Nice to see that Canada is still a great smart country we are all happy to be friends with; what really worries us is the country below Canada, since it is run by a crazy old man and his cult of bigotry, ignorance, lies, autocracy and pseudoscience. What have you done? You liberated us from the Nazis in WWII just to vote for their American counterpart less than one century later. I am very sorry for all the good guys who lost their lives only to bring Mr Trump to the White House.

I am not sure where the issue is. so, what happens when Tariff is raised the US people and importers are who will pay. So, if they need to buy they will pay. This doesn't make US reacher. Only lower sales by Canada, but if it's required goods then they will pay.

So the US didn’t even tell the truth on top of this tariff. Are we surprised? Trump said these previous agreements between Mexico & Canada were unfair to US, like we were getting screwed by these countries.

Trudeau is serving the final moments of his last term, but his approval ratings shot up since the Trump presidency started. Trump genuinely such a crappy leader than other leaders with approval ratings in the dirt are gaining support for going against him. As an American, it’s damn amazing. I hope the next PM of Canada keeps up the same energy and doesn’t concede to the US. Things won’t get better until the world sticks it to us, because the world turning their backs on us is the only thing that’ll get through the thick skulls of anyone who still supports Trump.

As an American, Canada I’m so sorry. To the rest of the world please please hear me. Trump supporters are the minority here, most of us are actively fighting against this. The more I read the comments of different news articles, the more I realize that we as a world, and a species, want to be united as friends, hand in hand but our leaders are trying to keep us divided. So can someone clarify for me something, the US is puttint tarrifs against 3 seperate nations about 25% each and then the nations are in turn implementing tarrifts on the US about 25% each, so in total about 75%, how does trump think this is a good idea, each nations that we have tarrifs on only have a fraction of the total tarrifs we will feel, or am I wrong for adding the tarrifs from china mex and canada ??

This is NOT about fentanyl. This NOT about money and how much each country was giving whom. We had a respectable trade deal that we were following, previously signed by Trump. We have always had a positive relationship together, business-wise and friendship-wise. Please also realize that, once your administration is no longer in control of our narratives in such a destructive manner, or it gets replaced by one that reverses this destructive policy, we will definitely reconsider our former relationship and we will work towards rebuilding it. \n\nIt is unfortunate for both sides here. We are aware of that. But “Canada Strong” is our way to remain forever a sovereign and free nation. Nothing more, nothing less. Always remember that.

For all the American's siding with Canada. Did you know Canada has never fulfilled its obligation to Nato. they only pay 1% of its gdp. They are supposed to pat 2%. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. No taxes owed by Apple international . Apple USA sells it in US for $700. Bought it for $700 = no taxes owed. BUT APPLE CLEARED $400 CASH. \nThat's with no tariffs. Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.

More than 800 lbs of fentanyl was seized by the CBSA crossing from the US into Canada last year and how about the illegal guns you keep smuggling into Canada?\n\nIf Canada has to do the job of your border agents, shouldn't the US need to do the job of ours? When smugglers are entering the US, it's US border agents, not Canadian or American that those smugglers meet. When crossing from the US to Canada, it's CBSA agents they meet, not US. So maybe we need to reverse that, or combine border agencies and work together??? Nah, that wouldn't work for tRump, because after all, it isn't about Fentanyl at all.

Let's see, make peace at reasonable cost with a man who's war with Ukraine showed the world that they cannot last in war with US on a military vs military bases; and the only option against the US is a nuclear, while Zelenskyy want's to use US as a deterrent against Putin, all while asking the US for billions. On the other hand, Canada, Mexico and Panama are being over ran by chinese businesses. People think this is against Canadians, Mexicans and Panamanians, but these tariffs are against chinese who are manufacturing in these countries and bypassing tariffs already in place by the US. The chinese are manufacturing in Canada and Mexico and placing (made in Canada/Mexico) and shipping those items to the US, while Canada and Mexico do nothing.

From UK. 95% of people I know stand with Canada and expect our own government to do as much as they can to help. Many individuals are already refusing to buy US goods and services and have cancelled holidays to the USA. No more Florida, Las Vegas or even California.
