Canada is really still not that bad of a place to live. I am 38 years old suffer with epilepsy own my own house, I am married. My job is Medicore paying and very hard work. Me and my wife have plenty of disposable income at the end of the month to do what we want with or save it. A lot of people need to learn how to budget money. Stay away from credit cards, personal loans , expensive cars basically useless shit. Yes canada is expensive but there ways around it. Example stop living in expensive cities. Find skill sets around your job if you want extra money trust me there many of them. I make more money just on my hobbies then I do working, guess what tax free. Health care not the best but it is still really not that bad yet. Point being if I can handle Canada you can to trust me I am nobody special. I just live within my means and have hustles on the side with just high school education.

Funny how Canada is being criticized by the same problems. High taxes, very expensive (or non-existent) housing and salaries not very good. Well... maybe that´s why they need more people too. Canada is bringing 500k people annually, but right now we don´t really have jobs nor housing for them, and lots of Canadians are unemployed. And people want to see less immigration as well.

Somehow Poland accepted Ukrainian refugees with open arms. And why yes, some commit crimes and behave in unbecoming ways but vast majority learned to speak polish,work polish jobs and uphold cultural and social norms. Having lived in migrant-rich places in UK and Scandinavia, this is simply not the case with migrants from Islamic countries. Their culture, heavily influenced by religion, doesn't have the same values, promotes seclusion from unbelievers and using unbeliever's resources at will because they see non-muslims as beneath them.There are Muslim women in Sweden who are there for 20+ years and speak NONE of the language. The epidemic of sexual abuse , property crime and gang violence, the statistics about learning the language, culture, statistics about employment, even personal interviews are good enough proof that majority of these migrants aren't willing to uphold our rules, our culture and are NOT going to be suitable citizens of Europe. Why should we be paying for people who gleefully admit to not wanting to work and feeling entitled to social benefits? Only France and UK were colonial empires, the rest of Europe had NOTHING to do with the state of Middle East.\nWe sympathise with people wanting to escape from religious fundamentalism, from fear of retribution for their identity and there are separate programmes for them. However we have every right not to want Islam and it's rules and it's fanatics anywhere close - religion is a remnant of the middle age and religious fundamentalism, be it Christian of Muslim is nothing more than an excuse to be hateful and bigoted. Europe has worked hard to free itself from that kind of mentality, to have majority of people who genuinely believe in things like gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, disabled rights, right to healthcare, equality under law and so on - vast majority of which are not compatible with what vast majority of practicing Muslims believe. They don't like us, they don't like the way we behave and dress, they don't want to live like us and follow the same rules- why are they here if not for the resources? If they were there for human rights issues, they wouldn't be bringing the opressive faith that is the source of the human rights violations in their homeland.

Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it! I left Canada in the late 1990s. I moved back in 2018 (more than 20 years abroad)... and I've regretted it every day since. I do NOT hate Canada at all. Like you said, it is a great place to live, but... once you see how other people live in other parts of the world you see what's missing in Canada. It's the basics.. access to medical care... education... and so on. It used to be amazing in Canada, now it's broken ? My wife and I talk about relocating back overseas all the time. Moving abroad with kids is hard, but we will eventually do it once all the bits line up :-)

Canadians like to make fun of the USA a lot but deep down, a lot of people are looking south right now for better economic opportunities than what we have here. Pretty much any U.S. city will offer more jobs that pay better, with higher mobility, better weather and much lower taxes.

3rd generation here, I can retire next year as long as I leave Canada. If I remain, I will work until dead because it is so very expensive and getting more so under the cult of climate change. It pains me to witness what our governments have allowed to happen in our communities. Drug abuse is rampant, mental health is staggering, youth are medicated, gender confused and climate terrified. A homeless shelter for drug addicts is being built less than a 4 minute walk from my home which is in a seniors park....we will all be victimized by theft and vandalism. We are also divided thanks to trudeau who has labelled and categorized us so deeply he ran elections based on divisions. We are no longer the kind polite people we once were. Churches burning epitomizes the moral or lack of moral ground we live and act upon. So I am moving next year to central America, Panama most likely...I can afford to retire there, never need to heat my home nor worry trudeau is going to ban my furnace and my car. It saddens me to no end for I have grandchildren, 5 generations, of investment in this country.

Hi Alina, yes I think most people must been kept in so much suspense and perhaps many like me must have move forward hoping the answer is there somewhere towards the end of your video. I perfectly understand what you say about Canada. I think it is largely due to really poor and incompetent leadership and to some extent, a lack of independence to do what is best for Canada instead of another country. Whichever country you choose, I wish you all the very best for a happy and more fulfilled future. It happens to so many people from all over the world to want to move to another country. Nothing wrong with that. It's in our human nature to always wander / wonder about. It's the same desire that has got MAN to where we are now. Flying to the moon. Exploring the outer reaches of the universe. And many other things - big and small - in between, like the internet, Youtube, Airplanes and Jets ,Facebook and Smartphones.... I wish this lady all the luck. In a lot of ways I envy her. I dream of seeing many many places (although I have done a significant amount of travelling also). She has actually done much more because she followed her heart whilst not losing her head.

A human or a society connects because of communication and Language is the foundation, Germany has to focus more on English jobs. Gradulally all other problem would be solved. When we talk about Migants obvisuly I am talking about skilled workers. But keep in mind people above 35 years old would not focus on learning language.

We don't need any more people here, unless those people are highly skilled professionals in high demand - like doctors. The majority of people here are struggling, housing is unaffordable and in short supply, our health care system is a complete joke, inflation is out of control in parity to wage increases, and the liberal administration is incompetent, corrupt and wasteful.

I mean, you come to a country and you have to adjust and learn the language. Pretty straightforward, and most of us are doing it.\n\nBut when on the other side you have people who do not understand the effort and have no patience for it, it is a frustrating experience. It is also annoying that you know they need you here, they know they need you, but none of that is reflected in the way people coming in are treated.\n\nA lot of us also come with skills and accomplishments behind us. And then we need to play fish-out-of-water for a while, speak a language in which we know we sound incompetent and we can see someone underestimating us (because they lack the understanding of what our situation brings). And last but not least, a serious problem with patience and empathy.\n\nThese are all issues you will find in other countries too. But man, Germans are not good at dealing with it. And more and more it seems to me they do not even care (other than the few german friends I have, who always make me second guess my generalisation).

Germany is simply not worth the struggle you have to go through to do anything here. I wonder how soon it will be the situation where we will have to fill a from to even buy groceries. If people move here for the free education, get it and if you like how things are here then stay(no one can make you understand your worth) otherwise get the education get whatever you can and leave wherever you get the best opportunity. \nAt the end of the day you don't have to feel anything towards Germany or their problems with population or lack of skilled immigrants or anything.\nDo the best for you, health is more important than anything (mental health).\nI simply don't think the mental stress to navigate everything here which is exponentially fueled by the language terrorism they bring to the table is noooot at all worth it.

I came to Berlin, Germany ?? from India with my family in 2021 on EU Blue card. I work here as a Software Engineer and last month I got my PR. Below are my observations \n1) Not expat friendly at all - Most of Govt departments doesn’t want to speak English at all making us feel we are useless. Esp at initial level it is next to impossible \n2) Taxes are too high I have lots of friends in Netherlands in HSM visa and they have 30 percent off in total salary meaning taxes are charged on remaining 70 percent.\n3) Difficult to buy home in Germany ?? whereas in Netherlands it is super easy and banks easily give 100 percent mortgage. Many friends of mine took their own house on the very first year and their emi is almost equivalent to the rent.\n4) Openess to English is still an issue if Germany ?? needs more skilled workers which I feel they desperately need it they would need to be more open towards English which is a common linked language.\n5) People are not at all friendly and avoid small talks.

Because the average Canadian cannot afford to pay their bills. How can we afford to support more and more people from elsewhere? Do we provide services for people from somewhere else or Canadians who live here?

Borders exist for a reason. It’s not fair to citizens of ANY country to dump hoards of unknown, unvetted people onto us and our cities AND expect us to support, educate, provide healthcare and pay for them. People from poor countries think westerners and Europeans are all rich. In our societies we work extremely hard and sacrifice our entire lives to have a good future and healthcare if we need it. We pay a lot of tax to have safe cities and towns. When you dump thousands and millions of people into our countries we all sacrifice even more and cannot access housing, healthcare or social programs because they are overwhelmed helping illegals. That is not fair to citizens of any nation. The real difference would be teaching poorer war torn countries how to build fair societies. How to build an economy. How to develop a democracy. How to root out government corruption. How to be tolerant of other religions. How to take care of your own citizens!!

As someone who was born and raised in the Middle East and identifies as an atheist, I have a deep understanding of the motivations and mindsets of people from the region who choose to migrate to Europe. In the 1970s and 1980s, many who fled to Europe were doing so for genuine political reasons. They were escaping oppressive regimes, whether Islamic or dictatorial, often because their beliefs as non-Muslims, socialists, or leftists put them in danger.\n\nHowever, since the 2000s, the motivations for migration have shifted. Today, many people from the region come to Europe not primarily in search of safety or to embrace a European way of life, but rather to take advantage of the social benefits that European countries offer. Unfortunately, many of these individuals support the same Islamic regimes or ideologies that people fled from in the past.\n\nIntegration into European society is often challenging, particularly when there is little incentive to learn the local language or culture. For some, the focus is on increasing family size to maximize the financial benefits provided by the state. This explains why it's common to see families with six to nine children in these communities. The goal for many is not to seek safety or assimilate into European society, but to live comfortably on the benefits available in countries like Germany and Sweden.\n\nTo address this issue, I believe Europe needs to reconsider its approach to handling migration. One potential solution could be to build safe cities in North Africa, where people can find refuge and work without necessarily relocating to Europe. This would provide a secure environment and opportunities for those in need, without overburdening European countries. The focus should be on creating conditions where people migrate for genuine safety and the chance to contribute to society, rather than primarily for the financial benefits.\n\nIf people are allowed to choose where they want to live, they will naturally demand the best possible conditions and benefits. However, if authorities take the lead in deciding where migrants should be relocated, it would likely reduce the risks associated with illegal immigration. By guiding people to safe and sustainable locations rather than letting them dictate their destination, we could decrease the incentives for dangerous and unauthorized migration routes. This approach would help manage resources more effectively and ensure that migration serves both the needs of those seeking refuge and the capacity of host countries.

On one hand, the declining brith rate means we need immigration if we don't want the economy to crumble. On the other hand, there really isn't any available houses right now and bringing more people sounds like a bad idea at the moment.

I'm a live in the US and I'm a legal immigrant but I too recognize that we are accepting people in that we don't need. We ought to let more doctors and nurses in because we have a healthcare shortage right now that's hurting everyone.

The Liberal Government insisting that we continue letting more people in, despite the negative impact this is having, is even more telling that they have an agenda and need to be voted out.

That first comment saying we don’t need a million more Ubers drivers and Tim Hortons workers doesn’t come across very well. Lots of people coming here are highly educated. \nOn the other hand. Tims hires immigrants because the typical “Canadian” minimum wage worker doesn’t show up to shifts, are late frequently, or have poor work ethics. Immigrants are reliable because they don’t have a plan b or anyone to fall back on if they don’t have money coming in.

This is great Canada. I'm so happy you are finally stopping the influx of usage to the Canadian citizens. These people coming into our countries must fight in their own countries to fix their own problems instead of using us all. The world is now over populated. We don't need more polluting, drawing, destroying, and over breeding.

I wished to move to Canada 12 years ago. I am American. I was told that I needed a job and that job NEEDED to be filled. This would allow me to move there. I didn't move. Now with the migration crisis, too many immigrants at one time will overload the system and overpopulate a country. I fear with the climate crisis constantly reshaping our futures, that immigration will be an ongoing problem for the entire world. I believe countries must plan for even more immigration waves due to climate change. The Earth is changing...people will be moving to save their lives, to have a future. As human beings we must adapt to these pressures and changes in our planet. Make it livable, or else face the consequences of seeing millions of people die because you were unwilling to open your borders. There is room, just get rid of the greed. This planet , its peoples,must find ways to live together. Education, to keep the planet healthy, stop overpopulation, keep the air and water clean...stop the greed are the goals we must strive to follow.

I believe the government should take a more proactive approach to managing the number of people admitted into Canada, ensuring a balanced and equitable distribution. It's important to avoid scenarios where larger groups overshadow smaller ones, which could lead to future challenges. Additionally, we should aim to prevent issues similar to the riots currently happening in the UK.

We simply do not have the infrastructure, living space, or economy for more people so rapidly. It's that simple. We are okay with whatever culture or creed (at large, anyways), but we need more time to accommodate new people. We are not a land of milk and honey.

Hi Abhu n Niku,\n\nI always love your fact based information. I wish you did more of surveys or interviews of Indian immigrants in Canada. Ideally different people from different states in India have different experiences in Canada. Plus previous qualifications, some students here do not even get up and go to college or university to attend lectures and we blame Canada for not giving them jobs. Blame Indian movies that show 2 extremely opposite sides of lifestyles of immigrants in Canada. Either as high profile business people as if they own the country or as poor labourers with 2 or more sharing a common room in a basement. Improve the perspective of people by improving the quality of movies based on immigration to western countries. You can find students who got job, car and house in Canada in 5 years and you can also see students who unfortunately couldn’t do so much. We cannot generalize things.

Immigration has gone too far and our government needs to put a pause on it. We need to drastically improve the quality of life of Canadians before we drag more random people here to do what? Be exploited by landlords and be jobless?

Immigration will always be a problem. As soon human realize the world was suppose to borderless and we create a system that we can function harmoniously in a borderless society maybe then we can begin to tackle this system that divides us humans. We will begin to use the word people / human beings more often instead of immigrants .

And while there are certainly main contributors, one cannot simply ignore the area of supply and demand. Too many people looking for too few locations to live. It doesn't get more basic than that.\n\nThe PROBLEM is our economic growth numbers are DEPENDANT on immigration, and if we just cut immigration the numbers will plummet and foreign investment will tank. It is not the immigration policy problem.. It is the quality of people who are being considered for immigration (based only money now a days unlike in the past). In the 70s & 80s it is Ph.Ds, Highly technically qualified people around the world who were given Immigrant visas/citizenship... But these days, all junkies from war torn nations, third world criminals and their children (with money) getting into Canadian universities. Earlier, Universities used to conduct exams at off shore centres and select candidates but now a days it looks like Universities are bankrupt and ready to take in anybody with money thanks to agents of these education institutes( These agents make even a Donkey with money Qualify for university admission !) Those who get into these universities are more interested in all other things except Studies....So Quality immigration is more important than Quantity imigratikn. Hope Canadian Govt will take a critical look into this aspect. We xan not see developed cojntries having this anarchy on the streets on a daily basis.

When my kids were in high school, the student population at their school was 84% Punjabi. Nice kids, nothing against them, but that says to me that, given the severe crisis in housing and the cost of living, we maybe ought to make things livable for the people who are already here (regardless of whether they were born here) before inviting a lot of new people to come and put more strain on the system

More people from all over the world, open borders and monthly checks, housing, food, phones maybe they will be lucky too or maybe some who has it in for America will enter while its easy. It’s the governments fault. We have laws and policies in place but are hardly ever enforced by our elected officials.

So, it’s not the large increase in immigrants that’s the problem. It’s that we need to tax and spend more to take in large amounts of people who don’t owe anything to…when costs and standard of living have already noticeably decreased……..right

Because our prime minister wants to win the next election, and he's willing to ruin our country to do it! There is no need for people who refuse to accept our ways, language, etc. If they want to make it like the country they left, then stay there! If you refuse to at least learn the language, you're not welcome in our county, it's pretty simple. It has nothing to do with race, we just need to vet who we let in more and control how many come in LEGALLY

We do not need more people right now, its simply factually incorrect. These people are misinformed and ignorant, look at the stats from the recent OECD. Real GDP per worker has been trending downwards as our population goes up in recent years. Unemployment and homelessness is spiking. The current strategy is failing miserably, and worsening the problems it was meant to help.

Overpopulation overpopulation overpopulation makes every problem on the planet impossible to solve. We need every government in the world to have policies that encourage people to have 2 or fewer children. As the population stabilises and slowly reduces rents will be more affordable, unemployment will be reduced, pollution causing climate change will reduce, loss of animal habitat and species extinction will stop, happiness and health will increase for everyone.

Not just Canadaz but a lot of not all Western countries. We have well documented infrastructure issues, housing shortages, an overwhelmed medical service... yet we keep bringing in more and more people from the Third world.\n\nSomething is eventually going to give.

Canada does NOT need just more people. We need people who will assimilate culturally who are highly skilled. We don't want to end up like Sweden or France where entire enclaves of immigrants don't speak the language and refuse to assimilate. We also need affordable housing for the people who are already here.

Well this is happening in the whole world !\n\nUncontrolled mass influx of wealthy people and foreign investment has triggered the housing crisis we are facing.\n\nIt is not only immigrants but wealthy international students too, coming with whole families and able to pay whatever it takes to rent the the house they want. \n\nThey have inflated rents to the point that young Canadians can no longer fulfill their dream of owning a house as their parents did.\n\nThe first step is to turn off the immigration flow and start building bungalows, which people can afford to buy, as was done in the post-war period.\n\nNo more bullding luxury condos or townhouses. Young Canadians need something affordable to be able to leave their parents' homes.

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. It is totally about too much population and a failed idea of exponential growth ,more and more people is a joke on us Canadians that does not work for anyone except bankers .We have to stop further immigration ,get it together and build .there is no more room in zToronto or Vancouver .send the immigrants to Regina and Saskatoon where the is room and like my Ukrainian grandparents were send in the 1930 to develop the land and serve a purpose to Canadas further development and future .The current immigration policies are a failed joke ,on us .

It's not really the fault of immigrants or foreigners that you feel insecure both socially and economically. It's the fault of the system that allowed them to enter the country in the first place. They're just trying to survive like the rest of us in Canada.\n\nBut we cannot deny the fact that more immigrants or foreigners means more demand for housing, rent, food, and other necessities, leading to higher prices. The only people who benefit from this system are the rich, not the working class.\n\nIf you're not rich, can you live with ever-increasing inflation caused by demand pressures and supply interruptions due to population increase and unexpected natural and man-made disasters? Your answer to this question will determine your real position on whether or not immigration is perfect for Canada.

People complain about doctors leaving to the States for more money. But reality is, there is no job opening for new specialists finishing up fellowship. So they are pushed around diff hospital as part timer and they end up leaving. Family doctors are also pushed to become a hospitalists or to just become surgery assistant to avoid paperworks and fees that follow being family doctors. Our healthcare is becoming useless because our government is not grasping the reality.\n\nWe need more highways, a real metro system for to support its growing population with integrated infrastructure. If we need to construct more housing, make it possible for architects to build faster and make it easier to become an architect here too. What is wrong with our roads? Gardiner is being fixed and I hope not for 10years. \n\nThis government legalized drugs for taxation, but cannot control harder drugs invading our cities. Our parks are filled with needles...\n\nNow I am in the process of dual citizenship to move out while I retire. Because I dont want to be sick and wait for 10-20hours in the ER.

I like multiculturalism and this country is founded on immigration. But we need to put cap on each country when receiving them so to maintain the balance of good mix.\n\nI get bothered why this guy statistically divide white vs others. In the end this land belongs to the indigenous people none of us. \n\nAnyways, most of my friends from Western Europe, Japan, Korea and Singapore - first world nations, have already moved back after couple of years of living here. Aa a dual citizen myself, I plan on retiring in my other country.\n\nThis country has to realize if they receive massive influx of people- they need to invest and build more infrastructure. Look at Gardiner- it's constantly on construction mode. Hire more surgeons and make better family doctor system. This government only legalized marijuana and brought more problems. We used to live near Trinity bellwood and the park is now filled with used needles. \n\nAs for homelessness, it's always been there and it got worse during economic depression (2008 mortgage crisis) and current prime rate/inflation situation. Even if you study stats from government subsidized housing, most immigrants work and get out of help but the old immigrants (whites) usually don't flip out of the situation for generations. So there is no reason to tie and blame the Indians for our old problem of homeless population. Stay on point and stop tying it down with non-related issues.

Immigration is a HUGE issue , surtout from India. I moved to Quéebec, who at one point wanted their identity to remain francophone, we have Indian immigrants on Québec like I was In Toronto, or Bramladesh, Québec used to immigrate people spoke the language, or had the likelyhood to adopt the culture. Haiti, Africa, France, etc.. however, Inia immigrants have ( majority ) no intention to speak french.... and yes housing crisis , needs for doctors and more..

The government says we need immigrants to fill the jobs left by retiring boomers. Millennials, plus GenX ers out number Boomers so there are lots of people out there to fill jobs. Corporations like Mac Donalds, Tim Hortons etc. want immigrants so they can keep their costs low and make even more money.

also if you go to other countries that isn't first world. why do they h8 immigrates? and they don't like other people from third world countries as well. who the bigot one now?\nmy parents are immigrants, so im not really against immigrants. i think it is better if we have enough housing and then open the border more. \npeople joke about why....because trudeau needs to import voters cause this own citizens are trying to vote him out

Man I love reading the comments in this video! We also face a similar challenge in other countries that housing is a crisis and governments keep bringing in all sorts of immigrants, from refugees to highly skilled people (like myself). I have switched 5 cities and the story either gets more worse or less worse. Half a year searching for a decent apartment? Some search for years! It's a full time job. The government gets back to my request after many months! Foreigners offices are packed with applications and citizenship is taking years long now. Getting a doctor appointment (psychological issues) within a year is hard, unless you pay from pocket or are in grave danger. We are being squeezed in here and they started new loose immigration policies to be more attractive to foreigners. Address the quality of life at the same time!
