As a Canadian myself living in this country for over 30 years... the problem here is that Canada have a diversed industry but because the country itself is so small (population wise) that none of these industries reached economies of scale. While Canada has regions rich with natural resources, all they do is extracted it, sell it to U.S. and then buy the producted that was produced by these raw materials back at a higher cost. The political structure of Canada doesn't help either: Each region essencially specialized in a few industries (Alberta Oil, Ontario Finance, the Alantic provice's fisheries and oil refineries) and there's equalization payment... meaning if one province is doing well... they don't get to reinvest it back into its infrastructure but rather have to spread some of the excess revenue to other failing provinces... this doesn't incentized productivity but rather leads to a race to the bottom where provinces would want to spend their way to get some of that equalization payment money. Also the provinces themselves doesn't have a unifying economic agenda... Alberta's oil could be best served to be refined out east and then shipped but British Columbia doesn't want pipelines and oil shipping facilities on their coastline... and Quebec isn't interested in having a pipeline either so there's nowhere by the oil but to go down to the states. Finally the province of Quebec( which is french speaking and have their own culture and language) isn't interested in the overall prosperity of Canada at all but rather to extract as much special privilages, rights, and money from the Federal government... and even to declare independance from the Rest of Canada.

All these white folks talking about the homeless situation in America talking about how this needs to be stopped and we need to fix our problem first like no half the people on the streets of america are crackheads or people that want to be there anytime i see a mexican in the streets he either selling something or working for his own meanwhile the white fellow is always begging but were taking there jobs right. You want people to have equal rights until you literally can’t ride your bike to work because of the amount of people on drugs and homeless on the street/sidewalk is to large to even cross by. The problem with the Canadian economy is that it is being destroyed by the actions and the policies of the current government. Between those horrible tax increases and the government funded lawsuits against us\nOur economy will fail. Not to worry though, after they remove Canada from the world stage and our money is worthless, the WEF will swoop in and save the day and we can all live under the tyranny of the wealthy.

The problem with Canada's economy is that the Trudeau tornado swept all the good things that could have happened to us with all kinds of weird decisions that threw our economy under the carpet and placed us in a miserable condition where it will take years for us to get back to normal!

Canada’s biggest problem is it’s socialistic policies of the Liberal governments. Don’t confuse things: social programs like education and healthcare are not an exclusive marker of socialism. The balance of government interference in the economy IS. Nobody in their right mind would start a business in Canada today. \n\nSecondly, running a business means buy and resell, manufacture and sell leaving a profit. But the business of running Canada is losing money. The formula of running the country doesn’t work. We go deeper into debt every year, now to the point where it’s impossible to grow out of debt. As we allow massive immigration to counteract an aging, non-productive population, because of that negative formula, we just keep going deeper and deeper into debt. But it seems that most Canadians want that because we keep voting in the ‘robbers’. It’s time for Canadians to understand that soon a death tax will come in where all your asset value in taxes will go to the government. But that’s coming and is the only way for the government to pay down its debt.

Most of this people and their leader claim America ?? is the devil America is a problem the world has, so why are you running to the devils house and why are you people trying to go live with the devil I’m confused can somebody explain onto most of this country is hold your leaders accountable and stop supporting the leader, finger-pointing to the United States and other European country has the problem nobody’s saying that all the countries are perfect or they haven’t done anything wrong, but if you continue to look outside and not hold each other accountable but then you try to run and go be with the same people you claim you claim are your problem

The problem with accepting a lot of immigration from countries like Venezuela for example is that all the good people that have some influence flees the country, leaving tyrants to stay in power longer since most of the opposition fled the country. If they want to leave the country because of the elected government they have to stay over there and solve their problem. On top of that I have many friends who came to the U.S. because of the government but go back to their country every year for vacation. I am not against immigration, and if we are smart we can get more people working and contributing with taxes, I just don’t like the fact that most of this people are good people who fled their country to leave tyrants free to do whatever they want.

This is nothing short of an INVASION AT OUR BORDERS!! I can guarantee you that if we had responsible voting laws in this country just as simple as having an ID and proving American Citizenship, we wouldn’t be having this problem. Democrats don’t want those laws, and Democrats DONT WANT TO STOP what’s going on at the border, bcuz these are votes for them. To all the people in the comments upset with poor, desperate, people with no power instead of the American government that has undoubtedly destabilized these countries to the point where their citizens are fleeing to other countries…know that you are angry with the wrong people!\n\nThese people just want better lives for their families! Is there something we can do to make housing more affordable? There isn’t a housing shortage, we have 600,000 homeless with millions of vacant homes! Can we advocate for the rights of people over giant real estate companies like Blackstone gobbling up houses and apartments, making them unaffordable before we scream that there aren’t houses for these people?!\n\nThe complete lack of effort around finding a solution is mind blowing to me! Everyone just resorts to basically saying they should all be kicked out!! Why can’t we find a solution? I just don’t get why this is such a controversial issue! Kicking them out or criminalizing them is just sweeping the issue under the rug. It doesn’t solve the problem, meaning after a while they will come back and we will be right back where we started. \n\nI guess I just feel like there should be a little more compassion and problem solving when talking about immigration!

If you look at the numbers of all the worlds poor, then look at the American square miles, and budget, we simply do not have the room or the money to take all the worlds poor. And the argument that there are plenty of open spaces is ridiculous too. We have a lot of farm land and places where you can not build homes because of flooding and wild life. We already have a problem where people are bullying farmers to sell their producing land at a cheep price. There are literally HOAs and construction companies that go around destroying crops and killing animals to force farmers off their land. These people are so stupid too. Farmers not only feed the people in their communities, but in other parts of the world too. These people can not stay here.

Canadian here, and this video is right on the money for some of the most frustrating things about Canada! \n\nOur proudest achievement is our healthcare system, but up until recently, the government has been choking it little by little. Making it so difficult for any Doctor/Nurse to even consider finding work here (and making it impossible to afford getting a medical degree) because you are literally doing it for the love of the game at this point. \n\nEven if you become a specialist in a specific field (which pays really well compared to most careers here) it is unlikely any hospital will hire you. Our hospitals are only interested in making profits by pushing painkillers on Canadians, rather than hiring medical professionals to help fix them. If you become a family Doctor, it is a bit better, because you can open your own practice. But kiss your social life goodbye if you do! The most annoying part of this problem is some people blame all this on the fact that we have healthcare and assume a private American system would be better. Where the real problem is we need more workers and funding into our healthcare to make it better. Not making lives harder for poorer Canadians!\n\nWeirdly enough our Tax system issue didn't stand out as a problem to me until I left Canada and see how taxes are marked elsewhere! It blew my mind that I didn't have to do math when I visited another country and the way we advertise wages is purposely deceptive! In Ontario, we succeeded in getting a $14 hour minimum wage (only in Ontario and maybe one other province). Which sounded amazing until you realize that's $14 without tax... To compare, I was incredibly lucky in Toronto where I found a place for 750 a month and was earning $16 an hour. Sounded like more than enough for the cost of living, but after taxes I was pretty much putting more than half my monthly income in rent. On top of that I had to pay for student loans and other bills. \n\nBottom line, if you are wanting to move to Canada for our beautifully scenic environments, free healthcare, and a stable job? \n\nMove to Finland.

Yes and if these people truly believed in God and Jesus they wouldn't run from their countries but actually stay on the ground and stand strong in their faith that God and Jesus are going to help them persevere through all this. As a fully disabled American citizen with a child that doesn't even get $1,000 a month and there's no available housing at all where I live no waiting list to go on people on SSI disability don't get any extra housing help we're not offered separate housing are put on separate lists and low-income Able Body people or the migrants jumping the Border but I was born and raised here paid taxes and worked until my body literally couldn't anymore but I don't hear anybody bitching and screaming and crying about the fact that my son and I would be on the streets if it hadn't been for one of my family members stepping up and giving his housing after a lifetime restraining order issued during my pregnancy on my son's biological do do with domestic abuse situation. I'm also US citizen that spent time in the Wards in Houston and projects and other cities and if you don't think that we don't have the same gun violence drug trafficking human trafficking gangs take it over cartels taking over neighborhoods and communities than you're freaking lying to yourself and everybody else. The same s*** that's taken over these countries is taking over the inner cities have been for decades and these are the same communities that most of these people will end up in. No it's not about not being good Christians part of being a good Christian is reminding people to stand their ground and have faith in Jesus and God and their own home territory and not to give it up to the crime people in the bad politicians. You can't say you believe in God and Jesus Christ and then he's got your back while you're running and that's the truth in the reality that nobody wants to hear the more people run from these countries the more the bad people are able to take over and then we get complaints here in the states about the cost attacks is rightfully so. For those people screaming and shouting that everybody should go out pick up in my grant and bring them home to their house and feed them and take them and I challenge you to do the same thing for homeless before you even do the migrant do homeless American citizens go out and really educate yourself because I'm totally tired of hearing from Americans that the only people that live on the streets are people with mental health problems that need mental health treatment or people that are stoned out and that's where they want to be you guys are so f****** wrong and this is coming from someone that met homeless people spent time around homeless people and understand we have a society that wants to paints a very different picture than what's truly going on because then it allows for hey it's not our problem they want to be there. I remind people all the time and they hate hearing this s*** Jesus never had a house as a matter of fact Jesus basically live like a homeless person after he was an adult particularly and God made sure he was provided for. I mean did you all forget the night they came to take them away they were asleep in an Open Garden it wasn't like they popped up tents or glamper camper sites had some little Adobe type cabins they were sleeping in. As a matter of fact if you pay attention to most of the stories about Jesus and talking about him sleeping he does a lot of sleeping Outdoors. Remember God is a father that's how he's been represented and talked about in the Bible and Jesus was a man without a doubt no biological transgender question ability there. People need to remember that part of being a fair and loving. Is also teaching and discipline and these children following rules. I don't believe hearing God and Jesus telling all these people run from your countries and not have faith that I'm actually going to fix things for you and go run to somebody else actually go run to the United States where all those stuff is traveling through. I never understood the logic of that it's like rats run from the country where they're making the drugs to the country that supplying the globe with it and we're all of these bad people have thousands of people in planted everywhere with guns and hookups. I don't know why people don't understand that we have dirty lawn forcement in dirty politicians that are in bed with the dirty drug cartels that's as much as they are in the country. You don't think that there's not decisions made in the United States based on drugs and I'm not talking about how to put it into them but how to keep them flowing. I have Fred still in Florida and we were all making jokes about how quickly Sanibel Island all the way up to st. Pete got Mainland access so quickly after the last major hurricane that took everything down and we all know what it's from is because that portion of Florida is used to bring a lot of drugs in from South America, Central America. So for all of you that want to post your personal assumptions about homeless people because that's all it is unless you've actually been homeless or spent time around homeless you really have no clue what's going on in the homeless population except what you've been told by the same political talking head media bulshit that's been lying to everybody about a bunch of other stuff too. Don't you get it the politicians don't want people knowing that a lot of the people that are homeless on the street are people that are disabled and aren't disabled because they have mental health problems I know that's the narrative they've been trying to stuff down people's throats.

To think, in that crowd are unregistered violent people, sex offenders, gangsters, poor people who are incapable of following courteous laws and regulations, and foreigners who refuse to learn our ways, language, and customs to help give back to our communities. They come here, use housing and food aid at tax payers expense, work under-the-table jobs and don’t pay taxes, and they save up and send all of their earnings back to their country which adds to THEIR economy. Um, NO.\n\nThe sad part is, in that crowd are also good, creative, humble and kind people who seek a better future. Those should register and come in the RIGHT way. The fact that this was allowed to exist at all is a crime against the legal citizens of Canada. The politicians that have allowed this to carry on should be arrested and tried for Treason. I'm sorry if the country you where born in is a complete sh*thole but that is not our problem. Stay there and make changes there before considering moving.

I'm pretty sure Mexican are not loving The invasion so now they know why Trump was the way he was..because now the Mexicans are trying to do what Trump was trying to do in the first place!! first Mexico gets invaded by Honduras they didn't like that..and now they get invaded by Venezuelans I'm pretty sure they don't like that either!! This is happening to every western country. Someone is moving these poor people. God knows they have legitimate complaints about their home countries so, how can you not be sympathetic? On the other hand, this isn't a tenable way to manage the problem. When I hear stories of how Russia is using people to pressure the Polish border via Belarus, I can't help but wonder, are there other forces at work in some cases? \n\nThis is an issue that deserves the calm attention of all affected nations. Shame on the countries who help these people pack, literally or figuratively.

The root problem is Colombia, which opened its borders, thus allowing thousands of Venezuelans to enter, increasing poverty, crime, women full of children, thugs, etc. Latin America is full of insecurity with this sending neighboring countries problems, these people are a very serious problem where the ONU does nothing, thanks to the ONU we are as we are in our countries, the United States should deport them to their country of origin there should be a a law that returns them to their country and that they send them the aid that they say they require so much, they are lazy criminal thieves, and of course a law that prohibits them from having children. They take advantage of the good faith of these countries, when they are having children, they do not require any kind of help or support, right? they use their children precisely so that these countries give help, they are scoundrels, and measures should already be taken in this regard, The danger we are running thanks to these people, we do not have citizen security, thieves everywhere, criminal gangs operating in our countries where they are killing people, and where is the ONU ? look at the news from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, etc. and they will realize the big problem they will caused in the United States, they must stop all this. They received all the Venezuelans because there was a lot of money delivered in Colombia, they profited and stole this money, and the problem was really left in the hands of the same population.

The world was meant to offer free movement for all. For thousands of years, that's how it was. The current system actually hinders human growth and prosperity. Just consider the United States. It's made of many states. If there's a problem in one place or lack of opportunities, people travel to another state. Thus, people have opportunities to change their without there being any problems for anyone. No one in California is crying that people from NY are stealing their jobs and vice versa. Likewise, if people had free movement globally, people could escape troubles in one place and create opportunities elsewhere. When such a situation exists, God's blessings come too. However, the current way only makes people have to choose between the devil and some sea.

As a Canadian this irks me so much. It is a slap in the face to all Immigrants that came to Canada through legal channels.\nI think the message this sends is: Fuck going the legal way, this is way easier.\n\nI've heard the Premier of Quebec say this is a huge problem for his province, it costs the Govt of Quebec a lot of money to house, feed, and provide medical care to these illegal aliens.\n\nHard to believe that Jelly Ass Trudeau not only encourages these people to come here illegally but welcomes them.\nAs PM the first thing I would have done is erect a huge fence to discourage these illegals.

Not everyone can just be considered an asylum seeekr bec of too much crimes in their countries. Grow up! Crimes happen evrywhere ieven in the USa. So if our attitude is just to let everyone come in for free to our country because their own governments are unable to fix their law and order problems, we are fkd as a nation. True asylum seekers were vicitms of war like vietnam war, Ukraine, Iraq, afghanistan (bec our own US govt caused all the strifes). African countries with civil wars. gang or drug crimes dont count because those are also our problems here in the US. If you work in a hospital like me, you will realize that the illegals crossing the borders (i think they have more sophisticated means now) bring their whole families including very sick ageing parents, disabled family members. And guess what, we are taking care of everyone of them more than our own citizens. I have no problem helping people but if our government shows more biases and leninency to the illegals more than the US citizens/legal residents, then I find that problematic. My heart breaks when the social worker would pressure me to discharge frail, sickly aging pts within nte 48 hour time frame bec medicare wont cover them and they are not eligible forrehab facilities as their status are observationinstead if inpatients while the non-citizens can just drop their chronically ill family members bec they cant take care if them as they are all working. They wont even claim them bec they are “busy”.\nThey can just do whatever they want as they dont have to worry about paying for hospital bills or have credit companies go after them. We are also taking care of their US born children but they are not paying taxes. Our co’untry is in the brink if bankruptcy bec of misplaced sympathy. If we really want to help these people, give them work visa so they can be legal and taxable, or better help their countries to help with drug wars, etc. We cannot sustain these kind of unconditional financial bleed for so long. Before we know it, the whole population outside the Us, have transplanted themselves here for free and without fiscal responsibilities.

Quebec (montreal): Medical care, any public services rude, irresponsive and bureaucracy sucks n complicated (example: people wait for uncertainty just to renew their driving license), THE CRUELEST THING IN QUEBEC INCLUDING MONTREAL IS MEDICAL SERVICES (my god reminds me of third world countries i have ever been in), they will just ignore you heartlessly even if you have RAMQ (quebec heath care coverage), u have to have family doctor n u have to sign up to get one IN UNCERTAIN TIME, some they get family doctor within 3 years, others 5,7 years so on so forth so uncertain, so if u dont have family doctor u wont get treated, and if u have family doctor u will hve to stick to where your family doctor works at only, and to get appointment at some clinic they will put you on wait for some days or even weeks if u get the availability slots for u, if u got emergency u will wait 8,10,12 or 14 hours in pain. I feel bad for montreal citizen i swear, they r so patient with all of this while the tax is one of highest in canada. \n\nNow for rental (apartment in general), the check is crazy long it takes around 2 weeks just to rent, if u r lucky u will get taken if u r not then the landlord will take others, the 1 year lease means 1 year, so far to my experience in alberta like for example, 1 year lease but minimum period u have to stay usually around 3-6 months n after that u can leave with notice to the landlord to vacate the unit. \n\nBut in montreal, u have to find other person to transfer the lease, n if u found the person like i told u earlier, the landlord will check the person n the approval/ disapproval is by the landlord. I had to stay for one year living like hell cause the neighbors freaking so loud n partying every week end night till dawn. Couldn’t even have good sleep for work, so I called 911 two times, the police couldn’t do anything, yet the landlord n the building management kept on saying that they gave warning etc to that tenant, but they didn’t take any further action toward that, n i know they dont care, they care only for money. When i started to file complaint to the TAL(quebec rental board, they r irresponsive, complicated procedures, n in the end they dont solve any problem, on their site said that renter or landlord has to retain lawyer, the hell they r there for then? \n\nThe apartment building is tiny, tight old, the wall is thin, u can hear everything from your neighbour upstair, downstair n on your side too.. \n\nMONTREAL IS ALSO SO DENSED AND TIGHT, the main road so tight with cars parked on both sides of the road to ways only one lane on each way, cos mostly apartment building they dont provide parking spot, so they have to park on the road side, i feel bad for the bus driver i swear, with snow mounting on both side of the road makes driving bus is just so stressful, almost every neighbourhood looks dirty, trashes, people littering every where. Im Not complaining but that’s what it is, im living in montreal currently for more than one year but im just gonna move out of here lol

It is not safe to see most doctors in canada , they all push big pharma drugs that have more side affects that are worse than your original problem was. I have almost been killed by malpractice numerous times , it's honestly safer to go to the vet and I am not kidding !

As a Canadian I can tell you there is no bs “silent systemic racism” here. That’s pure liberal propaganda. We have enough of that here. The homeless problem here is a direct result of failed policies and egregious out of control spending by our completely inept government. Addicts are fed drugs because of more failed enabling bleeding heart liberal policies that do absolutely nothing to address the problem. The vast majority of Canada does NOT support our government. Our elections are a joke. Toronto alone hold more voting power than all of western Canada and Quebec considers itself its own country.

Lived in Canada all my life. Love it. But,,, there is no future here. High taxes, poor government,, low wags, racism is a huge problem, and its not just white peoples. The immigrants can be super racist also. All this crap that Canadians are polite is not real. Its called passive aggression. When a Canadian says sorry if you bump into them in the store ,, they are being sarcastic! “Sorry you are an idiot and made me apologize to you eh!?” We are not nearly as nice as people think. The health care system here is trash! And will never improve. And its NOT free! Canadians get the tar taxed out of them their entire lives! Every single move one makes is taxed! Tax on tax on tax. Not sure I agree with Quebec being no 1. Being born and raised in that province, and able to speak French fluently. I had no problem moving to Ontario. Quebec is for sure a beautiful province, but that said, has the worst health care system, the political structure is definitely anti English. Any immigrant must go to French school, unless you pay privately. Taxes are the highest in the all of Canada, and you get very little in return. Personally, I would creep over the border into Ontario, and if you are working in a Quebec, pay a hell of a lot less in taxes, have a more liberal education system, both in English or French, and healthcare is much more accesible.

Employment rate is a problem because too many lazy individuals would rather get welfare than work, then they complain about foreigners coming to Canada to take all the jobs that they don't want anyway!!!!!stop the welfare handouts and get the lazy ones to get a JOB or starve.....

NYC has clean tap water. Problem is the pipes in your building might be from the 1800s. But the segregation is dead right. I remember being a kid (20+ years ago) walking through Queens and I'm in a neighborhood that's lauded for being the biggest melting pot. But these MFs were racist towards black people. Hell every neighborhood that wasn't predominantly black, didn't want blacks in it. I traveled all over the city and had to deal with that. Even in the Heights where most Dominicans are my complexion. Let them find out I'm not Dominican too...\n\nI found this to be true in most places I've been to in America. Sounds like you're a immigrant yourself, there is like no racism at all, it's more like if you're a immigrant or your someone of a different culture you associate people having a problem with how you're doing things as if it's to do with your race and not your culture. When you relocate to a new country you are supposed to adopt the new culture. A Canadian finds it insulting for immigrants to come to a country and not try to integrate and be part of it. It's ignorant to come to another country and not respect their way and how they do things. Whether you like it or not there is a Canadian way and you need to do it when you come here. You do not come here and act like you do in your country you came from it's not the same thing. You definitely don't come to Canada and preach that there's racism it's not in our vocabulary you need to get it through your head. Is there some racial jargon absolutely but you need to get used to it because it's a lot less than every other country. It is also impossible to get rid of if completely. As well stereotypes will be created because there are stereotypes with certain races that come to a country thinking they continue acting as they do in their country in the new country they move to. Stereotyping is not racism. You will have to need Ian's that might not like certain races because they don't conduct yourselves properly in the country. It's stereotypical and it's expected and should be expected if people coming to a country not respecting that country's values. Nobody wants people going to their country acting like they do in the country they came from. And if the Immigrant can't get used to how things work here than they don't belong in the country they need to go to the country that is a home for them. Canada isn't the Wonderland of all Races where everybody gets to still act like they're in their birth country in Canada when it's not.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

I came to Canada in1998. It took almost a year to get my papers approved. It cost me $2'500.00 to get all the papers reviewed and my wife had to sign a paper where she will be responsible for me for the next 10 years. Are all these newcomers going to same process? The answer is no. So there is a big problem with the system. And I can almost feel that is more about votes for the Liberal Party than a big heart. Nothing against immigrants. But these country is collapsing and when it happens you will blame it on someone else.
