How does it compare to Nigeria? Which do you prefer?

Putting professional people from other countries, doctors, nurses etc, through recertification process before being allowed to practice in their fields, is not done only in Canada, it is done in the US as well and other developed countries, l am sure. The purpose is to be sure of the applicant's professional competence. In some countries, they cut corners with their educational system with such things as expo, cash and other things for grades. The Canadian system is prove what your paper says you're, so what is wrong with that. You don't go to an Organized country and expect it to be like Nigeria. I really don't get the belly aching.

Hi Kemi, thank you for the informative video. Although I have a background in a medical field, specifically a Bachelor's degree in physiology, I am currently employed as an HR officer in Nigeria. My goal is to continue my education and become a nurse in Canada.\nCan you provide suggestions on how I should format/write my CV?

It's fucking US... America is a fucking continent. Canada is an American country in the American continent... Saying you moved from America to Canada sounds stupid. It's like saying you moved from Nigeria to Africa... Dumb asf...

Imagine complaining about not being able to build wealth in Canada. In Nigeria you essentially don’t pay tax and you have no roads, no light, no security. But I’m with you on the boringness, lol.

So woke. Why do you put down White People for “silent racism”?If Canada is so racist why do so many non Whites want desperately to enter Canada? Why are they not desperate to get into Saudi Arabia or Kenya or Nigeria?Don’t like ???Then please leave!
|
| 2023-01-03 | 0 |
Why haven't you guys come back to Nigeria then?
|

Hey this is the first video I watched and wanted to say this. Canada DOES NOT have some systemic racism. Please do not be a clueless liberal.\n1. The income difference based on skin color is based on level of education and jobs chosen, NOT some skin color. This is why if you break down the income difference based on the countries of origin, black immigrants from countries with high education levels such as ones from Nigeria have a higher average income compared to the rest of the population, even though their skin is as dark as any black person. \n2. I suggest you visit Richmond BC, Surrey BC, or Vancouver Downtown, so many successful Asian and brown people there. In fact, white people are moving to suburbs since asian immigrants are buying up expensive realestate in big cities like Vancouver and Toronto. Still RaCiSM? \n3. Whites (especially white males) are the only group in Canada that can be openly discriminated against in hiring and school applications, as diversity quotas require a minimal number of women and non-whites to be chosen, over whites (and men)who may meet the criteria. Everyone needs to be treated equally, and solely based on their abilities and qualifications. \n\nAnyone with a half a brain can see that it is better to be a non-white person in Canada right now than other way around. And I am an Asian myself saying this.

People complain too much. Either manage in Nigeria or japa and hustle. Nigerians are always looking for comfort in everyway. Nowhere is easy.

If youre from Europe you might move back..\nBut if you're from Nigeria,Somalia,,Pakistan, etc if you can't find a job, you're still not moving back!\nThats the mistake the Canadian government makes with its immigration

I live in South Africa ?? but I have never been out of this country. Canada ?? sounds interesting. I think it would be good if you could do videos on Nigeria ??.

Please come back to Nigeria and pay low rent...no auto or health insurance required.
|
| 2022-12-11 | 0 |
Pls...kindly stop misleading people. Everything you both talked about is false. You are both obviously international students with little income. People are doing very well in canada. As regards tax...money is put back into the system to give the quality of life to enjoy. What changes is done in Nigeria where u both come from? what does your government do in Nigeria to empower the poor masses?. You talk about private health services...very funny. Even poor nations have private health care services. If you both are not grateful...pls go back to Nigeria.

Interestingly, all the people interviewed seemed to have had a first degree in Nigeria considering how new they are in Canada, even the interviewer, thus if Nigeria is so bad how did they blend easily with the Canadian system if they learnt/gained nothing from home? The problem with mankind is that we all forget to thank God for little mercies. We focus only on what we lack but not thankful for the little we have. That foundation in Nigeria, that good culture, in Nigeria, that Nija intelligence, that Nija confido is what makes it easy to emigrate out of Nija and do well anywhere in the world seamlessly. So we gained plenty from Nija just that we FOCUS on the things we don't have and such spirit of ingratitude may not enable us change Nija system. So ingratitude is the issue too. We need to acquire the good things out their and come back and develole Naija. That's the spirit of gratitude otherwise our cousins/brothers and sisters who may not be able to emigrate will still continue to suffer the same things we ran away from.

You are free to go back to Nigeria. Last I checked it’s a free country.

Most Canadian citizens & the immigrants in Canada after getting Canadian PR using it as a gateway to America, they're actually moving to a better country like USA America. Not going back to their home countries like India, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Nigeria, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, Phillipines, Vietnam, Venuzvela, Colombia etc.. Most either move to US apply for a work visa & Green Card for citizenship. Or if they're 'money minded' & highly skilled in demanded professions, they move to Dubai, Kuwait, Doha Qatar, all the Middle East GCC Gulf countries, where they earn twice the money in Gulf, than they might earn in USA, like Surgeons, Doctors, Software Engineers, IT etc

The question is a stupid question and an insult on Nigeria.

Very relatable to the current situation in Nigeria embodied in the “JAPA” movement

All of you are complaining about canada being expensive.\nDo you know what is going on in some Africa country.\nExample Nigeria.\n\nThings are so fucking expensive.\nWater is expensive, houses is expensive\nFood is expensive.\n\nEverything is now from 100 naira above, you can finish 1000 naira with in a second.\n\nAll most 4 of currency is no longer in use.\n\nEverything is now 100 naira.\nAnd the most painful part is the salary is not increasing, instead it is reducing.\n\n\nTo rent an apartment in Anambra state is going up to 250000 naira a year.\n\nMy advice is go there get your green card and move to other countries if it is not suitable for you. \nStop complaining only those back at home can tell you how expensive thing are.\n\n\nAm in Nigeria right now and my University was on strike untill recently they call off the strike.\n\nAll federal university in Nigeria have been on 8 mouth strike this year and of last year 9 mouths strike.\n\nI don't even know what am doing in school anymore.

I am really surprised that majority of them dont want to go back to Nigeria. \nHope they will change their mind after few years\nI also live in Canada, i am from Benin Republic, most of my friends here (99%) want to go back in Africa as soon as possible To live and run business.

Before you think of going back, listen to the people living back in Ghana or Nigeria and choose wisely.
|
| 2022-10-06 | 1 |
It's really not nice to hear people saying such things about their own country. I understand that things are hard in Nigeria but this is not it? Nigerians have normalized talking bad about their country and aren't willing to change the situation at home by investing in Nigeria. Shout out to the Ghanaian sister

You’re kidding yourself if you think there is much of a difference here in the US. Other than being able to move somewhere warm, the pressure, taxes, prices are pretty much the same. Although, my surgeon is from Nigeria and he loves it here.

We all miss Nigeria, good food, friends, owambe, but nobody wants to move back to Nigeria, very funny. I enjoyed watching it.\nBy the way, it's my first time here.

CANADA IS MY HOME ,Nigeria is my place of birth
|

As for me there absolutely nothing special about Nigeria ?? and also don’t even think or wish to go back ?. ( my whole life and life goals I hope to achieve them here in the USA ??) in terms of food ? I still eat Nigerian ?? food here and also other cultures their own food ?. ( at 19 years old I bought my self a laptop ? and I also work and earn a living something 90% of 19 years old can’t do in Nigeria ??). Stop hyping Nigeria ?? nothing is there ?.

People are very happy to get out of Nigeria because of no job, insecurity, no constant power supply, no good road, corruption everywhere, public transportation problems etc. But after many years abroad, you realise that there is nowhere like home. You also have to communicate what you learn abroad to other people. You can enjoy your two contries .
|
| 2022-09-20 | 0 |
So in Nigeria, both males and females use the name Adeola? And why do Nigerians eat so much? ????

Taxes are good. You or your parents probably left from a country because of the problems caused by low taxation/misuse of public funds. Taxes are good. Great points though. Canada has a lot of problems buy the good easily outweighs the negatives. I love and miss Nigeria but I don't think as an atheist, left leaning creative I'd ever be able to go back. Also...Taxes are good.

It sounds so dumb seeing two Nigerian ladies complain about standard of living in Canada while their own country is 1000000 times worse. I felt ashamed watching this as a Nigerian and I realised people would always keep complaining. Dear ladies if Nigeria was 20% as good as canada , it would be a thing to rejoice about. Leave those who are born citizens of canada to do the complaining not you.
