my life turned upside down this Friday by illegal immigrants here in Louisiana. They ran a red light, smash my car, totaled it. While running from border patrol and customs. I counted eight people running out of the vehicle and not one gave two shits to check on me, even though I was injured. Seven of them got away the only one they caught was a 14 year old Honduran child that claimed amnesty. So vehicle which they stole, which had stolen license plate, and apparently was full of stolen tools all was seized. The owners will be lucky if they get anything back since it is being held as evidence. I was told by My Attorney chances are my insurance will not pay me in full for my vehicle. Also, I only have a few payments on my car left, and I’m forced to pay it even though now I have no vehicle to get to work, because all my equity is tied up in it, funny thing is I recognize this kid from one of the jobsites down the street. They literally beat me in a bid on. Mind you only buy $400 differences I’m having to pay taxes it’s a joke when you say these people take jobs and no one else wants thing is it’s not jobs no one else wants it’s jobs that have become jobs. No one wants because of the pay continues to fall prices continue to increase, everyone thinks he’s illegal immigrants make no money on these jobsites most of them have nicer vehicles and live in nicer places than the guys I know. The Democrats who are used to vote for because I thought they were for the workingman have completely switched. Their allegiance is to the large corporations that just want to drive down competition and raise their profit margins. They don’t care about America. They want a global economic system in which we have to compete with people that are willing to do the same work as us for a little less because they don’t have to pay what we have to pay and they go back to their countries and live like kings where our dollar buys a lot. What a damn shame it’s time to change the system. If you’re not voting for a Bernie Sanders or Trump you might as well not voted off because you will get no change. They take advantage of the good faith of these countries, when they are having children, they do not require any kind of help or support, right? they use their children precisely so that these countries give help, they are scoundrels, and measures should already be taken in this regard, The danger we are running thanks to these people, we do not have citizen security, thieves everywhere, criminal gangs operating in our countries where they are killing people, and where is the ONU ? look at the news from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, etc. and they will realize the big problem they will caused in the United States, they must stop all this. CNN, your story is completely incorrect in every possible way. These are migrants which make them eligible for entrance into Canada to be evaluated. The police are informing them that the procedure is to be arrested and then they are lead through an evaulation process where they are assessed or denied refugee status. \n That is how refugees are supposed to be treated according to the 1951 Refugee Convention of the UN that Canada AND THE US not only signed but drew up. Nothing is in the Convention that says separating familiies is legitmate treatment, as has been done at the US southern border. \n It's OK CNN. I'm used to your feckless approach to journalism.

Canada is pretty good with French immigration, the Middle East immigration and with people that are going to give something in exchange in their view, then all those people take the best and more they could and go back to their Countries. I always laugh when I hear someone say they don't live in the US because of safety concerns. I've lived here my entire life and never felt unsafe. Personally, i dont know of a single person who's been murdered or even shot. I guess if I was in a gang maybe I'd be concerned or if I lived in a violent area in a big city. But man if you live in more rural areas violence just isn't much of a concern in most places. Seems like people who don't live here just like to use it as a dig against the US. As if the fact that crime is high in some areas in the US means it's a flat out dangerous place to live in. Which is completely unrealistic. There are many many towns in the US who haven't seen a homicide in decades. But of course Chicago or New Orleans or Houston is a different story.

As a Canadian who use to be homeless, don’t be fooled by the numbers they say they give to homeless. The reason they’ve increased funding for social services is because our homeless population has increased exponentially, because, people can’t afford even a cheap rental

I’m traveling rn, so I talk to a lot of internationals about the pros and cons of American. The greatest pros would be we are definitely the land of opportunity, so if you want make a lot of money there’s no country better. The people also have this optimism about the future that’s not as prevalent around the world, and the country is very diverse which means you can find a state that matches you want. However the downsides would be the stark wealth inequality, and lackluster healthcare. The polarization between the left and right, and the crazy urban sprawl which you never get used to.\n I think the inequality is due to us having this bootstraps mentality when it comes to success. Whenever I tell other Americans how lucky I am they’re quick to say that it’s all due to my worth ethic, but life is a lot more nuanced. Regardless I still love my country, and can’t see myself living anywhere else. ??

I say move to a rural or suburban part of America and you get the best of both worlds in regards to safety and guns. I used to dream to move to Canada, but nowadays close friends and information I have seen on Youtube videos say Canada is a very bad option. Now I am looking some Asian countries much more attractive.

Funny that a lot of this is true in Switzerland as well. Switzerland hates overachievers but values team work. Always respect your team, help and be polite are absolute dealbreakers. Other aspects of cultural norm also works. Remember how Canadians were closed when it comes to personal topics, Swiss people are reserved and it takes time to get closer to them but they can also been direct when it comes to a civil state, at least this happened to me. \nFunny fact: when I arrived in Switzerland I had Canadian views of a distance and annoyed people by saying 80km is close, but when I explained I used to live in Canada they understand I need time to adjust. \nI lived 5yrs in Toronto and never get issues with winter, but I hate summer heat not winter.

im from newfoundland. i can say that the weather is quite bad,but the people here are real nice and our accents are hillarious to other provinces,we have strength but not so much intelligence. we also have one of the few viking settlements in north america,lanse aux meadows. aswell as a supposed viking location known as point rosee. also i should mention that newfoundland is incredibly historical just to list a few things we have:beothuks,viking settlements,4 different anscestors being france england scotland and ireland hints the hillarious accent,we also have lots of prehistoric fossils dating all the way back to 570 million bc,we also were the place that started and was one of the main reasons the french and indian/seven year war was formed,oh and dont even get me started on how much resources we have. in total we have 60 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and so much wind you could probably power all of america using windmills from newfoundland. but i dont advise you live here,its more of a historian/paleontologists dream to visit this place overall on a scale without any biasty i rate nefoundland and labrador a solid 7/10 for its amount of good jobs but its high gas prices,bad premier,bad weather,freezing tempatures,sparse and rugged land,no biodiversity and a it being a good spot for a country to invade if going to war.its not looking good for newfoundland and labrador,ESPECIALLY NEWFOUNDLAND

Whether religious or not, any weapon in campus is unacceptable. Either you get an open exception from local government using your community on the bases of religion or stop carrying this. My question to all those log heads who say rigorous, is it acceptable while boarding a flight? Visiting a politician? Then why is it acceptable in a school or university.
