I was having a conversation with some people international students that said that they don’t really study here (or are studying certain things) and they’re just laughing saying that they just came here for fun… Which also plays into this whole international student scam that’s going on. But to see that they had that reaction like it was funny, it annoyed me. Obviously, I didn’t say something I just said “be careful who you say that to.” Because one day somebody might just snap. \n\nLook as much as the gov exploits us, I just wish everybody came here with a fair heart not trying to exploit people.. no matter where you’re from or your purpose being here.

But the prices just kept going up and up, there was not enough new housing built (on purpose, to maintain the value of Canadian real estate), and the economy needed new immigrants to fill thousands of jobs and to keep funding the health care system and other social benefits. So now we have a housing crunch, where even Canadians who own homes cannot sell them because they have nowhere to move to (everything around them is just as expensive), immigrants can't find housing, and the health care system is overloaded. It's a proper mess, but it's not as simple as saying the problem is with too many immigrants.

The shortage of healthcare worker is largely due corrupt hospital administrations and greedy corporations. They purposely under staff the workplace for more profits. At the same time, The extra healthcare funding goes to building stores, installing advertisements and not to improving patient care, nor to improve working conditions.

I see many homes once occupied by a family go for sale and become an apartment building for students and/or immigrants. So many people going into the homes that traffic increased many times , moving trucks any time of the month (they must rent by day or week?) and they really pack them in. A 4 bedroom home can see 10 people in it, they don't use the driveway, it sits empty in most of the homes that sold for this purpose . They are generally quit and very inconspicuous except for the people in and out all the time with backpacks on. My only complaint is they they move, they trash the furniture on the side of the street for the neighborhood to enjoy until the city picks it up. \n\nThe person owning that home is making bank on the rentals. so I see why they don't want to stop this.

Canada is a dump now after 8 years of the liberal government. I moved here in 2017 and surprised to see how fast a country can deteriorate. Now unless you are rich and enjoy the boring culture and cold weather, simply don’t come to Canada. Everything is unaffordable and the government purposely let in so many immigrants to compete for necessities like housing. I made 130k last year but still far from owning a place. Although I get raises every year, my paycheck remains similar if not less because of increasing taxes and living cost let alone weaker purchasing power due to inflation. I would not be happy for Sikhs to carry knives. They can carry a plastic model for religious purpose but to expect everyone to be ok for his religious belief is not ok. \nIn the UK, it's against law for anyone to carry knives in public, punishable by jail sentence and I want the law to be same for everyone.
