I'm so embarrassed to be American. I'm angry at the millions who were dumb enough to vote even one time for a FOOLISH con man who's compromised by Russia and can't even read. I'm extremely proud of Canada and Trudeau. I hope somehow the president of the US and his echo chamber are removed from office. We'll never make it 4 years.

Canada's mistake was listening to the US the first time. The US doesnt do enough to protect its people from drugs smuggled north and yet it blames its neighbors non-stop.

37T in US debt. We’ve been unfairly treated the past 60 years from unfair trades from the world and Trump was the only President to say “enough”. What’s fair when US pays tariffs on goods but we can’t charge other countries. Let’s make trades fair. No more charities to the world paid for by US taxpayers.

Presumably the whole point of tariffs on Canada is to raise revenues to cover the tax cuts for the oligarchs that he hopes will keep his or his family permanently in power. From that point of view it makes sense to put the tariffs on the biggest trade partners. The tax breaks the oligarchs get will allow them to buy up and control the media on his behalf. Nothing to do with fentanyl. That's just a lie that US citizens are stupid enough to swallow.

I am fearful for what Trump wants to do here. We should never be provoking our border countries. Seems like an act of war. Also, guaranteed we need to work on addiction issues in our own country. Fentanyl doesn’t just come from borders. And I am sure Canada hasn’t enough crossing from their borders that is hurting us! F T rump!

I can already hear Trump’s read to the media. Canada has not done enough on the final on fentanyl they haven’t done enough. I told them they had to do XYNZ and they haven’t done enough. I appreciate the approach from PM Trudeau and can feel his regret for having to do this. As americans we have to fight against our own leaders meanwhile their job description is to be in service of their constituents. How hard is it to make sure everyone has enough and no one too much or too little?

Canada and America should work together. Trudeau is the only one talking about a trade war. Think about that... Trump imposed reciprocal tariffs on many countries who later came to the Whitehouse and invested billions to bring business here. Canada has enjoyed the American gravy train for long enough. Just look at the comparison between how much money goes into Canada and how much of that America actually sees a return on.

Every single country has huge tariffs against our country. All Trump wants is for them to pay us the same we pay them. Why any taxpayer would be upset is against it is beyond me. Course Trudeau just said he was going to sacrifice his citizens in a forever war that is already lost. Thank God Trump will protect our citizens and just wants a even playing field. Some are rich enough that they wouldn't be affected by a recession. As if world events weren't already volatile enough.

The world is going to make Trump a 2nd class leader. Every country that stands for democracy shouldn’t let Trump fly into their airspace, or let him come to your country. The countries that have laws that don’t let felons into their countries should apply these laws to Trump, you need to show Trump that enough is enough, and you will not bend to his mafia style of governing. If he our you need to communicate it should be done over a secure video communication, and record it in case Trump threatens you, your country, or if he just goes off the rails in general. If he does threaten you, or your country, or goes off the rails you need to broadcast it to the world. There is strength in numbers, and if the US politicians won’t stand up to Trump, then the rest of the world needs to do so.
