Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

Came to Vancouver 21 years ago - gas was 40 cents a litre and a 1 bdrm was $800 a month in Kitsilano - i made $45 K a year - Now very hard to even get 50K a year - gas $1.60 - rent $2k - Wages did not go up but everything else did. The quality of life is crap. Now they bring in this Vaccine Passport and the next thing will be chinese style social credit system. No thanks ! I 'm giving it until February when they review it and if it does not go away then i will !!! Europe here i come !

I came to Canada when I was 9 years old with my father and sister so in some ways I was young so it was easy in a way for me, but as I got older it hit me being Spanish dominican ?? the culture different it's quite obvious, you're absolutely right people stick together in their own Community or culture, and is kind of hard to make friends, I know Spanish people here in Canada Toronto but they seem to stick to themselves and you were to think because I'm also Spanish that would have been easy for me to talk to them, but is not so sadly, without offending anyone Canada is not for anyone, you gotta be strong, Brave, quick, and smart. Credit matter alot here in Canada or you're nobody, having reference matters a lot or you cannot get anything done, the level of education matter alot here in Canada, and many more.. I can go on but there pros and cons like every country, but in all honesty I don't see myself living here forever I'm planning to move.

Amazing explanations! Some travel agencies sell the idea about how wonderful Canada is and they make sense people can go to Canada, get a job, and get a lot of money. And everything is wonderful as a fairy tale! That's an illusion. Of course, Canada is an amazing country, but in each country, we need to understand the language, society, and culture. A major of people are not prepared to study these conditions. When I tell around a society that involves understanding the Canadian economy, how to prepare professionally you are, the climate and conditions to live there (in Canada). The people need to try do not to fall into the conversation of exchange courses and travel agencies that sell illusions, especially of agencies that work on Youtube to sell their travel packages.

Islamophobia, racism, discrimination, is in Canada, unless otherwise you owner operator mean you own your business , you will see good weather if its summer if its winter just watch out, lol, a lot of struggle long hour work timings if you want trade, or should be PhD or doctor or big degree, really its not easy life here to as usual anywhere else, like when i go back in Pakistan i see more rich people in Pakistan, big houses, but we have to work hard in Canada, ready for surprises in Canada, but its organized country, they got no feelings for you u got to wok here, no-one can help you here you on your own.

I submitted my file on my own, although i was sceptical earlier but when i contacted few agents and enquired about their fees, I decided to apply on my own. Luckily i was able to complete the documentation in time. Its been two months since i have submitted my profile, now waiting for a decision. Class is what separates, your skin colour is the not why you are separated. Your wealth or lack of, is what separates you, not your race. Poor people have more crime because they have less not because of the colour of their skin. Gangs dont form to separate colour but to make money. There is organized crime everywhere, you've opened your eyes to racism. Now open them and see you've let organized crime into your business world now you aid in the laundering of criminals money. Those criminals formed gangs to disperse their drugs. The drugs promote crime and those that are convicted of crimes go to jail. If you have money you can support your drug habit, if you cant crime goes up. Rich people do drugs like poor people but poor people cant support it so crime becomes the means to get the next fix. Again it is lack of money that is causing crime. The reason it appears there are fewer white people arrested is the white people had opportunity from racism in the form of slavery. All the slaves would have nothing when slavery was abolished. Racism was the reason we had slaves. Economics is why we have gangs.

native americans have it worse than anyone by far. My nephew is native and he'll do fine. his parents are amazing and he's ridiculously brilliant so i don't see him doing anything but succeed, but a kid without the back up of a strong family and his IQ, heck i don't think it will go well. it does hurt his feelings, even at his young age the other kids he's in school with are very disappointing.\ni have witnessed this discrimination almost every time i am where natives are other than where they are well known. Little kids get looks that aren't at all admiring their cuteness....and they are plenty cute kids. I was shocked when it was told to me, unbelieving, thats when i started watching.

Just by seeing this makes me think if this is what was happening when I was in a cvs one time. I ordered some stones for my nails online but it was going to come later thin I needed so I seen cvs had some stones with a set of nails but I was not able to decide on what stones so I bought one of all the ones they had but I had a lady walk pass me so many times. I happened to notice after a week later a go back to pick up medication and they put the nails in the front of the store. Smh I have everything I need when it comes to my nails and know never buy it from cvs. They was high priced anyways. It cost me 32 dollars for the 10 stones at cvs and my order online was 25 for 100 stones.

For the shopping experience, they have the guys go in carrying hand bags. That's going to get their attention since shoplifters could easily put things into the bags and most people don't bring computer bags, hand bags etc when they shop.\n\nI've had instances where people were awful to me for no apparent reason (I'm white), and it struck me that if i was black, I would attribute the terrible treatment to racism since I couldn't think of any other reason for the bad treatment. \n\nAnother form of racism not covered here is the racism of low expectations. If people assume that you are too dumb to understand something or too poor to afford something, that's wrong. Same holds true for treating women as if they won't understand. Usually this behavior is done, not by bad people, but by people who just haven't had a lot of interactions with different people of different races. So they haven't had the chance to have those stereotypes personally disproven.

Just because of MY CLOTHES. It happens so much that when I was out with my extremely Christian father at a store HE noticed it and I DIDNT. I can’t imagine what it’s like for someone to have that happen because of their skin colour. I can change my clothes. They can’t change their skin colour.

I’m sorry, but I have very little sympathy for them, they don’t go through the immigration process everybody else has to, and then they in most cases lie about being refugees, when most of them are economic migrants, and add to that this guy seems to been in North America for a few years and can’t even speak English, doesn’t seem to help his case.

This is play-pretend journalism. If they -actually- wanted to do real journalism and not some undeserved-guilt-provoking, race-baiting propaganda piece, they would have had to go the extra mile and cross-reference such behaviors with cold-hard statistics about crime convictions by ethnicity, showing that the discriminatory behavior is entirely based on racism and not on statistical risk. We're all virtue-signaling non-racists in front of the cameras but at the end of the day, when you're a clerk or a shop owner and you know those stolen items are going to come out of your paycheck one way or another, you have to face reality and analyze patterns in order to survive. We need to have a little bit of compassion for Muslims who are struggling with this. Imagine that you were born into Islam. You didn't ask for it. You just happened to be unlucky enough to be born into a Muslim country and raised under it. It's not their fault that they believe what they believe. \nWe need to help them to free them from the chains of Islam. The way to help them and free them from Islam is by educating them with the truth. It's difficult for them to accept because they have devoted their entire life to it. It's also quite a shock when they see all of the errors in the Quran which is supposed to be the pure word of an all-powerful and all-knowing God. Then they see things like- the sun revolves around the earth and sets in a pool of muddy water. It's like somebody telling you that your dear friend has been lying to you for the last 50 years of your life. You just can't believe it. You don't want to believe. You defend your friend, you love your friend. \n\nSo instead of insulting these poor Muslim people try helping them by suggesting that they read the Koran cover to cover from beginning to end. Then they will see for themselves that this 7th century book conflicts with modern scientific and historical knowledge. That's when they will realize that Muhammad invented the entire thing so that people would obey him and treat him like a god on Earth. That's when they will realize that he was a 7th century man who knew nothing about the scientific knowledge that we have now in this century. That's when they will realize that the Quran is filled with threats of punishment and violence for not believing and not obeying the supposed word of God given to them by Muhammad. I went to canada with my family when i was 6 years old i thought it was so beautiful the native americans treated us with kindness my dad bought me some moccisens there. A chinese immagrant restaurant owner was nice to us the white people many of them wrent very nice this was in 1969 in the summer but i loved the wilderness and wanted to go back and see the indians. I was a dreamer. Unfortenately and through my own fault after i got out of the military honerably discharged . I got a dui again it was my stupidity but i payed my fine did my jail time and got educated about not drinking and driving. It is not a felony i the US but it is in Canada so canada gets ahold of my driving records maybe they hacked in. And said i could not go into canada. I noticed they let george w. Busch in though oh well i dont think canada even pretends fainess under the law . Any way they are now letting elligals into canada and giving them a hotel room . The duplicity is absurd personally i no longer want to go to canada for anything i think the wall should be put on the northern border. When it came to our driving records there is no border does my information belong to a foriegn country? As US citizens do you think your information belongs to a other country?

That computer test proves nothing...people relate to people who are most similar to them. Period. \n\nLets pull the data on how many black people discriminate against black people. For example, do black landlords who own and rent expensive apartments treat every applicant the same? Will they accept more whites or more blacks? Will they show preference to people with higher incomes? What about single moms? The disabled? I've worked in retail, and color has nothing to do with the attention you give a customet. When I go shopping not once do I look over my shoulder to see who is watching me. This is a pretty misleading video.\nYes, our minimum wage went up to $14/h compared to the rest of Canada, however keep in mind it had to accommodate to the cost of living. You're lucky if you can even find a LEGAL small 1 bedroom basement for $800/month. Its not common. \nA car? Brampton has the highest insurance premium in all of Canada. \n\nDon't get me wrong. I LOVE Canada, I couldn't see myself living anywhere else because it is my home. \nHowever, when you compare it to india, in India you're only paying for electricity, gas, and food that you need to buy at the grocery store. \nBut if you really needed to budget and save money, food is LITERALLY growing in your backyard! All the veggies, fruits, etc. You just need to buy the grains and proteins! \n1.5 lakhs sounds great per month. But 1.5 lakhs is realistically not enough to live in Canada. \n\nDon't believe me? Google cost of living in Canada. Google how much a family of 4 would need to make to survive per month in Canada. Also, make sure to check out CANADIAN WEBSITES for this data. (.ca sites or try Global News or CTV news since they have this data)\n\nThe problem is everyone that comes to Canada always comes only to one area which is usually Toronto! However this makes the cost of living go up to accommodate this many people. Compared to Regina, or St. John's not many people immigrate there! It is a smaller city compared to Toronto but at least it's more affordable.\nDo you're research before coming here. Find out whats the best situation for YOUR FAMILY and what YOU can afford. \nCanada is a beautiful place, and yes, Brampton does have a lot of the Punjab culture, but don't be fooled. Be prepared when you come to Canada so you don't have such set backs once here. \n\nHope this helps!!

Hijab , niqab , praying on the streets,beards without a mustache , Arabic script ,and early morning prayer call in morning at the mosque ,are the tools to mock the non-Muslims, with a kind of sadistic arrogance which they hide behind our own democratic laws but which they want to change if not carve out a new Islamic country out of the host country when they reach a sizable percentage (which they do rapidly) but the problem is not solved because not everyone will go to the their new country , some of them stay back in the name of moderate Islam , secularism, human rights, and same new story repeated until the whole country becomes Islamic and shariya is implemented and the minorities under it are thrown out or forced to leave . So if the west has to survive they have to know the history of muslim around the world and not just Quran, the best example is India.

I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.

If they really want to live out their stoneaged kalifat, then they HAVE to go back to places where they are surrounded by fellow muslims. I'm a US expat living in China. In china, you cannot get a green card. I leave every 60 days because I can only stay for up to 60 days, just to turn around and come right back that same day. Once i'm back in China, I need to register my address with the police, and update my resident card. To get a 60 day business visa here, I had to get a Chinese company send me an invite, then need it to get approved. The process was expensive. But I follow Chinese law, and respect it with everything that I am. This is China and this is there laws. So who is VICE to make a victim out of this person? Just a crock of shit. This guy can go to many many countries around the world. India, Indonesia, even China but from the looks of it, this guy could not handle China. Why does he absolutely need to settle in Canada or the USA and cry when they don't want him? Go mother fucker, go anyplace in the world you want, just go.

Ice is sending all illegals backs costing citizens to much when they don't work and demand things that really their not even suppose to get . This is nothing... Go visit Surrey or Abbotsford in BC, Canada. Largest population of East Indians outside of India. I do have a few issues... if it's a multicultural country then come on Canada, letting in more of one race over another is unfair and unwanted. I don't want to see Chinese and East Indians making up the entire population of Canada in 50 years. I also want to say FUCK the relaxation of motorcycle helmet laws for Sikhs. They made a fool of Canada when they did this. Seems like they don't have a problem wearing a helmet when playing ice hockey. Not to mention they look ridiculous riding a Harley while wearing a turban. I am insulted as a Canadian how east Indians try to exploit or change Canada's laws. Oh and let's not talk about the gang violence brought on by the east Indians in BC. Too bad Canada can't deport the parents who turned a blind eye to their sons illegal activities in gangs. The parents are completely to blame. Innocent people are being shot and killed in quiet neighbourhoods around Vancouver. I wish I could say nice things about east Indians but it's quite hard to.

The problem with these people is Most of them get involved in Politics they abuse the system by saying the father was deported so they can suck benefits from the tax payer and state when in fact the father is working and with the family another thing is that they run from communist socialist corrupt Nations and come to our countries to vote for the same policies they ran from .I feel for these people i really do but why didn't he go threw protocol and what about the people who been waiting for years doing it the right way .

A lot of people comment about how illegal immigration is ok, and blah blah blah. It's simple to say that when you don't feel the direct impact. Change the US as a country to your house. Now let's say the neighbors land Lord is beating the shit outta everyone in that household (play on the violence that's happening in country of orgin). One of then move into your house without letting you know beforehand (illegals). Let's say you don't mind and understand why they did so. Now they work hard around the house and get a job to spend for themselves and send money next door to the family still left behind. . But they don't have to pay for electricity, gas (aka taxes). And since you own a 3 bed room house, things don't change that much. Now 2 more of the neighbors flee because of the asshole land Lord. Now you have to start working slightly harder to pay for your utilities aka taxes. Now you start seeing how more people affect your household. Now even more people flee the next door neighbors and you work even harder for utilities plus your trash is overflowing, have to invest in larger trash cans, fix the doors or ascetic's(pipes, faucets, tubs etc) in your house from over use or mismanagement. Plus you have to start driving their kids to school, you have to get a bigger vehicle (that's a play on the education systems bloating classroom problems)spend more on gas and car maintenance, and since they all don't speak English, to have to spend money on making signs to inform them of the house rules and dangers. You have to invest time out of your schedule to inform them how things work in your house hold because at their house they walked around naked or shit with the door open (play on different societal norms or religions) and may even have to alter your rules as not to impose and anger them. Know the house is over filled and they expect you to buy a bigger house (play on the welfare state)I mean I can go on... But people reading this can get the drift. Point is, yes i understand that people want a better life and all immgration in not necessarily evil, but you can't just let anyone come in because you feel bad. Making change based off emotions of a few is detrimental to the whole.

I was born in Seattle and left to Canada (married) when I was in early 20's!  This then was a good change for me as Vancouver was a great city compared to Seattle, moved right downtown and had a blast so for a young person (then) was great.  Met some great people from all over the world and had health care, medical/Dental etc.... I worked in the greater Vancouver area for 8 years and it was tough, very strict, and did not help that I was from the states, white bread Canadian seemed a bit jealous that I was there, sometimes not very friendly.  The Europeans I met were actually better to deal with and I got along quite well with them.  The cost of living was about the same as in Seattle.  After about 8 years being in Canada and working hard I saw America booming and the Canadian dollar was as low as $.62 cents (in late 90's) so I took my craft from Vancouver and brought it to the US just across the border, I became much happier working in the States, I took a little bit of bs but not bad from some that I had a Canadian accent (go figure when I moved up there I had a twang) I really never left the united states I will always be American and I have been still working in the US for over 20 years and deal with mainly Americans on a daily basis from all over the State of Washington.  Depending on where you grow up or end up you should never see a border Seattle and Vancouver have more in common than Vancouver / Calgary in fact most Canadians don't care much for the other provinces.  After 30 years of being part of both countries, I can say that people are people both have great offerings and if you took the best of Canada and America to combine then we would all prosper, there is so much both can learn from each other.  Bottom line:I take the best of both worlds and what they have to offer, yes, I have found less expensive goods in Canada than what they cost in the states.  I have seen it from both eyes, and if you cant be open culturally then stay away.

there is racism and prejudice everywhere. on every level no matter gender, race, religion, culture. etc. no matter where you go. but if these guys take a trip to any of those corrupted third world backwards countries they would see how good they really have it. us foolish americans canadians dont know how good we have it. we are living in the freest country nation and society ever seen in the history of the world. at least our country creates new laws every year to make our people feel safe. but other islamic countries continue following laws made in the 15th century. do you see and appreciate the difference.\n\nsure people will label you based off your skin tone and your demeanor. BUT WHY? because they have had bad history with those that look just like you. i have had REALLY REALLY bad experiences with asians in everything. so i naturally stay away from all asians and i do not trust them. HOWEVER, i feel when foreigners come to this country they ruin it for the rest of the citizens that are of similar foriegn race eventhough they were born there. WE NEED TO PUT OUR NATIONS CULTURES first. and thats what we have to teach everyone. we put our canada america pride priority and whatever culture we came from LAST. THATS WHY its best we learn to fix our people in a whole in our country before bringing in anymore foreigners who do not respect our nation. lets stop third world immigration and work on making our country great again. so we can stop all this crime in our neighborhoods. because it hinders our progress. once every race color ethnicity of people are acting right then we will have no prejudice based off color or even gender because everyone is giving everyone respect. but because CRIME IS HIGH in all foreign races, and we continue to disrespect eachother. nobody feels safe anymore. whether your light skinned white or black.

Laws are laws you seek asylum in the first safe landing not your choice of wherever whenever. Why then can I not leave Canada and go live in another country undocumented then when I fear deportation just go to another country? Because it's illegal yeah. Ugh we are not here to be used and walk all over like a doormat especially if you are not working and paying taxes but taking everything you can get. There are plenty of people in dangerous situations like ukrane and other war torn areas that legit need a place he and his family were already in the US they shouldn't have left there to make fake claims here. I don't know why it is canada's fault ? don't get me wrong, I understand the struggle that they have to go through but thinking that crossing over and having a balloon saying welcome home when its not yours is being a little ignorant. and trust me if I could kick out the 25 000 sirian that our prim minister let in I would without a tears.

While i feel bad for this family, they cannot say they are refugees as they were refugees when they entered America yrs ago but they are not if they go from being away from their birth country for over a decade! I'm sorry but you ain't no refugee in Canada \nHere in Australia we have very tight immigration laws and its absolutely harder to get here as our country stands alone we have no linking countries.

Understand wanting a better life but this is what you put your family thru when you go into a country that you do not have citizenship and just expect to stay. You should try to do things ahead of time or enter the country legally and go from there. You wouldn't have had to flee to Canada if you hadn't snuck into the United States. Most of these people don't even try to enter the country legally and go about it the right way. They just come on in and then cry when shit doesn't go their way down the road.

In general, people are not given to searching very hard for the truth. Being sinners, we humans are concerned with what pleases us-------the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, as the Bible tells us. All this is sin, 'for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God' (Romans 3:23, New Testament). But islam so obviously uses religion to justify and cover up sin! Therefore those who are not brainwashed by it should be able to see through it, that it is a system of lies and oppression. \n\nIt is understandable when leaders of countries steeped in islam go along with it. But there is NO EXCUSE for leaders like Trudeau, who have NOT been brought up in it and yet support and promote it. They have no regard for truth, no respect for God, and do not care about the millions across the world who have been and are being victimized by islam.

This journalist needs to research the religion properly because honor killings are not condoned whatsoever... this concept is just belted out by haters who are on a smear campaign of Islam. And then this journalist gave that farzana lady the last word of her 'critical' views on Islam it just undid everything the Muslims were doing before her giving a clearer picture of Islam, farzana lady will just make people confused I mean those are her personal opinions but how does it help this piece? Also last time I checked following fashion trends is not synonymous to peer pressure as what journalist wants to suggest that girl was peer pressured in to wearing the scarf when she clearly explained she wasn't. And when that guy was talking about teaching women Islamic studies journalist is like but you just teach them Islam not anything else WELL it's a mosque that's what people usually do if they want to learn religion they go to place of worship, if they want to learn something else they go to school or university. She's just twisting their words to give this undertone to the piece that yes the stereotypes are true but Muslims are still somewhat ok. Just stop spreading the hate and provide non-bias journalism!

The thing I don't understand is that when people come to our country to live and enjoy our way of living, why can't they just follow our beliefs and not try to change them... I will never change my culture to make any immigrant feel more like home, if they don't like it then they can go back to where ever they came from... I personally don't mind immigrants, but they have to start excepting our culture and not try to change...

Why is it that you have plenty to say about muslim women having their right to wear the burka but when I had to go to Jeddah when one of your stinking, rotten, filthy men, blew up my husband,s car, with him in it, that......... Because he couldn,t get out of his death bed to come to the airport to get me, they were going to send me back to the UK on the plane I had arrived in and..... I wasn,t allowed to leave that airport until I had a burka on! You people make me sick to my stomach and if it had ever been up to me, not one of your lousy people would have ever been allowed to stain my soil.

I don't feel angry or upset, because I've experience being followed in a store and I've worked in clothing retail and seen the actual types of people that do steal and to be honest, it doesn't matter the color of the skin or the amount of money a person have, thieves come in all different background. I've seen white women steal, I've seen black women steal, I've seen Hispanic women steal. I've seen a group of people steal, I've seen toddlers steal. What they taught me in retail is just like best buy, you have to make your presence known, but there is a difference between harassment and actually helping the customer. The sad thing is this will never go away as long as people continue to steal. and when you have minorities that do steal, it makes it hard for the other hard working minorities to catch a break.

We live in N.Y. about 2 hrs from the border to Canada and we love to go to NOTL for a quick vacation whenever we can - usually 4 or 5 times a year! We find Canadians to be WAY more chill than Americans and we love visiting Canada. One thing I'll tell you is figure out the insurance because we've had employees who didn't bother to do this resulting in them having none. When that happens, and you file your income taxes, the IRS takes a fine out of your return. The first year it's like $100, but it goes up each year. After a few years they can fine you like $600. Depending on how much you earn you may be able to apply for assistance in paying your health care premium or may not have to pay at all. I would encourage you to do that before you start getting fined...and welcome to the USA lol!

As a young child I remember viewing the Amish women as being in a chronic 'state of funeral' based solely on their signature dark garb. An interview with a very rich Saudi woman (living in Saudi Arabia), in how she spoke of her own frustration by not being allowed to own a drivers license, instead being driven in her husbands pricey Mercedes by a hired driver. She forced this issue on her local, home town government when she attempted to embarrass the officials of this primitive law, which in her view, had outlived its purpose and no longer applied to modern women in her culture. This interview went viral being shown on multi media networks and the town became embarrassed by the exposure. We should all applaud these women for their natural right to be free from outdated ritual and constraints continue to impose these indignities upon women. Muslim women living in Canada who wear the typical dark cloth across the features of the face and over the body are putting forth a message that they are 'second class citizens', are 'less than equal', are 'one mans property' - not unlike a common barn yard animal but possibly owning less importance than an animal since an animal can be traded for goods or services for profit. One can understand how real (natural) Canadien women can view this type of apparel as a slap in the face of their gender, a violent slap to go to the 'back of the line', 'take it lying down and like it'. So much is fear based and these Muslim women should shed their fear as layers of dark folds are sent falling to the floor - once and for all...
