Trudeau is a clown. This is a guy who thwarts free speech and jailed his own people and took their money away during peaceful protests. Canada has enjoyed a a trade surplus against us forever. They also do not have to pay for military since they are right next to us. They should be doing whatever we want. Canada was sending recyclable trash to the Philippines. When the trash arrived it was not recyclable. Philippine president said stop sending but Canada continued to send it. So finally he said if you send one more ship, we will declare no war on you. And if that happened, without US help, even the Philippines would destroy Canada in a war. Way more fighting aged males and Canada has a worthless military. Canada has a GDP of 5-10% of US. So Trudeau acting tough is hilarious. Like a chihuahua barking at a grisly bear. If push came to shove, in the time of US war need, the US would simply take whatever it wanted from Canada. That's what happens when you don't develop your own substantial military-just like Europe now.

As a Brit... I've been to Canada many times (the first time as a soldier in 1981) and of late in the likes of BC, I've fished there. Love, love, love Canada and the Canadians. I've been to America too, and I love it there also. And while I'm not always a good judge of people...I flatter myself I'm a VERY good judge of character. And oh man, have they ever got it wrong with this Trump fella. Now there's a bloke I would not like to find myself in a combat situation since he'd likely shoot me in the back and run the other way. The ONLY thing that is standing in the way of Trump are the Federel judges that actually understand the constitution and do not want to destroy this nation. The fly in the ointment? Courts can issue an order based on the constitution or our laws, but does not have any way to enforce them if Trump should just disregard their order. I almost completely support everything he says. My problem comes with his comments on Fentanyl. Please, this medication is a game changer for so many suffering daily in agony with chronic pain or deadly conditions. For those who need it medically, it is strictly controlled and monitored. Fentanyl is “eaten” by pain, so for those who need it there is no high, just relief.\nThose on it legally already have to deal with a great amount of prejudice, being treated as addicts and dealers when they are just trying to find a way to survive immense pain everyday. This medication allows them to get out of bed, to attend school or work, to have a life. It gives them hope and relief. \nThe opioid crisis is real, but those on a prescription are not the cause. Canada already has some of the strictest protocols in the world for this medication, leaving many people in agony as they loose access to it. \nDon’t take away something that is saving them. The drug is not wrong, those selling it illegally are in the wrong.

Don't worry Tariffs are paid for by Canada I really do not know if he is so stupid he believes that or he knows and does not care either way it is so dumb and hurtful to think otherwise. The last time tariffs like this were in place was the late 1800's and early 1900's. I effectively spent a chunk of my childhood in America with relatives. I treasured these memories, but now all the feelings of wonder and happiness when thinking of my visits to America have faded. In Toronto, I went grocery shopping after work and there was certainly a sense of national pride & determination in everyone there. Lots of people clustering around certain products and helping others, scanning products with apps that identify supply chains. As I went to the cashier, I dutifully returned my OJ to the store fridge and picked up some apple cider instead. To me this is more than existential, this is personal.\n\nWe will not back down; Canada shall prevail ?
