Time for us to do the same. UK has been doing deportation. Other European countries have been doing it. It's time to stop the issues surrounding national security and defence. Part of National defense is defending it's boarders. Trump is finally going to be a firm president that will defend his boarders. We don't have to fear this. We need to follow suit and do the same. This is a chance for us to work together to secure the boarders between us. We have refused to mand the boarder and actually more people cross the boarder to USA from Canada. So this is it. We refuse to deal with drugs, illegal immigrants and human trafficking. It's time to deal with it

Donald Trump is not going to deport any illegals. That was the selling strategy to get your vote. Donald Trump want illegals here he knows that America’s do not hold the economy. The economy is built off immigrants cause they will do it for cheap bettering the country bettering taxes and benefiting the country more Americans want too much for doing labor. He knows that illegal immigrants will do it for nothing notice how Trump always says we need to get the illegals out of here we want them to come in legally is because he knows that illegal immigrants benefit this country. He just wanted your vote?????

There could be a chance for more people. If we send everyone back and companies can request their workers back legally. Like the programs that already exist. There are other choices. What we don't want is people to just feel like they can come in with no consequences. There are illegals that have been here for 20+ years. That pay taxes as well. Which I feel need a chance. This subject is so broad... But I know Trump is a fair man. He will do the right thing

We don't need more immigrants

So how will Trump get the American citizens who are too lazy to work a labor job (like in Agriculture) actually work? If not then that industry will fail hence cost americans more money when we need to import food (and pay tariffs passed onto us)

You cannot have homeless Americans while illegal immigrants are being put up in hotels. \nThe real question is, does the USA need more unskilled people, whose primary contribution is manual labor? More and more jobs are going to be lost to AI/Robotics. Think of the scenario where you will have vast swathes of the population unemployed or underemployed. Is that desirable? Think of the chaos that will cause. More doctors and scientists are always welcome to immigrate anytime, and such folks all do so legally. \nThere are enough people already in America to do what needs to be done. We need to first build infrastructure using existing citizens to enable the next wave of immigrants (several years later) to move here. You just cannot have more and more people put more pressure on an already crumbling and ageing infrastructure, driving up rents for low-income Americans.

So we need more officers to carry luggage. How about we just build a freaking wall and turn them back.

I wish there could be more discussion about how understaffed everything has been since Covid It's a huge issue\nin my town and I have the impression it's pretty much everywhere.\nIt seems like we NEED people.....??? I am sick to death of media cherry picking facts they want to share. Oh poor immigrants. I am sorry, if this harsh but America can't fix the world and we aren't responsible for those from other countries. It really annoys me that all we hear is poor immigrants and immigrants rights. Sice Biden has taken office the housing crisis has gotten out of the control. Why? Simple math, you move in billions of people, equal population what you already have, but can't increase housing, they have to go somewhere. With the government helping migraints, more is going to them than our own. What is happening is they are pushing out people in migraint held cities and displacing existing residents. So those disbled , elderly, veterans and drug addicted people who are being displaced are being forced to smaller communities that don't have the infrastructure in place to cope with so many displaced people. Then you end up with a huge issue of Homeless people trying to live in Tents in the middle of winter. j You have a vast number of elderly women taking to van life because they can't afford to live any other way. Would you like to your Grandma living in Van, constantly on the go? YOu are being UNAmerican in your news reporting, when you fail to give fair reporting and do equal amount of investigating into who this actually affects amount the American people. Far as I am concerned you need to be shut down, because you are enemy of the US.

No wonder they voted for him…We need more empathy and compassion in this country.

How do people not understand that illegal Immigration is good for America. We need more immigrants. More people just means a bigger economy.

A few more tips for driving - 1. Outside of the large cities, cars almost always stop for pedestrians to cross the street, even if they aren't anywhere near a crosswalk. 2. So things cost more because there is a higer demand with less supplies and thats simply based on population. I voted Blue , but things like this is why Democrats lose the election. They need to be honest about the long term affects of illegal immigration. And to bring up the cost as if we aren't sending hundreds of billions of aid and resources to other countries that frankly we shouldn't be doing at the rate that we are anymore because the world has benn mooching from Americans and their citizens good will and charity for too long. So this can be paid for without adding any debt. Trump is an idiot but he and Republicans are right on these issues. Democrats seen to treat this issue with kid gloves. The center Democrats like Obama have to return. He deported more immigrants than any president in history, quietly. He didn't start a war or send troops but he dropped more bombs than you can imagine...Quietly. Democrats should have learned a valuable lesson. The world isn't just rainbows and flowers so we cant treat every issue that way

Like most of the media networks CNN has bitched and moaned, but never offerred any constructive criticism or plan for dealing with the problem.\nAll countries have border security and immigration laws.\nOur immigration laws ( responsibility of Congress) seem reasonable to me. I do think we need a better plan for dreamers.\nBorder security tho is a primary responsibility of the President. He is supposed to enforce our laws whether he likes them or not.\nThanks to Joe we have an additional 12 milliin more people here. One they criss iur border illegally, they are , by definition, criminals.\nBut they still need shelter , food, and medical care which we are paying for.\nWhat does CNN think should happen? What they should do is hit pause on immigration. I believe they should grandfather in those who arrived prior to a specified year.\n\nI’m sure the majority is ok with immigration. JUST DO IT LEGALLY and for the gov to stop over extending our taxes and money. \n\nAmerica should come first. Americans have been put on the back burner while illegal immigrants get way more help which in turn hurts the very people who were born and raised here. We got people and children starving in this very country yet have a helping hand for those who don’t live here, came illegally or even like us. \n\nSo put the pause on and help Americans then help others. Other countries have stricter policies than we do and they’re thriving. and I believe don’t have as many issues as we do. \n\nAmerica leaders need to look into how other successful countries are running things and see how they can implement or improve on those.

When she started with 'we need to take our country' back, I began to think she meant Mexican-Americans need to take back their country that was originally part of Mexico but was taken from them by the United States. eg Texas and other border states. Isn't that what the immigration north is all about? Taking back country? Of course the people who should really have the right to take back their country are the Indian Nations. They would be justified in deporting any families whose ancestors were illegal immigrants and did not get the equivalent of a green card from the original owners. I find it fascinating that descendants of illegal immigrants are so antagonistic to more recent illegal immigrants. 'We were illegal first! So we have the right to stop you illegals now!' ?

This woman has no idea how messed up our current immigration system is. The fact that she thinks her deported cousins could successfully reapply or that she said “I stood in line for hours and days to get my green card” just shows how out of touch she is. She thinks that Trump sees her as an equal when he doesn’t. He doesn’t care about the difference between “illegal” or “legal” immigrants… he said non white immigrants are “poisoning the blood of America.” \nAnd as a Mexican born immigrant, she should never forget that the only thing protecting her is a green card, which can be revoked at any time. She is selfish and deluded. I am a daughter of a Taiwanese immigrant who watches Fox News every night and it drives me crazy. Y’all are no better than any illegal immigrant. We need more of them to sustain our low birth rate. Immigrants are awesome and there’s absolutely no good reason to inhumanely and violently deport immigrants. I have heard stories from friends of how inhumane the ICE detention centers are. They treat you like animals, worse than they treat US citizens who are murderers.

INDIA'S 1.4 Billion population problem shouldn't be the burden for other countries to bear. They need a no-child policy!! We don't need more hospitality/hotel mgmt workers...we have better qualified citizens here to do all jobs.

What we need is better paying jobs with benefits. Corporations flow of money must be followed, how much is leaving the country. I do believe in immigration. Canada was built on immigrants and they are a huge part of Canadas identity. THat being said we need to have proper housing and infrastructure for the people we take in. To bring people into the country when we don't have jobs, housing, and overload the health care and other facilities is just bad decision making. I am against closing the doors forever but when we have room for more then we take more until that time we will have to reduce or shutdown the immigration flow.

We need to take care of our country. Not invite foreigners to fix it for us. Also why doesnt quebec take more immigrants we get 400,000 a year but quebec only took in 47,000 last year and ontario got close to 200,000

2:20 bringing in the 3rd world is NOT the solution to our aging demographic problem. We need to encourage young Canadians to have more children by offering affordable housing, lower taxes and higher paycheques. The process is not the same as it was in the 80s when they did not require renewal every couple yrs w high $ and rules to return to home country for a set amount of time risking losing your home/job/business etc. Some renewal process for green cards have sped up but still takes 6-1yr and a new green card renewal and new one for Mexico can take 1-3yrs for approval. So someone that’s been here +20yrs will have to leave everything they have built here to go wait quite a long time. Its not if you agree how they got here, its what they have done in our country since being here. They add to our economy, +80% pay taxes to never get any of those benefits and they open businesses employing people etc. If they have been here committing a list of crimes then no i don’t agree but majority of immigrants don’t do that. I agree our border needs protection and security. Majority of the left do agree w that but gop don’t want solutions they want to just shut it down completely and thats not right. We have always been a country of opportunity and growth for everybody. If we had a good border bill that they could all agree on fe border act was bipartisan til Trump didnt want to “give dems a win” which it would have given more $ for more judges to help speed up the process for asylum cases and put more agents on the border and more security at checkpoints which is where most fentanyl is caught. But there are alot of things that could be helped and sped up if we just had politicians that could agree, you have bipartisans that support then you have the handful like trump is the puppet master that shuts good things down for partisanship reasons. Why do people say she choose Trump over family?? She just wants everyone to follow the law like she did.. also remember the USA was a much different place 20+ years ago, the amount of terrorist, criminal and trafficker has more than 100% increased, times are different and we need a secure border and allow good law abiding citizens to come in.

Canada relies on immigration for pretty much everything 1) colleges make money 2) landlords make money 3 ) government makes money from more taxes 4) banks make money from more mortgage applications 5) realtors make money . And they know majority of international students goal is to later. Buy a house Punjabi people own more real estate then most people in Canada combined. Canada government just uses the taxes the more people\nCome the more taxes people\nPay . Don’t forget Canada was not a white man land it belongs to the indigenous people . We are all immigrants from somewhere people get scared of what they don’t understand. Every community has their far share of bad apples. As I agree we do need to have a a tighter immigration system it’s not good when there are to many people\nComing from the same country . And the things the new comers do just make the community look bad People that came to Canada -30 years ago have gotten respect know all that went down the drain .?‍♀️

I honestly don’t mind these numbers of immigrants as a Canadian, but we need more housing by a lot and we need a better distribution. There 200+ countries, why is any one of them making up 32% up new canadians!

It makes no sense to go back more than 10 years. Start with those that have felonies, or don’t have a history of working. Work from the present, and go back. Give those that have learned English an easier pathway, but all who have a history of being law-abiding and productive get a pathway to citizenship. It should be difficult, but possible. \nThose that are not law-abiding or productive get sent back. We don’t need more welfare slaves or recidivists. We have plenty. \nOnly full citizens have the privilege of voting. It is NOT a right.

The visa process needs to be more strict. Being granted an International Student Visa should levy a higher threshold for long-term stay requirements after school. Also, the total years need to become a Citizen should be moved to 8 years, not 5. We need to uphold the integrity of what it means to be a Canadian, not allow and Tom Dick and Harry a Visa or PR just because they spend money here (Canada).

Trudeau says we need more people in health care, but we aren't bringing in the right people to fill those gaps. We are bringing in uneducated people to fill fast food jobs. That's not going to make Canada a strong economically stable country. Instead of pandering to the businesses that want to stay open 7 days a week and need these low level employees, it would be preferable to return to a system where everything isn't open 24/7 requiring all of these low level positions ti be filled.
