I have been in Canada for 28 years, as an Immigrant myself, i can tell you, you don't need to be a born canadian to see the spike of immigration and changes that happened to this country as a result from that. i went to Niagara Falls last year, i couldn't move around due to the flood of sooooo many people. i understand that it is a touristic place, but the only tourists i saw are coming from India or pakistan. and i doubt that they flew from there. and before calling racist or anything, i am brown too... the latest idea in my head, is to go back home. if i went across an ocean to find the same people that i left, what is the point ?!, i just go back and have them as neighbors....

I wonder if Canadians did all this to India how they would welcome us lol I ask an India that question and he said there would be riots in the streets, just think when we complain we are racist and could be jailed here in Canada. WOW Canada is due to fail and become a third world country

You honestly believe Canadians that are mistreated and not given the same opportunities and considerations in respect to jobs and worship in other countries that their citizens would fight for us and our right to exist in their space as much as we do for them here? Lastly do you people believe that the governments of the countries where these immigrants hail from would be worried about looking racist or xenophobic because they don’t care to accept us? I repeat it has nothing to do with racism here but we couldn’t and shouldn’t freely take in so many people anymore we can’t sustain this and we are absolutely gullible for believing otherwise.

The conservatives don’t touch the subject because of the fear of being perceived as “racist”. it's not just Brampton on. it's the same here in Alberta, there is whole communities where everything is for them , you can't even look at some neighbour hoods for housing because all the realtors are Indian and the sales are only advertised on their sites in their language and not for sale to Canadians. its a big community where we live and were being pushed out.. There's nothing wrong with immigration as long as it's controlled, people enter legally and do what it takes to adapt to the host countries' values. As a hindi speaking Indian I.T. professional, I don't understand why Punjabis, Gujaratis, and Tamil Indians are always dying to move to Canada? Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. These student ended up in PEI as that govt. wanted their money, as college fees. The outsiders are always an easy target and I presume this is what the prior waves of immigrants like Irish, Italians & Polish faced in North America. While I am a proponent of people whole-heartedly embracing the culture of the place they immigrate to, racist insinuations do harm to the whole society. Most people moving to Brampton in fact create more jobs (Doctors, Teachers, Barbers, Homebuilders, etc.) and increase the tax base for the benefit of all. This is why US & Europe are miles ahead of Japan, Russia & Europe that are not as welcoming towards immigrants.

If folks only knew what's been happening in London england these days where Islamists refuse to assimilate and are taking over the streets of London and the Police are not doing their jobs and Islamists clearly are wanting to change the country from what its been for thousands of years this sentiment is happening a lot more often. i am from hamilton and we are still very diverse here. yes brampton is quiet loaded with indians. i think what has failed is the requirements for immigration has dropped. i mean we use to have highly educated people come in but now the standards have dropped. so anyone with low standards can come walk in. pubjabi votes for jagmeet or trudeau and they are the group with highest crimes in india the state of punjab and there is a big drug and drinking culture that comes here. the minute our standards grow up with immigration requirements then we will get more educated bunch coming in. when we have greedy power hungry people run the country this is what happens. now people are fed up. the other day i was at freshco and some white guys started to lecture me and he openly admitted he is a racist. i pulled out my camera and started to record. he backed off but he could have done anything. he rude and stupid. i was also quiet upset. people were not like this and were more accepting. i can understand his frustration but he said openly he was racist and called me Fxxxxxxx indian etc... this is out of line. i also gave him a mouth full. i told him i have been here 35 years and his mood changed but its quiet disappointing how people react. its not safe or respectful. not sure where we are headed in canada.

the trouble with immigration policy in canada is that it is no longer tied with the economic need but has become rooted in an idea that immigration is something that is always progressive and desirable. Hence, the more the better, has been the guiding principle for years. any discussion of the merits of liberal immigration policy was discouraged and any questioning of an ever growing number of newcomers was portrayed as racist. bad actors in the form of unscrupulous businesses capitalized on this attitude and started importing ever larger number of temporary foreign workers which depressed wages and incomes. To the mix were added international students who came into the country in their hundreds of thousands in search of work and eventual permanent residence rather than education. critical mass was reached in 2022 and was further exacerbated in 2023. things got so completely out of control that even LPC - the champions of large scale immigration, had to implement some half-baked and half-hearted measures to stem the flow. where this will end up is anybody's guess but once the floodgates are open, they are virtually impossible to close. i am sure we will be dealing with the consequences of imprudent immigration policies for years if not decades to come.

When I walk into the local Walmart I feel more like a stranger abroad because I don't understand what people are saying because they are all immigrants and refugees.\nI'm no racist, but having the government impose this on the population is such a disrespect. The health management situation was never fixed and we pour in multitudes of refugees to clog it even better. A few years ago clinics changed their way of getting an appointment because waiting rooms were overfilled with refugees! It's now so hard to get an appointment it stresses me out to no end! The silver lining in this is that I have not much more time to live. You can have the country. It's not mine. Things weren't like this in my youth!
