holy crap. Sorry but as a Nova Scotian I have to strongly disagree . Our housing costs both renting or buying has gone crazy in the last three years . We have people living in tents even in the winter. Homelessness is in crisis. I personally have a friend in her 60s and sick and will be homeless in 3 days as she cannot find an apartment much less afford one Prices in everything has gone sky high. While salaries stay low. Every where you look now you see garbage just thrown. Last year we had devestating floods and wildfires. University students get her and cannot find housing. One international student is paying $400 a month to sleep on a hallway floor. I know housing in all our provinces is a problem. Tent cities are everywhere. People poyring in without us having the means to house them has caused terrible sufferring for all. People shoukd not come to NS at this time. Wait until there are places built to house people. Also our healrh care system is in crisis. I love my province but I dont even recognise it anymore. It is so sad what is happening here. People come here from away and some start youtube channels to tell people from their home countries Not to come here.

Canada was founded on European immigration and culture. This is no longer. Canada is now majority Asian/East Indian and Middle Eastern culture. Canada has lost its founding culture and values. Canada is now presumed dead to those of us who remember the REAL CANADA! Sooooooooooooo Sad! We gave it away to increase political votes and more tax dollars. Canada lost it's wonderful European heritage. I dearly miss CANADA.

This is sad. Born in Canada, left to marry an American but I have always wanted to move back...not now. This is not the same country I left. 20 years ago can make a huge difference.

In Essex county, most massive properties and farms are being bought by Indian citizens. This information is from a local realtor. All the farms that were bought no longer farm anything. They put the equipment on the side of the road to sell and weeds fill the fields. Sad.

This kind of treatment is in every western country. Mostly students take up the jobs that none of the locals would do. Students are vulnerable because they heavily depend on these jobs for survival. I'm so fucking sad everything in this video is true and for my own sake I have to leave the city I love to ever have a shot at a stable career and home. Toronto was where I grew up and my family set down all its roots but it's a nightmare now. Over half of my young 20 to 30 year old friends only managed to move out of their parent's via some combination of couch surfing or cramming themselves into small spaces with other friends\n\nIt's not only NIMBYs, the zoning regulations are ridiculously restrictive and make developers waste land on giant mazes of single family homes that will inevitably be bought up to cram 40 students into each.

And we were brought to this sad state by a PM who said he wanted to make homes more AFFORDABLE and to help the middle class (whatever that is these days) and those trying to enter it. 1,27 million people added in just 1 year. Albeit most of it temporary workers, this is a disaster for the younger generations trying to make it in the middle class. The housing market is insane right now, if your family was middle class just 10 years ago then you will automatically be lower class once out of education no matter your degree. I know 30 years olds engineers living in shared flats in Calgary with full time jobs. Life has become a sad rat race for the average Canadian.

As a 29 year old who was born and raised in the gta area of Ontario, it's so sad how true all of this is. As I said, I'm 29, with a wife and 2 kids, and I'm stuck living at home with my parents cause if we can could afford to live anywhere else.

Ugh this is so sad. I was in my mid 20s when I left Canada for the US because the housing situation there was out of control. The park they showed at the 2:44 mark was where I used to live back in 2021 and I remember it was filled with kids playing and people walking their dogs. Now it's a tent encampment for the homeless. Very sad to see the living condition deteriorate there and hoping they can turn it around.

You will never own a home unless you are very very rich, the weather is horrible, if thats not enough for you all the above problems are getting worst by the day. Im an engineer making 130-140k a year and couldnt afford a house in even the cheaper cities such as halifax... toronto or vancouver? Forget about it. I forgot to mention the healthcare, people are dying in waiting rooms and from cancers that could be treated if detected early, but they are often stage 4 before even being diagnosed. There are people living in bunk beds and squeezed into unsafe rooming houses .
