Nice candid video Tyler. I have a good friend (a Jusey Gurl) who moved to Canada like 20ish years ago I think mainly because of an ex. I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. You folks generally have a bigger love of freedom and you're ARMED. You have the mindset and the LEVERAGE to change the system. And we as Canadians are always looking and following the US why to the extent because things are a little different here I don't know... I await with hopeful yet bated breath with the big changes coming in the following years. Love, freedom and the pursuit of happiness good neighbors eh!

I have a good friend who spent a good many years living and working in the US. He summed it up as being very similar in many ways, with some frustrating drawbacks, but overall it was far better in many ways. Don't beat yourself up. We might have a few things going for us, but those who have the will and determination to pull their weight have a far better shot in the US. \n\nRemember that. Americans get out of America what they put into it. Canadians get what they get out of Canada no matter what. If you like the feeling of the reward of hard work and perseverance, you're only limited in America by your own ambition. If you like the comfort and safety of a network of social systems, then Canada is the place to be. On the flip side, if you want to have the peace of mind that the government will take care of you if you can't take care of yourself, then don't go to the US. If you're ambitious and creative and want to work hard at making something of yourself, Canada will crush your hopes and dreams like a bug.

This makes me sad. I'm American and visited here as a kid and loved it. Loved Toronto more than New York City. I loved how multicultural it was and how you could hear so many languages in Younge Square. It was super clean and safe. I hope things can change.

Until you experience the horrors they have gone through don’t throw stones in glass houses the immigration system has been broken for years if people waited until it’s their time no one would realistically get through since there is a 20 year backlog and children who were brought here 20 years ago have been thrown out because they themselves were still not approved a decade or more later. Part of the issue is red state lax gun laws allowing cartels easy access to heavy machinery that can be taken back across the border. Do you really think corruption isn’t running all the way to the top and that the American government has not helped worsen the issues when any of these countries want control of their own fossil fuel. Consider how many rich people get to jump in line or border patrol on both sides being able to keep out legal crossings if you can’t pay their fees. If you fight the cartel military or government you will find yourself dead imprisoned and or tortured and if they are fleeing to save their family and willing to leave their whole life behind to go to a country whose language they don’t speak do you really think they can walk all the way to the border wait in a single file line hope they can request asylum and then wait 40 years to maybe get a call back for a hearing these ppl are forced into a rock and a hard place and for the majority of American politics most politicians have no interest on really figuring out a comprehensive and compassionate system to help get immigrants out of dangerous situations America barely cares about it’s homeless citizens veterans mentally or physically Ill every country is having serious issues because often leaders are really only looking out for themselves

As a second generation Nigerian immigrant (parents were born in Nigeria and I was born in the US). I 100% agree w/ his perspective. I’ve spent consider amount of time in Nigeria w/ my side of the family that’s doing well and the other side that aren’t. Aboard should only be for people who have no opportunity back home as in they have tried everything and nothing worked for them. If you are doing well in Nigeria, try and give birth to your kids in the US so they can retrieve citizenship. There is no reason a successful person back home should sell their things and move aboard even for kids as you can send them aboard to receive an education and help them gain citizenship and from their they can file for you. The amount of systemic racism, odd jobs you will have to work (God forbid you don’t have a degree and you move aboard for non degree purposes that’s when aboard will show you pepper), cost of surviving is expense here especially now as inflation is high. It’s just not benefiting especially if you were better off in Nigeria. However, this shouldn’t stop you from coming just know that the road isn’t easy and some places are worse than others. I’ve never been to Canada but have been to the UK and by far would advice anyone from back home to avoid UK at all cost. Not even sure how Nigerians are even making it there lol (it’s a never ending cycle of poverty plus citizenship is very difficult to gain and the discrimination in my opinion is much worse than the US. UK society has a class system and it only really empowers British people. The UK is so bad that they even discriminate against Eastern Europeans that should let you know a lot.) Also why do you think most Brits Nigerians come back to Naija hoping to secure job compared to American Nigerians and let me tell you it’s not because the UK is close to Nigeria, there is a true lack of opportunity. There are more opportunity in the US and possibly Canada compared to the Europe.

You've missed the elephant in the room. Due to the open US/Mexico border and flooding of illegal migrants, the illegal migrants hurt those who've gone through the system legally and have essentially cut in line. If you flood the economy with migrants (both legal and illegal), most who are considered low skill, due to the aforementioned border crisis, it'll drive the wages of Americans down to unlivable levels and cause those who are in the immigration system to continuously be in the perpetual waiting system. By failure to mention this big topic issue, you have done a disservice to this video and have missed key points, rendering this video as incomplete and false. The problem here is everybody is blaming these poor people that want to come over for a better life and opportunity to get away from a corrupt government that has them in poverty, with no hope of prospering! But we look at it in this country as troublemakers coming across the border and that’s not the case not to say that there’s not people that won’t make for trouble who are in that crowd but overall just good, hard-working people who are getting ready to probably be treated very poorly once they get here And if that’s not enough, but you can never fault someone for picking up a job. Aside from what was said (making more money), other reasons why many immigrants would fight tooth and nail to get U.S. citizenship are the fact that the U.S. has a bigger and wealthier population, which translates to American companies getting more investment money. And in turn, are alot more willing to invest more of that money into their employers. Other underlying reasons include an overall warmer climate, rich pay less taxes, and the fact that an immigrant finally obtaining U.S. citizenship is considered a status symbol. \n\nAnd there are other reasons why Canada government is far more immigrant friendly. The government wants to increase their country's population to at least 100 million, and that isn't possible with Canada being one of the numerous countries experiencing a decline in baby's being born. And the new immigrants are to hopefully prevent the time in the future when Canada has too many old people, but not enough caretakers and young people to tax.

This is not about race or immigration. This is a result of corporate greed and poor hungry people that want a chance at life. In the US there’s a housing crisis, landlords bankrupting hard working people, grocery stores raising prices, gas prices sky rocketing, all for what? MONEY, corporate greed, no regulations on basic necessities that everyone needs to live. All those people recently stealing in LA, it’s just begun… In school I was taught about the Great Depression.. THIS, right now is the United States greatest economic crisis. We are living in it right now… I hope everyone can find safety and security. My husband and I moved to Iowa for a better shot, we’re Americans and have struggle our who lives as working class citizens.

Maybe it's just because of the news, but really, the school shootings are TOP of mind for me. This video is a joke with an agenda. If America let in people as easily as Canada did and in the same proportion to its population could it not end up having the same housing crisis? Besides that, the video pretends Canada is this amazingly superior place when it comes to immigration when the left wing government wants to bring people in in the hopes that they will mainly vote liberal. In America in the 2020 election which way certain states went (such as Pennsylvania) came down to immigration. People have done studies and found if they threw citizenship at certain people they'd be voting around 70% Democrat. Where the government sets these people up also determines election outcomes. I don't want to live in a country where the government values immigrants for voting purposes more than the native population. That is a subversion of democracy. Imagine being born in America and living there your entire life. There are politicians that feel no obligation to change your mind and win your vote. I really hope you read these comments Tyler. You are so blinded by the American propaganda machine and I really suggest you at least do some travelling out of country for a prolonged period of time to see how the rest of the world really is. I hope some of these harsher comments at least open your eyes. I am born and raised Canadian who used to spend about a month a year in the states and now I can’t say I’ll go back. The gun violence just in the last few years is sickening. Having bad places to live doesn’t apply to the US anymore, everywhere is bad to live and it’s only a matter of time before the reality comes to YOUR small town. Usually I really like your videos but this one hits a little too hard on how everyone in America has been brainwashed into thinking their normal is ‘great’. Being a bit desensitized is a complete understatement. The saddest part is I think it’s too late for the US now.

The thing about the job health insurance that a lot of Americans don't really think of as a business case: If a person has their insurance tied to their job, they will almost never be able to move to another one if they develop a life-threatening condition. Even with diminished bars of entry due to pre-existing conditions, your health insurance can be denied if you transition to another company. If you are denied, your best healthcare options are then tied to your income, and that means you basically have to be unemployed and living on social entitlements. \n\nThe thing is, this locks you into your position, and you are literally at the mercy of the company which means you're only going to be doing the minimum amount of work necessary to not get fired. If you have a socialized/universal single-payer healthcare plan, your job is no longer a limiting factor, you can switch employers basically at-will. The boon for businesses is that people will be more able to move rather than have to get you to do a dance with your insurance company. \n\nThe other thing for me is that having been in the US, I felt less safe in blue states than I did in Canada, and I felt worse in red states. The USA is a beautiful country, but it's a STRANGE society. One thing I can say is the USA tends to get bright fast once they catch on to how big a problem actually is, so here's to hoping that happens soon because brother, you have a mess of problems on your plate. \n\nThis isn't the only thing, but FWIW, I have had multiple opportunities to move to the US for work, and I work in a field where I can command a very good salary, but I choose to not live there. I'd move to Belize, or a Nordic EU country instead.

I as a British born, and now Canadian, really admire you for doing this. It was interesting to me that you said, gun violence in schools isn’t something that you think about. To your point about choosing where exactly in the US you live - I grew up for 26 years near Toronto but have lived in the US for the last 20 (husband is American). We live in a bubble of like-minded and similar people, and there are very few places in the US we could tolerate. Also, DO NOT underestimate the effects of school shootings on families. I have kids and I'm a teacher. It's on my mind EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm kind of hoping my kids decide to go to university in Canada. Finally, don't forget that for good health insurance, you are paying a premium just for the coverage, and then on top of that if anything happens you are paying hundreds/thousands of dollars for the services!

I’m a duel citizen but I was born and raised in Canada and I would say I have more of a Canadian mindset. There are many things that I like about the States even though I wouldn’t move there. A lot of Canadians like to go shopping and for vacation. I hope to one day explore the North West coast of the States. I know there is a lot of awesome nature. I was hoping that Canada would be a safe haven for Black people. I thought that Canada was genuinely liberal in a way that nowhere in the United States is. There is the image of Canadians as low key, down to Earth, inoffensive, unimposing, friendly, helpful. I guess that was just a myth. Canadians don't like Americans coming up there for work and, Black Americans are also Americans.

As a person with Mexican heritage and born as an American, I feel that having secure borders is critical to Americans survival, it’s very difficult to differentiate those who want a better life to those that have bad intentions. Nobody knows what they have gone through to get to the USA. WITH THE DREAM OF A BETTER LIFE just like all Americans ancestors did. But yet nobody told them that the USA is broken as a society once more. My heart goes out to all that are in this situation. Just hope that we never find ourselves in their situation one day.

I hope everyone knows and is smart enough to “connect the dots” and concludes that these mass exodus or caravans are being funded by Trump and his traitor allies to create pandemonium and fear amongst Americans and to exhibit and make the Democrats and Biden weak!! Need more jobs, lesser rent/lower inflation/removal of businesses not following labor laws/proper housing/homeless housing and job directories. I dont think keeping out immigrants will really improve anything, America has always been a melting pot of sorts and was ultimately built by immigrants and still relies on their affordability of labor cost. Americans are racist and afraid that theyll be knocked off the ladder by someone that will probably outwork them, then unable to afford homing, and unable to find a job themselves. They dont want to be in Mexicos shoes, Venezuela specifically, as shown here. US population has been around 54% working; while 76% from Mexico. A wall wasnt going to fix the situation, never was -- it was a bit silly dont you think? There shouldve been more put into expanding border patrol, they obviously handle it better. And claiming aslyum has backfired: theyre over-full, lack funding, and no one can remove them because it has become a neccesarity now.\nI dont think they should be denied a potentially better way of life but this wasnt as much an option as they had hoped it be.

We had a President that was against this, that wanted a wall. Now, we’re giving free housing, food, phones, healthcare, paid job training and even higher education, and the list goes on! I’m not sharing my opinion on social; however, I am stating a fact. I’m not going to comment on what I think would happen if just one or two families left this group and went down the road a few miles and found another way in. I’m not saying that’s right, but say it’s what happened… they’d get the above. I also see many comments here saying these people should fight for their country and try to make it right… well, I don’t see Americans standing up to our government and doing what is right. Look at what is happening to our own country right now! We are about to have no religious freedoms, and no democracy anymore, all because we aren’t using our own voice. One world government and one world religion. That’s what we’re headed for. Oh, and a cashless society, all while we are being monitored the entire time. I hope this is what you want.
